Overall a good stay.
The cleaner came in early in the morning while we were in the room- that was a little weird. She didn't even acknowledge us she just looked at us then left.
We had some trouble with the toilet flush- it was quite old and seemed like cistern trouble over user error. I mentioned this on check out and they logged it for maintenance.
The restaurant was excellent- good service, good prices, good atmosphere.
The pool was an experience- I didn't know you have to wear swim caps in all Irish swimming pools so we had to rent some from reception. Then it was only open certain hours and it's also used for local swimming lessons so it was heaving with kids and parents - so overwhelming from a sensory perspective. I wish they had this clarified on the website as I chose this hotel for the pool but wouldnt of it I thought it would be that chaotic.
The hotel itself was quite nice- clean, quiet, great bar.
Parking incurred a cost- 20€ for 2 days. Lots of people use the carpark and their parking ability is dubious!!! Prepare for people parking well over the lines and at weird angles!

We were really late getting to the hotel as our flight was delayed had trouble with our car. That was no trouble and the man at reception was very pleasant. Room was lovely and modern and clean with hairdryer, iron and board, safe etc. Got up early to get breakfast which was lovely only to discover our car wouldn’t start again when we were leaving. A gentlemen named Josh at reception was so helpful. He did everything for us to try find someone with jump leads to help us out. When he did eventually get jump leads, he came down to the car park himself and got our car going. He was just so polite and helpful and couldn’t have been any nicer. He was made to work with people. Such a lovely experience to get from something that could have been so bad for us. Thank you Josh! We are forever grateful.

I was here on an 4 day business trip. The hotel was very busy on a couple of mornings - with some long queues for the breakfast at 6.30am! Outstanding features - the staff, the pool and the parking. The hotel room was rather like stepping back into the 80’s and plenty of things didn’t work or lacked tlc which for the price of the rooms isn’t brilliant…..sockets not working, tv occasionally no signal, no running cold water in the kitchen tap, shower curtain in the bath which hugs you to death, parking barrier worked 3/8 times- however the positives outweigh the niggles and the pool is brilliant and above all the staff went above and beyond! Would I come back again - Yes - which is the true benchmark.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our 10 day stay in Ireland. It was convenient to drive into Dublin and nearby towns. Self parking was $10 daily and we had no trouble finding spots. The hotel was walking distance to a mall and across from Starbucks. We would stay again if visiting Ireland.

I picked this property as we are a couple traveling with our 2 young adult children. The family room was idea in giving the kids separate beds while saving money by sharing 1 room. The room was large enough that we did not feel crowded. We also enjoyed having free access to the health club and enjoyed the restaurants on site.

We had a good overall stay for our last night in Dublin. Our room could use some additional cleaning. Ex wall of small bed dirty. Also our mini fridge was not working.

Underground and on ground parking available - pay per day. Pool and gym were part of a health club so swim lessons were going on while kids used pool. Room had a fridge, only hotel we found with this while visiting Ireland. Close to airport and could walk to large mall nearby with food options.

When we got to our supposedly upgraded room, it hadn’t been cleaned. The pull-out couch bed still had old sheets on it & there was bits of food all over. The bath had no towels except for a couple hand towels. The kitchen had no paper towels or dish soap. The trash cans were so tiny that you could only fit a couple items in there. The one in the bath had a step on pedal to raise the lid & it was broken, so we had to touch the lid to open it. The rug was dirty & stained. The living room with the pull out couch had unwelcoming furniture that was very uncomfortable. It also had blank wall & no cozy sitting-very cold!
Dinner on the first night was terrible!
The only good thing was the breakfast-lots to choose from & also good.
I would not suggest to anyone to stay there!

This was a fantastic hotel! The beds were so comfortable. We loved the water bottles and chocolates left out for us! The breakfast selection was fantastic. The only thing that caught us by surprise was the paid parking. We highly recommend it as a place to stay!

The room we booked for a family as there was 3 of us (all adults). When we got to the room, it wasn’t clean, the pull out couch had dirty sheets on it & there was little pieces of candy, cereal, etc all over the bed & floor. Even if the carpet had been vacuumed, it was stained & no way could you walk on it barefoot. The bathroom had only a couple small hand towels & no toilet paper, & the lid on the tiny garbage can did not open with the foot bed al. The living room was very unfriendly looking & the skimpy furniture not comfortable. My daughter, who slept on the pull out couch, said it was the most uncomfortable bed she’s ever slept in. The kitchenette had no paper towels or dish soap & the garbage can was to skimpy, you could
only put a couple of items in there.
Breakfast was good, however, but probably the only good thing about this hotel.

Hotel was very secure and rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious with a large choice of foods which were replenished frequently. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Near to Liffey Stores with
Cinema and restaurants and handy for onward travel. Hotel was generally quiet except on Saturday night when party/music/voices went on until 3.30am. As there are also no temperature controls in room or air conditioning we had to keep window open as it was too warm. Staff had also left window open when preparing room which is fine but air conditioning would have meant we could close the window and dampen the sound. Would definitely use hotel again but very cautious about the noise. Was also charged extra parking fee on way out as we didn’t have time to go back in to query so we just had to pay it.

The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and tasty, clean room and great amenity.
The only two issues I had was this constant stench in my bathroom room 630 . I think may be a plumbing issue . Also is it possible for the hotel to change to disposable toilet brushes instead of the regular toilet brushes?
Above all I will say the hotel is ok for proximity to all places especially if you don't have a car.

We are older travelers and they put us too far away from lobby bar restaurant in main entrance big walk for us. The hot tub was broke for us stay. We were on the floor with tons of children hard for us to sleep.

The staff was courteous and kind food was very much acceptable who we booked through Expedia. They told us this hotel was downtown Dublin. It was 20 minutes into town. The hotel itself was acceptable for the price.

The hotel general condition of the hotel and pool has gone downhill significantly in the past 4 years since our last stay.

The room itself was fine and in good condition but everywhere else looked tired and needed a refresh. The pool changing rooms were especially poor.

The bar was really overcrowded in the evening to the point we gave up trying to find a table and headed straight to our room.

The baby cot was dropped at the room after request to reception. Cot was super dirty and had to ask for a new one. Room was very smelly and the hotel looked a bit run down. Very noisy was well and we could hear all the noise from a neighbouring motorway. However the staff was very friendly and attentive.
They sorted the cot issue in an instant and made the experience a bit more pleasant

room was amazing but it was windy and the room was cold and the wind was howling through the patio doors as they didn't lock due the door being broken also some of the bulbs in the bathroom needed replacing and heard unusual noises which can only be described as a rodent trying to eat away at the wood paneling. Second time i have stayed here and the first time was a great experience but the second stay has put me off somewhat. Stay out of room 730!

Room: stayed in 305 could have a fresh coat of paint , toilet was dirty, there was little hot water when using in the morning.

Club vitae: changing rooms in both the ladies and gents were very dirty, and in a state a disrepair the skirting and door frames the timber is rotting, showers very dirty and bad odours overall in the changing facilities.

Breakfast: very overpriced for a buffet, i would expect a fresh to order breakfast for the price. kids pricing was very expensive for breakfast however over there was good variety of food. (Continental and fresh fruit)

Hotel allowed me to check in early. Unfortunately the shower in the room was broken. I asked reception if there was another available and the moved me straightaway. The staff on reception and in the bar could not have been nicer. Very nice hotel, very close to shopping mall and just off M50, so only a 15 drive to airport. Would definitely stay again.

from the start this hotel lets you down, from the dirty entrance at carpark area to the lobby where there is not enough staff at front desk. I had used their automated check in option online & had pre-paid my room & was assigned a room etc., only to find that the two automated check in desks were just switched off, nobody bothered to put a sign on them to say out of order? and the queue to check in was long and slow. Our room was basic with stains on the carpet & a toilet that was not being cleaned properly, you could see the brown stains in bowl. The room was noisy & you could hear guests upstairs scraping furniture, I was woken a few times & in frustration ended up phoning reception to see if they could figure out what all the noise was about, they

I stayed in Room 405 and the staff were genuinely helpful throughout my visit. Unfortunately, the room had a strong, unpleasant stench that hit all of us the moment we entered. Strangely though, once everyone was in their own beds, nobody else could smell it—except for me. The smell lingered right around my area, and it was so overwhelming that I couldn’t sleep properly. I even had to move to the bottom of the bed to get away from it. This was even after a lovely staff member came up to spray the room and the area beside my bed.
On a more positive note, breakfast was quite nice. However, the large, unattractive container under the juice machine was pretty off-putting. I wanted an orange juice, but seeing that setup really put me off. The Nutella machine, on the other hand, was a cool and enjoyable touch.
Overall, the staff were great and breakfast had its highlights, but the strange room odor affected my stay.

I travel to Dublin frequently for work, and after staying at the Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley five times now, I can confidently say this place has become my go-to — not just for the comfortable rooms, great pool, and convenient parking, but because of the food.
I’m not a chef, but I am a foodie. I know when a dish has been prepared with love — and when it hasn’t. Every single time I’ve eaten here, I’ve been blown away by the consistency, presentation, and most of all, the flavour. Tonight, I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Ian, and it all suddenly made sense. You can taste the passion that goes into every plate that leaves his kitchen.
This isn’t your typical “hotel restaurant” where food is just plated and served. There’s real creativity and care behind every dish — from starters to desserts. I’ve made my way through the entire menu by now, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re recognised with a culinary award or a rosette in the near future.
If you’re staying at the Clayton Liffey Valley, you’ll probably have a drink and end up dining here — and trust me, you’ll be glad you did. The food is a solid 10/10, bursting with flavour and personality. A total delight of a restaurant that deserves to be celebrated

I had stayes at your airport location and felt that this location was not as good. In comparison the room was basic .... half put together, a terrible smell in the bathroom .... a hole/tole missing of the wall in the bathroom ..... the tv did not work on Saturday. So wont be back there.
