Hotel was absolutely fine. Lovely reception staff and reception. Slightly inconvenienced as only 1 lift as second one being refurbed.
Had junior suite top floor excellent view across the city. Big windows, balcony. Lovely. Located in perfect area. Very well soundproofed hotel. Very quiet. 10 mins walk to temple bar and Guinness and O'Connell Street. 5 minutes to Jameson. In Smithfield/Cobblestone area. 50m from Cobblestone pub, which I must say is a must to visit for ad hoc music, beer and atmosphere. Very decent breakfast and italians within 5 minutes. Oscar's bar a few doors down. Posh mini mart next door. Everything you need. Location, location, location and very acceptable room and hotel. Would stay there again for sure.

The hotel was clean and quiet, the staff were very helpful and kind, the breakfast was very good. The location was excellent. We had two major issues :
1- The bathroom shower did not have a secure cover so whenever we took shower, the bathroom was flooded with the shower water. Also we came close to falling out of the narrow tub while standing. (The glass cover was not fixed and could move freely if you lean on it, as we found out( The hotel administration should fix this issue. Hot and cold were not very clear and you either scalded yourself or had to wash in freezing cold water.
2- There were hangers but NO drawer cabinets in the room so we had to keep our clothes in the suitcases. The hotel administration should install at least a four-drawer cabinet in the rooms.
This is a minor issue but please note: You may want to include a few non-pork proteins for breakfast for those of us who do not eat pork.
Otherwise it was a good hotel and we would stay there again.

Great location, you could walk to most of the main attractions within minutes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Only complaint would be is the shower is a little small and the shower head has low pressure but handheld has a lot of pressure. Thanks for a great stay.

The location was amazing. Close to everything we wanted to do and across the street from Jameson Distillery tour.

I was disappointed with the parking situation. I purposefully booked this hotel as it said parking was included, but parking was actually at a separate parking garage. I was ok with this. My issue is that I used the contact feature through the Hotels app but the hotel never responded. I eventually had to email them and for the parking, I was told we had to register the license plate with the hotel a minimum of 24 hours before check in. As i was flying in and renting a car, I did not have this info. As well, when checking in, I asked at the front desk and their response was the same. When I explained I had a rental car, they said they couldn't do anything and just had to pay the full rate.

The room was ok. For being a well rated hotel I wasn't expecting to have broken tiles in the bathroom and a window which broke when closed.

I would book this hotel again, on a deal, as it was not worth the full value.

Breakfast served until 11am but I'd recomend getting in early, nothing was fresh at 10.30am on sunday.

Rooms dont have Air conditioning but they do have an electric fan.

One lift was out of service so waiting for the lift at busy periods was frustrating

Staff were beyond helpful. What an incredible team. Not sure of his name - but we had a male front of house staff member literally save a trapped bird from our balcony with his leg. Nearlly pulled a hamstring in doing so.. but wow. What a man.

Only downside to our stay was our neighbour smoking on his non-smoking balcony in his underwear. Not appropriate with 2 young girls and smells disgusting. Booked a non-smoking room to avoid these putrid smells.. but alas, we were engulfed in a putrid cloud of second-hand smoke.

Room was relatively clean. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful!! They answered any/all questions or concerns we had. We asked for a mini fridge and they brought one up to our room within minutes. I appreciated the water bottles they provided us on the daily 😊 The also provided tea and biscuits in our room for us to enjoy.
Overall it was a pleasant experience! Thank you Maldron staff!!

The staff was incredibly friendly, and check-in was easy and smooth. The room was nice and spacious for the three of us. The location is great, only about a 20-minute walk to the city centre and Temple Bar area, with plenty of food options and public transportation nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

We checked in late ay night and the person at the front desk was not kind, not rude but not friendly or nice.

The 3 person room was a nice idea but the room was small and awkwardly situated. 3 adults with luggage and personal belongings made the room feel even smaller. The balcony was wasted space and the door was impossible to get open. We had no control over the temp and the bathroom had no fan so it was not easy for all of us to get ready in the morning.

The day after check in our keys didn't work after breakfast so we had to get them re-issued with no explanation as to why.

The morning we left, we tried calling the front desk to let them know we were expecting a ride to the airport and we couldn't get thru. When we got to the lobby I tried telling the gentleman our troubles and he didn't seem to understand or care.

We had one positive experience with a staff member the morning we checked out. I regret not getting his name but he was at the restaurant checking room numbers for breakfast.

The staff were very friendly, the parking garage next to the hotel was easy to park in. The property and room were both clean. The room was stocked with coffee, tea, milk & sugar. The area was good for public transport and the Jameson Distillery is right across the street. The only issue I had was we paid to have the balcony room and unfortunately got one that was adjoined to the residential living connected to the hotel and we were unable to use our balcony because of the smell and infestation of flies from the neighbors balcony. The resident was a heavy smoker and cigarette butts and old cups filled with stale cigarettes covered the other side of the balcony. A bit disappointing but out of the hotels control. Overall the location was convenient, hotel was clean and parking was easy.

A welcoming experience from start to finish! The staff were accommodating to our every request, housekeeping cleaned our room each day and left bottles of water. The in house restaurant breakfast buffet was delicious and reasonably priced! The location of Maldron Smithfield is prime for walking to all the local sights and multiple options for public transportation. I highly recommend this hotel and location!

Room was very good but toilet was a challenge to flush properly but in all other aspect was good for the time we were there.
Red route tram was about 6 mins walk away and was 4 € for a return trip into town.

Think part of the issue was our room was the first floor right above where folks go outside to smoke. There was also a minor mishap where I essentially got overcharged, management was really quick to fix the issue when we checked out though

Loved the location, ease of parking and delicious breakfast at this hotel. The staff bent over backwards to assist their guests. Appreciated their efforts immensely. Family enjoyed the restaurant/bar. Next door to a great food shop. Pubs close by. Maybe not the safest area at night but we had no problem Loved the balcony, to let in fresh air, the beds were so comfortable and the shower was dreamy. There was nothing about this hotel that we did not like except our stay was too short.

Dont try and order off the menu as they only serve wht the current chef of the day wants to or know how to make.

The location was great. Next door to Jameson Distillery. Store for snacks on ground floor. A few blocks from The Boar Head Pub (oldest pub in Ireland). When we were there they were painting. Not a big deal regarding comfort, but they left the ladder & supplies out in the open lobby over the house of the 4 days we were there. I would have moved the equipment to a supply room to give a less 'messy' lobby look.

Overall we had a good stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were modern and clean, although they do not have air conditioning. We had to keep the balcony door and window open to keep the temperature comfortable for sleeping.

The breakfast buffet had a good selection of both hot and cold items.

The location is a little off the beaten path. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the city center and many attractions and restaurants. There is a streetcar (tram) stop close which is another good option. The parking garage is not operated by the hotel, but it is right below it.

Also, the location was a little noisy. During our stay a small but loud group of people drinking beer congregated in the small public park right outside the front entrance of the hotel into the evening hours.

The beds were comfortable but the bathroom was in need of a deep clean (dirt around the door stop and shower door were particularly noticeable). We also noticed a bad drain smell coming from the bathroom. We worked out that it was coming from the toilet so we kept the seat down and door of the bathroom closed.
Outside the hotel front door there is a small green space which regularly had homeless people sitting on. That's fine, but the late night drinking and chatting that we could hear in our room was not fine. The hotel needs to invest in proper double glazing, or move people on. You expect some noise in a city but this wasn't particularly nice.
I wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed here with our 3 kids (in two rooms) for one Saturday night in June. The lobby and rooms are updated and clean. Beds are comfy. Parking was straightforward. Location is pretty good: about 20 minute walk to Temple Bar. The area around the hotel is okay. The rooms had fans which really helped with the heat. The place was fine, and a good price relative to other options in the city centre.

Thais was the receptionist as we entered the hotel. She went over and beyond her call of duty and was an exceptional employee. This hotel is located right across the Jameson Distillery and is conveniently located. There’s parking option available for a fee which is. Great option because we had a rental car. It’s easily walkable if you’re planning to gallivant around the city but also close to a Luas station. The staff is very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice location with a view of the city from the balcony. Looked like the pictures and the breakfast was good. The only downside was no a/c, which none of us expect to need in May but here we are. There was a fan at least and the door opened so we could get it pretty cool but keeping it overnight was not an option because it got so hot with the sun in the morning.
