Very bad experience!
Hotel was not very clean looking. Carpet on hallway was wet & stinky. Breakfast tasted funny. No shampoo in room. Ice machine out of order. Could not get ice or watter. Pool was out of order. Old coffee was left in coffee machine. Internet service was very poor. Kept loseing signal. Jill the front lady was the only thing good about this hotel. She was very nice. Never Again!

Pool closed down halfway through the stay, breakfast was basically waffles, and you probably don't want to use the milk for cereal, and it's a crapshoot whether you get coffee, cold coffee, or no coffee.

Now in saying that, the room was clean, the staff was nice, and it was safe and pretty convenient. And you don't have really any other options in the area. I'd stay again, especially since it's the closest hotel to Little Switzerland ski resort, and there are plenty of restaurants and things to do in such a small town.

Tub in our room did not drain after one shower. The carpeting was ripped in multiple spots and look to be about 30 years old with stains. The room was not kept up well at all. I paid for an executive suite and got a room with two queen beds. It’s only worth about $50 to stay here per night and I had to pay 200 Wyndham should really be checking their properties better. I’m not really sure why there was even a phone book in the room from 2018 that was ripped anyway not that anyone uses them anymore. I actually took pictures of all the issues, but I don’t see anywhere. I can download them on here.

The rooms were clean and the front desk personnel were great!

They were in the middle of minor updates but it didn’t bother us. There was plenty of food options close by so the kids were happy.

We had an excellent stay. We were put in a pet friendly room and there was a faint scent of wet dog. Maybe it was just me since I seen the sign pet friendly. Otherwise the room was super clean! We had a very restful night. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. We had a great stay!

The selection of accommodations in this area - near premier golf courses - is lacking. We stayed due to proximity to the course but I felt that this hotel was dirty and in need of major renovation. The carpet was stained, the blinds didn’t close fully {and we happened to be on the first floor overlooking a wooded area} and it smelled musty. There were several areas in the hallways were carpet was wet and they had dehumidifiers running. Dark and dingy is how I’d sum it up. I also didn’t like staying in a “pet friendly” room - that grossed me out as well. Staff was friendly, location close to many things but hotel needs a major overhaul unfortunately.

Room booked was pet friendly, called hotel to verify room was pet friendly & on 1st floor told it was, upon check in told room wasn't pet friendly & wanted to charge me an additional $300. When I requested my money back the man at the desk got my pet allowed. Breakfast was bad (sausage tasted funny), couldn't eat it, went to McDonald's for breakfast, coffee was cold, room needed updating, bathtub was patched, carpet well worn, closet smelled bad & key card wouldn't unlock doors. Pictures are better than what the property actually looks like. This hotel is not worth what they charge!

This property was once a wonderful property, clean, great breakfast, well kept. We have stayed in it often over 20 years. Now, the breakfast is more limited. The hash.browns mushy. The hallways are hot and humid. At least this time they have dehumidifiers in the hallways.

When for a get away with my wife. Hotel is very run down and need work ASAP! Hot tub in pool area was broken, pool table was broken, pool was cloudy and very chlorinated!

Floor in check in area were either dirty or wet. Didn't feel comfortable enough to stay the night. Won't be back.

We booked the hotel because it was supposed to have a bar so we didnt have to leave to enjoy an evening drink. Also the directory said we could have the front desk call a taxi for us and we were told that was unavailable. Other than that the bed was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. I didn't request a ground floor room but when I got there I stated if a ground floor room is available it would be preferred, they said none were available and that was fine I forgot to state my preference, my knees are bad and so I struggle with stairs. This would be no issue if they hotel were full, both mornings of my stay the same one person and only 2 cars in the lot. I don't know if it is just a lot of work to switch a room after paperwork is printed but I don't believe they couldn't accommodate my request, as I said I had no problem at check-in that they couldn't accommodate but the hotel was empty

For the price this was incredible. It's not new or done out with modern lines and pristine looks,but what it does have is a big room, a/c, fridge, coffee making facilities, free breakfast (waffles, yoghurt etc), free parking and free coffee all day in the lobby. And a swimming pool and hot tub.
It's the closest hotel to Erin Hills golf (15 mins drive, $25 uber). There's a place to buy booze across the road, and a few food options. Bear in mind this is a small town, so having a couple of options to choose from is fine.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Reminds me of the Quality Inn we also stayed at - maybe both used to be part of a chain?

The staff member that checked us in was very nice and we were able to check in an hour early. We stayed 3 nights, our room was never cleaned, if we needed clean towels we had to get them from the front desk. It appears that people live in this hotel it was just strange.

Okay if you just need a comfortable bed

The room was comfortable with the exception of the outlet that started smoking and burned up the phone charging plug so we couldn’t charge with it near the bed. TV had really limited channel lineup - nothing for kids.
It felt like a family was living in the hotel as staff, always the same group outside the doors and children in bare feet in the breakfast area. It made my teenage daughters uncomfortable to take the dog out with a group of men watching them. Parking is tight if you have a SUV or truck. Disappointed that the hot tub was out of order and the pool area bathroom was disgusting and didn’t seem to have been cleaned throughout multiple pool trips. Worked in a pinch for the location and price, but probably would stay elsewhere on a future trip.

First let me say that the young lady that checked us in was great! We got there about an hour before check in and asked if it was possible to check in early. She said let me check with house keeping if your room is ready. Room was cleaned, she just needed the head house keeper to sign off on it. They definitely went above and beyond here. We quickly dropped our stuff in our room and didn’t return until a little after midnight. The property is older so I understand stuff is a little worn or stained… however, the multiple hairs still in the shower and hairs on the bathroom floor tell me the bathroom was not cleaned or not very well, at least. We didn’t notice any of this when we quickly dropped off our bags otherwise we would have said something right away. But at midnight, there wasn’t much we could do about it then. This only made us notice more of the poor cleaning all over the place. Also, there was only one pillow per person while most hotels have 2. We woke and were out of the hotel by 7:00… nobody was well rested, the air didn’t work well and the room had a very damp feeling to it. . All of us decided to skip the shower because yuck! Thankfully we were headed home from there. Staff was friendly, but we would not recommend or stay here again.

The staff is helpful and courteous. I often will need early check in’s when driving from city to city and over time you can tell when the customer service person is making a promise/commitment just to complete the transaction and they have no intention to follow through. This is one of the few hotels where the staff is genuine and they follow through on their commitments. The facility is clean but it could use a face lift.

Pool and hot tub closed no previous heads up that the pool has been closed. The tv had distorted lines all throughout the screen it affected the visibility. They had like 10 channels. Carpets had runs and tears all through the room constantly catching our toes and tripping. We couldn’t change rooms they were sold out

Front desk never manned. Had to ring a bell and wait for them to come everytime. At check in they were on the phone the entire time. Hot tub broken, pool was ok, but had to get towels at front desk, which was not manned as previously stated. Breakfast provided was not stocked. Multiple requests for juice and waffle batter. TV channel selection was awful!!

For the price of my stay at $170 a night, I expected more. The hotel was older, rugs were dirty, we had ants all over everything. People actually lived in this hotel and overtook a lot of the space for customers. Staff was pretty much non-existent.

Whirlpool was down but the pool was available a larger than normal. Having a free breakfast was nice.

I definitely will not be staying here again.

It appeared the front desk staff didn’t understand English had a hard time communicating with me. They had broken washer and it appears they do not plan on fixing it. My child was ill in the middle of the night and there was no staff member at the front desk. I needed garbage bags. The carpet was dirty and the sink was cracked. Only good part was the toliet, shower and the bed. Also kinda weird they have some type of cooling/dehumidifier is the middle of the hallways. The vibe was not good.

I was very upset about the check in process. My family and I arrived late at night on our check in date, to find the front doors locked,no one answering the call button left on the front door, and no one answering the front desk phone. We were finally let in by someone coming back into the building with a key. We went to the front desk where a sign was stating the front desk person would be back at 6am. We called the number that was left on the sign and again there was no answer. Thankfully my paperwork was left on the front desk along with my keys. My husband had to reach over to grab it. Thankfully the keys had already been activated. We also had our reservation assigned to pay on arrival and my card was charged earlier that day as well.

I also disliked that the staff seem to live on the property and trudge around in robes and pajamas in the morning having breakfast — unprofessional and seemed dirty to me The also allowed guests with no shirts and no shoes in the breakfast area…disgusting…unsanitary.

Picked Americinn because of pool and hot tub. When I checked in sign at desk said hot tub is being repaired. Told it might be ready later that night or Saturday. Left Sunday still down. Staff was friendly And accommodating. Hot tub was out of order. I specifically chose this hotel because of the hot tub, and nowhere listed when reserving, did it say the hot tub was down. The room desperately needs a deep clean as the floors were dirty and in need of vacuuming. The shower/tub needs to be fixed and deep cleaned. However there was plenty of hot water. Was fine for a one night stay. Plenty of nearby restaurants. Free breakfast in the morning.
