I would not stay here in the future. Although the hotel is very old, the rooms were not terrible. The shower floods the bathroom floor and you have to walk on puddle after getting out of the shower. The WiFi is terrible. You have to go downstairs and get a three day vouchers. You have to get the vouchers every three days which is really inconvenient. The food is terrible. Service at the restaurant at breakfast time is good but other times you have to chase the employees to pay for your food. Room cleaning service was very good. Front staff is hit or miss, depends which employee is working. Finally, use the elevator with caution. I was stuck in the middle elevator for what seemed like 3 minutes. After that incident I used the stairs from the seventh floor.

Staff are great and helpful. However, when a hotel rates itself a 4-Star, service, food quality, cleanliness, shower, toilets etc should meet the requirements. Showers do not drain, toilet is smelly, mini fridge barely works.., pillows are most uncomfortable and do not meet 4-Star standard. Furthermore: safe box did not have proper easy to follow instructions… and can be easily opened by any one, just terrible.
We arrived early and were told

No breakfast on the first checkin day.., fair enough but some consideration would have appreciated especially that we had with us a baby 9 months old.

We asked for drinking water at some stage because our 9 month old baby needed baby formula… we were told no water can be given as the daily ration is two 600mLs bottles per day. Just terrible.

We were 3 guests including a child… and to have 2 towels per day is just ridiculous.

Wifi is weak and slow.

Finally: staff are friendly and they try to help when help is needed. We booked a hotel and not just staff help, the hotel is just terrible for the price.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone and would surely not want to stay there ever again.

Showers leak, the spa also leaks and does not even work … toilet papers - there was hardly any… just one toilet paper for 3 guests … was just ridiculous… pillows are of poor quality … food quality and food variety was just poor… please remedy all the problems. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful.

The hotel offers a comfortable and inviting stay, with beautiful furniture and a well-designed bathroom that add to its charm. While the rooms are already appealing, they could benefit from some regular preventative maintenance to maintain their top-notch quality. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious, making for a delightful experience.

Dining experience was not that great. The order of food came quick but for over an hour no one came to ask. I had to find waitress even to order more drinks and ask for the bill.
In the bathroom, no floor mat or hand towels provided.

I had a great stay at the Friendship International Hotel. Great, friendly, and very helpful staff, first class services, an amazing room with everything, all for a very read price. Very appealing and clean hotel with great art work. Only five minutes from the airport by shuttle in a beautiful and modern part of town. Will gladly stay here again on my next visit. JN

Nice hotel but could improve

I've stayed here at least 4 times in recent years. The staff is always friendly. The breakfast is outstanding. The wifi simply didn't work in the lobby or room, even after asking assistance, it still would not work. The bed is not comfortable but he area is nice and staff always helpful.

We requested transportation a day before our flight but in morning day of my flight the guy at the reception basically told us no, he stated \"Tinesh atkoyum ende\" while we had 1 hour left for our flight time, what kind of service was that, I mean he made it sound like we were his personal house guest, as a result we had to take a taxi to the airport. Otherwise, the location was very good. Thank you in general.

Disappointment!

First and foremost, the lady that checked me in has a nasty attitude and was very rude. Secondly, the room was filthy and smelly. Please see the photos I've attached with this review. I had to go to the front desk and pleaded for a room change or return my money so that I can move out right away. They refused to return my money and instead offered me an alternative room.

Again my room was supposed to have various conveniences, such as a cattle to make my tea; unfortunately, there was a cattle and a cup of tea on the table but it did not work. Despite my repeated requests, the receptionist kept conspicuously silent.

What's more, their mattress was pretty hard and wire-filled. I couldn't even sleep, so I rang the front desk and informed them. Guess what? I had received no response. The front desk staff is the most ignorant I’ve ever encountered, and they made my stay a living hell.

I remember, one time when I asked the receptionist to lend me a pen to fill out some forms, and she gave me a very bad glimpse and advised me to go out and get my own! Isn't this utterly ridiculous? However, I was fortunate enough to have a man seated next to her offer me his pen.

To cut a long history short, I would only recommend this hotel as a last resort. I'm not sure how they even managed to get 7.4 rates.

I like the hotel and the staff. The breakfast is very good and the range of meals for the evening was great. I stayed in the studio and enjoyed my stay. The only thing I didn't like about the room is it was to dim. I prefer a lot of light in my room. The internet was good but would fall out from time to time. If there was a problem they fixed it very fast.

I definitely didn't enjoy my stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were not friendly at all especially the restaurant staff. Only the room service cleaner was abit friendly but even she the first day open our hotel room door in the morning without knocking while we were still in bed at 8.30am in the morning.

The room service when you call them on the phone takes a long time to pick up the phone and when you order food it takes a long time. I had to call several times. The first time i order food for my room the guy insisted i had to pay cash or use visa card up front and that i couldn't sign. Later I could sign for other meals after me complaining to the loby. At the end of my stay I found out you can only pay for meals and other hotel services like laundry by visa card and only in foreign currency so they refused to take my cash of Ethiopian birr which i had taken out soecif to pay.

Their customer service is very bad. Also the fault room cleaning they didn't vacuum the carpet.
Put simply I will never stay at this hotel again

We are not expecting in 4 star hotel the following things:- the toilet seat, headrest of the bathtub and showr handling was broken and also most of the light in the room was not working except one, the carpet in the elevator was dirty, beside this the room service and the restaurant personal was excellent.

I could not stop myself from writing down an appreciation letter to the friendships hotel for making our stay such a memorable one. We were staying at the property for 10 days and I was there with my wife for our wedding ceremony.I cannot thank you and your staff enough for making it an experience to remember for life.

Don't believe what you the see on the Internet.

It is a horrible experience i had. Bed is an old one and doesn't have a mattress (just mattress box) after i requests, they gave me a a military style mattress roughly 3\" thickness and ripped off 😴. Doors fallen apart, safety box is loose not anchored down to anything.
My final advice for \"Hotel.com\", i don't know what mechanism you guys use to determine if the hotel eligible to be post on your sites. How is the hotel owner are reliable? Do you guy have team to assess the condition of the premises? As a loyal consumer to you, you must be reliable on the information you post. Other than that, you might loose your credibility as a company. I have attached pictures for your references and the future travellers.

The staff was friendly, and the room was very nice. I would recommend that the hotel consider changing the shower. Because its a \"module\" shower / a box installed in the bathroom with a shower inside the box. The tile shower at the Venetian Hotel with floor drain constructed by workers is a better design. There was also a jacuzzi tub, which was nice.

The hotel is good. But the amenities in the bathroom its like they were in short supply. I had to go buy my own liquid soap from the shops. They provide a small shampoo and a very small bath foam, even from a room booked for 2. The small bottles were even half filled or sometimes used. Breakfast was really terrible. We had to go eat breakfast at Marriott hotel everyday despite the fact that we paid for bed and breakfast.

One Day and one night stay

The service was okay except the hotel needs some updating. There was water on my bathroom floor, that appeared to be coming from a toilet pipe. Housekeeping came to look at it and called maintenance to take care of it. Unfortunately, the problem was not solved, because the bathroom floor was wet later ,that day. Also, the door to the balcony was problematic. I opened it once and had a problem locking it, so I was afraid to open it again.
