Very nice room in a great location.
Very noisy unless you are on the top floor.
I was. Nightclub downstairs which I didn't mind.
Only downside was the bathroom.
Very badly laid out and the shower was almost unworkable. Took ages to get to the correct temperature and the wall fixing was loose and not high enough.

So not quite sure how to say this— but people were having s*x directly outside of our room, in the hallway. I don’t know how this was even going on, and why there weren’t cameras or staff allowed them to go up there, but definitely was not something I have ever experienced in a hotel. The room was fine— definitely would not stay again though.

This hotel was stifling hot in the room. The window only opened a couple of inches making any sort of airflow impossible. They had a fan in the hallway that we put in our room but it did not help. We had a terrible sleep given how hot the room was. The noise we could live with (they provide earplugs), but the heat was outrageous. We are grateful we were only there for 1 night. Would not recommend this hotel

Visiting several sites in Dublin and nearly all of them were wonderful. The Russel Court hotel is incredibly noisy in the evening with loud music, a throbbing beat, and people shouting. I tried the ear plugs but woke up in the middle of the night as it hurt my ear. It was also stuffy but only one window could be opened about 3 inches. Staff did provide a fan, which help drown out the noise at night. In the morning when I went to have coffee/croissant downstairs I was very aware of cleaning solution smell as the staff was busy mopping the floors. Hard to enjoy coffee with that smell in the air. Note- staff was very friendly.

Terrible. Always read the reviews. This place is surrounded by a nightclub and it’s impossible to sleep. I had to leave at midnight!

Amazed how they are allowed to operate as a hotel. The noise is unbearable and the lobby is basically awaiting ground for people to go clubbing.

The location was perfect for walking to stores, restaurants, tram and public parks. There is a club in the basement and garden, so it is loud at night with the beat of music. We knew this ahead of time because of reviews, but we tried ear plugs. They didn't work. Also, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, which are very small. Just know what you're getting into with the noise at night. We didn't experience the restaurant. Dublin is a very friendly city and we felt completely safe walking, even in the evening.

Even though they tell you that nightclubs in the area, we had no idea that there would be a nightclub bumping music 30 feet from our window in the back courtyard. It was impossible to get to sleep before 3 AM every night.

The location was excellent. However, the hotel has a large dance club on the ground floor that was very loud with hundreds of young people partying until late. Fortunately, the hotel management knows this and provided ear plugs, which I used and allowed me to sleep well.

Quite a basic hotel for the average backpacker. Was a little difficult to get the hot water working at times. Sleeping was very difficult as next door transformed into a night club until the early hours so the music was very loud.
€200 for 2 nights, I would say quite expensive for what you get.

The hotel itself and the staff were all great, but the all night, outdoor nightclub under our windows, not so much. If I could transplant the hotel somewhere away from the music I would stay here again, but as-is, I would steer friends and family away unless they are planning to be on the dance floor each night, too.

As most reviews say, be prepared for the noise from the night club downstairs until 4am - and this even on weeknights. Otherwise, the room was perfectly acceptable, nothing crazy but no complaints. What was annoying is when you go to enter the hotel at night, the bouncers of the club are very rude and it’s difficult to access your hotel room because it’s all blocked off by them!

The room we had was very big and spacious, if a bit dated. The bathroom was clean. Shower wasnt great, very hard to control the temperature. The lift is tiny and only used it the once as it was a bit scary how small it was. Check in was really quick and smooth.
You could hear the nightclubs on site but were notified about it on booking so it was our choice to still stay here, it did wake me up a couple of times but it wasnt terrible and it was only for one night.

Nice and functional, rooms slightly worn and there is no a/c but clean and tidy There is no parking outside so you have to plan ahead a bit. If you are a light sleeper use the free ear plugs provided as there is a lot of activity from the outside.

I really enjoyed staying here. We got the deluxe room because it was the only one left on the night we needed but I have no regrets, it was great.
It was a very sunny day so our room was very hot but reception sorted us out with a fan very quickly. All of the staff were lovely :)
I enjoyed the decor and I thought the nightclub was fun (I didn't actually go into the nightclub, but I felt like I got a VIP experience dancing in my room). When you get back after the nightclub is open you have to ring to be let in, so you feel even more like a VIP :')
To be honest the music was noticeable but I didn't mind it. I went to bed late anyway. They put earplugs in the room but honestly with the fan on and windows and curtains closed it was background enough that I didn't need them. But I'm someone who prefers falling asleep to background noise.

It was a fun experience! I will certainly remember it. And I would be excited to stay again in the deluxe room if I got the chance :)

Hotel is old Georgian style and croissants juicers and coffee provided in Dow stairs bar in the morning. Family room for 4 was spacious and comfy with adequate housekeeping. Only issue room overly warm and full blown nightclub going on every night on ground floor and base

Really nice stay!

The shower wasn’t very good, Water pressure was poor and it was noisy from the nightclub downstairs but they give you ear plugs which helped. Every thing else was excellent! They even gave us an umbrella to borrow when we ventured out as it was raining.

I had to return to Belfast as the room was not up to standard it was far to warm with the windows not opening. The condition of the rooms were not good although the entrance was lovely. The bathroom was very terrible marks on the toilet. The room did not feel clean and I couldn’t stay there. I was told I would get a refund before I left but now apparently I can’t.
Not a good experience at all !

Weeks later and still catching up on sleep. Although it states in facilities nightclub, this should have been made more obvious in the booking description. Music til 3am followed by screaming in the streets until 5am. Shower freezing cold and barely sprayed any water at all. Would avoid.

I,feel,that is in fact a major point of the hotel, the music goes on until at lease 2.30 in the morning. I am really unhappy with hotels.com for not including this in the description of the hotel, as I would certainly not have stayed here. Absolutely shocking. DO NOT BOOK HERE, better site do not use hotels. as they are not reliable for booking accommodation

Hotel was amazing. Clean, comfortable, spacious. The room was hot as there is no ac but you can open the window and they also provided a fan. It helped a bit. The night clerk, Erick, was so amazing and friendly. Conor the night medic was also friendly and amazing. We would definitely stay here again. We didn’t mind the music from the clubs. It wasn’t unbearable and we had our window open. It actually made us vibe and we went down to the club all 3 nights we were there.

I stayed with 5 other friends. The rooms are very large. We had 3 to each room, so appreciated the space. It’s very well situated for the centre. We stayed on a Sunday night and was out very late so can’t comment on how loud it would be from the bar and club below the rooms. But have nothing negative to say. The gentleman at reception’Angel’ was an angel. He really helped us with storage of our bags. Ordering taxies and lending out umbrellas!

The male member of staff on reception on the night was fantastic, although we knew we were staying above 3 nightclubs that don’t shut till 4 I didn’t expect to be shoved out of the hotel lobby by security whilst I was wearing a T-shirt and shorts trying to buy a drink, I was then charged £15 pounds for 2 half cups of lemonade and half a cup of coke after being ushered into the basement to get a drink.
The room felt like it was 400degrees so maybe a fan would help

The hotel is older but the rooms are big and very clean. Excellent location, close to restaurants and a short walk to temple bar. Unfortunately when we booked we were not aware that there is a nighclub directly behind the hotel so extremely loud techno music nightly from 10pm-2am. Pretty good DJ but not ideal when you want to get up early for sightseeing.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Very functional, we stayed there after a gig and it was perfect, I'll very likely stay there again. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was perfectly close to to the museums and sights we wanted to see. The room was excessively warm and the only way to cool it down was to open the windows, which was fine during the day however that brings me to my second downside- the night club located under the building. the bass shook the room until the early hours of the moring and club goes yelled outside of our window until nearly 4am. Would not recommend unless you are an extremely heavy sleeper or plan to be out partying all night.

Worst hotel I've stayed in

Easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Aside from the nightclub attached to the hotel, which is covered in many of the reviews, my room (on the third floor so I was told it was one of the good ones) had a shower that only provided hot or cold water. Not both. The heating in my room stopped working after the first night and reception kept telling me they would turn it up (it didn't work, so theor plan to turn it up from the central control does nothing) and the toilet stopped filling with water so I could flush it. Also, the cold water from the tap stopped working, but at least the hot water tap (only) provided cold water at that point. So I could wash my hands after using the toilet that I could not flush. The third time that I asked reception what they were doing, and they kept referring to a maintenence person who doesn't start working until 8pm for some reason, I insisted they send someone to the room to actually see the problem (they hadn't done that yet). When he came to the room, he said something about them maybe moving me to another room. After an hour I called reception again and they asked if he had fixed it ... Eventually the manager came to the room and confirmed that the heater doesn't work. I told them that hours ago. Brought an electric heater that should have been brought hours ago. Couldn't fix the toilet, and there were no other rooms available so they couldn't change me to another room. A couple of hours later, they did finally change my room.

Lovely hotel with easily accessible transport links to the city centre. Unfortunately the shower in the room did not work and when it did work the water pressure was so low it was unusable. There was no way to turn the heat down in the room, which was uncomfortably warm.

Location was good, room was spacious..however, heating was extremely strong and there was no option to turn off the heating. The room was facing a night club and both the nights we stayed there was loud music until 2.30am. On the 2nd day, we requested for another room and were told we had the best room. On the 2nd night, the smoke alarm went rwice in the middle of the night..we had a very disturbed sleep. Overall not a great experience.

The hotel is in an excellent position just off St. Stephen’s Green - so walking distance from most things. It was a little noisy for us (although we knew that before our stay) due to the nightclubs in the vicinity. There were a couple of brief fire alarms on the Saturday night, but no matter. The room was spacious and good value for money, although we would have liked to have been able to turn the radiators down a wee bit - the room got quite hot at night… But overall a pleasant stay.

The location is best if you want to walk around the centre. Other positive points are its overall clean and reasonably priced.
Is is reasonably priced because everything is out of date and it runs a club downstairs. You will hear loud music till early morning. So its best to avoid over the weekend or if you can sleep with earplugs.
I hadn't read the reviews, but ours was a short trip and our main goal was to see Dublin as much in 2 days as we could. So even though we could not sleep well due to the noise, Dublin was nice and friendly to keep us happy. Thank you Ireland. We'll come again but unless desperate not to Russell Court. Happy Christmas.

it’s a great hotel I love the rooms/ furniture etc but on the occasion the fire alarm went off twice in the night and woke me up both times, it wa son for only seconds so clearly a false alarm but I was awakened and first time couldn’t get back to sleep for ages… so not a restful night at all (and I don’t mind the general party/ nightclub sounds/noise they have that’s fine, the alarm was not)

I booked here for the weekend as was running the Dublin marathon and it was close to the start line. I was aware of the nightclub and the hotel put us in the third floor. This made no difference at all. The music was vibrating through the place until 2:30 am.

The rooms were clean, however the bathroom was very dated. The location was great. However I would not stay here again due to the noise.
I'm sure this would suit young partygoers but not for a relaxing stay.

As many have already noted, the hotel is adjacent to a very loud bar/disco/event space. It is very, very noisy. So if it is quiet you seek, don't stay here. I knew this in advance, however, and asked for their quietest room. They gave me a room on the 3rd floor and with ear plugs at night, I slept comfortably. The location is fabulous. Easy walk to Fiddler's Green. Staff were kind, calling cabs, carrying my bags. Fruits and coffee/teas in morning rush. If you are budget-minded, this is a good choice in Dublin.

Stay was quiet and comfortable, the water issues were inconvenient but the staff were very considerate and allowed us to check out a little later so we could shower.

Does have a night club in the basement - likely to be kept awake until two am - unless you fancy visiting the club.
Other than that - reasonable budget hotel. 1/2 hour walk away from the Aviva

The property needs updates and has no air circulation. Extremely noisy and people were allowed to roam the hallways banging on room doors after the pubs had closed. Did not feel safe.

Fire alarm at 12:30 am, again at 2:30 am. Manager allows enough smoking in night club to set off alarms, does not even turn off music in club (no attempt at evacuation).
Noise from club expected but street party constant past 3 am

Great for adults- super nice staff!

People here were so nice and helped with directions. I came here for the Notre Dame vs Navy game with my brother. It does get loud at night, but the windows are super thick so it’s not too bad.
There is also a lite breakfast served of croissants, scones, and tea. This is a great option for the budget traveler with no kids!

Friendly staff, good nigh club on-site till 2-3am (so not for those who wants a quite night sleep )with variety of music option and cheap alcohol drinks .Comfortable beds. Also conveniently located to number of restaurants and pubs with tram on door step into city centre.Will definitely stay here again.

The coffee was not brewed, but instant. Apparently the hotel is in the night club district which is fine if you are young and a partier. We are no longer in that age group so the loud music until 2 or 3 in the morning was annoying.

A walk away from downtown

We had no idea that we were in a \"party club\" area of Dublin. Used the ear plugs to sleep. I slept very well.
