The staff were fantastic! Tracy and Rachel made our stay extra special! The location was close to downtown…easy walk to see the sites! A lot of little things made CitizenM a great place to stay…staff, comfortable lounge area and relaxed atmosphere.

Well managed new Marriott franchise property. All staff were professional, very helpful (sought ways to assist rather than waiting to be asked), and knowledgeable about their duties. rooms in this property are designed to be controlled by a tabet (lights (there are also switches for most lights), tv, temerature, etc. Rooms have a space saving layout - a small rectangle. The kingsize bead is at the end of the short room and fits wall to wall against the back wall where the window is. Iinstructions tell guests to to sleep with heads toward the window and feet towrd the door (i.e. climb in from the bottom of the bead) to vois having to crawl over a second person to get out of the bed. using teh bed in this fashion makes it difficult for theperson on the left to see the TV which is placed on the wall beside the bed. Breakfast is the same every day. Breakfast - omlete folded over egg (no fillings), potato patty, Irish bacon & sausage, brioled tomato, cooked mushrooms, plus barious breasds, breakfast pastries, cheeses, fruit, fresh squeezed juices, cereals, and various coffees to order. Food well prepared.
Much is posted on line about Marriott franchies not honoring Marriott honored guest ebenefits - this property honors benfits. My wife and I stayed at the property for 10 days. Property is well located and a short walk to the center of the city, walking tours, and sights.

We loved this hotel! Location was ideal for exploring Dublin as well as reaching pick up spots for day tours! We walked everywhere! The room, though small as in any urban hotel, but was well thought out and very comfortable. The shower was awesome! The “living room” lobby feature was ideal for gathering before and after our day exploring.

Good location, really walkable. I think this hotel is great for solo travelers. The bathroom door was a swinging glass door so bathroom privacy felt minimal, at least in the room I was in. They put us in a wheelchair accessible room, so the door could have just been for ease of use. The room we were in also only had a couple working outlets, so we couldn’t have your phones plugged into the wall next to the bed, which was only a pain when the alarm would go off because the bed is sandwiched in between two walls so you have to crawl your way to the bottom of the bed to get out. I didn’t think I’d mind having to do that when I booked the hotel, but in practice was not a fan. Haha.

This review is to highlight what the on-line hotel information does not tell you. 1.The room is quite small. This is not unusual for European hotels, but this is the first time I have seen the “bathroom” jut out into the room encased in opaque glass, with a small curtain hanging around it. To be clear, the bathroom only contains the toilet and the shower. The vanity is placed in the main room, further restricting the amount of space. For a single traveler, the opaque glass surrounding the toilet and shower would be fine, but, for two travelers together, this could be uncomfortable. 2.The King size bed is quite comfortable, BUT, it is pushed up against the window and is flush against the other two walls, so getting in and out is, to put it mildly, challenging. It is also very high off the ground, which makes it challenging to get in and out of in the dark (I am 5’4”). 3.There is a small desk and chair, but, the the TV is only visible when you are in the bed – please see Note #2 as to why this is a problem. 4.The room has no glasses, or other accessories. I was told that I could NOT borrow a corkscrew and that, if I wanted a wine glass and wanted the bottle open, I would have to bring both down to the bar. As I head towards 70, I haven’t been treated with such little trust in a long, long time.5.They only do a “light” cleaning (whatever that means) every 3rd day. 6. The i-pad makes the everyday tasks of putting on lights, opening blinds, etc. harder than they should be.

I have stayed with CitizenM in London and now Dublin and I really love it.

Rooms are small, but very modern, functional and clean. Shower and climate control are great. Staff is always very helpful and friendly; and the lobby has a fun vibe, without being too energetic.

The location here is fantastic — just south of the action in Temple Bar, so you can walk up in a few minutes, but it’s VERY quiet around the actual hotel. I had a stellar view of St. Patrick’s outside my window.

My only complaint is there is no kettle or way to make hot water in the room, nor do they give you any coffee or tea.

This hotel is for a very specific type of person. Someone who uses the room for sleep and showering. The room is low on comfort and amenities. No coffee or tea or even water. Not even a glass in the bathroom. Oh, no sound proofing between the toliet/shower stall and the bed area. The sink is where a dresser normally goes. This room has no drawers at all. We put 1 suitcase under the bed and the other on a tiny desk. The staff tried to be helpful but spent most of their time defending the hotel's concept. 2 in the room? the bed is locked in on 3 sides so be prepared to crawl over. Want a cup of coffee in the morning or tea at night? Head down to the \"living room\" (bar) , purchase it for £4, and take it back to your tiny room, where you can drink it in your tiny chair.
Tired and just want to check in and rest? Not so fast lights, climate, and media (TV) are controlled by an iPad. No silly simple dials or silly conveniently located light for them.
No heat produ
cing appliances in the rooms. This means flat and curling irons and tepid hair dryers.
We have traveled from the poshist Maldives villa to an Ibis value in Singapore and have never seen a company charge so much for so little. Shame on you Marriott.

The staff is so nice and amazing. Even when I was stumbling into the hotel room at 6am after being out all night they greeted me and chuckled. This place is super nice and the lights are cool. My only complaint is that the rooms ARE SO SMALL. Which would be fine if the price per night was cheaper. If I was staying here for a couple days it would be perfect but I stayed for 7 nights and I had about 4 feet of floor space. Hopefully the prices go down a bit and then this hotel would be a perfect place to stay. If I suddenly become rich I would definitely stay here again!!

Cons - Arrived after our day of traveling to be told there was no room for us upon check in - as in the hotel was overbooked. Can you imagine?! Sat in reception for over an hour until a taxi was called for us to go to a different hotel. Got woken up by this hotel saying if we didn't leave in 10 mins we would be charged extra - even though this wasn't explained to us upon check in (but that's a separate issue). Couldn't get through to this hotel on the phone to arrange a taxi for us to return to the hotel we had actually booked. Wasted loads of time for this extra travel and faffing with, instead of enjoying our trip. Pros - were given free drinks, room got upgraded and they offered a to refund 1 night. Still a terrible experience. Would not reccomend.

I've stayed in other CitizenM locations, so great to see them in Dublin. The room was exactly the same in terms of fittings and fixtures as the other CitizenM hotels I've stayed in, so no surprises there, but I do wish the room had been a bit cleaner, e.g., there was a lot of dust on the shelf above the clothes rail. It didn't leave a great impression. However, the staff members I interacted with on check-in and check-out were both incredibly friendly and a credit to the hotel.

It was a more modern experience than I had in most of Europe. There’s a tablet where you can control most things. I would say that for two people it would be tight, but since I was alone it was perfect. Loved that I didn’t have to get room service everyday, I could choose. Check in was easy, staff was helpful. Bar and food downstairs. I spent most of my time out but really enjoyed my room because it was a good walking distance from almost everything I wanted to do.

I love the Citizen M brand - and try to stay thrrr whenever possible. The newly opened location in Dublin didn’t disappoint! The standard citizen M room layout with its amazingly comfortable king sized bed was very quiet (didn’t hear my neighbours at all). The hotel is well located within walking distance to Temple bar, Grafton Street, Trinity College and RCSI. Friendly staff managed to get me in to my room early, after a transatlantic flight, which i greatly appreciated. Can’t recommend this spot highly enough, and will happily stay here again next time in Dublin.

All together fantastic! Amazing staff very streamlined checkin, solid bar area and food. Breakfast good, location excellent for walking around. Room spotless and whole thing just interesting decor, may not be everyone's vibe but for me loved it. I'll put it this way typically a hotel is more or less the last thing on your mind when recounting your trips adventures, but for this hotel it is almost an attraction in itself! Cannot recommend enough good value eventhough not cheapest.

The location is a little tucked out of the way however it is only a short walk to Grafton Street and that whole area. Dublin is a walkable city so easy enough to get around. foot. Also Luas and buses

The hotel is lovely and clean, reception & bar area have lots of places to relax and is nice. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and polite. The only problem I had was with the room. No tea/coffee facilities. The bed is pushed up to the window so if there is 2 people in the room you have to climb over one person to get in and out of bed not very good especially for older guests. Everything in the room is operated by a tablet great if you are ok with technology but a nightmare when not. The shower was great although the sink is in the bedroom not in the bedroom.

Loved our room, clean and spacious. Stayed here for a girls weekend away and the location is perfect for getting to and from the shops, bars, attractions and restaurants. We like the fact that we could choose our room views on arrival which is often not possible or cost extra. Would’ve liked another duvet but apparently they weren’t any left as it was fully booked but the staff did raise the temp in our room which was perfect compensation for us. Although there was some it issues with the iPad, the Tv was fine and we could stream our own programmes/music from our devices if necessary. Staff were super helpful and caring. We felt safe and informed throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and/or stay again. Thank you!

While the overall stay is fine and it’s a very walkable area, the cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par. There was hair left on pillow cases, the shower was also subpar. The hotel staff was friendly. This hotel served its purpose and if you don’t need all the extra bells and whistles it’s a great place to stay. The rooms are small and depending on how long you’re staying they are required to clean your room. As a solo traveler I prefer not to have my room cleaned for safety reasons.

Comfortable stay - the room was compact, but had everything that was needed and well thought out solutions to things. I loved that the blackout blind meant the room was perfectly dark so I could get a good sleep.
The only thing that I thought could be improved was that the bathroom pod door didn't close propery, and kept opening - not ideal when you are not a solo traveller.
