Great location north of the river and easy to walk anywhere in Dublin. It is close to a thousand pubs, restaurants, and shops. The staff were very helpful and lent us a couple items during our stay. There was always someone on staff to help.

There is a restaurant/pub on the ground floor too, which is great if you're too tired or drunk to walk a few meters to the many others around.

Checked in, no elevator, no assistance with bags.

I'm room, no tissue, soap, shampoo, conditioner in room. Only one pillow per bed. We stayed in six different hotels this was the only hotel with a triple room that gave us only one pillow All the other hotels had two pillows on every bed.

Room was hot, sun was out, Windows were open and we assumed it was because the sun was on that side of the building and it would cool off after sundown.

10pm returned to room after sightseeing discovered as I lay in bed heat was on. Had a broken valve so could not turn it off. Staff said it has been broken for 2 weeks. Not able to move to another room. Temps outside we in the 80s, RECORD SETTING HEAT WAVE, no ac, just heat stuck on and windows. They did give us a fan, which just circulated hot air. Had to physically move bed away from heat source and to other side of room ourselves, no assistance. Found soilled baby clothes under bed.

Second day desk manager \"knew nothing about heat issue\". Did fix it while we were out. We were uncomfortable about having maintenance in our room while we were out. No compensation... No bar drink, no meal ,no room credit. The \"main\" manager was never available to talk to. Left massages

Upon check out again no assistance with luggage and no elevator. My adult daughter fell while carrying her luggage down the stairs. We had to take her to ER when we got home. Ankle is injured.

Out of 6 hotels we stayed in during our visit to Ireland, this was the worst!

The Hotel was centrally located. The staff was wonderful so helpful and courteous. The breakfast was unbelievable definitely need a big appetite. The family room was clean, large enough for four adults to not be stepping on each other. Recommend highly.

Brilliant location right in the heart of Dublin City Centre. Rooms were very clean everything you needed for a brilliant stay, breakfast was amazing quite a good selection, all freshly made.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Had a drink in the bar with some live music, very good.
Would definitely stay here again.

Location was excellent. Could not ask for a better location. Breakfast was very good. Room was just a little lacking. No air conditioning. It was not a great problem but would have been easier to regulate the condition of the air... Top floor so when the weather is good it can get a little warm. The control of the lights was kind of weird. There was not an on off switch in the bathroom. That light was controlled at the entry door. We did a work around but not real good. Lighting in the bathroom was not real good. Over all it was fine.

This place is a total hell hole and the staff is horrible. Never stay here. They screw the windows shut and have no AC. When we asked for fans they brought air purifiers that did not even blow enough to move the curtains when they were right next to them. When we asked for help from the staff we were pretty much told to f off. Then when we pushed they promised a credit. We went to the front desk the next morning and this little jerk named Ben told us they weren’t used to dealing with the heat so we could just go. They charged us the full amount despite promises to our credit card company of a refund. Mold everywhere. Broken toilet seat and windows that wont open. Add to that the guy that the 16 Garda were cuffing when we walked outside the next morning and the methed out lady yelling in the alley and this is the Dublin equivalent of Trainspotting's worst loo in Scotland.

Some of ours friends warned us about the Arlington's location as being in a somewhat sketchy or rowdy neighborhood. We walking around we were never hassled or felt threatened. Nor we were awaken any nights by rowdy patrons or street noises.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bedding was very comfortable and the morning breakfast buffet well stocked.

We also took advantage of its central location and availability to the trams to visit sites throughout Dublin easily.

Dublin's an expensive city, yet we found the value staying at the Arlington was well worth it.

I enjoyed my stay at the Arlington. It is in the perfect location to walk to the Temple Bar area but was quiet at night. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning (although there is a portable fan in the room) and the shower is TINY.
I would definitely stay again!

The location was great. There’s a donut shop just a few units down called the rolling donut it is fantastic. Highly recommended. The staff is great. The beds are nothing to write home about but the bathtub is insane. Rather enjoyed my stay. The Dublin express is just a few minutes outside the hotel super convenient.

This hotel was a bit outdated, which, to an extent, I understand is part of the appeal. However, in our bathroom specifically, several of the floor and shower tiles were cracked and had not been repaired. Also, our shower head appeared to partially be held on with tape and there was virtually no water pressure. The bedroom was nice and the location was convenient, but I likely would not stay here again due solely to the poor upkeep of the bathroom.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, the airport bus stops across the road from the hotel. It's central so easy to get to all the shops and tourist attractions. All the staff were brilliant but a special mention to Ryan on reception who answered our questions with a smile and sense of humour. Also a special mention to Carmel at breakfast, a lovely, helpful and friendly lady. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Loved the old world charm of this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and the location hard to beat - within walking distance of major sights like Trinity College. The only problem was that it has no elevator; however the friendly staff offered to carry my luggage up to my room without me even having to ask.

Couldn't ask for a better location and place to stay in Dublin than The Arlington! Exceeded expectations. Central location easy to get to from airport or train via bus service. Helpful friendly front desk staff (helped with bags on arrival, gave directions when needed, even went out of their way to help us get a load of laundry done), spacious room, amazing food to be found in every direction. LOVED the location. Was a quick walk to everything we wanted to see. Would rate 5 stars, but there were some quirks. The water in the shower only got warm and not very hot. Our counter in the sink, which was made of marble, had many dents and cracks that looked like it needed to be replaced. The staff was very friendly!!! Would overall recommend.

Overall, the property was well maintained. Our room has some worn carpet patches in which you could see all the way through.

Very centrally located. Easily got around Dublin on foot with the hotel as a base. Good food all around. Recommend DeFontaines pizza and cloud 9 for ice cream.

This was a disappointing hotel compared to the others we booked during our trip. First, the positive, the location is great as well as the staff. What disappointed us is that there are no elevators, the carpets and rooms are in a pretty sad state and the beds were really uncomfortable and rolling so they were moving when we were on them (no stops on the wheels). Plus, the bathroom was patched in so many places (floor, wall, around shower, etc) that It looked really bad and dirty. All in all, we enjoyed the location and the friendliness of the staff, but if I had to stay a second night I would have canceled and book somewhere else. It really needs some love!

We had the misfortune to book this hotel for two different stays in one week. The rooms were dark and in horrible repair. There was a 30cm hole worn in the carpet in our room, the bathroom from was mismatched and had loose tiles, there was one overhead light in the whole room, which was cool white. No bedside lamps. The shower was weak and leaking all over the wall. The hotel is in a busy, noisy area. We had people screaming outside the rooms until 2-3am every day. Not a place we will stay again, especially at the ridiculous price we paid.

The front desk staff was really nice about checking our bags in early and leaving them for the day. The rooms are old so there is no air conditioning. There are also no screens in the windows when you open them. Our room was pretty quiet as far as nosiness from the hall. The area is perfect.

Dated, run down a bit, walls thinner than paper, you will enjoy the neighbour's conversations as though they are standing beside you, privacy is non existent. The \"king\" bed will just be 2 beds pushed together, (don't pay extra for that!) no mattress pad or anything so there is a nice lump line down the middle, pretty uncomfortable. The softness of the mattress is comparable to plywood, the pillows as fluffy as a brick of cheese. The price we paid was more than the Hilton down the road, the non refundable rule is brilliant on thier part, they know once you arrive and realize its too late. Feels like a tourist trap, staff seem pretty friendly though. The area is close to everything, unfortunately in a rougher part of town but there is a convenience to it. If the price was cheap id have no complaints, charging $300/night is insane

Nice older property. You can tell it’s aging, but the staff does take care of the place. It has charm. Very conveniently located. Lots of things around for sightseeing, shopping, dining, whatever. The only rather bad part was the noise. Not the hotel’s fault at all, just a fact that ambient city noise is everywhere. Rooms were a bit warm due to rather warm, sunny weather, so that caused windows to be open which didn’t help the noise. Like I say, not the hotel’s fault. Overall, I recommend it, would definitely stay again.

Location was perfect as far as being near all the Dublin activities. The Hop on Bus right outside, bridges over the Liffey to get to everything is right there. The bar was adorable and it was great to have good food and enjoyable area to eat and relax.
I would say the family room was perfect for my family possibly not so good for people with young kids as windows open right to street below and the noise didn't bother us as we enjoyed alot of pints with our adult children and went right to sleep once back in room but, little ones might have trouble sleeping with street noise and the windows could pose a hazard. A little outdated but it added to the charm for me.

This was probably one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. The bathrooms can't have been touched for decades with stained cracked tiles and grout, dirty shower curtains (if I knew there were shower curtains I would never have booked) and the toilet seat was so old it had yellowed. Outside of my window there was a shed on a filthy roof with a constant banging door. Due to the awfulness of the bathroom the staff kindly did offer me another room which I was incredibly grateful for however the options weren't much better. A slightly cleaner shower curtain and a less yellow toilet seat was an improvement. However, then it came to people upstairs. Oh my goodness. You can hear EVERYTHING. I could hear them going to the toilet and which activity they were doing, heavy footsteps and creaking until 1.30am kept me awake and sounded like they were going to come through the floor and land on my head. This started again at 3am and again at 5am then constantly at 7am. Needless to say I had no sleep.
Honestly staying here was the worst decision I ever made and never have I seen more disgusting old bathrooms. It made me very uncomfortable. Some of the staff were very helpful as I did come down to see if I could move rooms at 1.15am as I was keen to get some sleep. I couldn't, but he was nice enough!
If you are thinking of booking, absolutely do not would be my advice. Awful. The carpets also must be decades old and possibly never cleaned. Bed comfy! Otherwise an awful stay.

Room cleaning staff very attentive & professional. Kept room cleaned and stocked for morning tea or coffee. We are a senior non tech savvy couple, instructions for TV use would be helpful.
Restaurant and bar good selections and the food was excellent.
Celtic Nights was in basement, very convenient. The dinner and show were best experience in Dublin and a great value. The Band and Dancers were fantastic!

We had an excellent stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, went out of their way to assist you. The hotel is a great place to walk from, to many places of interest. Breakfast was brilliant, a great start to the day. Only negative was the bedroom was 'tired', no pun intended, and needs a refurb' and spruce up. There were tea/coffee making facilities but for some reason was limited to 3 tea bags, etc, which poses a slight issue if there are 2 of you. Otherwise a great place to stay.

The staff was very nice. I asked for ice for my room, and the front desk directed me to the bar, and the bar had no ice. Additionally, there was a huge party my final night in the hotel, which went on until 3 am. It was VERY loud in my hotel room, and made sleeping really difficult. Soundproofing would not be remiss. Bar servers were not really well versed, and none could tell me if the drink menu they publish online was available, and then said it wasn't. Otherwise, the staff was lovely, and the room was clean and nice - and the location was good.

Quick check in, bar/restaurant was busy with live music. Didn't hear the noise from the room which was good. Room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. Location was great.
The only negative was the bed was very small, a queen rather than a double/king. For 1 night it was ok, but not sure it would be comfortable for much longer , especially as one side was up against the wall and awkward to get in and out of in the middle of the night. Would recommend otherwise.

I did not like the fact that the eggs, ETC were pre-made, but overall everything was nice. The area, well it's a city. I did not feel unsafe though. This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of about everything that you would want to see in the city center.

The Celtic Nights show was very good and one of the highlights of our stay in Dublin. Our first night of having dinner there was not very good as the waiter we had was under par. Our determination was that he may have been new as we only had excellent service from other servers. Would recommend location for anyone going to Dublin. This is the second time my family as stayed at this location.

The only fault I have with it was there were no USB ports in the room (and now a days you need at least a couple) and not many plugs.

Hotel is located right across from Temple Bar area! Located near many pubs and restaurants. The hotel also has a pub within it so at night music is blasting. If you're looking for some place quiet this isn't the hotel for you. It wasn't a problem for us because we were usually out of the hotel at night. Staff was very helpful in regards to the protesting happening near by. We had to walk 15 minutes from the hotel with our luggage in order to get a taxi due to the protestors closing the streets. Only thing we didn't like was our rooms window faced what seemed to be an office work space for the hotel so we couldn't keep our blinds open.

This is a very busy area. It’s very loud outside. We have three windows in our room and everyone had a hard time sleeping. Lots of dump trucks going by in the middle of the night. Walls are very thin could hear someone snoring either above or below or next us. Also picked a great time to go when Ireland was protesting rising fuel cost, and this hotel is in the corridor of all the shutdowns of street closures. Was not a good experience.
