Our room was a good size, very clean. We booked a twin en suite and had towels and sheets included as well as in the bathroom there were cleaning supplies and extras like that. The place felt very cleaned and I liked how secure each door was, so I felt safe. The location was perfect for spending time around temple bar and I would stay here again.

Amazing location, right at the heart of Dublin. Be prepared to accommodate your roommates at the hostel location (e.g. earplugs). Having a common area kitchen is amazing and the staff are very good with keeping the place regularly clean. BRING YOUR OWN BATH TOWEL (or prepare to pay). I suggest women travelers choose ensuite bathroom 6 or 8 women only for best privacy and safety.

As a first time hostel visitor, this was a great first experience. Everything was ao aimple, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, bathroom facilities were clean, and the shower had great pressure. Just minutes away from the Temple Bar area. I had a hired car, and a q-park lot was just one block away, which was great when I needed to get something I didn’t want to bring inside. Highly recommended!

The check in process was seamless, the rooms were very clean and they have a big chalkboard with activities you can sign up for. There was also no curfew which was a relief, especially for staying out late for St. Paddy’s weekend. Our bathroom looked recently updated as well, and the shower pressure was amazing! Great location right next to temple bar and public transit. I would definitely stay here again!

Abigails is located on Aston Quay near the O'Connell Bridge. The location is excellent for walking in central Dublin... along the river, all the shops and pubs in Temple Bar, Trinity College, Christchurch Cathedral, St. Stephens Green, EPIC, etc., and it's also just steps away from the Dublin Airport Express bus stop on Aston Quay. Our accommodation (private room & with bath) was simple, clean and very efficient. Highly recommended!

Convenient place for short staying

The hostel is located at the center of the city. Close to everything. Bus stop is just in front of the front-door, and there is a supermarket next to the hostel. The only disadvantage for me is the noise. The bathroom is in the room, so when people using the toilet or taking the shower, it’s quite loud. Overall, it’s good place and price for shot staying.

I'd like a refund for my stay at Abigail's. Around 2am a drunk man came stumbling in, dropping his things and humming/ chanting something. It scared the hell out of me. He started hovering over my bed staring and chanting at me. I kept his light on and continued talking and chanting to himself. I asked him to stop several times. I spoke to Joaquin at reception for a refund and he gave me your contact information. There are also women screams through out the night. I have some of this on recording and I'm sure the other 2 men in my room can attest to all this. I would just appreciate a refund and I won't leave negative reviews but know this has been the worst hostel/ hotel experience I've ever had. The man has also started peeing in his bed.

Everything was as expected for a hostel. There is a bus station right outside the building. You can take a Dublin Express to/from the airport, it makes it very convenient. I hope they make the front gate key card controlled.

I liked my room toilete and shower where in separate sides which was good of course the location is the best.

The staff are so kind and helpful, I originally booked for a night only, but because my other plan was cancelled, I need to extend my stay for two more nights in Dublin. The guy in the reception helped me.

I enjoy my stay at Abigails hostel, would recommend it to my friends and family. It is clean and well maintained. Simple yet beautiful. Safe environment and able to meet new friends as well. Ps. Wifi connection is fast too. It is indeed worth it.

Abigail’s Hostel was much nicer than we expected. Our room was clean, the linens were very comfortable, and the location was very convenient to everything. We would definitely stay again on our next visit. This hostel is for older people, younger people, everybody! Not just backpackers. We had a room for two with en suite. Great!

Staff are awesome. Nice, clean and comfortable beds. There was a pool of water along the corridor every morning and I only saw one instance where there was a wet floor sign with it. Shower taps were faulty in our room.

It is very safe & clean.
There’s a full kitchen, Internet, board games, maps and lots of helpful friendly people.
The people were very helpful & respectful.
The guests were a mix of people traveling through, including 2 groups of students who were quiet & a pleasure to be around.
My roommates were very quiet.
Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, yogurt, dry cereals, & various juices, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.

I was waiting there 5 hour to do my check in at 14:00 and finally when I was able to do the check it and go into the dorm I decided to have a nice shower and just go straight ahead to bed because I was super tired, but once I got into shower I found out that the shower slowly getting flooded. that was just ridiculous, I just packed my stuff again and went down stairs showed the reception that I can't even have a shower, then they said they are so sorry and they didn't knew that, Oh Yeah ? Well they how come there were 3 guest in same room as mine and they still didn't knew that ? That's just ridiculously funny, So I asked them for full refund took my stuff and run away as far as I can from this horrible place and hopefully never come back !!!!!

I will not recommend that place to no one !
I'll suggest paying little more and find better cleaner place to stay.

I stayed in room 19, a six female room on the first floor. I travel with a carry-on so the stairs worked well for me. The room was a decent size with locker storage under each bunk bed.

Staff were super helpful at check-in, and provided good tips on tours and other activities.

The only downside was the fact that the hostel is a popular choice for school groups and they literally took over the kitchen to cater to their group elbowing other guests away who were finishing up their meal preparation. Having twenty-five 14-year-olds descend on the common area and yell across the room at one another really kills the ambiance of a hostel. Of course this isn’t the fault of hostel staff..... it’s the teachers responsibility to train their students to respect other guests ,... it’s something to keep in mind.

OMG Unbelievably great hostel; only a few cons

This hostel is absolutely AMAZING for the value of the price!!! Dear lord, the list of benefits are long: you're literally right in the Temple District near the iconic bar and cute-single-park-bike-and-locals-having-a-pint area, and also literally RIGHT next to the ha'penny bridge. The location couldn't be more perfect for a tourist visiting. The staff is friendly, breakfast is included, bathrooms are in the rooms (12 bed stay was still comfortable; big room with lots of space), excellent internet... only two cons. The showers have no place to put things; toiletries, clothes you are taking off or going to change into, so things get dirty and wet... and the hostel does not have a self-service laundry mat of its own; which in my opinion as a seasoned traveler is imperative for a hostel to have one. Other than that, would ABSOLUTELY stay again. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

This is a hostel, not a 5 star hotel. With that in mind, it is a FABULOUS, five star hostel. I felt safe. The room and bathroom was clean. The bed is comfortable (besides hitting my head on the upper bunk about 10 times before I learned to duck.) It's like being back in college dormitory life. The front desk is usually very upbeat and friendly, happy to help with booking a tour or answering questions. (There were 1 or 2 cranky butts, but I asked and got what I needed anyways.) The lockers are great for storing stuff safely, and you cannot beat the location.

Terrible experience. The 5 guys in my room thought they had the room for themselves as they paid for 6 beds. They were disappointed to see me there and I was disappointed to be caught in the middle of a private party because I wanted to sleep before a long flight. The front desk was unresponsive when we asked for a room change and I ended up not sleeping much with the guys being loud and disgusting. Very disappointed with this mismanagement from the hostel.

Abigails is in a very convenient location. There are shops, convenience stores and restaurants around and it is literally next block to Temple Bar. Trinity College is also very close. Most of the tourist spots are all within walking distance and pick up locations for bus tours are also close. I stayed in a 3-bed all girls room and I find it clean. This hostel is very well maintained. The staff was great especially Leo who was patient enough to answer all my questions. I would definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work Abigails!

Nice staff and great location. Can be reached by bus and a few mins walk. Located at city centre and easy to reach any parts in Ireland. Bars and restaurants are just nearby and you can enjoy the feast anytime you like. There is 24-hour public area and complimentary chocolate/tea/coffee is provided. You can choose any bed you like in the room. The only thing that I hope they could improve is the water supply and cleanliness of bathroom. However, it's still acceptable for me.

Good location. Staff was nice. Some were more knowledgeable and truly helpful then others. Offering the luggage storeage room, other pointed out the lockers. The rooms were not clean. And the bathroom could have been cleaner. Would be a help to label the light switches.
I will look for a different hostel next time. Abigail’s was ok. A solid ok.

It was gud overall. My only issue was room33 (next door) seem to have a party. That’s their own business but, the noise was blaring up to about 4:45am and as (apparently) one of my roommates went down to reception to report it, the noise never really turned down. Dunno what was done or what happened to reporting it. Didn’t got a sleep until around 5am because of it.

In the heart of Dublin

I visited from the states for my birthday, the best part about this hostel is the location. It's proximity to the heart of Dublin was unmatched. I chose a room with 6 beds and that was fine. We had adequate spacing. I wished the bathroom area had counter/storage space because it was quite interesting getting dressed with nowhere to lay a towel and clothing when you share a room with so many people. The breakfast was ok simple continental selection. Staff was pretty friendly and helpful. Would stay with them again :)

Overall a great deal for the purpose of my visit!
Pros: LOCATION. Temple Bar is right outside! Loved it! Also close to airport shuttle stops and major city bus stops. Practically beside a grocery store, souvenir shop, etc.
Also staff were all very friendly and very helpful whether I was looking for day tours or just bus stops. They were all very knowledgeable and approachable.
Breakfast was also a nice perk! 2 pieces of toast with jam and a glass of orange juice saved me like €5 on breakfast elsewhere and it was so convenient.
Overall the price and location were ideal for my short sightseeing trip. Also the en suite was appreciated!
Cons: Being a hostel it was not spotless. It was fairly clean compared to other hostels I've stayed in but there was mold on the ceiling in my room. Never ideal.
Otherwise though great for my 2 night stay in Dublin! Compared to other hostels in the same price range this was by far the best choice!

I booked by mistake one day after and when I came to check in, front desk told me that they would cancel my booking. I believe I am not being charged but it is still not showing on my account. Front Desk told me the hotel was full and my booking was for the next day so they just cancelled it there. I am still waiting for my refund.

Central location - reasonably priced.

I needed an inexpensive place to stay for the U2 gig. This was ideal. The staff were fab. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The rooms were fine, clean, basic.
There are roll cages under the beds to leave stuff - ideally take a padlock to keep it secure.
There is also a room to store luggage.
Bathroom was basic but ok.
Towel available for 1 euro.
For a hostel it's great!

Also has free wi-if.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, so I can't compare, but I thought it was a great hostel. The room seemed standard with 3 sets of bunk beds. The lights and plugs worked fine. Our room's bathroom had a bathtub that didn't drain properly, but they came and fixed it which is great. The breakfast was ok, and can get very busy. The one warning I will give is bring earplugs or headphones or something to help you sleep. The hostel is next to the Temple Bar area, and I've heard and seen all sorts of shady goings (drugs, vomiting, public urination, people making whoopie) happening in the little street just outside my window, even in the middle of the afternoon. I would definitely stay here again, the location is amazing!

I stayed in multiple rooms - the shower was really bad in the six bed-female dorm. The top bunk is too low, so I bumped my head several times on it. The lounge *always* has music playing, sometimes really loudly. So, while it's comfortable to hang out and even work in, that made it a little hard. Because I had to change rooms, that meant checking out and checking back in and staying in the lounge for 3 and a half hours to have access to my new room. Other than that, it was clean enough, comfortable enough (bad pillows, though), and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's located in the best area possible and the bus from the airport drops you off nearly at its doorstep.

Great location, not so great to stay.

Very small personal area, outlets at bed head did not work, very small rooms for the amount of people staying in them. It would be okay if traveling with friends/companions but traveling alone not the best choice.

I made a right choice to stay at this place

Superb location.
Good breakfast: apart from tea and coffee, there's chocolate; apart from toast, there are cereal, milk, yoghurt and boiled egg.
You can use the luggage store room for free.
The bed is so comfy, unexpectedly comfy that I wish I could have stayed longer.
Bed sheets are clean n smell nice.
Every bed has 2 sockets, 2 usb ports and a reading light. Very handy
