PERFECTO! We loved every minute of our stay at La Zambra Resort, a wonderful Hyatt hotel.
From stunning views across the mountains and golf courses to grazing over delicious snacks from the bar.
Nothing too much trouble and we were looked after by the staff from the moment we arrived.
Special shout out to Adrian, Mirella and the breakfast team for superb service and delicious hot and cold food selections. Thanks to the Housekeeping team for making up our room every day and to the team managing WhatsApp; we always got speedy and courteous responses, making it super easy to put in requests.
Tip: select a room overlooking the golf course - lovely view to wake up to every day.

Property was clean and the room was nice and spacious. However, staff are mixed. While some were nice and helpful others really did contribute to a disappointing overall experience. Breakfast lacks healthy fresh options and is not phenomenal. The hotel is quite far from City centres of Malaga and Marbella and taxi rides are not cheap.

Very quiet,chic resort, nice upgrade superior room for us.Breakfast every morning Outside with nice view of garden,golf course and lovely swimming pool but not heated,most people have sunbathing,courteous staffs ,receptionist very helpful for planning our Andalusia trips.Sorry no comments for spa,we don’t use it.Safe place but you need car for moving around, luckily my wife loves to use Bus 223 to central station in Fuengirola then you could get train directly to Torremolinos, Malaga,or using bus to Marbella, Estopena ect…Don’t forget to bring your racquets for tennis or padel only.

Very quiet,relaxed resort, nice pool but water a little cold for me because no heating,but my wife loves it.Perfect for golfer or outdoor tennis,padel.you need transportation for visiting Costa del Sol ,town near by like Mijas,Fuengirola, La Cala, Marbella…very good entry for Andalusia trip.You could use public transport like bus, train,uber …Very nice breakfast,we don’t use spa so no comment for the spa service.Friendly staff advise the local tours or maps for your information if necessary but goggle map is very helpful,a must to master or plan your trip.

Our stay at la Zambra was great. The breakfast was excellent. The view into the golf course and the scene of an Andalusian village was breathtaking. We appreciated to have access to Reception through Whatsapp by which all our needs were promptly answered to, and finding our bed made ready for sleep. The hotel is beautiful and invites for relaxation. Antonio took excellent care of us and Carlos at Reception was very professional but also personal. Diego and Sandra at Palmito went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time at dinner, together with Marta, Virginia and Adrian. Mirella and Fran made sure all our needs were met at breakfast. Nevertheless we did notice that some of the staff was not as polite as we would expect in a 5 star hotel, however these were very few. We had a very early departure and they made sure to have a picnic box ready for us. The spa service was the cherry on top with Asunción. We are looking forward to being back soon.

Pros: Nice property. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Free valet parking.

Cons: Average breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly but understaffed. Charge for things such as extra water for the room, tennis court use, sauna use. Room rate was expensive compared to other hotels we stayed during our trip which were nicer and cheaper.

Property is absolutely beautiful and service is very good. Staff assisted us on many matters. Even after we checked out and ran into some issues with local rental car company, due to language barriers, we reached out to La Zambra for help and they tried their best. It is conveniently located in the middle, Malaga to the east, Marbella to the west and Ronda to the North. Mijas is 20 minutes drive up the hills.

Very quiet, comfortable and has character

Very nice, very comfortable bed, very quiet at night. Lovely character with the interesting architecture and courtyards. However, for some people it might be too quiet and it's away from any outside bars, restaurants, activities, apart from golf courses. Nice pool area, looking over pristine golf course and mountains. I only ate breakfast here. I thought it might have been better, for cooked food and hot food section. Coffee was very poor. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nightime was relaxing, sitting outside balcony bar, but, for some, this might be too quiet for a holiday. Ideal for a good rest and relaxtion. Only problem for good R&R was that there are charges to even to use the steam-room only.

Overall superb, but 30 euro to use the steam-room!

Overall, excellent. Very comfortable, very quiet. Luxurious linen and towels (fluffiest ever). Great location, looking over beautiful nature and golf course, with mountains in the distance. Nice pool and very comfortable sun-beds (and just about enough of them when I was there, as lucky to get some late Oct. sunshine!). But very dismayed that, with a Deluxe room there was still a 30 euro charge to use the steam-room! I have stayed in dozens of five-star hotels around the world and they always allow any guest to use the steam-room and sauna free of charge (of course you must pay for other spa services). If anything, it's a good marketing strategy to drive guests to visit the spa! At least there was a bath in my room, which I was not expecting, as the pool water was not heated and it was the end of Oct. But very refreshing. I thought breakfast was reasonable, but a distinct lack of cooked items at the buffet. You could order a la carte (eggs to order etc) but nothing else to garnish the order from buffet (like grilled tomatoes etc.). Coffee was terrible every day. Small cafes in Malaga had way better coffee for less than 2 euros. I liked the almost (luxury) monastic feel with courtyards, minimalist decor and fountains. Moorish influence very obvious. Very quiet. Not a party hotel, and bar dead at evening time, but great hotel for a good rest, which is what I wanted. Great sleep, uninterrupted, every night. Would recommend.

A relaxing long weekend with my daughter.

From the moment we walked into the hotel we were really impressed by the immaculate and beautifully thought out design of the rooms and gardens.
All staff members made us feel really special.
It was a relaxing stay in a lovely environment. The layout of the garden and pool area very carefully thought out and never noisy, really beautiful inside and outside.
The yoga in the morning was great and we also enjoyed a massage in the spa.
The food and service was wonderful.
We were sad to leave but very happy and relaxed.

Beautiful surroundings in the hills and set into the golf course. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is lovely and doesn’t feel busy. Fantastic breakfast and very peaceful spa. Convenient buggy service if playing on Mijas golf course to save walking (although it is also and easy walk to the course). This is our second stay since the hotel opened less than 2 years ago.

A beautiful hotel, we had a junior suite and it had lots of space and was very stylish. The pool area was idyllic, and the spa was wonderfuI. It was the staff who made it really great for us though. We came with our 9month old baby and the staff were SO accommodating and made us feel really welcome and at home. They are really great with children here, especially in the restaurant. We also enjoyed the kids hour in the indoor pool, and liked that they were only allowed in during set hours to allow quiet relaxation time outside of this (which we also enjoyed!). The only complaint we have is that the spa opens quite late, at 10am! It would be nice if it could open at 8 or even 9am.

We stayed at La Zambra for just over a week and had a fabulous, relaxing time. The hotel is modern and very clean. All staff were friendly and so very helpful throughout our stay. The spa was a very welcome addition.
The grounds were well maintained and there were always plenty of sunbeds around the pools with views over the golf course.
The breakfast was superb with plenty of options and the staff were very attentive.
The on-site restaurants also offered great choices for lunch and dinner which is helpful as there are few other options within walking distance of the hotel.
If not staying for golf, the hotel is well situated for days /afternoons out to Malaga, Marbella, Mijas, and even to Ronda however would recommend a car for ease.
Would recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future!

If it were possible to rate them 20 out of 10 I would! The staff were amazing, especially Mario who made our very late arrival and painfully early morning departure so pleasant! The facilities are brand new, gorgeous, laid out thoughtfully, with amazing amenities and a lovely peaceful environment on the golf course. All this while being just a 20 minute drive to/from the airport. I couldn't recommend more highly! A wonderful stay!

We had an excellent 3-day stay at this luxurious hotel. The facility was perfect, with excellent dining options, a great spa, a wonderful staff, great pools, etc. the location is perfect, between Malaga and Marbella, a short drive from the charming Pueblo de Mijas and Nerjas Caves and beach.
We loved every minute there!

We loved our stay at the La Zambra hotel. It was truly a perfect escape! The staff were soo friendly, accommodating and must welcoming from the front desk to the spa. I cannot recommend visiting enough. Everything from the architecture to the the room and spa amenities are perfectly executed to the finest detail by the staff.

There is plenty of options when it came to lunch and dinner. We loved dining at Picador, all the dishes were exquisite.
