Solid choice for Fukushima City

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sankyo. The location is about a 10-minute or shorter walk from the main station and there are plenty of restaurant options nearby. The room was fine. We stayed for 2 nights and opted to get breakfast at the hotel our final morning, which was good.

Great place, 3 star, but like 4 star place. Awesome breakfast buffet, plenty of choices & variety. Japan type & other American too.
Room size ok, note choices from hotel online websites might use different terminology than actual hotel descriptions for size. Super nice & helpful staff, like most places not much English speaking. Nice lobby, good WiFi, plenty of amenities, except no microwave. Note restaurant is only for breakfast. Check in & out mainly by machine, but people are there also. Plenty of food places near, a good ramen place is 100 meters away. Train station is big & multi level & confusing to get out to get to hotel. Also, note main hotel entrance is on the side street, not main road. Definitely recommend.

The hotel was good. The room was big enough, and had a bathtub and fridge, and the other usual amenities. I didn't have a meal included, but I did buy one 1400 Yen breakfast buffet, and it was really good. The only 'negative' was the walking distance from the JR station, but that was how I picked it, also because it was cheaper to rent. The nearest grocer wasn't convenient either, even a further walk than the JR station to reach a MaxValu/AEON type store.

Property was quite old and very dusty and smelly in the guest room floor pathway and elevator lobby. Beds were quite small and worst was the wifi which was extremely bad as I couldn’t connect and work even for few mins consistently and ended up using my mobile hotspot.
Breakfast was ok but had very less vegetarian options.
Staff was extremely courteous and helpful.

The hotel was a bit far from the station about 10-15 min walk with luggage. The triple room was quite large with lots of space for 3 people. And the best thing was breakfast, very delicious with many choices of food from the local product.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean, large room and bed, lounge with free coffee and tea. About a 7 minute walk from Fukushima station…straight down Eki-mae Dori. Very friendly staff. Surrounded by great restaurants and bars.

Great stay overall. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bed is comfortable but the pillows are terrible! They really need to invest in better pillows. Breakfast is complete but don't expect Western food. It's a typical Japanese breakfast but they also have bacon, bread, and juices.

The hotel may be close to the train station but not if you are dragging heavy luggage. It would also have helped a lot if the propery gave instruction which train exit station to take (east or west). I took the wrong exit and I was in for an even longer walk. Otherwise happy with the room, service and breakfast.

Great downtown hotel!

The hotel locates in a downtown area. My car was too tall to park at the hotel garage. The paid garage is a block from the hotel. Our room was big, clean, and has a downtown view. The bathroom is clean and new. The buffet breakfast included with our room rate was delicious, had choices, provided free drinks, and was tasty.

Great value - Nice hotel

Nice hotel in the area of the Prefectural office. Much better than other Business hotels. The lobby was spacious and well decorated and the staff was very friendly and polite. Everything was quite new and very clean. Breakfast buffet was also very good with excellent service and ample seating.

Parking is available for sedans but larger vehicles must use one of the nearby paid lots. Better directions and perhaps arranged discounts for hotel guests would have been helpful.

Excellent hotel for an incredible price!

The hotel and service both exceeded our expectations! Low priced, yet very clean and super nice. One of the people I’m at the front desk spoke English very well and provided clarity on the questions we had.

If your vehicle is standard size (sedan, station wagon, etc), you will be able to park in the hotel. For anything taller than that (ie minivan, SUV, etc), you will have to park about a block away for about $7 dollars a day. The walk back to the hotel was not far nor bad at all, and the parking attendant will provide a map to the parking location.

The buffet was good and was a mix of Japanese and American style food.

We only stayed for the night and didn’t do much around the local area; however, we’ll certainly stay here again if our next trip takes us through this route.

スタッフの方も気持ち良い対応で、おおむね快適に過ごさせていただくことができました。
2部屋利用でしたが、1部屋では就寝時に寒く感じ、調整できる掛け布団がなく、エアコンの温度を上げて（22→24度）対応した。
もう1部屋では逆に（22度設定ながら）暑かったのと、枕が高かった、との感想があった。

朝一番には柿があったのですが、補充はされず他の果物に代わってしまいました。

電話で問い合わせをした時に周辺の提携駐車場の説明を丁寧にしていただき夜遅くのチェックインでしたがスムーズに停めることができました。実際駐車場を使ってみて、平面で停めやすく、お得に停めることができたのでよかったです。

ホテルの朝食は種類が多く、沢山食べてしまいました。個人的に欧風カレー美味しかったです。

とても快適で気に入っていてほぼ毎年宿泊していますが少し気になっている点があります。
宿泊に関して1,2度メールをした事があるのですが、返信が返ってきた事はありません。大した用ではなかったので電話で確認したり、そのままにしていました。
それと毎回同じ大きいタイプの部屋なのですが水回りの掃除がやや甘かったです。今まで全く感じた事が無かったので少し驚きでしたが、この金額で宿泊出来る事を有難く思っています。
トータルで満足のホテルですので又お世話になろうと思っています。

快適でした。

コンセントがいっぱいありました。すごく助かります！
テーブルも大きくて、大人二人横並びにご飯を食べても十分な程でした。

フロントで傘のレンタルをしてるので急な雨にも安心でした。

夜の21時までですが1階のラウンジでコーヒー、お茶、お水、お湯がもらえて、私が泊まったフロアにはブロックアイスの製氷機があったのも嬉しいです。
ラウンジのコーヒー類は朝も頂けるといいな。

ひとつ気になったのは、お風呂の天井に細くて短い毛が数本残っていました。しっかり天井まで掃除してくださっている証拠ですが気になりました。
