We were initially very pleased with the atmosphere of this hotel. Check‑in was smooth, but we were assigned an accessible room without anyone mentioning it. We only discovered this after unpacking late at night. A simple, considerate “Is this room okay for you?” from the front desk would have prevented the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, the service in the breakfast area was a completely different story. No one greeted us, no one explained the ordering process, and we had to ask about every basic detail. Where to sit, where to order, even where the condiments were. There was no warmth, no welcome, and no sense of hospitality. The staff appeared disengaged and uninterested in assisting guests.
For a company like Wetherspoons, with such a large presence across the U.K. and Ireland, I expected far better training and customer service. The lack of attentiveness from the breakfast staff significantly detracted from what could have been a much more enjoyable stay.

Very loud both inside and outside the hotel. There are fire doors everywhere so every time someone is in the hall the door slams and closes next to all the rooms. The tv also were odd, not letting you control the volume (lower even).

Hotel is centrally located with great pubs near by. There is no parking on site nor on the streets, hotel will give a discount to park in a lot about 6 blocks away. A bit of an inconvenience but ok unless one cannot walk that well. The one thing that it was surprising was the lack of hygiene cleaning daily like the bathroom; and change of towels was odd as well. Even if one places placard on the door to tidy the room, sometimes not done. Disappointing as we had spent similar days in London and Edinberg the management of rooms was definitely different, more attention to hygiene. Thanks,

Lovely property in a central location and close to most attractions. The free tea and coffee at the attached restaurant was a nice bonus. This property is located in a less desirable part of Dublin. While the rooms themselves were clean, they were on the smaller size. The interior of the hotel was worn and had multiple levels & doors to go through which made it hard to navigate. I did appreciate the staff being able to accommodate us checking in 1 hr ahead of official time & their help with information for closest Dublin Express location, Harcourt Lucas (about 8 min. walk) for transport to the airport. We were located in room 105 which was directly next to the bar/restaurant downstairs & one floor up but directly across from multiple crosswalks on a busy street. The windows did not block out much of the noise transmission & we heard the crosswalk countdown clicking EVERY time someone needed to cross the street. We also heard the music & patrons singing on the street outside of the bar downstairs in our room with windows closed. Air conditioning was supposedly set to between 19-23C with room controller to adjust within this range. However, I set it several times without affecting any change to temperature also WiFi is unsecured. On the plus side, bed was comfortable, nice bathroom, elevator available for luggage & felt safe within the hotel. Restaurant downstairs was good with very reasonable prices. Not many other good food choices in neighborhood. Pretty far way from tourist destinations. OK accommodations if on a tight budget. Otherwise look at locations closer the Quay or other side of St. Stephen’s Green.

Loved my four night stay at Keavans Port. The architecture and aesthetic are traditional, yet the amenities are modern. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food is good and coffee/tea are available all day. Very clean and I felt safe. Convenient to St Stephen’s Green and walkable to many good restaurants, pubs, and shopping. Would definitely stay here again!

Since the shower didn’t work they gave us a complimentary breakfast ( cost 4.95 Euros) that was the worst meal I’ve eaten in Ireland for one day and let us check out at 12 instead of 1:00

We liked the eclectic feel of the place. Our room was good, except for the air conditioning was not working well. We asked for somebody to fix it, was told it would be looked at, and no one came to help. We did get a fan late afternoon the second day, so that definitely helped.

This was a great hotel with great amenities and lots of positive things for staying there. I would definitely recommend. My only issue is parking a car so far away and having to catch a taxi with lots of bags in tow. Makes it quite a hassle but I understand why they can't have parking on site

If you get a room facing the street be prepared for a lot of noise as the windows do not block what is coming from the street. The on site bar/pub is convenient, but the food quality is mediocre and ordering is done through an app, so it feels rather impersonal.

A pleasant hotel with a rather unique feature — it shares the building with a well-known pub. The rooms are comfortable and the stay was enjoyable overall. The Irish pub atmosphere that greets you on every trip back to your room is something you won't find in a typical hotel, and it adds a fun, lively touch to the experience. Worth considering if you appreciate a bit of character in your accommodation.

Overall we had a great stay. My biggest complaint however was there was a confusion of room numbers and our couch was pulled out into a bed while we were out. I understand these mixups happen. However what I found especially disturbing and concerning is all of our bags, dirty clothes, etc that had been on the couch were thrown on our bed, sheets, and pillows. From a cleanliness and germ standpoint, I was extremely bothered by this and the treatment of our items.

The Dublin Express stops 300m away from the property and it’s a very convenient airport shuttle. It’s also relatively inexpensive compared to taxis.

This property is much more a busy pub and grill than it is a hotel. There is no luggage help except from reception staff if they’re available, and there is not one elevator that you have to walk through several adjoining buildings to access. Also there is no drop off spot on the street so taxis have to double park and risk getting rear ended just to drop off and pick up there. There is no in room dining / room service and no one cleaned the room even though the door hanger sign was on and the room was unoccupied for the entire day. The TV had no channels available and the only bathroom product was liquid hand soap at the sink and in the shower. It felt much like a nice youth hostel rather than a 4 star hotel. Oh, also the first room I was assigned had a broken AC and a window that wouldn’t open because the electrical mechanism that made this possible was inoperable…and when I had the window in my new room open, at 10pm, I heard a violent interaction right outside in the alleyway between two men and a woman, in which a man threw the woman to the ground and took her phone, running away with the other man. Breakfast choice was limited.. no eggs, no baguettes, no fruit bowl. We do understand the recent blockades for the fuel but no problem elsewhere if you like an egg as part of your breakfast. The bar area is stunning but another let down was the garden courtyard was closed off our whole stay with no explanation. Vapers or smokers were confined to a pathetic postage stamp area downstairs at the back. Some staff were nice but a couple were miserable.

This hotel is lovely, and has a lot of charm and character and it was a pleasant stay. It was convenient for me. However, rather than “do not disturb” as is customary in hotels, this hotel only provides housekeeping service by request. Not understanding this backwards way of doing things, I had no service in the four days I stayed. I’d seen the weak reviews about the hotel breakfast but the place was busy so we gave it a try: breakfast took *over an hour* to arrive at our table and was tepid, not fresh or hot, when it did arrive.

Excellent value for money. Basic but one of the cheapest hotel rooms in Dublin centre. I use it regularly when I need to stay over. Not that old, some room fittings are wearing out surprisingly soon but no complaints. Comfortable good sized rooms, ask for a quieter room at the back. The staff was nice, and I appreciated the room service that made our bed everyday. The food and the drinks at the onsite bar was priced well, and the location of the hotel was great, it was close to public transport and had many food options and shopping close by! I was on the first noise and I didn’t really ever hear any noise from the bar even when one day it was PACKED with college kids, but I did hear a little noise from outside the window. The thing was sometimes it was kinda awkward walking through the bar to our room ha ha, but overall I would stay here again.
