I stayed on the 1st floor and there was a constant noise from the water installation in the walls.
The noise was similar to water leak or open tap.
Very annoying in the night when tried to sleep.
I had to use ear plugs for the entire stay.
I hope it was temporary issue.
No other problems.
The stuff at reception and restaurant breakfast was great.

Overall experience was excellent. Front desk was more than helpful.

One issue...front desk booked our dinner reservation for the restaurant. When we arrived, we were told we had no reservation. Returned to front desk and they straightened it out. However host was rude remainder of the evening and service was beyond terrible. Unfortunately we cannot recommend eating here.

Pretty average hotel in a decent location for attending events at either the Bord Gais Energy Theater or the Dublin Convention Centre. Check-in was efficient, our rooms was ready at 13.30. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. We headed down to the restaurant to grab a quick lunch. We shared a pizza and it was the blandest pepperoni pizza I have ever had. After walking into the city centre (20 mins) for a spot of retail therapy we came back to get ready for our event at the nearby Convention Centre. The shower (in the bath, which I hate anyway) was one of the worst I have experienced. The water pressure was non-existent resulting in the water simply dribbling out of the shower head. Breakfast the next morning was decent, but as we came down late 10.40 (they serve till 11 on weekends), by the time we went get hot food (at 10.50) almost everything was gone and the did not refill any of the exhausted items, which I felt was poor. All in all for the price we paid I was rather disappointed, pity.

Breakfast was very good I must say. There was enough variety come even for us as vegetarians. We didn't spend very much time in the hotel so there isn't much to say about the other facility such as the pool etc and we had little interaction with the staff. The only things that I would say won't the best was the road noise. We were in 311 and the noise from the road was disturbing. There was insufficient pressure from the shower and there was a draft coming from the balcony door. I think it gave me a cold. Aside from that, the hotel was great very nice, there is someone there to help you check in or you can check in online and they will help you get your key. If you don't mind doing a little walking the center is maybe half a mile. If I'm back in Dublin again, I would definitely consider staying here

Location very good, Hotel really clean. Staff pathetic, handing out foot towels instead of bath towels. Asked by restaurant manager to wait 10 min to be seated for dini g reservation. He forgot to come back. Left sitting in the blalllr. Eventulalllly seated and waited 40 min for our order to be taken. Water and drinks arrived at end of the meal.

This is nice hotel, but the only downside is not having a refrigerator in the room. We would take some food to go from the hotel restaurant and it would go bad by the morning due to sitting in the room temperature in our room. Otherwise, the staff, the rooms, the location of the hotel are super nice.

We had a really pleasant stay overall. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made a big difference from the moment we arrived at 1130pm. The bartenders and wait staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. We extended our check out time to 2pm and that was not a problem at all. There was a fee, but comp us for the one extra hour.

The beds were very comfortable, and we slept well each night.

The location is a huge plus, it’s in a newer, modern-feeling part of Dublin that felt safe and easy to navigate. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere, and having the train station just a 5-minute walk away made getting around even easier.

The only downside was the lack of proper climate control in the room. There’s no way to adjust the temperature, and the only airflow comes from opening the windows slightly. The hotel did provide a fan, which helped, and thankfully the room didn’t get too warm during our stay.

Overall, a great stay with a few minor drawbacks. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for the location and service.

No hot water due to maintenance but no one said anything during check-in. A few hours later I came back and went to my room and still no hot water and no notice. The following morning many other rooms on my floor were being renovated. Extremely disappointing to be on a floor under construction and without hot water. This is not a serious hotel and I do not recommend it.

We had multiple mishaps during our stay: a dirty bathrobe, empty body lotion bottle, bugs crawling in the tub, understaffed milk, coffee and bisquites for the second day, and TV wasn’t working. The staff member was trying to fix the TV but could not.
On another hand, breakfast was very good, staff very attentive and allowed us to check in little earlier. The location of the property is handy.
The Spa was another experience with very dirty locker rooms, but a nice hot steam room.

We enjoyed our stay, however after a long day of exploring we really would have liked to chill in our rooms and watch a movie. When we asked about why the tv wouldn’t connect to WiFi staff was a bit rude. Not a huge deal but we were surprised that a big hotel like the Clayton wouldn’t provide a smart tv, the one in the room is basically useless and there for aesthetic

The hotel itself is excellent. The sink in our room was cracked, which was a tiny bit disappointing. Facilities were excellent, as was breakfast. Swimming lessons were on in the pool which meant only 1 lane and half of the open section were available to use. We did have to call down for towels for the third person. FYI swimming hats are compulsory and are €3 to buy at the pool. If this was advertised when the hotel is booked that would be great. Comms in advance weren’t great- I messaged 3 times using the Expedia messaging system and not one reply. Excellent stay- will be back, just a few tiny tweaks to make it 100% from me.

The customer service was brilliant from the moment we arrived. The self check-in was easy and the room was clean and well equipped. Broadband was fast. Over our stay we had breakfast lunch and dinner and all were of a high standard and presented good value for money. Bar is well stocked and not expensive. Great place and look forward to our next visit.

Odd experience. I paid the extra charge for an upgrade to an Executive room and when we got to the room it seemed like a standard room. I spoke with reception and they confirmed that I was in a standard room as no available Executive room was available. If I hadn’t inquired I would have paid for an upgrade without receiving one.

Hotel looked soo much better than it did in the pictures I think it might have been done up very recently.

The entrance is very nice we got a real sense of arrival.

The bar area was very nice to sit in they had a good selection and the pints were really fresh.

We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it one of the best meals I had the whole trip and came out in good time.

The rooms were bigger than expected and housekeeping would come in later which gave us time for a lie in.

The whole place was very clean

The spa and pool was very good and well run I found it strange that we had to wear shower caps when we went out into the pool apparently this is the law in Ireland. The hotel sells them for £3 though which is fairly reasonable.

Overall very nice hotel we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Didnt go for breakfast or the dinner offer that came online €80 for 4 because despite 2 phonecalls and at check in no one could tell me if 1adult and three 16year old kids (my daughter and 2 friends) could avail of offer.
Also for breakfast couldnt tell me if 16 year olds are kids or adults . Bar went to get food at 2.20 saw menu downstairs ,no body was interested in serving us then someone asked from the bar were we okay had said teenagers wanted pasta dishes and i would have curry but was told that was dinner and not available til 3.30pm. We had just arrived were going to a match and wanted to eat early and relax before going.
We went elsewhere to eat but very hard to get a dinner dish at that time by the looks of things . Very disappointed overall in food around the area.

I’ve found the service to be cold, the furniture uncomfortable, and the room to be too hot. I wouldn’t go back to this hotel brand or location again.

That being said, I can see why some folks would find it delightful, the room was quite large and the pool was a nice treat.

All in all not a winner for me.
