The smell of cigarette smoke from the reception area was overwhelming, people chain smoke all day in the cafe attached to reception right next to the dining room, I could smell smoke in our bed sheets as well, the ice water had the smell smoke too, the whole place smelt of smoke 24/7, I had a headache the entire stay from the smoke.

Overall nice accommodations but quite a hike to the town. Also both the water heater and refrigerator were turned off on our arrival. Staff very nice. Very good breakfast.

Overall a great place to stay. The breakfast was good, the room had amenities higher than my expectations and the staff were friendly. However bear in mind that it is quite a walk from Split centre and in an industrial area. Also you can’t escape the smell of smoke throughout the hotel.

A nice room, but I did find the mattress too soft, one of those memory foam ones (just my preference for a firmer mattress).
I would normally walk every where and it is walkable to the centre, however I'm currently recovering from a broken ankle (everything booked before accident), and found Uber very cheap and useful.

Hotel underground parking is payable (says free on the site) and free parking on street is either very busy or unwelcome by the neighbours. Hotel and breakfast were satisfactory and the bed very comfortable. Walk to town is along a busy road, not so nice. I think this hotel is overpriced and doesn’t deserve 4 stars. 3 stars more appropriate.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from centre of town. The area looks run down but feels safe and convenience stores ab restaurants are near by. It's about a 60 kuna cab ride to town. The room is biggish modern with a large balcony. Over all its pretty good. The worst is th e hotel reception is also the bar person so getting information out of them is slow and they are not interested in helping you

We stayed at BB Residence for two weeks and used it as a base to tour Southern Croatia. The staff were truly excellent - we cannot thank Iva and Mario enough for making our holiday so enjoyable!
The hotel is in a residential area but only 5-10 minutes from central Split by car. It was also easy to access the main highways north and south from this location. Breakfast was simple but all items for the continental breakfast were fresh and plentiful. We would recommend this Hotel for couples and would suggest hiring a car (which the hotel can arrange locally).

Nice hotel, but a fairly long walk to old town. There was a little playground beside the hotel coffee shop, so it would be good for families with young children. There is not much around the hotel except small businesses. We did find a nice little restaurant with the help of some locals where we ate lunch. Delicious food, but without directions we would never have found it. Quite small and almost exclusively local clientele so not sure if it is open for dinner. The hotel staff did not seem to know about it.

This place is far from the central area, around 25 mins walking. The building is tucked away and a bit out of the way to walk to, otherwise the place is well renovated and has a great breakfast, one of the best breakfast i have had at a bed and breakfast place. Very clean and modern room too.

Very clean and relaxing, the lady that checked us in was very nice and gave the vibe she wanted to do everything she could to make it a lovely stay. Did ask a question to a guy later in the day at reception about what some suggestions to see and where to go in split and felt he was quite rude and disinterested but that would be the only negative on a nice stay.

This is a lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious with a nice bathroom with good toiletries. The staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious - lots of variety in a buffet style. It is in a residential area about 20 minutes walk (stroll) to the old town/Diocletian palace but there are also plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants close by if you prefer.

This place was very clean and stylish. The lady at reception when we checked in was simply wonderful and helped us in every way. Since we were leaving early the next morning and would miss the included breakfast, she personally brought a bowl of fruit and bottle of water to our room.

Bad Experience Considering It's a 4 Star Hotel
The hotel is unmanned with no staff to assist guests. It's located far from the city centre and very inconvenient since even taxis are difficult to get. Also the hotel doesn't refund unused room nights though its booked under a refundable policy. Absolutely unprofessional

Visit to Split
I visited Split to attend a conference. The conference was held at Blu Radisson but I decided to stay in BB residence because the cost is lower and the review recommended this place. Indeed it was an excellent choice. My room was superb, very clean and very safe. The staff was excellent in particular Iva and Mario were very kind to help me whenever I asked for help. The breakfast was very good and the hotel location is amongst residential area. I did walk to downtown from my hotel and it took me 22 minutes and could be done very easily. I even walked to the Blu Radisson hotel but it took me 35 minutes. However I strongly recommend this hotel and thank you again to Iva and Mario for their help and their assistance. Highly recommended

Nicely kept apartments which function as a hotel
Enjoyed staying here in August. This is a hotel that is based around a set of small, nicely renovated apartments. It is a little out of the city centre, and you are probably best advised to get a taxi if you're arriving from the ferry and/or airport shuttle as it is down a side street that is not obvious from the main road. Most taxi drivers know it by the name 'biberien' as well (an previous name perhaps?). Staff are very helpful. Breakfast (included) is excellent. There is a kitchen in the apartment, but not much by way of cutlery or condiments so perhaps not useful for a short stay. Split is not short of accommodation by any means - even in high summer - but this is a good one.

Excellent location, value and stay!
As we approached the neighbourhood, I was skeptical... it's mainly a residential neighbourhood and I couldn't imagine a hotel being nestled in amongst the homes. After arriving, we realized it was Split's best kept secret. Diocletian's Palace is within easy walking distance - about 20 minutes - and being in a residential area it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff were, I have to say, the best I've experienced anywhere in the world. They were warm, friendly and bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. EVERYTHING! They are the reason we will return.

Great hotel; wish it was closer to attractions
The BB Residence is a very modern, clean, comfortable place. The woman who works the front desk was very friendly and helpful, assisting me with arranging a day trip I had planned and also reserving a taxi to arrive at 5am to take me to the airport. Breakfast was a really nice assortment of fresh foods. The only issue I had was that the hotel is located about 30-40 minutes walk from most of what you want to see and do in Split. In hot weather it's a long walk (partly uphill on the way back), or a 10 euro cab ride. If you're a business traveler or you have a car that won't matter, but as a tourist, if I returned to Split I would stay in a more central location to make it easier to go back to the room during the day to drop things off or rest.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. From the reception desk, to the room itself, everything is brand new and very modern. Room is very spacious and impeccably clean. Bathroom felt very luxurious. Overall the decor of the hotel is top notch and very safe and secure. The location isn't totally central but it's only about a 5-10 min cab ride to Diocletians Palace which comes out to about 10 euros. You can also walk if you're up to it! Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at the BB Residence. The staff were all extremely friendly and the decor and accommodations were very modern and clean. It should be noted that these are actually apartment accommodations so there is no full 24/7 service like you would get at a hotel. For example, the front desk would be closed after 8 PM so if you needed something after that time it would not be immediate. With that said, someone would answer the phone and would do their best to assist you as soon as possible. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and included a nice breakfast every morning. Overall, we were very happy with our choice.

Good place to stay if you don't want to be in town
The hotel is on the outskirts of Split, so a good drive (taxi ride) into the centre (about £5-6 worth). It's not the easiest of places to find either (particularly when our satnav gave up the ghost). It's in a residential area with some small shops around - useful for wine buying. We found one good restaurant within 10 minutes walk, so we ate there every night. The advantage of the location is that it's very easy to out of town and back again without hitting loads of traffic.

A first class business hotel and excellent value
This is my second stay at the BIBERON Residence - Split and it's beginning to feel like coming home. An attentive manager / owner greets me again and takes the key to personally show me the new room they have reserved for me. Large bathroom, spacious bedroom with best beds I've found on my travels, not just in Split. I have serious back problems and sleep poorly other than in my own bed at home, and now at the BIBERON Residence !!! My previous room had a nice, large, street-facing balcony and of course the air-conditioning is first class. A good size writing desk and comfortable chair is complemented by high-quality, fast and secure wireless broadband internet connection - FREE of charge. The reception desk has helped me many times with printing of documents I have generated during the business meetings, scanning and making copies where necessary.
A small but clean and light dining room serves above average continental-style breakfast and the coffee machine is no slouch when it comes to creating delicious Italian-style coffee. Do not miss the jam-filled croissants freshly baked each morning and still warm when served.

A única questão é a localização: perto do porto e do shopping, o q é ótimo. Porém, fica em uma rua com aspecto decadente que passa sensação de insegurança. Mas, após a primeira impressão, percebi q a cidade toda é assim mesmo.
No geral , o hotel é recomendável. Voltaria a me hospedar nele se voltar a Split.

Atendimento da recepção atencioso.
A única questão é a localização: perto do porto e do shopping, o q é ótimo. Porém, fica em uma rua com aspecto decadente que passa sensação de insegurança. Mas, após a primeira impressão, percebi q a cidade toda é assim mesmo.
No geral , o hotel é recomendável. Voltaria a me hospedar nele se voltar a Split.

Das Hotel ist abseits und dadurch ruhig gelegen. Die historische Altstadt ist ca. 30 Fußminuten entfernt.
Das Zimmer befand sich im 1. OG eines mehrgeschossigen Wohnhauses. Das Mobiliar hatte deutliche Gebrauchsspuren und bei meinem Bett blätterte das Kunstleder vom Unterbett und der Kopflehne ab. Unschön. Der vorhandene Fernseher musste etwas umständlich mit einer Zusatzbox bedient werden.
Grundsätzlich war der Service im Hotel okay. Uncool fand ich den Frühstücksraum. Das war ein abgetrennter Bereich von einem Raucherrestaurant und dadurch saß man morgens im Qualm der im Nachbarraum rauchenden Gäste. Unschön! Das Frühstück selbst war ok.
Das Hotel kann ich leider nicht empfehlen.

Muy mal mantenido el hotel, los muebles de la habitación se veían viejos y descuidado, algunos incluso rotos. El edificio olía muchísimo a cigarrillo y un olor como “a guardado”. La zona donde está ubicado tampoco es la mejor.

Hotelli sijaitsee n. 30 min. kävelymatkan päässä Splitin vanhasta kaupungista. Pieni boutique hotelli, laadukas huone sekä ystävällinen palvelu koko matkan ajan. Aamupala kuuluu hintaan, mutta valikoima ei ole erityisen laaja. Vatsan saa kuitenkin täyteen. Joker ostoskeskus lähellä sekä 35 min. kävelyn päässä Mall of Split.

Es war einfach Wundervoll. Wir kamen in Split im BB Residence an und wurden sehr nett von der Dame am Empfang sehr nett begrüßt und konnten sogar schon 2 Stunden früher als geplant das Zimmer beziehen. Das Zimmer war einfach nur ein Traum , ein sehr bequemes Bett, eine kleine Minibar mit einem kleinen Kühlschrank, ein Großzügiger Balkon und ein Sehr schönes Badezimmer. Das Frühstück war auch immer sehr lecker mit zum Beispiel Croissants, Toastbrot, Joghurts, Obst, Orangensaft und vielen weiteren leckeren Dingen. Das Hotel ist noch ein relativ neues Hotel und deshalb auch sehr nett eingerichtet. Die Putzfrauen kamen jeden Morgen ins Zimmer und haben es immer super sauber gereinigt. Die Damen am Empfang waren alle immer sehr nett und Hilfsbereit da ich 2 mal ein Taxi brauchte haben sie mir eins bestellt auf ihrer Landessprache Kroatisch. Das einzige was wir zu kritisieren haben ist das das Hotel leider 30 Minuten Fussweg außerhalb der Stadt liegt . Aber die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sind auch nicht weit entfernt. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen:-). Dankeschön

Il ya tellement dé choses a dire que je ne peux tout mettre du début jusqu’à la fin c’était horrible il ne s’agit pas d’un 4 étoile le principe de st simple en Croatie chacun met le nombre d’étoiles qu’il veut donc je vous laisse la surprise tout le monde met 4 étoile a ces résidences alors que c’est loin de l’être cette résidence mérite a peine 2 étoile la saleté des chambres des cheveux de partout et des poiles d’animaux les traces et le meilleur pour la fin si vous regarder en dessous du lit c’est la forêt amazonienne ah pardon la forêt c’est propre je dirais plus la déchèterie on trouve de tout des bobons des chewing-gums De la poussière des choses que je ne connais meme pas le ménage est fait en 5 min pas plus et pour finir le petit déjeuner c’est simple mini croissant et pain tout les jours pour me prix que j’ai payé c’est loin de mériter sa bref je n’y reviendrai pour aucune raison sans parler des croates racistes irrespectueux impolies et j’en passe

All in all, it was an okay choice quality and pricewise. The hotel looked well-kept, and the room was spacious and clean, with modern style furnishings and air condition. It had a balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well, with all the modern amenities but no bathtub. There was a coffee machine and complementary coffee in the room. The free wi-fi functioned well.
The staff was all in all friendly and helpful. They spoke English well and appeared professional. The breakfast was good enough, with delicious fresh bread and salads. Although the selection was quite limited, the provided food was of good quality. There were no warm dishes though, and the machine coffee was hideous. The buffet was refilled regularly, and there was enough food for late risers.
The hotel was peripheral, and, with infrequent buses, the location was inconvenient. It took some 25 minutes to get to the city centre by foot. Placed in the residential district, it had a local grocery store nearby but not much else. The neighbourhood was quiet.

Das Hotel bb Residence ist modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Rezeption ist kompetent besetzt und in englischer Sprache wird einem immer geholfen. Das Frühstück war ok aber nicht besonders erwähnenswert, für Kroatien aber ok. Die Entfernung bis zur Altstadt beträgt ca. 1,7 km und ist gut zu Fuss, mit dem Bus oder mit einem Taxi zu erreichen.

온수는 한시간이 넘도록 뎁혀지지 않아 아이들은 씻지 못하고 잤습니다.

겨울에 가시는분들 참고하세요.

Kninska street is surrounded with the pedestrian zone on the one side, and motor traffic zone on the other, so there is a city parking lot and a taxi stop nearby. The Diocletian's Palace is in 3 minutes walking distance with Marmontova street, which ends on Riva, just a minute away.
The neighborhood is very quiet and calm, especially at night, unlike the Old city core with its numerous bars that run late into night. The outer walls are 50cm thick which provides a solid sound and temperature isolation.
