Very clean throughout. Very spacious rooms and bathroom with a very spacious shower. Extremely comfortable bed. Fantastic layout of room. Lovely to be able to open door to let fresh air in. Kettle, slippers, towels, tea, coffee, biscuits etc provided. Iron board, extra pillows, wardrobe, fridge, tv etc. lovely breakfast and good gluten free section. Facing 3 arena and right beside trams. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, off of our international flight. They enabled us to check-in super early which enabled us to nap and start our holiday in good shape.
We really appreciated that.

Excellent location. 20 minute walk to the Aviva stadium , opposite Arena 3 and tram outside the hotel making it easy to get around the city. Delicious breakfast and efficient bar staff. My only concern is the queue to check in when I had already checked in on line and given instructions on how to collect my room key. However this service was unavailable and i queued for 45mins in reception. The receptionist was not helpful. Just said everyone is in the same situation.

This hotel is ideal for concerts at 3 arena, little expensive across the board ie accommodation, food, extras, but the convenience of it is worth it. Staff are exceptional and luas is in the doorstep..

The overall time we spent at the Gibson fantastic, carpark was just a lift away and walking distance to the 3 arena, the rooms were spotless and are a good sized room, the hotel was a lot bigger than I thought, well planned layoutmy family and I loved our stay at the Gibson and the staff are brilliant the whole time, 100% the onky stop for me when next in Dublin, many thanks😁👍

The hotel was good, however to access the hotel which is on the third floor was frightening. I am scared to death of heights & there were only two ways to access the hotel, either by going on a elevator which was very high & unmanageable for me or to go into a glass lift which was so frightening. Designers should think of these things!!!
I had to be helped into the glass lift by a group of people in order to block the view.

Our stay was comfortable but I was disappointed with the service in the hotel restaurant. Firstly two of the staff who were serving us couldn't understand what we were saying, one waiter walked away not even realising we were asking a question and another waiter didn't understand what we were asking for off the menu. Also 10/15min wait for our drinks order and we had to ask a 2nd time for them .Thirdly, our bill was brought to us before we were even finished. I just think the hotel has an obligation to it's customers to employ staff who have a very good level of english especially if they are dealing directly with customers. The restaurant is way over priced - overall a bad experience in the restaurant.

Our most recent visit (9/10/25) was our second and as enjoyable as our first. Sadly the tram was out of service due to a problem in the city, however a replacement bus was in service and was free👍.
The room was very good and an excellent shower however there was an issue with the sliding shower head which was fixed by the time we returned to the hotel later that day.
Taxis can be arranged by the hotel if required and usually arrive within 10 minutes. The staff on reception were really helpful and informative
We would be more than happy to stay there again.

If I could give negative stars, I would.

The Gibson Hotel in Dublin was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at during my trip to Ireland – and this is my 5th hotel here. Every other property I visited was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The Gibson was the exact opposite.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were cold, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. At check-in, I was handed a key with barely a word and simply pointed toward the lift. No offer to assist with luggage, no information about the hotel, no sense of hospitality whatsoever. Throughout my stay, whenever I passed through the lobby, staff either ignored me entirely or deliberately looked busy to avoid interacting.

I even sat in the lobby for a while just observing, and it wasn’t just me – the staff treated all guests this way. Aloof, uninterested, and uncaring. Hospitality is supposed to be about warmth and service, but here it felt like guests were an inconvenience.

This hotel was the least accommodating, least hospitable, and least welcoming of my entire trip, and it wasn’t even close. Ireland is known for its friendliness and warmth – but you will not find it here.

Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else. I strongly do not recommend the Gibson Hotel.

The hotel was immaculately cleaned. It was welcoming and well laid out. Self check in/out was very user friendly. Room had everything you would need . Bed was sooo comfortable, nice bathroom and had tea/coffee facilities in the room. Common area in the hotel were well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. I travelled with my 8 year old daughter for a concert in the 3arena, which is directly across from the hotel which i found essential when.travelling with a child. We did not eat in the restaurant we choose to eat in 'rubys' which is a.few doors down and is delicious.
Definitely would recommend the gibson in general but if visiting the 3arena its a must.
Also my daughter really enjoyed the glass elevator.

The rooms are old, but clean. They have basic amenities, but you have to ask. They offer a hot breakfast buffet that has a small arrangement of food. The area is quiet and safe. It is close to public transit. Overall, it is alright for a short stay.
