the most disguesting place i have ever been. they took absolutely no effort to make the rooms habitable and enforce a no smoking policy. the building smelled like mold and there were multiple damaged walls and pieces of stone in the rooms. the shower didn't have a door and there was water everywhere everytime you shower. I would avoid this hotel at all cost.

What was in the booking did not match what was on site. There was no Executive Room no King bed.
But the hotel allocated me a room with double beds after complaining. The receipt was not issued, I need as proof of payment.

Clean. Excellent breakfast, just be on time. Flexible staff. We got option to get a room away from the nightclub noise, we are thankful for that.

Priced to give value for money as property was undergoing renovation - good idea. Centrally located but if not a night life person weekend music from neighbouring clubs can be too much. The staff try their best to be helpful showing incredibly improved Ethiopia customer care from my decade-long observation thus far. The streets were ok to walk. The traditional food, esp Fasting Wot (no meat), is super good and a nice way to taste Ethiopian cuisine. Hotel arranged some fresh injera I travelled home with... I will stay at Kaleb again.

It was honestly a cool place to stay. Great location. A bit outdated but the excellent staff treatment made up for it. They were very friendly and accommodating. The bar tenders were very nice. I fell ill one nite and the kitchen staff prepared a basic dish for me and I am forever grateful. I would hope that the managers consider discouraging the prostitutes from hanging out at nights. Its really obvious who they are and I could tell that the lady residents and a few of the female staff members were a little bothered by their presence. Overall, nice hotel, great staff, and great management. I would return.

The hotel is listed as 3*, so you should not expect a 5* facility. But if your goal is a really clean and functional room with everything working and even more importantly, great hotel staff- friendly and efficient- and a place that quickly becomes home, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IN ADDIS ABABA! I have stayed at 2 other hotels, one 4* and the other 5* and the Kaleb was half the price and every bit as nice. (Plus an ideal tourist location!)

Hotel is in the city center ...close to everything. O booked executive room. The receptionist gave me a standard room. When I told her the room i booked was excutive room, she doesn't bother changing the room. Breakfast is good. The bed is not comfortable.

The site is ideal, as the hotel is in the middle of the central area of Bole. Overall, the service was great. Food was good, although the choices were limited, there was extra care in making sure you get what is available. The staff, including the cleaning staff, security & shuttle service staff, were very accomodating and friendly. I think the flexible staff are the best assets of this hotel. I certainly will stay there again, if and when I get a chance

Dont count on checking-in in your own room.

The Kaleb staff are friendly and go the extra mile in customer satisfaction. The 3rd of the hotels of our stay this time in Addis we were extremely satisfied with the value for money here. Check in was easy cases taken to an upgraded room whilst we went shopping. Lovely coffee ceremony area in foyer with lovely traditional dresses. Breakfast selection is great and room service very quick. Clean large rooms and quiet although in a great location near Edna Mall. Would recommend.

THe hotel has a great location and given the other hotels near by are more expensive, this is definietly a good option. The staff are very friendly and nice. The hot water didnt really work and the electricity kept tripping, but this is Addis after all, you can't have it all!

I have booked the hotel through Expedia and I have received a confirmation that the money has been paid for complete package .
I send an email informing the hotel that Will be arriving and require airport meet and greet as they have advertise on their web site but no once was responded to my email. while arriving no one received me which I end up paying additional expense for a taxi fare. However,, while arriving at the hotel reception desk the staff at the reception including the Manager doesn't have any Idea about my arrival. when I showed them the document I have with me they don't even bother to make a search and follow up. They simply advised me that they don't have any information about it. which i have to pay additional amount for my two night stay out of my pocket.
