This is a fine hotel… But I have one serious warning! Even though it clearly says Clayton hotel AIRPORT… It is not the Clayton hotel nearest to the airport. This particular one is about 15 minutes away by Taxi. And dozens of people were doing the same thing I did… Booking the one that said airport and hoping it was the one that you could literally see from the airport… Not so. That one is the one that says town center or something like that. That was my only bad moment in the whole thing. They really really need to change the name. Somehow, it's absolutely messed up.🙄

We stayed here on 3 different occasions during a 2 week period. The airport shuttle was convenient and the drivers very helpful. Check in was flawless and the room was very comfortable and quiet. We took a taxi into the city on multiple occasions and the front desk always made sure we had one coming!

This was perfect for 1 night where airport access via shuttle was crucial. Accessing Dublin center city from here was expensive and time consuming, but we anticipated that when we prioritized airport access to fly out the next morning.
Our stay was during a heat wave and Ireland does not have AC, but they provided us with fans for comfort. We were very pleased and would gladly stay here again if a Dublin airport hotel is needed. Check in and out via online methods was a breeze and I wish more hotels to adopt this process.

Good airport hotel. The room was pretty clean, had a few small, washed stains on the bed sheets. Otherwise seemed pretty spotless. Large-sized room for a European hotel (coming from an American). Lots of airline crews. Room service was quick, food was okay. Large, electric, shuttle busses to and from the hotel. Nice, large, modern hotel.

Only gripe was how long the bus took to accommodate us from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was taking in a bunch of Aer Lingus passengers who'd been left stranded after a cancelled flight, and we were told by the bus driver that he was only taking those people with a voucher from Aer Lingus. So we, paying customers who booked in advance, had to wait another 10-15 minutes for a second bus.

In evening of arrival I wanted to hang out at bar and have a beer, watch a game, but was told to go in other lounging area very uninviting. The Wow, Dublin? The rooms are outdated, especially the bathroom .Matress amd pillows uncomfortable, the entrance door is so heavy to open that my shoulder is still hurting. No surrounding worth while to hang out to relax. Ah, and not to forget the poor food when ordering a salmon on bread. Their \" signature dish\", standard salad souce and dried out, not fresh capers as highlight.... the shuttle was on time.

The hotel is beautifully appointed but the door to the bathroom was ***poorly!!! designed. The door opened inside the bathroom blocking access to the toliet.

Staff training at the reception needs to be improved. When I asked about getting to the city centre, I was told to get a taxi. I was not given any options e.g. take the free shuttle to the airport, take a bus into town.=== take a ride to the nearest train/tram to the city centre.
Given the cost of hotels in Ireland and the UK, we prefer to spend our $ on the hotel not on the taxi. As well, I really enjoy the bus which I find it is an excellent way to interact with the local residents and to learn on how to get around.
Note that staff not at reception were much more helpful.

The staff, specifically the housekeepers, were very helpful. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the lack of air conditioning in the room. We had to keep the window open to cool the room. Because we had the window open, we heard trucks backing into the loading dock area behind the hotel and other vehicular noise coming from the road. These translated to inadequate sleep every night. We did not get very good sleep. Will probably not stay here again next time.

The A/C was not working in our first room so they put us in a second room. The A/C ALSO was not working in the second room. The front desk staff was not helpful and kept trying to blame us on the issue even though their maintenance staff had come to our room and said there was nothing they could do. Finally after moving three times we found a room with a working A/C. Hotel staff did not apologize or offer any further accommodation. Very disappointing.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. If I have one thing to comment on is the elevator placement. Our room was at the very end of the hall, quite a long way from the elevator to push, pull or carry luggage to our room. Not a luggage trolley anywhere. The food was really good, quite a breakfast selection so worth the extra cost. Dinner was also very good, service was on the ball. Overall I would recommend!

The hotel is quite nice, close to the airport and has a large restaurant/ lounge area, regular free bus service to and from airport.

Our unit didn’t seem to have any air conditioning and only a small window for outside air. Because the weather was warming up the room was warm during the night which prevented us from sleeping comfortably.

I would rate a 7 out of 10. I'm sorry, but hotels need to accept the fact that summers are getting warmer and need to invest in AC. Also, for a suite, the room was pretty lackluster. The door to the bathroom would automatically close and with no ventilation, it could get quite stuffy. Plus, they did not refill the coffee supplies. Last, the hotel is not that close to the airport compared to others. The staff were friendly and the common areas were nice, just too warm (no AC there either).

We picked the hotel to stay near the airport as we were connecting through. This hotel is actually off property and a shuttle ride away. There’s actually another Clayton Hotel called the Clayton Dublin Airport Central which is walkable to the airport.

This hotel is fine and served us well with two exceptions. 1. When we arrived we wanted to find out about the shuttle. We called the hotel multiple times and there was no answer. We ended up taking a cab. When we got to the hotel we told the person checking us in they aren’t answering the phones. He said they were too busy checking people in. This is not the staff’s fault it is the hotel’s fault. You must staff someone to answer the phone! You have people traveling in internationally and they need to speak with someone. 2. The shuttle runs every 20-25 minutes and it’s not clear there’s a schedule. You could end up waiting a long time. If they answered the phone we might have had a better idea.

I would avoid the hassle of the shuttle and stay at their other property first the convenience.

Booked for less than 8 hours, due to an airline issue. Clean, well maintained hotel located very near the airport. Only issue was that breakfast staff were a little rude when we showed up at a time which turned out to be 5 minutes early. Also, the hotel looks like it is in the airport parking, but oddly, the bus takes 10-15 minutes to get you to the terminal. No big deal, but surprising.

The restaurant and bar closed way too early. Why would you close them down when you have a full house? We ordered food right before the Italian restaurant closed. The man who took our order was not very welcoming. The bathroom smelled moldy. The shower curtain had mold on it in both the hotel rooms we rented.

Our stay was good overall. Our room AC was not working to the point it was cooler in the hallway than it was in our room. Someone was supposed to check on it, but never came. We were very happy with this hotel. Very efficient with communication leading up to and during our stay. Easy shuttle service to the hotel and back to the airport. Picked up our keys at a kiosk upon arrival with no waiting. Room was clean, efficient, comfortable and quiet. Only downside was not enough options for tv - would have liked using our subscription services on it. Went to the bar for dinner, which was good for what we wanted that night. Breakfast the next morning had a lot of options. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel seemed old and extremely busy. Thankfully, there's a completely automated system for check in and check out, assuming you've prepaid. That said, there seemed to be no air conditioning in the room, and it was pretty hot in there, even with the window open. Made for a pretty uncomfortable night. I would like to point out, though, that the airport shuttle was very convenient and large, meaning no passengers were left behind when it was time to catch fights. This was an excellent feature of the hotel.

Extremely busy with people either getting on or off a tour bus. Nice lobby, seating area, fitness center. Spacious and comfortable room. Interior insulation is worse than exterior - we heard no airplane noise, yet heard people talking the entire [bleeping] night. Location is convenient for dropping off rental car and flying out. Shuttle is full size bus and runs every 25 minutes or so, so you can't make a reservation and it's not a schedule like on the half hour. It was perfect for what we needed.

We booked the cheapest room so I can’t complain about overlooking the hotel rubbish yard. The water didn’t drain well from the basin but apart from that we had a large, comfortable room and a good breakfast. Pretty much all you need from an airport hotel. Clean and welcoming in an international hotel sort of way.
One thing I would point out is that there are two Clayton hotels, and the one named ‘central’ is not, as you may think, closer to central Dublin but closer to the centre of the airport. You need the hotel’s free shuttle bus to get to and from the’airport’ hotel. But it works fine. They suggest you go out of the hotel to the shuttle stop half an hour before you want to get to the terminal.
