Wonderful staff. After a very unpleasant stay at Keavans Port for the week, I had to leave in a tizzy because Keavans port Duty Manager is actually cartoonishly evil. After my one night at Clink, I wish I would’ve just stayed there from the very beginning. Andrew and another young man (I forgot his name, but he was on duty the morning I left, fri jan 2nd. I think he had a French accent, pinkish colored mullet-esc haircut) were so helpful and welcoming and accommodating. The young man in the morning gave me good directions to my next stop. The rooms were clean, the beds/bedding were comfortable. Also enjoyed the breakfast spread. Overall good vibe! Most definitely will be my Dublin spot from now on!

We did book a private room for 2 people which comes with certain amenities such as towels and bathroom toiletries according to the website, but upon arrival we had a different room with nothing provided. In order to check in, you need to first push past all the smokers blocking the doorway. Check in is all self serve. They don’t have any dark curtains so the lights from the city make the room bright enough to read in at night. There is a pull down “curtain” but it doesn’t block any of the light. On my second night I was in the shower at about 2000 when someone started pounding on the door. I asked who it was and they said “security” and I let them know I was in the shower. They were gone by the time I came out. At 2300 I was awaken by someone else pounding on the door for several minutes. I had an early flight to catch so I didn’t answer. I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason alone.

1) There is no common kitchen, and you're not allowed to bring food from outside and eat it in the common areas, but the food options on site are very limited. This is unfortunate since there are many great takeout restaurants nearby, and part of the beauty of traveling is experiencing the local food culture. It's strange that as a hostel, their policies don't embrace or facilitate this.
2) The showers are in the basement, with no windows, no mirrors, and no plug outlets for hair dryers or styling tools! This is very inconvenient for women, unless you have a room with a private bathroom/shower.

Shower in room had mold and just smelt musty. Out of 4 shared showers (all with the same previously mentioned issue) on basement level only one was in operation. Was accused of being homeless by Nana after showing my key card multiple times a day and still could not sit in the common area without being questioned. Would recommend spending extra money to stay somewhere else, not a friendly place for solo travelers. Staff outside of mentioned employee was very kind. Not the worse but have stayed at cheaper places with a much better experience before.

Super great spot for travellers of all ages (and all ages there). Clean and comfortable rooms with your own USB port and reading light and curtain for some privacy. Stayed in a four bed female dorm. We had our own bathroom in the room. The location was phenomenal in the city and there is food and drinks downstairs. Only downside no kitchen to put things in a fridge as no outside food or drinks is allowed. The night I was there there was live music he was so good! I am staying again at the end of my trip. Will definitely stay here always and great value for money. Bring a lock you can lock your things in a cupboard in the room if you have a small lock with you

So first of all I understand not having TVs in the dorm style rooms, but really...not in the private rooms? Some of us like to unwind and watch some TV or fall asleep with the sleep timer on. NO TVs in the private rooms but the bed and bathroom was really nice. But you cant bring water or snacks to the room or they will chrge you 50 euro...which i find very odd and very much a headache. Good location and good prices.

My first time ever using a hostel and I would definitely do it again. From young little kids to the old, everyone was welcome. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Best part a grocery store was half a block away.

Perfect location and a clean, comfortable place to lay your head at the end of the day. The self-check-in was a touch confusing, but there was someone on hand to assist. The rooms are basic, but clean and the shower was great. The bar downstairs was welcoming and fun. Some of the “house rules” are a bit weird (no alcohol in your room, even a private room?), but it’s mostly the kind of place you just use to sleep. Very decent overall.
