This property was ok - just ok.
The staff all seem very unhappy in their roles generally - only smile I saw was one day at breakfast from the lovely gentleman seating us.
Breakfast was a let down - the food was cold / had a skin on / few vegetarian options. Just not great. Day one I only had toast, day 2 I didn’t bother.
The rooms although similar to the photos aren’t to the high standard the photos make you think they are. Lovely large bathroom but the shower tray was too shallow so leaked all over the floor.

We were giving ground floor room, room was spotless. Maid was in everyday, new towels and resetting the room. There was a lift from the car park and to other floors. Found the hotel central to shops and bars just a short walk. Staff were lovely chatty and helpful if needed. We booked for breakfast as was hot cooked breakfast and continental to. Which suited us. We would highly recommend the hotel will return if we decide to go back to dublin

Checking in with regards to parking was a bit of an ordeal. We were glad parking was available (even if it was an extra cost) but directions on how to access the parking were limited and took three visits back to the desk to get it sorted out. Very glad I am active and have no mobility issues!

The hotel was quiet overall, however our room overlooked a small courtyard and you could hear people coming and going with the loud banging of the gate late into the night. The hotel was very well located for walking into Dublin and access from the airport buses. The room was quiet and beds comfortable, water plentiful and hot and the room service was good. What made the stay special for us was to be greeted by cheerful, smiley Colin every morning at breakfast time. This was in contrast to the staff at reception who rarely smiled and were austere. We would have eaten our evening meal more often at the hotel but the menu did not change and some parts were unavailable, and also it could be quite a noisy environment not a restaurant environment.

I have three words to describe this place: dark, dank and dirty. This is essentially an overpriced Motel 6. As soon as I opened my room door, I was hit with a mustiest odor ever. The room smelled stale, like there was stagnant water nearby.
The housekeeping is abysmal and they don't thoroughly clean. When I checked in, I immediately spotted multiple stains on the wall (looked like old food) that weren't cleaned. I also killed a bug on my first night which left a mark and that mark stayed there my entire stay. The bathroom was rotten. The shower and bathroom floor were moldy and full of mildew and dark stains.
There were also other small things that annoyed me: they didn't provide body lotion or a hair dryer which is weird for a supposed 4-star hotel. The street was pretty loud but that was the least of my concerns. I can't believe I payed $250/night for such an absyssmal place.

We were two families and we did not enjoy our stay at the hotel. Firstly, the staff was nice and accommodating and appreciate all their assistance. The property itself is substandard. In line with other comments, we were baffled that this hotel does not have air conditioning, first time I have faced this in Europe. The hotel rooms were not really clean, the bed had a hole, the bed moved on it's wheels with little effort and the toilet roll holder was broken. The cost was high for essentially a 1 star hotel non maintained hotel.

Worst of all, although out of hotel control, there were tennager gangs launching fireworks at bikes and people, on front of the hotel. The hotel staff was helpless and no police ever came. Hopefully this was a one off incident.

I recommend families to stay away from this hotel.

We booked this hotel for our last night in Ireland before flying home and I really wish I had done more research about the area. Looking at it from a map, we thought we were close to some attractions but as we walked to our hotel with our young children, we did not feel safe. The locals kept us awake overnight as they were letting off fireworks.

At first glance, the room looked ok but as we had more time we noticed spots in the bathroom that were not clean and the pillow looked mouldy.

This property advertised a/c and it was only in certain rooms. Then the power went out for hours. We had to change locations and we were past the cancellation period and the hotel did not work with us. No refund at all. They had plenty of people in town for the American college football game, so I’m sure they were able to resell the room once the power came back on. I am not impressed with the place at all. Service people were overwhelmed and not kind. I will not stay at this location. Or any other Maldron if possible. I specifically was looking for hotels that had air conditioning because otherwise the rooms get stuffy and they had them in part of the rooms. I felt like that was false advertising as it was the first I looked for. I am going to try to recover some of the money through insurance, but I am not hopeful. They indicated at the time the power was out that we would be refunded, because t when Expedia reached out- they denied our request.

Hotel was nice and staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner (but I recognize I’m a clean freak). The bed was a little too firm for me but my husband loved it. The hotel has no central A/C (like the majority in the country) but the staff has fans ready to hand out. They held all of all bags (5 in total) for us well past check-in time with no complaints. Within walking distance (a few minutes) of great restaurants, local sites, and the Pearse Station.

Our stay was for 2 nights. Staff was nice and breakfast included was a great thing to have. Walkable distance to Trinity College. Mass transit readily available and close to nearby sites. The room was mediocre as we had a toilet that at first didn't flush and a sink in which the water seemed clogged and took forever to drain. We had asked the front desk about this and they promised maintenance to fix but upon coming back, the issue with the sink persisted and didn't get resolved. The toilet finally flushed, however. No AC in our room even though the ground floor rooms had. Not a big deal since the weather didn't warrant it but worth mentioning. I wouldn't mind staying again, but not for the price we paid.

Maldron Pearse was the most mediocre stay of my 3 different hotels on a recent trip in and out of Dublin. Everything is thrown together very cheaply. The bed rolled away from my senior mother. The breakfast was mediocre and over priced. The front desk staff have 0 personality/effort (with a couple exceptions) double rooms did not have AC and were very stuffy. King rooms had HVAC. Lift was broken for hours on day of checkout and we had to carry all belongings down 3 flights of stairs. Area is walkable somewhat, but there are better spots to be based out of in the city for similar or better pricing.

Very poor value. $385 per night for a very average room. Parking was 15 euros per night additional cost. I inquired about offsite parking options and was given no answer. No fridge in room. Despite knowing that there was a family of 4 staying in the room with two (small) double beds, they only put two bath towels in the room. I called front desk to request two additional towels and they said we would have to come and get them. I would expect this poor level of service from a much cheaper hotel. Not good.

The issues we had with the room was the wood rot because of shower water spillage.
Been happening for quite some time. We could never get cold water. Even on cold setting it was like warm.

The listing says they have laundry facilities which in my experience means they have a guest coin laundry on site. Very disappointing that they don’t have amenities listed. Tried to convince me to pay $5+ an item and have it come back a couple days later from a service (ridiculous) asked the maid for clean towels and she didn’t want to give them to me because she wasn’t at my room yet and it wasn’t on her room list. This was after having the card out asking for service for over 6 hours. Worst hotel I’ve been at in Ireland.

The Hotel was well situated for Pearse Street Station and fairly close to the riverside areas with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was clean with free water and biscuits. The bed was very comfortable just one minor issue was that the beds were on wheels so did move with minor movements. Other than that a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Walkable location but not immediate to any services. Staff were rude when we hadn’t checked out at 11am despite pre-paying €20 for late checkout. they could have handed their error much better.
Rooms average. Property was well maintained for what it is. Security guards at convenience store and doors locked before 10pm left us questioning the area, but nothing specifically made us feel unsafe.

It provided an accessible room with all the necessary amenities. The staff everywhere was helpful, friendly and had good advice. I felt well taken care of and welcome. I wanted battered fish and chips and there was no place near but the restaurant version was excellent and even had delicious mushy peas. Exactly what I crave.

This hotel was in walking distance, even for me, of my great nephew's flat. That is why I chose it. But it is also centrally located but away from the hustle and bustle.

One suggestion that duvets can be too warm in summer and a sheet under it would be helpful for those of us who run hot.

Really nice hotel. Just an 8min walk from Dublin Express Trinity stop (if thats how ur coming) Catch busses into town - Bus 4 or C4 or not too far walk from Fleet Street where the famous temple bar is and some lovely places and allyways to visit. Staff are nice and polite, reception same and they can book you taxis if needed. Rooms nice and well maintained. When i come back i'll be looking to stay here again. I recommend this place.

The room was big and very clean, the shower is dated and the handle came away in my hand, all marking have been warn away so if your not familiar with this type of shower it might be difficult. There were no toothpaste, shower cap etc.
The morning breakfast was nice apart from the sausages. They were either gone off or just a bad taste.
