Great location with multiple dining and shopping options in walking distance. Very good breakfast. Each time I’ve been there there has been large groups drinking for hours in the bar with children running wild, not a nice atmosphere. Rooms are dated and worn but beds are very comfortable.

Room: stayed in 305 could have a fresh coat of paint , toilet was dirty, there was little hot water when using in the morning.

Club vitae: changing rooms in both the ladies and gents were very dirty, and in a state a disrepair the skirting and door frames the timber is rotting, showers very dirty and bad odours overall in the changing facilities.

Breakfast: very overpriced for a buffet, i would expect a fresh to order breakfast for the price. kids pricing was very expensive for breakfast however over there was good variety of food. (Continental and fresh fruit)

Hotel allowed me to check in early. Unfortunately the shower in the room was broken. I asked reception if there was another available and the moved me straightaway. The staff on reception and in the bar could not have been nicer. Very nice hotel, very close to shopping mall and just off M50, so only a 15 drive to airport. Would definitely stay again.

from the start this hotel lets you down, from the dirty entrance at carpark area to the lobby where there is not enough staff at front desk. I had used their automated check in option online & had pre-paid my room & was assigned a room etc., only to find that the two automated check in desks were just switched off, nobody bothered to put a sign on them to say out of order? and the queue to check in was long and slow. Our room was basic with stains on the carpet & a toilet that was not being cleaned properly, you could see the brown stains in bowl. The room was noisy & you could hear guests upstairs scraping furniture, I was woken a few times & in frustration ended up phoning reception to see if they could figure out what all the noise was about, they

I stayed in Room 405 and the staff were genuinely helpful throughout my visit. Unfortunately, the room had a strong, unpleasant stench that hit all of us the moment we entered. Strangely though, once everyone was in their own beds, nobody else could smell it—except for me. The smell lingered right around my area, and it was so overwhelming that I couldn’t sleep properly. I even had to move to the bottom of the bed to get away from it. This was even after a lovely staff member came up to spray the room and the area beside my bed.
On a more positive note, breakfast was quite nice. However, the large, unattractive container under the juice machine was pretty off-putting. I wanted an orange juice, but seeing that setup really put me off. The Nutella machine, on the other hand, was a cool and enjoyable touch.
Overall, the staff were great and breakfast had its highlights, but the strange room odor affected my stay.

I travel to Dublin frequently for work, and after staying at the Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley five times now, I can confidently say this place has become my go-to — not just for the comfortable rooms, great pool, and convenient parking, but because of the food.
I’m not a chef, but I am a foodie. I know when a dish has been prepared with love — and when it hasn’t. Every single time I’ve eaten here, I’ve been blown away by the consistency, presentation, and most of all, the flavour. Tonight, I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Ian, and it all suddenly made sense. You can taste the passion that goes into every plate that leaves his kitchen.
This isn’t your typical “hotel restaurant” where food is just plated and served. There’s real creativity and care behind every dish — from starters to desserts. I’ve made my way through the entire menu by now, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re recognised with a culinary award or a rosette in the near future.
If you’re staying at the Clayton Liffey Valley, you’ll probably have a drink and end up dining here — and trust me, you’ll be glad you did. The food is a solid 10/10, bursting with flavour and personality. A total delight of a restaurant that deserves to be celebrated

I had stayes at your airport location and felt that this location was not as good. In comparison the room was basic .... half put together, a terrible smell in the bathroom .... a hole/tole missing of the wall in the bathroom ..... the tv did not work on Saturday. So wont be back there.

Breakfast was totally manic! Too many people, not enough staff, no replenishing food when it ran out, coffee machines not working properly and tables too close together to get back to your seat. At least 4 other guests who spoke to me were not happy with their breakfast experience either, so not just our family. The bedroom is comfortable and clean but to put our family in 2 rooms at opposite ends of the hotel was not acceptable, given I requested rooms close together well in advance. Would I recommend this hotel? Sadly not based on our family experience this weekend.

Check in took 25minutes. Large queue. System was down i think. No communication from staff. Room is dirty. Hairs on one bed, floor mot hoovered. Sweets amd bottle cap on floor. Coloured runner on bed has stains o it. No heating turned on all night.
Food in restaurant was lovely. Took way too long to pay, card machine wasn't working.

The front desk staff were okay and buffet staff were good. I did have to call a few times to request basic toiletries such as towels and toilet paper and had some push back. I also waited about an hour or more to get those items. The hotel is dated, not very clean and rooms are not equipped with a microwave. The staff at the front desk were less than helpful with warming my food (I was also travelling with a toddler)

The swimming facility is dirty and smells very bad. I booked this hotel for the sole purpose that the pool looked excellent for my toddler swimming. We went once and never went back. Very disappointing. The beds were never made, the sink and bathtub were not the cleanest.

There’s a big shopping centre nearby, but that’s pretty much it. You’re better off staying in Dublin City Centre. The staff were also not helpful when asking for directions regarding buses or taxis.

In closing, I will say that I will never be back to this hotel and I do not recommend. The only good thing about here was the breakfast buffet and a few staff members.

The one thing that stuck out was we had thought-mistakeningly-that there was an airport shuttle to the hotel and when we got on the shuttle I clearly asked the driver if he was going to the liffey valley location and he nodded. There is no shuttle for the liffey valley location, he took us and several other ppl to a location and then shrugged when we asked why-when we all asked him separately-he said he was going to the Liffey Valley location and whatever other location the other guests were going to. He then stood by the doors and laughed with his friend-another Clayton employee-about the fact that we had all be brought to the long location and said \"It happens every day.\" Thats a problem and I would not stay with Clayton again because of that interaction/situation.

When we booked a weekend away for my son’s birthday we had no idea that there was an NFL game that same weekend, so we were limited for choice and price. The hotel seemed a reasonable option but in hindsight all prices in Dublin were probably inflated - we live and learn! It’s a 20-minute taxi into central Dublin from the hotel and taxis aren’t cheap so I don’t think we saved anything being that far out. The hotel is big, the beds and bedding were comfortable but we found food under our beds from previous guests, and bottles and glasses from when we checked in on Thursday were still in our room when we checked out on Sunday. We got new towels which were big and fluffy (with the exception of 1) every day even when we hung up ones we were happy to reuse but a wet bath mat was left sitting on the end of the bath. Windows were more sound-proof than internal doors and black out curtains would’ve been really effective if we weren’t listening to doors creaking (ask for higher number rooms eg not *01 nearest the lifts). Staff were friendly although the check-in/check-out process means there is little need to interact with anyone. Your room key gives you access to floors and lifts so all very secure. Liffey Valley shopping centre is 15-minutes walk away, or a short drive if you’re lucky enough to get parking.

The pool facilities are honestly shocking.
The worst I have ever seen.
Rotting wood, lockers missing doors, floors filthy.
Lifeguards we're rude and shouty at guests yet fine with their friends (they knew each other's names) coming straight from the sauna and diving into the pool.
Another man was exfoliating poolside.
The whole experience was gross.
The hotel itself was passable lobby area is modern but the rooms were dated.
260 quid per night plus parking.
I won't be back.

Our bedroom was dusty and with a faulty light, you can hear all of the noise from the other bedrooms the body wash provided was not enough for 3 days for 2 people the tv wasn’t working properly and the property itself can’t be 4 stars hotel, very tiny pool with bathroom and shower facilities broken and dirty. The city bus from Dublin stops in front of the hotel. At night it's about 20 mins to the hotel from Dublin center. During the day from hotel to Dublin is 45 mins. There is a shopping mall with a good theatre walking distance from hotel. I did not use the pool. Part of the hotel was under construction but I was not in this area. The security was very good.

Stayed here as we had some family things to do in Dublin. Took a larger room for two adults and three kids and couldn’t be happier with the setup and the facilities.

Check-in was easy and swift.

Room service is via an app which could do with better expectation management but the service overall was great.

Room door left ajar all day by hotel staff

I arrived at night time after a long drive abd after checking in was told to go out the front door of the hotel in the dark and walk to end of all the buildings to find my apartment, despite having booked a room in the hotel. The apartment had a broken lock on the balcony door and I’d to wait while different porters had to come to my room to try and fix it. It couldn’t be fixed so I’d to move to another apartment, carrying all my luggage as the staff walked ahead of me not even offering to carry anything. I was gone the next day from 8am to 9pm and on my return the new key cards wouldn’t let me into the apartment block so I’d to go back to reception. When I did arrive back to my apartment/room the door was completely open and looked like the cleaners had left my door open all day with all my personal belongings inside. I rang reception who told me there was no manager available and they would ring me back. I never received a call back. Serious security issues at this hotel, I would advise solo female travellers not to stay here.
