Hotel is in a great Central Location, rooms are smallish, but we were only there for the one night, bed was a queen, and room was very warm, A/C didn't make much of a difference.

At check in they ask for ID, which caught us out, as we never carry ID for domestic stays, and they would not accept any form of Visa/ Mastercard to prove our identity.

There was nothing in Expedia booking info about ID being required, thankfully I remembered I had scanned my passport last year to Onedrive when travelling to the US, in case of emergency, so was able to log in to my account and they finally accepted that and we got checked in.

They also held €50 security on your card, so just be aware of this if you tend to use a currency card, as sometimes a hold can freeze the currency card completely.

The Bar is modern but closes early for a hotel at 12.30am, and when you finally check in you receive two drinks token, which cn be used on signature cocktails, coffee's etc.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overall, despite the initial issue with checking in, we had a good stay.

Nice trendy hotel pretty close to the major tourist sights. Room was very comfortable and on the smaller side but very good use of the space. Bedding was wonderful after a long day walking the town.
Super friendly staff and an upbeat vibe in the bar. Liked the free welcome drink.
Neighborhood had shops and bars/restaurants close by.
I have stayed in other Moxy's in the USA and do recommend them.

Lovely hotel and concept

I have never stayed in a Moxy before and i loved it. Its a fresh modern funky style of hotel ideal for a short stay. its style and concept is great fir a business traveller and although it might not be everyone's taste, this is a budget hotel at the end of the day. The food was ok and not bad priced but there are lots of options around the area but stick to the main streets

Staff was great. No iron in rooms, they have an ironing room on each floor and the iron leaked. Asked another family member on another floor and it was the same with them. Came back to room after spending the day out and the same stained sheets were used. Asked for another blanket and was told their policy was not to give out blankets but I could have a sheet. I would not go back in a hurry.

Our room was a Handicap Accessible room which we tried to change but was told there were not any other options available. The room smelled of mildew, the toilet didn’t flush properly and the water from the accessible shower seeped through the wall and saturated the carpet near the bed. The wood at the corner was rotting. The room itself was underwhelming, no closet, no counter top to set things on and no night stands. There was a 8 x 8 inch long shelf by each side of the bed to charge phone. This was a version of how cheap they can get away with a room and still charge a healthy price for it. Room check in was at the bar. Not what you expect from a Marriott property.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and was quite disappointed with the experience. For the price I paid, I expected more comfort and basic amenities. The room was quite dark, with very limited lighting, making it feel even more cramped. There was no place to hang clothes, and no iron provided, which added to the inconvenience. The bathroom was very small, almost like a cubicle, and uncomfortable to use. For a hotel at this price point, these are basic necessities that should have been provided. Overall, it didn’t feel like good value for money, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Booked this for a concert due to location and cost. First impressions are good, the staff are very helpfull and pleasant. We was early for check in due to flight times, the bags were locked away and we got a call later to say the room was ready. Excellent I thought.
We got to the room, furst umpressions lovely, spacious and clean. Then you notice there is no wardrobe just a bit of steel mesh and no drawers to put anything in. No safe,
No iron in room but there is an ironing station we what i can only call a savage iron.
Overall an OK hotel, very modern but any more than 2 nights would be a struggle. For me anyway.

Great location, room was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was compact!
All the service staff were young and whilst they were attempting to understand and provide good service somewhat missed the mark due to misunderstanding.
If dining at the bar be aware the food is basically microwaved/reheated in front of you and not always as described on the menu.
I thought given the price of this hotel I would have expected better room/service.

Loved the sitting area in the lobby and the fun games for kids. The property is very walkable to the area around the Spire which made it very convenient for us. The rooms were super clean just wish there was a chair in the room to sit and a closet or dresser to keep the clothes in. Also, the bathroom was a bit small.

Very expensive for an average stay

Don't get mw wrong I am a big fan of average, Prem Inns are a go to for overnight stays. I was here for the Northampton Saints Semi final. Staff were all lovely and the breakfast good value. BUT the room cost me 50 Euro more than a similar room in the Prem Inn Wembley a fortnight previously when I was there for the FA cup semi final.

St Pattys Day Perfection

It was the perfect location for St Pattys Day. It was one block over from O Connell st so the parade was easily accessible and the hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Temple Bar. Perfect distance to get the craziness and then back to a peaceful area. Hotel is also surrounded by lots of shopping and great restaurants!

Clean rooms with contemporary decor, and lots of communal space to hang out and have a drink or a coffee after a long days shopping or sightseeing. Walkable to the main shopping areas and some tourist attractions, so a good location.
This would not put me off returning, but the design of the en suite shower room is poor. A sliding door would be better and less of a palaver to navigate. Breakfast wan'st brilliant, but there are loads of brunch spots in Dublin so not a deal breaker. Efficient and friendly staff.

Moxy- an overpriced underwhelming hotel

Disappointed to be honest. I was expecting a much higher quality of hotel for the extortionate price charged. I was also charged more than the agreed price quoted and over a £100 more than the booking price and another £50 taken as a deposit. The guarantee money was taken from my account the day before arriving as they were overbooked apparently. The breakfast is of the standard of a travel lodge I had not realised would not be a cooked breakfast so was disappointed not to have an Irish breakfast.
There is no wardrobe just a hanging rack and tiny rooms but at least the bed was comfortable and the shower was good
Was also upset not to be served food as we got back after the rugby to our hotel and told that the restaurant closed at 9:45 when we arrived dead on 10. A city centre hote with no room service options or late night food was a shock to me. Plus a telephone that invites you to dial 0 for reception but has no zero and does not work.
That said it’s well located in the city so np doubt they have made this hotel for people that don’t mind a low level of service or basic hotel amenities.

Bathroom was very small. Bedroom had no where to place luggage except 1 luggage rack. Only 2 pillows on the bed instead of a standard 4 and duvet felt sub par.
We were woken up at 7am from neighbouring construction and drilling.
Breakfast was also sub par and felt like food items were recycled from the day before and slightly stale.
Overall it felt like it was trying to be too trendy and didn’t hit the mark.

Everything inside the hotel was great, but there was a lot of outside noise that made it inside the room. The hotel itself is situated on an alley, which makes it all the worse, I'd understand if it was located on a busy street. With the area it isin, I understand they have to trash late at night, and construction always starts early, but I've stayed at many hotels in same general area that I never experienced this. May be out of the hotels control, but it affected my sleep 4/5 nights.

Excellent service and staff

Stayed in Dublin for 1 night. Due to flight time we arrived at 9am and to our surprise the hotel let us check in straight away due to a less than busy day before! As you can imagine after a very early flight we were so great full and we’re not expecting this!
Great staff and a very modern lobby. Would definately recommend.

We loved Moxy however this stay (despite asking for a quiet room) we go a room with excess disturbance from 5am beer kegs, rubbish skips, builders banging ….NOT A GOOD STAY!

Great location for shopping!

Great spot if you want to go shopping, and just a short walk to The Temple Bar area. Rooms are basic, but enough for a short stay. The bar/reception area is fun and lively and great decor!

Nice hotel, great location

New enough hotel, located just off o'Connell street. Modern, clean, good size bedroom, comfortable bed and sound proofed ( very important considering the hotel is beside the luas metro line). Great staff service. Downside is price- very expensive for what you get but this applies to majority of Dublin hotels.

The Moxy was cool. It is a short walk from Connolly station and O'Connell Street, so coming from the North made this a perfect location. From the second we walked in we felt we were on a night out as opposed to checking in a hotel. The reception and bar were basically all in one, and very welcoming. A free cocktail on arrival is a great touch too. The staff were all great, very pleasant and helpful. The bar and social area was really cool, great artistic and colourful design styles, and many cool touches like a Football table for a bit of craic while having a beer. The rooms were perfect for a one or two night stay. No wardrobes, no bed side tables, etc, but I get that in reducing costs here (i.e. in fully furnishing every room) it allows for the all the other great aspects of the hotel. We loved our stay at the Moxy and we will definitely be back.

Would suggest finding another option, super noisy part of town with tram line directly under the window that dings every 1-2 minutes. Reception never answered the phones and receptionists double as bartenders so not very attentive, no food options other than breakfast, very slow elevators. Spend your money elsewhere.

It was nice property. It was clean and comfortable. The adds for the hotel are interesting (sexual in nature). The room was new and trendy; the specific room assigned to me did not have a lot of furniture so it was difficult to find places to put my stuff (i.e. limited hooks/ no table). There was only a few hangers to hang things as well. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were firm. The location of the property was great for tours, shopping and getting around the city.

Quirky in a great way with great staff.

We were in two rooms. In the first one, the air conditioning would not go below 26c. It was way too warm for us. It was a computer setting. The second room was fine the first night but then it locked us out of adjustment as well. Would not go below 22c which was ok but we like our room cold.

The staff was superb. We spent was more time in the lobby than we would have because we enjoyed them so much. The became a big part of our stay.
