Room was lovely, my husband's side of the bed was a little uncomfortable because the box spring clips seemed to be broken but he didn't mention anything to me until we left. We had a view of the golf course with a little view of the ocean.

The Jameson Bar manager abruptly turned off the bar TV as the NFL Super Bowl started and kicked everyone (about 15 people there then for the game) out with no other options. She was rude and angry when people asked about the resident rule. Overall the staff was good but the hours of operation of all restaurants and bar were limited and the food quality was average all
Meals. Need improvement in quality and guest relations.

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Service was excellent. We must single out the bellman Brian, who provided exceptional, helpful and friendly service. The location is quiet and close to the beach, Portmarnock and Malahide. Dublin is just an easy train ride away. Highly recommend a stay at this resort.

Everything was absolutely perfect - immaculate rooms, attentive and exceptional staff, quality of services etc. I cannot fault it in any way. Our sea view room was so quiet and peaceful - and nice to have coffee/tea/ little chocs in the room to just chill and enjoy the view.
We repeatedly return to this hotel and are never disappointed. It truly is a hidden gem!

Beautiful location on the Sea. There is a wonderful walking path along the coast that takes you all the way to Malahide. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The golf course looked beautiful (and challenging).

The room was very large and comfortable. There is a tub and walk in shower. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Portmarnock Resort. The staff was friendly and professional, particularly Brian. We had a golf course view from our room, which was great! Dinner in the bar and the breakfast buffet were both very good. Maps gave us incorrect directions so we were delayed in arriving. Luckily a man at a convenience store helped us out.

I think we got the last available room and it wasn’t anything special. This is a hotel for golfers. It has a beautiful golf course with amazing views of the sea. The property itself is really right on the beach. So if you golf and you love the beach, this place is for you. However, if you want a nice fluffy robe and a quiet place to relax or a hot meal with great service, maybe this place isn’t for you. Our room was nice enough, just basic. The first thing you see when you look out the window is a green moldy rail that looks like it has never been cleaned. I was surprised that a “resort” had so few amenities in the room. Also, there was a sign at the entrance to one of the dining rooms that told guests that if they didn’t want to be disappointed, they shouldn’t come to eat when the restaurant is busy. We took our chances and reserved a table for dinner at the other restaurant. The food was good, but the service was lacking. No greeting by the server and our second course took over 45 minutes. The WiFi was spotty and there was so much noise (weird, booming inexplicable thuds) all night long that we hardly slept. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed only for a night, but would definitely stay here again. Room was clean, with a view of the water, and the bathroom shower was fabulous! Water pressure strong and towels were super soft! location was so ideal for us. Golf was challenging and fun. Room was more than expected. had a Sea view room, able to open the window and breathe in the fresh sea air ..wonderful! Our room was not ready when we arrived in the afternoon. Room did not have any air conditioning and was very hot. To make matters worse the only bed covering was a heavy duvet. Did not get much sleep. In the morning, tried to shower but only scalding hot water would come out. Staff were very nice and their burger was excellent.

The sink water can not run through and water from the shower is too hot, which can not adjust.

The stuffs are nice, but can not fix the sink issue. They only temperately fix and come back the same issue again in few hours.

We have stayed for 8 days and pay for the breakfast. however the food for breakfast is the same every day. Do not have too many dining option for the evening. Do not have a lot restaurants near by.

Always stay here on the last night in Ireland due to its proximity to the airport.
I love to get up early and watch the sunset over the strand which is absolutely beautiful.
Hotel itself is just ok. Very North American vibes and not very authentic Irish.
They are clearly marketing to a particular demographic.
If you come to this hotel and don’t see any more of Ireland you are really missing out.
You can golf outside of Dublin for literally 1/6th of the price.

Lovely property. Would recommend staying on 2nd floor as people kept walking by our window as it was on a walking path (weird). Phone and a/c did not work in first room, but they were quick to move us to a room where everything worked. Pretty convenient to the airport, very close to beach. Best burger EVER at Puck burger... about a mile away. Seriously the BEST. Get the fries and garlic mayo too!

Wonderful beach access but that’s about it.

If it wasn’t for being able to walk on the beach which is where this hotel is located I wouldn’t stay here again. Hotel is looking quite tired. When checking in one of the staff members on reception was very rude to his colleague. Dinner service was sooo slow! Food was average.

Airlink Express bus stop is also down the road from the apartments on Lower Gardiner Street. All apartments are fitted with large LED Smart TVs with large selection of satellite TV channels and feature a digital safe, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, cooker and a work desk.

Private bathrooms feature power showers and free toiletries. Washing machines are available on site.

Most apartments feature sofa beds and are ideal for families, larger groups or business travellers who seek privacy and comfort of home only an apartment can offer. Kindly note the accommodation is located on the upper floors, and is accessible via stairs only.

Therefore it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairment. There are no parking spaces at the property however, there is ample street parking and a large car park is only 2 minutes' drive away.
