Great hotel very close to Dublin airport with free shuttle bus. Just make sure you don’t make the mistake I did and get on the Clayton hotel bus which leaves from the same bus stand.
The hotel was very comfortable and extremely quiet for an airport location.

Decently good airport hotel with a free shuttle. It was an updated room and comfortable bed however it was so hot - not air conditioning, only a small Dyson fan and ability to open a window. After travelling it’s not fun to sleep in a hot room. No hair conditioner or body lotion. Nice gym facility. We only had a coffee in the lobby coffee bar and ate breakfast at the airport.

AC had an admin lock set to turn on if temperature in room hit 28 degrees Celsius. That is unbearable to sleep in. Hotel staff was unwilling to change the settings and offered a fan to blow around the hot air. Fan was never delivered. I would not stay in this hotel any time of year due to the horrible service.

It's a beautiful hotel and the dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent. We were also very happy with the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, for the price we paid, I expected air conditioning in our room, or at least a circulating fan to use. The one window opened only a sliver and it got pretty stuffy in our room fairly quickly. That was during May; I can't imagine what it would be like during a summer heat wave.

Reception staff were efficient but not friendly. Rooftop bar & restaurant such an asset and the staff were fantastic, we encountered several who really worked hard at being friendly and accommodating. The outside area to eat would be enhanced by having a few more ‘just drinks’ tables.
Room was perfect for the stay and given we could see the planes landing and taking off from our room; deadly quiet when it came to sleep! Also, why do overnight guests have to pay for parking? Unusual and at least sink it into the cost of the room

Very oddly, the heater was on in our room, making it very, very hot. There was no thermostat to allow us to reduce the heat at all, so we ended up opening the windows to bring down the temperature within the room. Seemed kind of strange.

We had a lot of luggage but no real help with getting it to our room, fire doors were not staying open when maneuvering with the luggage carts; at a 4* hotel you could expect some help; maid who was nearby helped but it was not easy to keep door open while getting through; bathroom was a little dated but clean and good water pressure; restaurant had good food but also expected a bit more for the price.

Stayed one night prior to an international flight out of Dublin Airport. We are still on the quest for a GOOD airport hotel. Front desk service was not friendly or helpful. We were checked in, given room cards and not told of any of the hotel amenities. We stopped at the desk several times asking questions, some which were never answered or answered incorrectly. One server in the Kittyhawks bar (ground level) took our drinks ordered and just walked away, never filling the order or passing it on to another server. We had much better service upstairs in the Runway 28 bar. The one truly good aspect was the shuttle bus driver who who was very kind to our 92 year old mother.

Would not recommend staying here more than one night. The proximity to the airport and frequent airport shuttle is fantastic but that would be this hotels best quality. The rooms were clean but quite run down. The shower had mold in the caulking and a musty smell that came and went. We prefer the room cool at night, and this room remained quite warm so we didn’t get much sleep. For one night, this is doable but I think one would be quite disappointed if planning to stay more than that.

Had a lovely room overlooking the runway with a Balcony and as it was a lovely sunny day it was great to sit out and enjoy a pint of Guinness and read a book. A very relaxing way to start a holiday. Don’t forget to book the shuttle to the airport though, I didn’t like the fact the driver made a 10 year old child remover her seat belt and give up her seat and have to sit on her mums lap, other passengers did not have their seatbelts on. Being a drive from the hotel to the airport I was shocked that this was allowed to happen to accommodate those that had not booked seats. It’s clear when checking in that you need to book and the staff ask you if you need to book the shuttle or need a wake up call. I felt my safety was compromised although my seat belt was done up but in the event of an accident I would have been injured far more by loose, unbelted passengers. It was clear to the driver passengers were not strapped in due to the persistent warning beep that went on all the way to the airport. Quite unfair and an unnecessary risk. The driver who took me from the airport to the hotel was very strict thankfully and would not leave until every passenger had their seatbelts belt on.

Not a cheap hotel. Climate control wasn’t working and I had a horrible nights sleep. Couldn’t open the window enough to improve things. Restaurant was ok but pricey. Room was clean and otherwise comfortable. Carpet needed a deep clean and some issues with tile grouting in bathroom. I don’t understand why these things aren’t spotted and sorted out!

We stayed at the Carlton in a family room (two adults and two teenagers). Although we checked in late and left early, which meant we didn’t get to use all of the facilities, everything we did experience met our expectations. The room and hotel were spacious, exceptionally clean, and comfortably above basic standards. It was remarkably quiet. Based on what we saw, I would expect the rest of the facilities—particularly the dining options—to be equally impressive.
The staff were friendly and professional throughout our stay. Parking is well worth availing of, as the shuttle bus to the airport is frequent and completely hassle‑free. We will definitely use the Carlton again and strongly recommend this hotel

This hotel was an excellent property for an overnight stay before or after a flight out of Dublin International. There is an efficient, clean, shuttle to and from the property every 30 minutes. The restaurant was comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The only problem that I had with the room was the overused, overpowering fragrance that is used causing a fragrance sensitive person to have a heavy runny nose, blocked sinus and chest issues.

To be fair other hotels have started this practice and I wish they would stop because it causes breathing problems for scent entice people.

The transfer from airport to hotel was seamless. Front desk staff could have had a bit more welcoming and friendly. You do need to schedule the shuttle from the hotel to airport. Room was pleasant, balcony is useless it is very small and overlooks the parking lot and busy road. The roof top restaurant needed advance reservations and had nothing available for hotel guests. The Kitty Hawk Restaurant in lobby was pleasant.

We arrived at 10pm for an early morning flight. Staff were very pleasant on reception and pre-empted our needing a shuttle bus in the morning and made sure we had a reservation.

We did not use any of the amenities on this trip as just an overnight before our flight.

The only thing we would say is it was too hot in the hotel corridors, must be costing a fortune to heat

Stayed for one night, the few staff that we interacted with were friendly except for the shuttle driver. Usually the drivers we've had will chat, ask where you're from etc. not this guy.

This is an airport hotel so expectations were set fairly low. However, we were pleasantly surprised by how flawless the stay was. The room was comfortable and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful and it was so easy to catch the shuttle to the airport. The rooftop restaurant was also a nice surprise, the food was quite good. So, we will stay there again as we travel through Dublin.

I think this is the third time we've stayed at this hotel. We usually have had a long transatlantic flight and we usually find it easier to stay here before traveling on to Galway . It's very safe, clean and exactly what you needAfter a long trip I found the staff good on All occasions. The shuttle was easy to use and the only thing was that the last time we came 2 years ago this restaurant was much nicer and this time the food wasn't great and the service was slow. But other than that it's a good option, especially if you're trying to stay close to the airport
