No proper temperature control in the room. Thermostat on the wall was locked so that temperature couldn’t be changed. 21 degrees Celsius in a hotel room is too hot and stuffy for me to sleep well.

In place of being able to change the thermostat there was a small portable air purifier type machine, with clear instructions on how to use it except that the remote to control it was also not available and it was tethered to its spot in the room so it couldn’t be relocated. All you could do with it was turn it on and let it blow cooler air across the room from the hallway to the bathroom. It was hard set to 10 degrees Celsius, again with no available way to alter the temperature or the speed of the blower, which was fairly loud as it turned out.

Add in uncomfortable beds. So I did not get anywhere as close to a good night’s sleep that I really needed before getting on a 11 hour flight the next morning!

Very disappointing experience!

Buffet breakfast was bland and mediocre as well.

The hotel seemed like a circus you can't get a refund for. It was noisy the second you walked through the door, to the moment you need to get up for a semi early flight. The front desk staff, even though there were three, couldn't definitively answer any questions and seemed agitated any time you asked something. This was true of both locations since we accidentally went to the wrong one the first time. Before our stay, we had also accidentally booked twice due to a lag in the receipt and even though it was obviously a duplicate charge/room, they refused to refund one of the two and we ended up having to dispute it via credit card causing the third party we went through to eat the cost. This shows the lack of empathy this hotel and those in charge of it have. The toilet flushed with so much force it was like a fountain and you can hear it in the rooms around you adding to the cacophony of sound everywhere. The hotel itself sits far away from any convenience so you are forced to eat in the dirty, slow service restaurant full to beyond capacity of loud guests and sticky furnishings. I waited to write this review so I wouldn't take the days frustration out here, meaning I would have added more, if you can believe it, but even now I feel what happened at this hotel still sits fresh in my mind as the disaster at the end of an otherwise amazing first visit to Ireland. The only nice thing I can say is the grounds outside were nice. Buyer Beware: Rest at this place is impossible.

I had stayed here in hope that the four stars was a good sign. On the first day I ordered food from the hourglass bar and restaurant. They brought my starter and main course out at the same time they then took the main back and instead of cooking my steak fresh for when I wanted it they reheated the original one which made the steak very chewy and unpleasant. I then used the restroom to the left of the lobby and it was a mess (I have taken pictures).
My room was supposed to be a superior queen bed… it was a double bed. The bathroom door had obviously been broken down and was held back together with screws which I caught my coat on. The shower was dirty and the cleaning overall was below a three star standard. I believe that the four stars that it has on the building was from a while ago as the standards set this weekend was a more of a two star. I will not be staying there again. The price was really high for this when I could get a budget hotel with the same standard

Bar food was very slow. We waited at least 45 mins for our food. Steak was practically cold and poor quality too.
Breakfast was low quality. Fully self service with no choice of coffees.
Dissapointing for a 4star hotel.

The parking area was really safe. The room was excellent and the evening meal was really good. The breakfast was ok but the bacon on both mornings was not good as it had been kept hot and gone hard. The bad: Our room was abysmal - everything was dusty, there was dust and spider webs in the corners, the chairs had gross stains on them, the TV remote barely worked, phones didn't work, the bed was hard as a rock/super uncomfortable, and few of the outlets didn't work and looked risky.

The good: staff was very friendly and good was good.

We won't stay at this hotel again.

We thought we were getting a room with a separate shower but we didn’t. The tub (for taking a shower) was very slippery and narrow. Other than that, the room was spacious and clean, staff was very helpful, bed was comfy. We thought we left something behind in our room and Steven was very helpful and seemed concerned that we find it. He made multiple trips to the room to try to find it. Not many employees would do that. Thankfully we found it. I would recommend this hotel.

Needed a fan and took 2 days to get it. When we used the fan it was so loud, I had to turn it off.We were put in a handicap accessible room, the shower was awful, water everywhere and the shower heads didn’t work properly. The thermostat was not user friendly, so our room was very warm. Flushing the toilet was an issue as well. Not impressed and wouldn’t stay there again.

EXCELLENT quick stay to be near Dublin Airport for early morning flight. We were in late and out early, but every service point was outstanding. Room was spacious and comfortable, and it was awesome to have Irish, US (110) and European outlets. Highly recommend as an overnight before flying - and only 20 minutes to Departures in the early morning.

Where to begin.

From the moment we checked in, I knew we had made a horrible mistake. After a three week European adventure, we wanted to stay in a four star. To be honest, I would only give it one for the kind and compassionate housekeeping staff.

The front desk staff and managers are rude and inconsiderate. They ignored multiple requests to fix air conditioning (which they admitted to knowing was in need of service) and refused ti bring us a fan for over 24 hours.

Being in the hospitality industry, they should reevaluate how the guest is the focus of their work. As nothing about our experience made us feel welcomed.

The ignorant and rude check out was the cherry on top of a horrible experience. Don’t waste your money, stay somewhere else.

The site description said the room had a separate bath and shower, however my room had only a bath/shower combo.
