I loved our stay at Staycity Aparthotels, Dublin, Christchurch. The staff was wonderful.The room was nice , updated, and clean - like a mini apartment with everything you would need in the kitchen.The location was convenient for someone using the public transportation but we had a rental car. That was the only issue. We did not know we could use the bus lane to unload- the hotel itself does not have a check-in/unloading zone. The €14 a day parking is down hill from the hotel at their St Augustine location. About a 6-7 min walk. The Q-Park that is close in Christchurch was €50-€60 a day- so be aware. All the tourist attractions are fairly close in walking distance 5-10 min in any direction. A few are 15-20 min but there are so many things to see along the way it didn’t matter.

Great 3 day Dublin trip with teenage granddaughter

Clean, comfy and good location. Right by bus stop (2 local bus rides to airport), tesco, cathederal and guiness storehouse walking distance. Good pubs and restaurants. 24hr reception staff all excellent. Upgraded free to 2 bed apartment on arrival thank you my granddaughter enjoyed her own room. Only downside would be lack of wardrobe space if staying longer. We got tourist bus pass and used public transport to get around and out to Howth. Highlights Guiness Storehouse, St Audoens Church. Jeanie Johnson and EPIC museum. Cathederal and Castle nearby. Pub O'Sheas Merchant 5 min walk good food live music. Bakery, Italian Pizza and nearby pubs all good. Howth harbour and beach day out. ( Dart from tara street)

Wonderful place that exceeded our expectations for the price. Our room was clean and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and sitting area. The concierge team was phenomenal - super friendly and helpful and the entire check in and check out process was a breeze. The sofa beds wasn't the most comfy but that's to be expected. The room was a bit stark though, a little more warmth and detail to the decor would bring this place to a 5 for me. Location was excellent with coffee shops and right around the corner and 10 min to the lively Temple Bar area.

No hot water for shower for the third person in the room if the three guests had their showers in a row.
No additional towers provided even though the guests requested with dirty towers already returned to the housekeeping earlier the day.
When I placed my booking with full payment via Expedia, I could not find any disclosure of insufficient hot water for bathing and restrictive supply of towels by the aparthotel. If I have known about these 2 issues, I would not have booked this aparthotel. Also the receptionist was not helpful and her attitude towards customers needed further training in order to work in the service industry.

We chose this hotel to stay 1 night on our first trip ever to Ireland (long stopover on a connecting flight), and it was perfect for that. Able to walk to at least a dozen nearby pubs, including a district that includes one of the most famous pubs in Ireland, many of them buzzing with nightlife. Also walkable to the river, Dublin Castle, and a beautiful cathedral across the street. The hotel itself was perfect, with tons of space for our family of 5, and super comfortable beds. Staff was extremely nice, giving us an extensive welcome talk and hotel overview, plus a lot of help upon checkout. A little noisy as it is along a main road. But would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had no room key for our entire stay!

When we arrived at the hotel we had no room keys due to a problem with the door. For our entire stay this was not resolved so every time we came into the reception we had to ask to be taken to our room which almost felt like we were inconveniencing staff. It felt very insecure as anyone could have asked to be let into our room at any moment.

Overall 2 br apartment/ room was very pleasant! Our apartment had loads of space. Great for families w sleeper sofa - or 2 couples. It had a modern kitchen with washer/dryer micro and coffee machine Everything was very tidy and very clean minus a small stain on sofa. The lobby had pay for coffee and payoff small snacks. Best to being own. Area around isn’t that great -but not dangerous at all -and a short walk to nicer areas.

Overall a good stay

We were a family of 5 and stayed 2 nights in a 2 BR apt. Our options were limited when booking so just booked what we could find.

Pros:
- clean towels and bed linens
- kitchen had what we needed
- pleasantly surprised with the nice elevated view from our 3rd level room
- the convenience of the location - shortish walking distance to where we wanted to go.
- shortish walking to the airport express bus

Cons:
- noisy road, especially during the day
- tlc needed ... Window frames need to be caulked and treated, couches cleaned, fix wobbly dining table, grease squeaky bathroom door. Minor items that would help.

Overall we were happy with our 2-night stay. Any longer we would have felt cramped.

Booked the Staycity Christchurch for a family vacation. It was high on my list because of the promise of sleeping 5 comfortably. For the most part, it was a great stay, and I'd highly recommend it. There are a couple minor things worth knowing though...

First, the good stuff:
The unit was clean, and larger than expected. It seems like it was recently updated, and has all you need should you decide to make a few meals in the room.
The staff is fantastic. We had lots of questions and they were always delighted to help out no matter the time of day.
The location is what makes it really special. Pretty much everything in the Dublin city centre is walkable. Temple Bar (if you're interested) is a 5 minute walk. Guiness is walkable. There are restaurants and pubs within spitting distance.
There isn't much to be critical of.
The furniture could be updated. Chairs in the living area aren't terribly comfortable, and for some reason an apartment that sleeps 5 only has seating space for 2 or 3 on the couches. The beds could be better too (but not bad).
The big thing to know is that parking isn't on site. It's close, but you will be parking a couple blocks away if you have a car. I'd confirm whether parking is available before booking if you need it.

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable, had all the facilities we required and easy walking distance to central Dublin. The staff were always friendly and very helpful. The app required for keyless entry was new for us but the staff were very helpful in setting up and acquainting us with it's use. We have stayed here three times. The property has been updated nicely to make it feel bigger with more comfortable beds. Excellent location, quiet and perfect for families. Front desk staff was always pleasant and helpful.
Be aware that they are doing keyless entry now so a smart phone is required to access apt and there are no instructions on how to use appliances which can be tricky.

Staycity was great for our needs. We had 3 small children with us and having a kitchen and a Lidl right down the street was great. The staff is exceptional- helpful, friendly and very attentive.
Communication before our trip was a little spotty. I wanted to know if there were hairdryers, iron and ironing boards in the rooms which in not online in the amenities. We were in Ireland for a wedding, so we needed to know if we should pack certain needs.
The hallway carpets could use a cleaning.
All in all, though, it was great for our needs.

The shower stall was dangerous, no handles, slippery , no mat for inside shower stall. Also the shower was impossible to figure out - how to turn on the water. The sofa bed Very Uncomfortable- no screens on windows and we needed windows open since there was no air conditioning. The television was impossible to figure out , was hoping for a tv in bedroom as well.

No air conditioning. Would have been ok if they would have given us fans. None were available. Ran out of milk for our coffee. The front desk said they also ran out. The washer was ok but the drying cycle never worked or completely dried the cloths. Pillows were flat and only 2 the front desk gave us 2 more but they were flat. I have to say that the staff at the desk were very accommodating and felt terrible about them running out of fans and milk. No complaints on their service.

Was okay, we got two single beds and asked could we get a double room and thankfully the staff did change the room as requested for us and the room we had the fridge was broken. I was surprised the room didn’t have any Netflix or anything or even screencast to watch something we preferred instead of standard TV that was a bit of let down and the remote kept stopping working every 20 minutes. Room and bed was good and shower was fine. The worst is the parking that they don’t offer free parking or even a car park close by, for €14 euro not really worth it we parked up the road and paid 8 which still dear for street parking but not ideal for just a night stay

The location was good. The staff was nice but not very good with recommendations or directions. They were all very young and probably just hired (one guy had a trainee badge). The stay was comfortable and the kitchen well stocked and clean. The bathroom had a strange wet bleach-y smell. I was disappointed the little electric fireplace wouldn’t turn on. I asked the girl at the desk, and she said it should turn on. When I went back and asked again she said it was “decorative only”.

I liked the super convenient location. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do, but not directly in the line of tourists or traffic congestion. Every staffer was friendly, efficient and courteous.
Our bed was comfortable, the closets were ample, the full kitchen was useful. It was more apartment than we actually needed. It would be great for several couples or a larger family group.

Didn't like that their was a lot of apparent abuse by previous occupants. It was a Non-smoking building but our balcony was covered in butts. The fridge had broken and missing bins. One cabinet door had a serious crack. The Laundry machine didn't function and had a broken control panel.
The Hot Water was almost too hot.

The hotel seemed run down and needed lots of work. There is scaffolding up in the front of the building and workers making noise early in the morning, walking past the windows. The air conditioner did not work, and when we asked the front desk we were told they don't use air conditioners in Europe and was given attitude. We would have been ok with the windows open but the main window was screwed shut and not able to be opened. If you can stay somewhere else, do it!

We were moved to a nearby location due to a problem with our original apartment but it was handled well and we were upgraded to a two bedroom. Location at St Augustine was also very good. One downside was we had to keep windows closed at night due to noise in the courtyard area. Might have been more of a problem in summer.

The location of this Aparthotel was perfect. Not too far to the hustle and bustle of the temple bar area (10 minute walk) but far enough away that you don't hear the noise.

The apartment was large. However, there was dust everywhere. The heating vents had mounds of dust just laying on them. The mattresses were the older spring mattress. I felt every spring when I was trying to sleep. Not comfortable. The sofa bed was even worse. The chairs in the dining area were all peeling. The shower curtain was yellowish/brownish from the soap scum. For the price I paid I definitely expected better quality. Also, the kitchen area didn't even have the basic spices. I had to buy my own salt and pepper. I left them behind for the next guest.

The wifi was decent but you can definitely not stream any videos just do basic searches.

There was also construction going on during my stay. Definitely didn't like being woken up to those noises. If I had known about the construction I wouldn't have stayed here.

The property was in a good location, the staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us around the city.
However, the room was not as pictured on line, as I recall and there was no communication/phone system in place in the hotel... I could not call the person with whom I travelled nor could I call the front desk.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness fine but chairs need replacing in apartment completely worn. Hot water not always available although may be a timing issue in that apartment. Would use again though.

The appartment was not in good shape. The door to go on the balcony was locked. And it was also not correctly shut so we were hearing a lot of noise from the street.
The toilet seat was not fixed correctly to the ground. It was moving.
Also there was a bad humidity odor in the bathroom.

Perfect for exploring the city!

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and it couldn't have been a lovelier stay. The staff were so kind and thoughtful, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay with them again.

Just OK

This is a decent place to stay for one night if you are transitioning in or out of Dublin for a day. The location is very good, a 10 minute walk to the Temple Bar area. The service and staff are also pleasant and helpful.

The property itself is somewhat rundown. It does not look like the owners have put much capital into the property - heavily stained carpet in hallways, elevator buttons completely broken or cracked and do not light up, plumbing that is subpar - but the rooms are decently appointed and comfortable enough for one night sleep. I would not stay here for longer than that, and while the price was fair for the product received, next time I would spend some more money and stay in a nicer hotel.

It was old, dirty, run down, non-smoking room had a cup of water and dozens of dirty old cigarette butts in it. The place stunk. The couch fabric was all torn. It looked nothing like the picture on expedia for the property we rented.

To their credit, they moved us to a sister hotel down the street which was excellent
