My family of five (two adults and three teenagers) recently stayed three nights here. It was fantastic. Comfortable, roomy, and anything we asked for the staff was happy to accommodate. We stayed at another hotel in Galway and then returned to Dublin to this hotel and was so grateful as the other was not as clean or quiet. I’d highly recommend this hotel for comfort, location, and friendly service. I’d return here any time!

We LOVED our stay at Iveagh Gardens Hotel. It was gorgeous. Beds were beyond comfortable. Shower/bathroom facilities were lovely. Air conditioning was hard to find on our Europe trip and this had it. The staff were lovely & helpful! Parking was however the only downfall, a bit of a trek to their main parking facilities but we were able to store our luggage while dealing with parking. Overall, would absolutely return!

It’s a gorgeous hotel and my room was lovely however it’s a very lively location and I couldn’t sleep until 2.30 until the music in the clubs finished. Also the luas passes right outside and is super loud. Overall I didn’t sleep a wink but it’s a well maintained modern room.

We were in the Iveagh townhouses. The room we had was newly renovated with a lovely bathroom but unfortunately was right on the street side and below street level. We were jet lagged needoan early night. The first problem was noise from the trams whio can be quite loud but stopped at the evening wore on. Unfortunately we didn't know there were multiple night clubs across the street. Around midnight things began to get really crazy. Aside from the thump thump thump from the venue the crowds of young people spilled out into the street. From the noise they were obviously having a great time but it was right outside our window and went on until after 4am. During that time we got almost no sleep. The hotel staff were very understanding when complained and moved us to a room on the back side of the property on our second night but they had to know that noise was going to be an issue. I think we can recommend the Iveagh but nor for rooms on the street side unless it's cold or raining.

Loved everything a cracking hotel in a great location for pubs and eating places. The room was quiet and a good size, bathroom exceptional. The bar is very good serving an excellent pint of guiness. Breakfast is on the more expensive side compared to other hotels however is very nice and value for money. Highly recommended for a city break.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional and always happy to help with any requests. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay.

The location was excellent — close to local attractions, restaurants, and transport links, making it very convenient to get around.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of options, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning in the future.

The hotel is in a nice area. Way too loud at night as there are clubs opposite the hotel. There is no AC just old fans in the rooms. Poor room services when it came to cleaning and amenities .

This was a return trip for me. I recalled it as a lovely and well located hotel. Functional spaces to meet my travel needs. Yikes…the area is well located to night clubs. It was loud late with folks having a blast. Good for them but not those people who needed to sleep. If you need quiet inquire about where in the hotel your room will be relative to the clubs.

I travel to Dublin from time to time for work and I will not be staying here again.
The Iveagh Garden Hotel is undeniably beautiful. It’s stylish, clean, and in a great location. Unfortunately, my stay had one major flaw that overshadowed everything else. I was not expecting to be placed in a room without AC and walled window with only small light near top. Even though it was only 16°C (61°F) outside, my room sat at a stale 24.5°C (76°F) all night. There was no way to get fresh air.

Housekeeping eventually brought me a fan, but only after five hours and two requests. Even then, I barely slept. The room was simply too warm.

I know some rooms do have AC, but I wasn’t given any way to guarantee one when booking. Buyer beware: if temperature control or natural light matters to you, make sure you confirm your room type in advance, if you can. Otherwise, skip this hotel.
The hotel concierge was fantastic. He was helpful with my bags, recommended a great breakfast spot, and made sure I got to the airport on time.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Iveagh Garden hotel for 3 nights and it was the most perfect spot for Dublin first timers. Not only was our room very clean, well maintained, and the staff extremely friendly- the location is SUPERB! Just a few minutes from Grafton Street with all the shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, and walking distance from landmarks like Trinity College. I am super specific and a clean freak when it comes to hotels and Iveagh Garden did not disappoint!

Hotel was in very convenient location (close to Tram stop, many destinations in easy reach) and general condition was very good. I booked a Townhouse Room, not realising it was separate from main hotel (not made clear on booking details) and we had a groundfloor room facing the road. VERY noisy - nightclub directly opposite with lots of noise until 3am and Tram passes right outside window every 15 mins or so. I would avoid those rooms!

It is very close to attractions and public transportation. If you plan on using buses etc. get your LIFT card during regular business hours at a convenience store. Once you get the card life is easier, but there weren't many locations to get them nearby during off hours.

Our room was good size, clean. Maybe the shower could have had a good bleaching . We had to ask for fans for our room as the AC wasn’t working and the windows were too high for us to open . Someone had to come with a ladder to open them.
They had our room ready for an early check in at £25
We were very hungry and the breakfast buffet was about to close , I think they should have given us 50% off the price as we at the end and for example only one piece of toast was left

I stayed in a pod room which I DO NOT recommend. They are in the basement with one window by the ceiling that opens onto the street. Despite cool weather, the room was swelteringly hot. NO air condiotioning. A fan, but in a concrete cell with no ventilation, it just moved the hot air around. The window to the street opens and there is a safety, but could easily be broken into. The window cover is a sliding wooden panel. So, if you leave it open for the air from the window, anyone can look right onto the bed which is built into the wall by the street, plus then light shines through. Completely overpriced for what you get. I liked the cozy size, but couldn't sleep and was roasting. I spoke to many people staying in other rooms and everyone complained about the heat in the building.

Harcourt Street is the clubbing street, so be prepared for noise.

The hotel and room were clean and very nice. However, the hotel is directly across from nightclubs that are noisy until the wee hours (past 4am). The a/c did not work, it blew only warm air which additionally was very irritating to my throat. So we had to open the window, resulting in a very noisy and unpleasant night. The woman at the front desk was completely indifferent- she didn’t really even listen or appreciate what had happened. This was the absolute worst night of our stay in Dublin. And this was a rather pricey hotel! Do not waste your money. I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again.

Whilst the hotel itself self was clean & reception staff helpful. The room itself was situated directly beside large iron gates that create a lot of noise when opening and shutting, also at around 4 am a chorus of cars beeping will most likely wake you up. The room was incredibly (uncomfortably) warm, and because of the noise outside you can’t even open the window, where the same few bugs sat all weekend even after being ‘cleaned’. If your room is 101 I would highly recommend asking for an alternative.

I'm not sure our stay would be representative of this hotel. My wife and I had been in Ireland for nine days before arriving at this hotel and we had stayed at four other highly rated hotels. We were put in one of the town houses that are on either side of the hotel. When we checked in we had to walk out of the hotel walk up six steps into the town house then walk down 15 steps to our room. The room was nice but some what cramped. The window was at street level and looked out onto a brick wall. We had dinner at the hotels restaurant. My wife had the chicken and I had the fish and chips. Both were good but not the best we had. We also had the listen to the Dart ( Dublin's rapid transportation) coming back and forth all night. Something we probably could of gotten used to if we stayed more than one night. The best part of the hotel was it's location. Walking distance to Trinity College and a huge outdoor shopping mall.The staff were pleasant enough but there was a wedding happening in the hotel so they were very busy and had little time for us.

The city pod rooms are in the basement/lower ground level and are not soundproof. They share access with two event spaces which at the time of my stay a private party was being held. You could hear the base and music and people moving around chairs until after midnight. The front desk staff was indifferent and unhelpful. They offered ear plugs which were not effective. There was no warning regarding private parties. No information regarding quiet hours.

The room booked was not kept in good condition and had no AC and the proposed fan did not sufficiently cool the room. Since you are at the bottom of the building it is very hot there is one small window that can open but it is accessible from the outside ground level.

The hotel is on a street with several nightclubs. It’s a relatively short distance to some attractions but there are better and more affordable locations to book from. I only booked this room for one night and it was my last night out before my flight and it was less expensive for the area and it being a weekend night but it wasn’t worth the price for the experience.

The room’s carpet was torn, and so was the chair. There was no mini fridge which isn’t a huge problem but all of the other hotels I booked for this trip (at better rates) had fridges and AC or at least small AC units.

Review for Iveagh Garden Hotel

Very frustrating experience.

I booked two nights but needed to cancel the second night, informing the hotel before check-in on the first day—giving more than 24 hours’ notice. Expedia confirmed this was entirely within the hotel’s control to approve, but the hotel chose not to accommodate and strictly enforced their policy.

This could have easily been resolved and the room rebooked, but there was zero flexibility or willingness to help. I was also sent back and forth between the hotel and Expedia for over 24 hours, and the reservations manager would not speak with me directly.

Be aware—if you book multiple nights, this hotel is unwilling to make adjustments even in reasonable or urgent situations.

I would not stay here again.

Check in was grand, staff were nice but it would have been nice to know that the roads all around were blocked off due to so parking was not possible in the way described on the website.

The description I read said tranquil oasis - I found it to be nothing of the sort with a large party on when I arrived, with music being heard in my room until just after midnight. I just wanted to go to sleep.

The room was lovely (a city pod) larger than expected and with plenty of towels and water - the TV kept switching off and I had to stand on a chair to pull the shutter and window closed, and to reach the towels for some reason (I am 5'4, but the towel shelf was pretty high up the wall), but overall it was comfy, dark, quiet once the party had finished and the bathroom was fresh and clean. Also, nice to have a 12noon check out.

Places like Dublinia, Dublin castle are about 10min walk away and most of the days my family and I just mostly walked.

I’ve stayed here 3 times now and each time the wifi is like dial up from the 90s! It’s super slow and pages take forever to load.
I also had to pay a €25 fee to check in early when I didn’t even ask for an early check in, I simply asked if I could drop my bag and they offered it to me! This was my third stay in the same month, perhaps they could have shown good customer service and waived the fee???
