I really appreciated how big and clean the room was. The bed was also large and comfortable and there were plenty of places to put things away.
Luke most places we stayed in Ireland, The air circulation in the bathroom was insignificant and not quite up to the challenge of dealing with typical shower humidity, but turning on the air conditioning in the bedroom helped.
The food and services were excellent and the location is convenient to the airport. Would recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights as we were visiting Emerald park & it’s a short drive to the park.
The staff were very helpful and the standard of food was brilliant at breakfast & in both the bar & restaurant. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel.

Rooms are large with very comfortable beds. Fantastic walk in shower. Breakfast was good. Dinner was really good apart from the chips. They were way too salty. I don't understand why some chefs insist on smothering chips in salt. Let the customer help themselves to the salt if they want it. We asked for a little taste of the curry sauce before deciding on whether to order it. We were told we couldn't have it.

All around a pleasant stay

Nice hotel,lovely views, rooms nice & modern, air conditioning a plus, decent pool & spotless changing area. Very family oriented hotel so lots of entertainment for kids. Peaceful at night which was a huge plus. The only downside was the shower in our room didn’t drain properly and would fill with water.

Would stay again.

The facilities, food and staff were wonderful. The only down points were our room was cold and the radiator and heating didn’t seem to work when we adjusted the thermostat. Also our details were leaked in a security breach and no apology was offered. I do believe they will have improved their security in response to this so it’s more just an annoyance for those effected than something that new customers need to be concerned about.

Positives - staff at reception and in the time restaurant were very friendly and welcoming.

Negatives! -
room wasn't clean, bench wasn't even wiped down
Safe didn't work
Broken fan in the room
USB socket didn't work
TV wasn't a smart tv
Dirty moldy taps in bathroom
No soap to wash hands
Balcony very dirty and green!!
Torn curtains
2 beds with no headboards
Duvet blankets very yellow
Room was very hot, even with heating turned off
Breakfast wasn't included
Hotel pool very dirty and moldy!! And no separate changing room lockers, it was just one big room. Shouldn't be like that this day and age. Also couldn't lock the lockers for belongings. Had to buy a lock to lock it which cost 10 euro.
Will not be back to this hotel

Nice property and staff . However, there was no air conditioning -and it wasn’t indicated in the original booking- the staff said they haven’t had it in quite a few months so it was a condition that should’ve been disclosed. The hotel staff did bring up a spacer air conditioner and fans, for both rooms , but it really didn’t do the job. I might’ve booked elsewhere if I knew there wasn’t any air, we all perspired during the night. Again, the staff was really lovely and did the best they could.

Near Emerald Park. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside waa there was no water in the rooms and vending machine took my money. When I reported this to the hotel I was told I need to call the number on the vending machine because the hotel doesn't own the machines.

Clean hotel and room was very nice and spacious. Staff were pleasant although not overly helpful in hotel. The leisure centre staff were quite nice and helpful. We were on the 5th floor but unfortunately there was a TY ball on for our first night and the whole room was vibrating from the music. Not the easiest to get the children to sleep with that 🙈

A very medicore stay for the price we paid

I was disappointed by the standard of the hotel given the price we paid for our stay. We found the staff very friendly and the service was good but I was very shocked when the restaurant staff member told me not to worry about leaving a tip as this doesn't get passed on to the staff at the hotel. I find it disgraceful that the Management of the hotel would be able to get away with this.

The room had very thin quilts and I was freezing had to take the quilt off another bed to keep me warm.. and I am from Scotland!! No hot water, shower and bath were so cold it was a very fast experience. Food was lovely and staff very friendly.

No what you see in the pictures

Terrible service the rooms smell like stale cigarettes. The pool is less than half the size of the photos the bar staff were rude and not trained to do their jobs. We had to sit in the bar as the restaurant was full even though most of the tables in the restaurant were empty. Weve never stayed in a hotel so badly run and false. Also you a code to leave the property if your driving and no member of staff tell you this as you check out. Way over priced room rate and the food is expensive for what you actually get

We spent a little extra to stay here as it was the end of a road trip and we wanted to utilize the amenities- pool, spa, etc. Upon arrival, we were very disappointed to find out that nothing was available to us. I feel that a portion of that cost should have been deducted.
When leaving, we had a rental car issue. Noel, at the front desk, was very helpful and kind. He is a great representative for your hotel!

My biggest issue is that I had booked 2 double rooms but when I checked in they only had us down (4 people, 2 men and 2 women) for one family room. When I explained to the receptionist that my booking was in fact for 4 rooms, she was unhelpful. It was only when I came down again with evidence of my bookings that she called the manager who somehow managed to find another room.

The other issue we had is rowdy antisocial fellow guests (Sat pm & early hours of Sun morning) who woke us up.

Apart from that, staff were efficient, polite and helpful, especially in the bar/restuarant.

Had an overnight stay after day trip to Tayto Park.
Hotel was excellent. Service was brilliant. Value for money though is not great. Ate in the bar and food was way over priced for what we got. Very basic chips and burger at crazy hotel prices. Just value for money not there post Covid which is very disappointing.

We stayed for 2 nights for our Tayto Park visits. Hotel is very clean, staff are friendly. Bar and restaurant can be a little busy but food was lovely. Rooms are clean and ours was spaceous. A few sockets and USB connectors not working but that didn't affect our stay overall.

Great location to Tayto Park 5 mins away. Plenty of parking. Cinema across the street. Pool needs to be booked and was full when we arrived. Nice bar area and seats to sit outside. Reception staff very nice. Beds weren’t great you could feel the springs. Shower in bedroom didn’t work. Called reception Maintenance didn’t show after we waited an hour. We had to leave. Over all nice hotel great location but definitely lacking the 4* experience.

We booked to stay close to tayto park. The food in the bar was excellent.
Staff were very friendly on check in and serving in the bar were friendly and nothing a bother to them.
The rooms were clean, no complaints.
Breakfast was a bit poor, they had plenty of choice but the eggs and sausages were not great but it wouldn’t stop us from booking again.

Pillo has so much potential if only..

I was slightly disappointed with the Pillo hotel our room was dated and in my opinion needing a good deep clean, there was an empty bottle of vodka behind the curtains that the kids found, dust on the plugs and you could see hand prints all over the door, perhaps I am expecting to much as I do admit I love to clean. The pool was a different story all together, the changing area had no family changing rooms male and female split. So as a family we were divided with one large change bag, so who takes what? So I could make a suggestion to perhaps have a few of these installed. The female change room was really rough and needing up dating, some cold showers, broken lockers, peeling paint, cracked mirrors and mildew, really shocking. The pool itself was good the Ceiling needing painted or something and a good clean out, but the kids loved it, only thing was we only got 35 mins in the pool (and we were on time for our pre booked slot)when we were asked to leave to make way for more people, kids were not impressed. The reception, bar and restaurant area is beautiful, food and drink is very reasonable, the staff are lovely and work really hard. The kids disco is great, I would return to the hotel but only if the pool area and rooms have been updated as it has so much potential to be fantastic.

I would not rate the room a 2 star

The air conditioning in the room was not working in room 408 , the tiles on the floor wer cracked in bathroom, had a shower the following morning nearly broke my neck because the shower was so slippy ,also the bed headrest was missing buttons off the screws , the following morning we wer second guessed that we hadn’t paid for breakfast and still they persisted we hadn’t aid for it even tho on check I had paid and had proof on a plus side the service in the restaurant was top notch could not fault in particular an old lady that worked the restaurant floor was on point

Fantastic family 2 night stay . Very clean hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet food was one of the nicest breakfasts I have ever had and we had food from the lunch and evening menu during our stay and were top class . We have a diabetic son and they were very accommodating in letting us bring in his own meals to reheat . Pool and gym were spotless and very modern . Can’t wait to go back again , 5 stars , top class .

Stay was great but slightly disappointing to not being able to get booked Into the pool although this was due to covid restrictions it would have been better if it was advertised or in an email to tell us how to get in before arriving.

The beds weren't comfy at all for myself or husband. We didn't sleep well at all, had a broken sleep and woke with sore backs, also the pillows where extremely thin.

Although the room was clean and tidy, but we're bit worried with the cracks in windows with the young kids being there as we were on top floor.

They did however leave a lovely set of rose petals on our bed as we were meant to be on our honey moon but had to cancel due to it being red listed.

Breakfast was amazing, very warm, was served by a server but was stil la buffet style breakfast. Food tasted lovely and was attended to with all we asked. So overall id give 8/10.

Easy check-in, family room of 2 double beds was perfect and reception had accommodated our request for 2 rooms close by our other party. Restaurant food good enough standard. Mixed messages about booking the pool and take a swim hat as this was previously not advised. Pool lovely and very small playpark for younger kids.

Hotel is perfect location for Tayto park. Food is good however we were asked to give up our table after 2 hours even though we wanted to stay in the bar longer for a drink. Also our time was restricted in the pool due to covid which I felt unnecessary as the facilities weren't busy. Could do with some more activities in the evening to keep kids entertained however will use again on our next trip to Tayto park. Staff were very helpful

Very disappointed with this hotel, Advertised as 4* but first impressions on arrival more like 2*
Staff friendly on arrival, room had clothing and shoe's left in.
We were situated on the 4 floor with two young children, safety catch on window not attached.
Also stain on bed linen and vallance
And tap in bathroom broken.

Room was spacious and clean. Had a small fridge (great for milk for baby), hairdryer, plenty of towels, and cosy beds. Restaurant was busy enough but being bank holiday, that's expected. Swimming pool was fab and staff there were so nice to fit us in. Only problem had with pool was no children before 10. Hard when children are up early and play room isn't open for them and trying to keep them occupied. Small playground outside which was handy too. Free parking and close to Tayto Park which was brilliant.
