Location was great, just 10 mins or so walk from the Colloseum.

We stayed in Deluxe rooms which were good value, clean and a good size. Bathroom was modern and spotless. It is quite a noisy street with limited soundproofing in the room, so recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

The rooftop bar/ restaurant was lovelyC breakfast was varied an d tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the reception team.

Was fantastic to have the pool as we had children with us, but it’s a lot smaller than it appears online and must be booked in advance. This was no issue for us but might not be ideal for everyone.

Overall would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at the hotel, it was in a perfect location for sightseeing Rome on foot. We had two adjoining rooms, which were clean and comfortable. We booked the hotel due to the pool, you have to book it, but we always got a slot we wanted. My kids really enjoyed cooling off and having fun in the pool. The staff were helpful at answering questions and providing recommendations of local restaurants.

Located near Termini and Sta Maria Maggiore, this hotel is perfectly located for getting around. The room was fine, and everything worked as it should. Staff was friendly and helpful. But best of all after a day of tourist activity was the underground swimming pool. Wonderful.

We stayed at Hotel 77 for two nights following a cruise, so we wanted something pretty central to trip round and do some Rome sights. Hotel is well located, staff friendly and helpful. We had a Junior room in the main hotel building. Room was clean and nice bathroom. Bed was ok, firm. Towels were changed for day 2. Altogether a decent hotel for the money. Would look at a different hotel next time, only because there are so many to choose from in Rome. Recommend a visit to Restaurant Strega which is a two minute walk from the hotel.

Breakfast had a good selection and nice staff although dont expect it to be all ready for 7.30am it was more like 8am each morning for it all to be available.
Dissapointed we did not get to try the spa - which was very much why we booked here. We were told on arrival how to book in but for the whole 4 days we were there it was not available due to annual cleaning. Surely this was pre-planned so we should have been told in advance. Hotel very expensive without the spa.
Location was good for the coloseum.

Dear Management,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay.
The primary reason I booked this property was to use the gym and spa facilities. However, both amenities were closed for the entire duration of my stay. This was not disclosed at the time of booking, and it directly impacted my decision to choose your property.
In addition, the conduct of the lady manager was unprofessional. Her demeanor was consistently unwelcoming and gave the impression that guests were an inconvenience rather than a priority.
This experience falls below reasonable expectations and reflects a lack of transparency and customer service.
Given the circumstances, I am requesting appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and misrepresentation. I am open to resolving this matter directly, but if needed, I am prepared to escalate this through formal review platforms.
Please respond within a reasonable timeframe so we can address this properly.

Loved the amenities. Hottub footprint is three rooms and it’s great. Steam room, and sauna were great. There is a salt cave and a misting room. My kids, wife and I loved all of it. There is a small gym. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly.

Nice staff! The location and breakfast were lovely. The only thing that lets this hotel down are the small but numerous maintenance issues around the room. None of them massively serious on their own but when they add up around the room it’s noticeable - e.g toilet paper holder hanging loosely off the wall, shower-head clip broken (problem for a tall partner).

Great stay overall! The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the spa/pool area was amazing- definitely a highlight with warm water and a

relaxing atmosphere.

Only downsides were the bed and pillows, which were not very comfortable (felt like a pull-out couch and flat pillows). Also, the rooftop bar mentioned is now a restaurant/smoke area, so the description should be updated.

Aside from that, everything was great and I enjoyed my stay!

This hotel is centrally located, the traditional Italian breakfast buffet is really good and filling with lots of options to choose from.
My room was clean and i was able to open my window to allow in fresh air which I appreciated.

Unsafe! At 2am a man entered our room. We woke up and started shouting and he left. When we reported it the hotel reception stated that the police had been called as there was a strange man in the hotel. But they then tried to say it was the police who entered our room! It was our last night but I would not feel safe to stay here again.

According to your recommendation, the hotel is rated as four stars. In reality, when I arrived, the hotel is definitely not four stars—maybe three stars at most. The shower has an unpleasant smell, the room looks dirty, and the gym is very outdated with very old equipment. The spa is also very dirty and not clean at all, with a very unpleasant atmosphere—certainly not what you would expect from a four-star hotel that you recommended.

I am a Gold member of yours, and I am very disappointed with the hotel. Throughout the night you can hear the cars from the road because the window is not properly sealed, and cold air comes in. This is a real disappointment, both with the hotel and with you for recommending it as a four-star hotel
As a Gold member of yours, I expect a refund for the hotel or at least a discount for my next hotel booking. I am very disappointed—this was really not a pleasant experience and it was very disappointing.

Unfortunately we weren't overly pleased with this hotel. There was a bad smell in the bathroom for several days, the drains were clearly blocked. There is very little furniture in the room so you have to live out of your suitcase, there is almost nothing apart from a tiny wardrobe. No proper mirror outside of the bathroom. The windows are paper thin so you hear all the noise from the street.
Breakfast was ok, nothing more.

Best hotel experience traveling abroad that I have ever had. This front desk staff is top notch. I knew I was going to book here when I sent a question to the hotel and within minutes they responded. When we arrived after a long flight the staff was incredible. The gentleman at the desk knew my name before I gave him any information about myself. Everytime we hadca question the staff was so kind and helpful. Traveling to a different country can be stressful, but the staff made us feel welcome and at home. We are going back this September and will definitely be staying there again.

Awful smell from bathroom, presumably the sewerage system. Noticed on first night when we arrived late in the evening- kept bathroom door shut and hoped it would go away. In the morning, we opened the bathroom door and could not believe the smell. So foul and so strong. Went to reception and they said they would change our room. This took around 2 hours. We did eventually get a room change and upon first entering the room we were relieved that the smell did not seem to affect the room- we were wrong, after going out for a few hours and returning to the room we noticed the strong smell again in the bathroom. The bed was also very uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a plank of wood. The reception put a mattress topper on the bed, which slightly helped but overall was still uncomfortable. The spa also had a slight smell, and there is a large pipe across the top of the spa which has all rust across it which ruins the vibe.

It is a shame as otherwise the location, the design of the hotel/rooms and the staff are all great. But I would not return due to the strong smell.

Even though I only stayed one night my experience here was beyond what I expected!
Being my first time in Roma and traveling by myself this accommodation was pure luxury.

All staff was incredible, friendly, accommodating and efficient!

I arrived well before my check in time and was offered free luggage storage, I took them up on it and went out to explore, when I came back to finish my check in I was in the lobby less than 3 minutes and my bags already waiting for me in my room!
That evening the bartender stayed open a little longer to allow me and some other guests to hang out and enjoy a brisk evening and he did so with a smile on his face and a welcoming conversation.
Next morning while on a rush I asked the desk to please call me a cab to the Roma termini and even tho it was a 10 minute walk I couldn’t afford to loose a single minute, the desk called them without hesitation after the suggestion and I swear it took me longer to get out the door than it did for the taxi to arrive.

The bed was comfortable, private and secure room and clean bathrooms, the type of accommodations and standards I have not seen even on Hilton and Omni hotels before!

The location is also extremely convenient with major attractions and tour meeting points within walking distance!

I regret I don’t remember any of the staffs names but I surely appreciate all of them!

Rooftop jacuzzi was closed during our stay but had daily access to the underground pool/jacuzzi’s/sauna etc. Roof top terrace was lovely, great for breakfast and enjoyed one evening meal there also! Would recommend and would stay again.

For the price, this is a good hotel when visiting Rome. It is in an ideal location and not too far walking to the Repubblica station. It can be a bit noisy, as the sound-proofing isn't the best, and the hotel is on a main street with a lot of traffic.

There were a few hiccups, however. Upon arriving, my room door's automatic lock did not seemingly work. I alerted the front desk. It did take about 15 minutes to have someone finally come check the door, reinstall a new battery pack for the lock, only for the staff member to realize the issue was not mechanical; the door required strong force (slamming shut) to engage the automatic lock. Thus, I couldn't effectively settle into my room after flying 12+ hours. I don't blame the hotel for this issue, as it was resolved. But it could have been avoided if they were more familiar with the quirks of that room's door.

In addition, on one day the power went out in the hotel for 10 minutes without warning. I had to ask a maid, who then had to call down to the front desk to relay a message that \"they were conducting brief maintenance.\"

Otherwise, the front desk was generally helpful. I did not use the hotel's facilities, so I can't comment on those. I did have a great experience booking an airport transfer (be sure to read the rules and book 24-hours in advance). Would I stay here again? Perhaps. There are many hotels in this area, some that are mid- to -upscale. I would be curious how they compare to Hotel 77.

Really enjoyed our stay as a family of four. Room was small but that is to be expected in Europe. More than enough room however to be comfortable. Bathroom was nice, clean and had enough space. Location of the hotel was really good. Walked to most of the historic sites and train station to the Vatican was only 5 minute walk and 10 minutes on the train. Staff were really friendly and helpful whenever I had any questions. Really recommend this

I was a bit apprehensive to visit this hotel after reading some reviews, but I had nothing to worry about. Location - great location right in the centre of everything, all attractions can be easily reached, either by open top bus or walking. 5 minute walk to the hop on hop off bus & metro & 10 minutes walk to main train station. Room - we had a corner suite on the 5th floor, friends had the same room on the 4th floor. Room was spacious & immaculately clean. Bathroom is large with a walk in shower, toilet, bidet & sink. Had coffee & tea making facilities, a wardrobe, safe, fridge, 2 bedside units, large to & plenty of places for clothes. Any requests for extra milk toilet roll, issue with room was dealt with immediately. Spa & pool - this is located in the basement & open till 10pm, you booked a time slot at the desk & again this was immaculately clean & we visited on a Saturday evening enjoyed our visit in there, we all used the pool & jacuzzi area & my husband & friend used the gym, sauna. Breakfast - nice selection for a small city centre hotel, cooked breakfast (bacon, sausage egg) pancakes, cereals, cakes, toast, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt. Plenty of selection. Only issue we found with breakfast was that some hot food was not on a hot plate so could be cold & the toaster was extremely slow. Served on the roof terrace which gave a lovely view. There is also a bar up there in the evening that served drinks & food. We visited this once but found it a little expensive compare

Very nice Hotel, spectated from the main hotel where reception is, seemed pretty new, very good price to have 2 rooms with air conditioning, TVs with streaming available, nice bathroom with big shower, lots of towels, mini fridge, coffee maker. Not much storage but a big cupboard, not enough hangers though and no drawers, plus tiny safe just big enough for passports and wallet. Very nice pool and spas set up in the basement like we are in a cave. Super frustrating moment was when an Italian woman was smoking in the pool, blasting music on a speaker, filming herself and talking on the phone super loud and invading us with the stench of her smoke. When we told reception, a man super defensively said they have no way to know what is going on down there, though they have cameras in every corner of the pool and spa area. At our arrival, we didn’t get a super nice welcome, but it got better after a minute I suppose.

Less than expected….

Manage your expectations. Hotel was not what we expected. When we arrived we were taken out of the hotel, across the street to a separate building. The room had no window and there were black pubic hairs on top of the sheets. There was also hair all over the floor.

We stayed 2 nights in the Hotel 77 and it was lovely and cool upon our arrival into reception.
All the staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming and our room was ready 1 hour before check in which was nice.

Breakfast at the hotel was great, wide variety of options, juices and hot drinks, and with it being on the roof top was an added bonus.

Our room was perfect and the bathroom was big for a city center hotel.

Location wise, it was about 30mins to the Colosseum and 1 hour walk to the Vatican. We walked to both to absorb the sights and sounds of Rome.
Its also only an 8 minute walk from Rome Termini which was easy with a backpack or wheeled suitcase.

Overall I recommend Hotel 77 and hope to go back one day. Thank you

It was a great location if you wanted to sights and be a 15-20 minute walk from the big attractions in Central Rome. However, the hotel is not really 4 stars, there is chipped paint in several areas and they just have one elevator , which fits 2 people comfortably and 3 people in a tight squeeze. This is for a place that is 7 floors! I walked a few times to my 4th floor room to avoid the wait. The \"pool\" is more of a wading pool, about 2-3 feet in depth and no more than 5 meters in width. You wont do any real swimming, but it can be nice after a long day sightseeing. There are a couple small jacuzzis that kids might like. For Americans (which I am) the air condiioning was just ok. The room eventually got cold enough for me, but it took time and I would say Americans are used to colder max settings, The walls were also thin, we could hear other people in rooms talking at normal levels, its definitely not soundproofed. The beds were also very firm, Ive travelled a lot and it was the hardest bed Ive slept in. I was able to sleep fine, but it will not be for everyone. The morning buffet was pretty decent overall. We didnt go to dinner there, but it looked like a nice place to have a drink/eat. However, there are plenty of good restaurant choices in the neighborhood as well.

Overall, for my trip , it was fine, but I really wouldnt recommend it to anyone I know. It was clean enough, the staff was professional and courteous, but its just not a real 4 star hotel

The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit small by American standards. The location is great, as many tourist attractions are within walking distance. There are also great restaurants nearby.

The hotel location is great and we were able to walk around safely to many restaurants and to places like the Coliseum. The rooms were clean and functional. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only drawbacks: was disappointed in the pool being out of order while we are there and the hot tub on the rooftop was dirty so we did not go in. The \"spa\" is not what you would expect and are small rooms in the basement so we didn't bother.

Room sockets were broken and falling out. The light was hanging out of the socket as well. Manager wasn’t very helpful. The amenities were not working throughout our whole stay, pool and jacuzzi a big reason why we booked this hotel, so we can utilise in the heat. So waste of money. Stay clear

great location, photos not quite telling the truth

What they call the annex is an apartment building nearby where they own a few rooms, and is not connected to the main building, which is the restaurant, gym, main hotel, etc. The rooms in the annex and beds are small - not as in photos. The rooftop hot tub needs to be reserved in 1 hour slots and is right next to a smoking / drinking area. its not large enough or free enough to use like a pool, and its not cozy enough for a couples hot tub. there's no outdoor space or open air space on the roof top spend time during peak heat days which you need in the summer. overall the photos are highly favorable versus the actual state of the place. great location, easy to walk to everything, nice staff, but if you are there in the summer, the rooms are small and the rooftop is not a place to spend some time out of the sun (theres just no lounging space) and the photos are skewing this issue.
