It was very clean and such a cute hotel! The staff were very friendly and always open to help. It was in a nice location too, not far from the city center. Definitely reserve parking early if you need a spot since they only have a limited number of spots. There is street parking outside the hotel with a meter as well.

Our family really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfectly convenient to walk to everything we wanted to do while in Dublin… and easy access for transportation to our things to do outside the city center. We found the staff to be very available and accommodating, and our rooms were comfortable. We did miss having a refrigerator available in our room, but remember this is not a hotel, it is a guest house. We would absolutely stay here again!

The room and especially the bathroom are tight for space....but for the price and old buildings in an old city... this was half expected. The Staff were friendly and attentive. This property does not have an elevator (lift) and has 3 floors (4 technically, the number the floors differently), so I suggest asking for a lower floor if you can’t do several flights of stairs daily. This property also do not have Air Conditioning. Otherwise, it was nice and simple.

The staff was great, but the room was not. It was clean but lacked amenities. It was very hot in the room and the fan provided barely moved the air. The bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I have ever been in with a sink so small brushing our teeth was a challenge. Also, our room was in the foyer and we were awakened at all hours of the night by loud chatter from guests and/or early morning staff. The area around the Clifden House left a lot to be desired. It was horrendously filthy. The price was comparable to a four-star hotel but was 2-star quality. Would not recommend.

Nice staff, easy walkable area with great authentic places to eat nearby, tiny yet clean modern bathroom, surprisingly comfortable bed. Dublin hotels tend to be over-heated with no temperature control, but this one thankfully comfortable and window can be opened for fresh air. You can hear everyone talking in the stairwell, but I always bring my white noise machine with me and that made it better. Great brunch around the corner too.

We booked room for four people, so we got two-bedroom room but they were really narrow and not enough space. But we didn't spend a lot of time in a hotel so it was ok for night.

The standard twin room was perfect for me and my 15 year old daughter. Please note there is no lift (elevator), we were on the top floor (3rd floor) and staff were kindly enough to help with our suitcases when we checked in/out. There is staff at the front desk 24/7 which was comforting. Staff helped us book a taxi for our early morning departure. The location was great, nice and central. We were able to order Uber Eats with no problems. I would recommend staying here if you’re on a budget!

Our room was not available at arrival even, I advised in advance. I didn't get bath towels, the room was very small and the bathroom was almost unusable due to the size. Very uncomfortable to shower in it. As a plus the bed was small (even we request large) but comfortable.

This will be the last time I book through Orbitz as this hovel was so small that I could touch both walls with outstretched arms, for which I paid a lot of money. The room was not only tiny, but stuffy as well and overlooked a busy street making an open window quite inconvenient.

So small that you couldn't change your clothing in it in a shared room. There was very little storage for a quad room so we were living out of our suitcases which we did not have the room to do.

There’s no elevator so make sure you have a small suitcase. We had a big one and we were all the way up, in what used to be called “ the maid room” under the roof. Which would have been fine but not for that price. The parking is on the street, 5 euros will get you 1.5 hours.

Clifden House staff are excellent. The hotel itself is older & quaint but could use some new windows as they were drafty and cold for September (curtains helped to block the draft). The hotel is in a safe neighborhood, clean, comfortable and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and sites. With that said, we'd probably stay there again.

Snug and good. I had a single and it was tiny- which I knew going in. Tiny as in I could reach both walls at the same time. That said, the ensuite was cozy and well equipped. The bed (single) was incredibly comfortable. The location is a little out of the city center so quieter but with nice little shops and cafes nearby. This is not the kind of room or hotel that you linger in the room, but for a landing place for a couple of nights its great.

Handy spot for croke park.
Paid premium rate as we attended a concert locally. No option for breakfast. Parking on site for €10. Not bad for dublin city. Room was clean, plenty of room for 2 people but bathroom was a little small. Having said that, we wanted somewhere to park securely, sleep and shower the next morning and this place had all that. Maintenence work started at 9am and woke us. But when we mentioned this at reception, they did not charge us for the parking. Croke park was a 10 minute walk, which meant no waiting for taxis or buses. Handy spot for croke park. Would stay again.

When I arrived they said i was checked in already. So i showed them reference number and gave me 4th floor room key . So after dragging bags to top floor i opened room to find people jumping up out of bed in distress. I apologised and had to head all the way back down to ground floor . To get another room . Which was cold . It was a late check in after hours of travelling. So the poor people i woke up must of got a big fright.

This also covered me to get into the main part of Dublin on the light rail - 2 stops from Parnell to Trinity and you’re in town! Only a 15 minute walk if you miss it ;)

Don't fall for the fake positive reviews. This place is a nightmare. It is very very noisy with walls thin like paper. The staff is despicable and refuse to give you another room because the room service is too lazy to clean two rooms. This accommodation is also in Breach of the Covid-19 health and safety regulations.In the whole place including the entrance door are no warning signs to wear a face mask or sanitize your hands. The reception has no protection shield. And all staff and customers who come in and out are wearing no face masks. The room service wears no face masks or even protection gloves.Stay here and you'll get either Covid-19 or a horrible stay.

This place was not at all what I expected. You check in at one place and the room was a block away. The apartment ( as they called it) was up very narrow and steep stairs. Luckily, we didn’t have heavy luggage.

Spacious room, had tea/coffee facilities and the bed was very comfy. A bit outdated and in need of some renovation. However the shower was broken, I couldn’t make the water any colder so it was almost too hot to have a shower. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and there was a plug beside the bed that didn’t work at all. Tv was tiny, old and outdated, but it still worked. I’ve stayed at this hotel before and the room I had previously was better. Also last time I stayed I got a “breakfast pack” in the morning with water, etc. without paying any extra but this time there was nothing. It was pleasant enough and cheap but not sure I’d stay here for longer than one night.
