Our stay was wonderful! The hotel was beautiful, historic, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and I especially appreciated the blackout curtains in the room. The hotel is also in a great location within walking distance to a lot of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful. Additionally, I was able to get a massage while staying at the hotel and it was a comfortable and relaxing experience for a great price. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

There were multiple bloodstains on the sheets, which were so dirty that I couldn’t even put my head on the pillows. The bathroom was so smelly most of the day that it smelled like fungus. The air conditioners didn’t work well either. To make matters worse, the internet connection, which is supposed to be a basic service of the hotel, only worked in the lobby. Every time I tried to use the internet in my room, they would tell me that it was working fine and wouldn’t change my room.

Lovely service by the vallet. Beautiful accommodations with comfortable bedding. Adequate gym for leisure trip.
A fun Scottish pub that we visited for dinner. Enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the pub chips and garlic sour cream dipping sauce.
A lovely spread on the 5th floor terrace for breakfast. Things that could've been better - no newspaper. Pool didn't open until 11am.... unable to visit before leaving. The AC was not very good at keeping up with the hot temperatures throughout the afternoon.

The property looked lovely on the pictures and to be fair it wasn't to bad but like alot of hotels standards are not kept up and was slightly shabby. My kettle didn't work but got replaced straight away.
The pillows were lumpy.
The cleaner didn't do a good job, lazy i would say, hardly made the bed. Didn't provide more water or coffee, had to ask reception for it. Breakfast was plentiful though with alot of choice.

Check in was ok, very casual.
The room was ok, but everything was very tired, a bit gruby even.
The air conditioning didn't work, I was told that it's the time of year for heating, so they isolated my room from it, still very hot and I slept with the window open, so didn't sleep well with noise from the street.
It was late evening when I arrived but I wanted to get something to eat, the downstairs bar was very loud with live music. I asked for a menu and was given a QR code.
I went to the top floor bar, it was very smoky. Had a drink and some chips, but everything seems like it was a lot of effort for the staff. They were not smart, sitting, drinking, smoking and eating.
It could be a really nice hotel, but just not looked after. Some areas looked like they were in the middle of being renovated, plaster showing, doors blocked, but no actual sign of work.
I was supposed to stay 2 nights but left after 1 and found somewhere else.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ickale hotel. It is the best hotel in Ankara. We had experience with other hotels in this area. We love the breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. Miraç is so nice and kind. All other staff members are very polite, professional and kind. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

For visa purposes I had to stay very long in Ankara and among all other hotels I’ve stayed at - this is the very best! Overall I lived here for about 2 weeks. Being recently renovated, outside view is great and really stands out. Interior design is amazing and very consistent. Reception service is outstanding and very friendly. Anything they can help with or fix, they are available, 24/7. Traveling solo, I felt safe. Location is superb, quiet street but very close to everything needed. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, selection of pillows is diverse. Breakfast is a bit repetitive, but I did live very long. Overall breakfast was good and nourishing. View from breakfast lounge is great! ☺️ Pub on ground floor is very cool, good food and nice beer selection. Separate and additional notes about spa and pool. I’ve chosen this hotel specifically for it, and I was not disappointed. Good massage, spacious pool, sauna, hammam, relaxation area, gym. Operating hours in November were 10am-10pm. Above all I was very much impressed by courtesy and professionalism of Spa manager Erkan.☺️ Thank you very much! Very tactful, attentive and professional. If I come back to Ankara, I will only stay in this hotel!

Maybe this was my worst stay in Ankara, the room is very old, very small bathroom that you can’t use. One elevator that can’t fit, no internet connection, not clean …. You need to think for a hundred time before booking the room, the staff are good, the reception is not answering your calls. Excellent neighborhood…

people were nice, but air conditioning in room did not work well; got the nice suite and it sucked when trying to sleep as the restaraunt was right above it and they didn't close until 12, then dragging chairs around over our heads for at least 2 hours after that. Also, no room service was a drag.

Located just near the coolest street and neighborhood (perfect location). The hotel is clean and provided us with great hospitality. The staff was very helpful. The hotel owner, Mr. Aker, is very thoughtful and caring for guests. He has guide my parents throughout their stay. Mr. Aker went above and beyond during COVID crisis not to only offer his personal accommodation within this unprecedented time but also helping them secure essential items to make their stay more comfortable.
Due to Mr. Aker's personal care, the Gordion hotel will be the only place we stay in Ankara. In addition to the great service, he has become a wonderful friend :))
Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend this hotel to every couple and families :). You wont regret, just be there :)

Need of tender loving care

The place is in need of A dire facelift. Gordion was at one time A premier Hotel.
There is no attempt made to repair or replace broken, torn or old fixtures.
The Spa section is closed, so there is no chance to relax and unwind.
If you are staying one night and/or don’t have much expectation, it will do.
In general things are very tired and the ambience is quite dormant.
There are better choices to be made.

Nice four star-ish hotel but cleaning and management a little sloppy. Rubbish not emptied for a couple of days, no Joel info or instructions about facilities though there was good and detailed information on what to do in an emergency. TV system hard to operate and had no international channels at all. Everything Turkish and many religious channels but pop and music channels not available which I found very strange. Guests like music and they want channels in other languages. But this is a nice building with god location so please just tighten up the management and supervision a little to make it excellent.

Eski ve bilindik bir otel ve yeri de cok iyi diye sectik. Ama temizlik gercekten cok kotu. Eski ya da yıpranmış olabilir ama bu pis, kirli olmasını gerektirmez. Maalesef bu kadar pis, tozlu, her tarafı leke ve saç dolu bir otel odası ile karşılaşmayı beklemiyorduk. Havluları artık atmaları o yırtık pırtık çarşafları değiştirmeleri gerekiyor. Bir daha asla.

Great hotel to stay at. I stayed 3 nights. Everything in a new condition. Only 2 comments for hotel consideration.
1. Window curtains are not wide enough to block out outsde light for sleeping.
2. Room was mostly too warm with no means of cooling down other than opening window on to streer.

Ich hatte zwei Übernachtungen im Gordion HoteL Es war alles wie angekündigt. Gemütliche Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, netter, verläßlicher Parkservice. Darüber hinaus waren die Benutzung des Pools und der Sauna im Hotelpreis inbegriffen. Danke für das tolle Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Werde bestimmt noch mal wieder kommen.

Oda temizdi ve personel oldukça güler yüzlüydü. Ancak 5. katta kaldığım için olsa gerek, odada zaman zaman rahatsız edici bir tuvalet kokusu vardı. Ayrıca iki kez yangın alarmı çaldı. Koridora çıktığımızda, mutfaktaki davlumbazdan kaynaklanan bir sorun nedeniyle alarmın çalıştığını ve önemli bir durum olmadığını söylediler. Yine de bu konunun otel yönetimi tarafından ciddiyetle ele alınması gerektiğini düşünüyorum.

Otelin spa bölümü oldukça başarılı; kapalı havuz, sauna, Türk hamamı ve Fin hamamı gayet güzel. Barları da keyifli, otelden dışarı çıkmadan vakit geçirilebilir. Sadece Wi-Fi zayıf; mutlaka güçlendirilmesi gerekiyor.

Konumu çok merkezi, fiyatları da gayet makul. Tüm bunların yanında yaşadığım küçük aksaklıklara rağmen oteli yine de tercih ederim.
