I lost my airport drivers license id because I’m time blind, and Daiana (hostel worker) doesn’t give any advice on this in her t’s and c’s. It only says that stays are non-refundable which is technically omitting anything about exchangeability.
We had a mixed dorm booked.
I lived north of Dublin for 4 years so next time may just not go here with my partner and visit Belfast only.

While room was clean thrre was no staff available without difficulty. Stairs no elevator.
Not in a great part of town. Under remodeling and materials stacked everywhere. No breakfast and there was supposed to be. Make sure you check your email before you arrive as they send codes to enter the building and to enter your room. Hard to find. No pink door anymire.

We had a room at the floor no.6 ,, had to get up the stairs very narrow, room clean and comfortable bed , but the interior need urgent attention and couldn’t have a shower because it was scorching hot 1 second and Baltic the next second, only street parking if u can get it , access was easy and close .windows broken a lot of street noise different to sleep , very overpriced

The room was very clean but when we arrived we had no idea it was a hostel with a pink door. I had to punch in a code to get into the hostel and then get the key from a lock box on the door. We are all seniors and it was very upsetting. The location also made us nervous. There should have been a picture of the front door on the Expedia app and this may have changed our mind. It was very reasonable in price and the room was very nice inside

Great value for money, nice area and accessible via bus and uber. Didn’t get any breakfast but it’s a convenient offer. TV with plenty of channels was a nice bonus too. Would recommend if you’re on a budget, we booked this to stay the night after a concert and it was perfect

I was stuck in a room full of men who all snored so loud it was impossible to sleep in. Also the bathrooms had rugs that were absolutely disgusting. The water pressure from both the shower and sink made it impossible to feel like you’re actually getting water.

Lovely big room

Room was v big and clean and perfect location, was minutes from everything.
Price is brilliant.
Only thing was the lack of hot water even when following the instructions given; we managed given only the short stay but was a bit annoying.
Not noisy at night at all.

Three adults stayed on 5 th floor. Luggage storage on main floor allowed us to leave suitcase and just take up the stairs overnight bag. Easy walk to downtown. Excellent modern room.

My stay was okay. I enjoy my time visiting Dublin because my stay is close to the city centre. What I dont like is how inconvenient that your check out time is 10 am and the cleaners are very busy cleaning the only dorm room at around 9. You are pressured to pack and leave and since the place is too tight, there's no other area to go but the dining area.

The room was tired, with some holes in the walls and masking tape around the doors. It would have been fine for the price, HOWEVER...

We were woken up at 11:50pm by a man knocking on the door asking for Amanda. We told him that there wasn't an Amanda in the room and he demanded that we open the door and show him our passports. We are two women and were in our pyjamas. The man did not identify himself so we refused (it is an unstaffed hotel so we had no reason to believe it was a staff member). He eventually went away after demanding multiple times (both to us and the next room). We were left very uncomfortable by the situation. I tried to ring the number on the booking but could not get through. I messaged and the hotel confirmed that the aggressive man had been a member of hotel staff!!

Horrible. I felt very unsafe, the person on the bunk bed under me was touching himself and being very loud. It smelled bad, there was like 20 people. It was more of a homeless shelter then a hostel.

Ease to public transportation. The hostess English is choppy so communication was a bit difficult. It was a good stay overall. Neighborhood is a bit dirty but very convenient location. Our room access was easy , the hostess send direct and understandable instructions to gain access.

KGT house was pretty ok. The beds were comfy answer wifi. They seemed pretty disorganized, and they didn't seem to know who I was when I got there from Expedia. It did feel secure. And I didn't have any problem with People there. It's just not a four or five star facility. The food was pretty meager for the nine euros And I found a full breakfast for only two euros more down the street. I'd still stay there again if it was just me, but not with kids.

Great place to sleep in Dublin for a night or two. Room was huge - there were 2 of us but it could have slept 6! It was about a 20 minute walk to the centre which was perfect for exploring and the price was excellent compared to other hotels. It was self-check-in so we didn't see any staff.

Code didn't work for check in as I was emailed the wrong one.. managed to phone someone who gave me the correct one but if you arrived at night and didn't have a roaming package your stuffed. The room itself was fine but god awful hot no fan or AC to speak of can't open the windows because the extractor from the takeaway beneath just blasts directly into the room. For £100 for a private room isn't all that cheap I don't think but relatively cheap for Dublin. Only stayed hear because I was to leave at 4am for the airport probably wouldn't stay again but ultimately you get what you pay for

Questionable if sheets were cleaned between use, as there was a copious about of black lint on every bed, and multiple strands of hair everywhere on the sheets. In addition, there was NO HOT WATER, and we went in January. The instructions say to flip the switch for 15 mins for hot water, and hot water never came.

Neighborhood is extremely walkable and tourist friendly for public transport, but there are also many other hotels in the area.

Brutal...could NOT even get inside the Building (had to wait for a pre-existing guest to return to the premises [with his take away lunch] and open the Front door for himself to gain entrance), after ringing the doorbell and knocking on the Front door for over 45 minutes!! NO staff members on the premises at all and there was NO \"front desk\" to check in at, even though the property states there is in the 'Confirmation' email that I received. My Guest and I were out a Room, I ended up booking in at another Hotel and he ended up driving back home to the very south of Ireland in Wexford! Absolutely NO/Zero compensation whatsoever (not even partial compensation)!! I would NOT even consider staying there ever again...NOT even if it was FREE!! Front door is a single man door which is NOT very well marked either, so very hard to spot unless you have your Google Maps handy! GOOD Luck if you decide to stay there!!! The Positive is it is handy to the core of the Dublin City and the Train....but there is a fairly steep hill (upwards) for 2 blocks to reach the Building. ***Plenty of well marked Hotels (down the hill and at more level ground), closer to the core of Dublin City, closer to the Trains, and closer to the River, than KGT House...where they actually have a 'Front Desk' with staff members onsite!!

This is probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. You can literally hear every foot step taken extremely loudly, the beds are load and squeak with every move, never mind any night time activities, and the bathroom fan is extremely loud. Avoid!

For a budget stay, this works. It was like pulling some teeth to get the info to get in to the room because the property owner sends the info like the very last minute. So if you don't have data or wifi you have to wait until after 1130am. When you're jet lag it's difficult to read all the instructions and rules in the room. It would have been nice to have the sign for the switch for the hot water. One of the room we stayed the switch for hot water was hidden so we had to figure it out. It

I met some two nice people there and I was happy to see some facilities to make coffee and microwave food which is not found in many hostels. But there was a few people that had all their stuff everywhere, including a lady above me who had shoes and stuff in my locker and it took me a few times of asking for her to let me use my locker.

It was about 15' walking far from Temple bar. It is quite old and simple, but correct acording to prices in Dublin. There isn't breakfast option after covid. Our room was for 3 people and it had 2 different joined rooms, which was perfect. The interphone doesn't work but once they have the room ready they send a code to the booking email with a code number to enter. Just a place to sleep

Nice, clean accommodation. Short walk from Drumcondra railway station, and into the city centre.
Check in details were emailed to me the morning of our stay.
Our room was nice and warm, and the premises seemed to be quite quiet. Room had a microwave which was handy, but no kettle.
I would definitely stay here again.
The eircode for the accommodation needs to be corrected to make it easier for people to find.

There were 3separate beds, that was nice. The location is a 20 minute walk from the city centre. There is a busstop in front of the house.

We did not like the smell in the house. You get 1 towel to use for 5 days. There is no frontdesk for any questions. It's noisy in- and outside.

Die Zimmer waren nicht die neuesten, doch wurden wohl gerade nach und nach ein wenig renoviert. Es hat aber an nichts gefehlt und sie waren auch sauber. Wenn ich am Preis spare, kann ich halt keine 5-Sterne erwarten!
Die Lage ist sehr gut. Direkt vor der Tür eine Bushaltestelle (Richtung Flughafen) und entspannte 20 Minuten Fußweg ins Zentrum.

Putrida, sudicia, fetida, lurida, qualitativamente mediocre, igienicamente scarsa.
Iniziamo dalla struttura, camera puzzolente, con animaletti volanti per non parlare del paio di mutande sporche di qualcuno lasciate dentro il cassetto, la doccia calda dura sì e no 3-4 minuti poi diventa fredda, il resto della struttura è putrido e fatiscente.
Come se non bastasse la zona in cui è ubicata non trasmette sicurezza in quanto vi è la presenza di soggetti strani e poco raccomandabili, come ubriaconi, bande di persone losche. Un incubo soggiornare in questa struttura.

Il materasso? Un fossile. Affossato al centro, con molle che sembravano urlare vendetta ogni volta che cercavi di girarti. A tratti ho temuto di essere inghiottito in un buco nero di polvere, acari e tristezza.

Le lenzuola erano un quiz biologico: macchie non identificate, pelucchi vari e un odore stantio che nessun detersivo conosce. Dormire è stato impossibile, ma almeno ho avuto tempo per riflettere sulle mie scelte di vita, soprattutto la peggiore di tutte; scegliere il KGT.

Chambre individuelle pour 3 personnes, très propre, doses de thé et café à disposition, mais mal insonorisée : nous étions côté cour avec le bruit de la climatisation du kebab d'en dessous, peut-être que côté route, c'était encore pire (?), plus le bruit des voisins... Ne pas oublier des bouchons d'oreilles et vous dormirez comme un bébé.
Pour venir de l'aéroport, ligne 16 juste en-dessous, pratique.
Le centre ville à 20mn à pieds.
Côtés resto, bôf.
Cela reste un bon choix.

Se hai poco budget...

Considerando i prezzi di Dublino e un buon compromesso vicino al centro, se avete d spendere non venite qui. Camera molto rumorosa aveva la finestra mezza rotta e si sentiva tt il traffico, poi aveva un motore che partiva ogni volta che aprivi l'acqua, letti comodi e stanza calda . Non mi e piaciuto pagare 5 euro a zaino il deposito bagagli! Che poi la domenica e anche fuori servizio.
