couple weekend sanity night

I had a pleasant stay overall. The bed was very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant and bar, where the live music was a highlight.

However, one area that could be improved is the customer service. Unlike many hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe, there didn’t seem to be much of a focus on warm greetings or friendliness toward guests. From arrival through to check-out, I didn’t feel particularly welcome, and the interaction with the receptionist felt a bit impersonal—“just ok and next” summed up the attitude.

Stayed at hotel as a good location for Funtasia waterpark in Drogheda. Only 12 mins away so great spot. The hotel is off the motorway with nothing else close by. If you want an evening meal you will either eating the hotel or drive into town. Nothing walkable. We had three people with special dietary needs and all we're pleased with their evening meal which is a rare occurrence!!

Hotel is clean, modern and staff helpful.

My only concern was the air conditioning. Our room was very hot as the AC didn't work. We were on the motorway side of the hotel so lots of car noise with the windows ajar.

Top tip....make sure you get a room facing the car park rather than the motorway and check your AC works as soon as you check in.

This is a clean and well run property. The room was adequately sized, and the be was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The Circle K convenience store and Subway inside it are good options within easy walking distance for sundries and as an alternative to the restaurant. I would have like for them to have an exercise room.

We were looking for a 24-hour desk because we weren’t sure when we would arrive. Check in was quick and easy. We were somewhat mystified by the gate when we drove in. You need a code to leave the lot and the code is posted everywhere.

The room was huge with a large walk through closet and plenty of seating. Everything we needed was there, hot water kettle, coffee annd tea, and a safe. The kettle didn’t work but this was fixed after I told the desk. Bottled water was provided. There was a gas station nearby and the hotel was near the highway but very quiet.

Breakfast had a lot of choices, although with a gluten free, dairy free diet, choices were limited. There was gf bread and a separate toaster but on the second day, there was no bread at all.

I would recommend this hotel; we didn’t use the facilities but this is closer to what we’re used to.

Paid for breakfast without realising that flight was in the morning, one was flying out another missed breakfast and got no refund althought staff thought they were being helpful by calling in manager on request to have linch instead he them said breakfast isnt transferable to lunch and they can not issue out a refund. Thats when i asked about a discount and was given a business card and told to email next time i decide to stay at the hotel again, which is when i then asked how he will know its me and he said he'll tell by email and he'll remember. Would of rather had refubd or had lunch instead. Mind u that 2 x 12euro thats 24euros

They have AC!!

Room had a double and 2 singles, the all important AC, and an elevator in the hotel. Room was comfortable and clean, and the shower had great power! Only improvement would be to have a drain plug that came up a little higher so it could keep up with the power of the shower and drain faster instead of pooling around the ankles. Nice that check out is noon, especially as we stayed here our first night and were still getting over the jetlag the next morning. Didn't get up in time to try the breakfast, but that's ok. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms. Must also give kuddos to whatever sports team pulled up at the same time as we did. I was worried they would be a noisy bunch, but never heard them, and when passed them during check in, the were all polite and well behaved young men. Good job parents and coaches! So different from past experiences back home in the US.
Highly recommend!

Stay w/people who take care when things go wrong

We had quite the interesting stay - the bathroom lock in our room broke, with my husband inside. Three staff members came promptly, were determined to get him out, and were very nice while they worked on the problem. I have no doubt that the lock malfunction was not due to any maintenance issue, but was just one of those things.
Many thanks to all of those staff members, plus the one working the front desk who dispatched them and the day manager the next morning who made it right. I would definitely stay again because of them.
And breakfast was delicious.

The hotel was pleasant but not exceptional. The exterior of the hotel could use some minor renovations. The front desk receptionist I spoke with when checking in had no personality and was not friendly. The restaurant was very lively and the waiters/waitresses were attentive, but the food was mediocre.

I ordered a Bailey’s coffee and it took 3 attempts for them to finally prepare it correctly. Our original waitress I placed the drink order with prepared me an Irish Coffee (which uses whiskey), instead of the Bailey’s one I asked for. We flagged down a supervisor and requested it be remade; she admitted that the drink did not look correct as well. It took 2 more attempts of remaking to receive the correct drink.

I ordered a burger meal, which the patty was absolutely flavorless and the fries had no seasoning at all. I had to flag another waitress down to request sauces. There were no sauces on the tables and when they take your order, they do not bother to ask if you need any nor do they offer any napkins; we had to ask. My fiancé ordered a pizza which was primarily thick greasy cheese and hardly any sauce, it was like just eating straight cheese. My mother ordered the seafood chowder, which was all seafood chunks and almost no soup.

Great hotel for family stay

Great hotel for a family stay. Movie room for the kids where movies played at set times.
Room was clean and well maintained.
Breakfast was good, but not the greatest. For the bacon you'll need very strong teeth.
Coffee and tea is in urns, great if you like a very strong cup of tea. However, upon request a fresh cup will be made. All in all would definitely return.

This hotel could not be found by my iPhone resulting in an hour of running back and forth on M1, paying tolls, and having to guess at back roads to ever find it. My iPhone found the smallest restaurants and inns in Italy and Portugal.

Cons: pillows hard, room basic with no fridge, restaurant Sunday food poor quality, tables/ cutlery/ glasses not very clean and service very poor. Caters for large tour buses at breakfast so other customers don’t get the service expected.

Not really a 4 star hotel, more like a 3. Avoid the restaurant, much nicer places in nearby Duleek.

Booked this hotel for the convenience of being near airport. The only dining options were at the hotel. Nearby town is further away than expected. When we arrived they did not have our reservation and room was switched to a different room style. Beds were very uncomfortable but linens were clean. Room could have used better cleaning as there were coffee/tea splashed on wall near kettle. Television was not working. Shower was not draining properly.

We had a lovely stay in city north the night before my wedding. My family and bridal party stayed there was it was very close to our venue, and the staff could not have done more for us. From the minute I booked it they were in touch to see if they could do anything, right up until check out. We ate in the restaurant on site and the food was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very spacious and facilities were excellent. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Solid stay for work, a little dear for room only.

Rooms was clean and tidy, though plenty of noise from boy-racers outside. Several fittings in the bathroom and room were loose and the main bed mattress was quite sunken. Still slept well and the staff were very friendly.
I didn't have breakfast on-site due to COVID-19.

Accommodation only on 5th Floor overlooking M1 motorway was a disaster. The air con had been set at 24ºc and the room was very warm on arrival. The window only opens a few cm's (safety requirement?) but the noise from the traffic was overpowering so much so that by 5am, we concluded that having turned the air con to its lowest setting and the intrusive noise from the motorway, it would be better to depart the hotel. Definitely will never reserve accommodation here again.

Nice to have fruit and water provided in the room.The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, taxis are very expensive (€20 to travel 2miles). Plan your stay meticulously if you don’t have transport.
