Zanzibar Locke is a lovely place to stay - location wise it’s in the perfect place, easily walkable to most of the core sites. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy and we liked the studio room as there was separation from the bed.

The rooms were well appointed with all the modern amenities. We did not even realize that it had a washer/dryer in the unit. It was in the center of town and all the tours buses were accessible. The location was the absolute best part of this quaint hotel. I would definitely stay there and recommend it to others. Really liked this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and bright. All amenities were provided. The dishwasher in our room didn’t work but the front desk staff did everything they could to get a technician in to fix it while we were there and when they weren’t able to, they removed our dirty dishes and replaced them with clean ones and offered to continue cleaning them for us (which we kindly declined). Instead we were given the opportunity for a late check out at no cost. Any time we approached the front desk staff for assistance, they were helpful and friendly. While we never had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant, the menu looked delicious. The gym was small but well equipped. The location of the hotel was fabulous - close to attractions, shopping, transportation, groceries. Overall, our stay at Zanzibar was great!

I checked in after a long day of traveling. I dropped the bags and went to get some food. When I came back the room was very cold. I couldn’t get the temp. console to work - their technician came and vacuumed the filter through an access panel which he opened in the ceiling. Lots of dust. Yeuch. Throughout, there’s a loud buzzing in the ceiling that sounds like an angry alarm clock, it’s intermittent, then becomes regular, then buzzes randomly. Between that and how cold it is I can’t get to sleep and I’m freezing! I’ve had to put my coat on the bed to stay warm. It’s 1:35 am and while I expect outside noise in the city it’s the interior hotel/ceiling/pipe/electric noises and cold that are keeping me awake. A while ago someone began hammering. Maybe it’s another guest trying to get to the source of the noise?

Close walking distance to many famous bars, stores and sites. There is a grocery store a few minutes away. Staff was very friendly. There is a gate that locks in evening for safety you access with your key. Coffee shop is great too.

This hotel was perfectly located in Dublin. It was clean and the staff were great. We enjoyed the bar and met people from all over the world. Kitchen was not as well-stocked as other places we’ve stayed but was adequate. The washer/dryer combo was terrible. It was tiny and a wash load took at least 2 hours. The dry cycle took HOURS. The extra cost for a room with laundry was not worth it. Other than this, we really enjoyed our stay.

Room was more spacious than expected! We love that there’s a fridge in the room, and kitchenette area. It was also very walkable to a lot of places in the city center. The tv didn’t work for most of our trip, and we weren’t given the WiFi password during check in, and had to specifically ask for one. I also wish they would offer at least one house keeping service but it seems like they would only do it for 7+ days stay.

The pros: Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to shopping, restaurants, pubs, museums, etc. Access to a quick breakfast downstairs and in room kitchenette makes getting a quick snack simple. The cons: Room temperature control did not work in the two rooms we were in. I don't know why but the hotel is hot. Other guests stated their bathroom was like a sauna and we found it difficult to sleep. The windows don't open more than an inch or two and this is the only way to keep the room comfortable even in November. Turning down the heat would be more eco-friendly, comfortable and profitable. The lighting in the rooms is also inadequate.

This was my home base for four nights. The staff checked me in with ease, and early at that. This was much appreciated. The location was ideal near the Ha'penny Bridge. Groceries and restaurants were a short walk away. I utilized the kitchen for several meals as well as the washer and dryer on my last night. Despite proximity to bustling streets, the rooms are quiet during the evenings. The rooms are well considered in layout, design and cleanliness. The bathroom was also a gem. Every staff member encountered was kind and professional.

We were in Dublin for 11 days and the location of the hotel was perfect. We were able to walk to Teeling, Jamison, and Guinness all under 30 minutes. Temple Bar is less then a 5 minute walk and walking to locations for day tour pickups were all less then 15 minutes. Plenty of pubs and shopping around. My only negative is the hotel needs to habe better instructions for use of the washer and dryer in the units. Staff was very friendly and we would definitely stay here again.
