Dinner was fabulous, a bit on the pricy side but that’s to be expected from premium hotel. They also have a good menu selection for lunch. We added breakfast to our room and it didn’t disappoint. The nightly rate was expensive for what was provided in return. Beautiful property however you should never have to pay that much money for a Coke or a bowl of pasta or a cup of tea. I will not stay here in the future at this property or any of the Waldorf Astoria hotels. I was excited to go there and was deeply disappointed. There is a spa there that I thought would be included, but you have to book a spa treatment in order to enjoy the spa facilities. Another huge disappointment. I also wanted to stay at this hotel because the Michelin star restaurant. Once I had checked in, I discovered it had been booked up for three months. I feel they should reserve additional space for guests.

My balcony view was of a large antenna, which was a bit disappointing. Our Colosseum tickets were canceled without notice, and since it was a very busy weekend, the hotel couldn’t find replacements. We stayed in Rome for three nights as part of a Euro tour and were really looking forward to dining at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant. However, we didn’t realize that reservations need to be made weeks in advance—and that staying at the hotel doesn’t guarantee access—so we unfortunately didn’t get to eat there. That was another disappointment. Additionally, transportation can be quite expensive since the hotel is located far from the city center.

Where do I begin? The Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria provided the most perfect and memorable backdrop for my birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and attention to detail made us feel incredibly valued. They truly made my birthday feel magical. The Imperial Room was an amazing perk! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special and met our every need. Paola at the front desk was exceptional in giving us restaurant suggestions and helping us extend our stay. Marco and Emmanuel at the valet stand always got us to the appropriate cab on time and offered umbrellas so we didn’t get wet. We can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Waldorf Astoria And we will be back!

On the flight home. Never really leave reviews the hotel itself is beautiful. Be prepared to pay for the taxis if you are not going to use the shuttle, the shuttle service is nice but very very far from some of the sites in the city. Also the hotel claims to be affiliated with the Marco Simone golf course yet the golf course is over a 1/2 hour away with no transportation. I ended paying over 150Euros just to get back and forth to the hotel, with no assistance. There is a gift shop which is never open. When we come back in the future will definitely stay closer to that city, it was an expensive just to get anywhere. There also were no irons available in the hotel, so we walked around wrinkles all week. Staff was nice for the most part, the room had a slight smell just because of the constant moisture especially the pillows. Stayed in much better Waldorfs previously, will definitely stay elsewhere if we come back to Rome.

For our surprise service desk said is not included and we have been charge $50 a day for 4 days. Unfortunately I can not see in the order documents that breakfast is included or not even I selected the choice with breakfast included.

I found the lower level staff to be very nice. The medium level staff wanted nothing better to do than order us around like sheep. Not just one but several. Very unneeded and unnecessary. Too bad. We are returning guests and was disappointed.

I chose this hotel for its location and views near the Vatican, which are truly excellent. The staff and service were warm and attentive, but unfortunately, the property itself does not live up to the Waldorf Astoria standard. The rooms and hallways are in serious need of modernization—the carpets were faded or stained, the furniture worn, and the overall décor felt dated, more like stepping into my great-grandmother’s house than a luxury hotel. Adding to the disappointment, my bathroom towels were frayed on more than one occasion, even after I specifically asked for replacements. With its prime location, this hotel has incredible potential, but until it undergoes a much-needed refresh, it falls short of the brand’s reputation.

Loved that we were out of the central city. Shuttle convenient to the city. Hotel was beautiful even though we didn't use the amenities they were great. Reception desk was very knowledgeable. Minor complaint we asked about water as it was not there and then the second night two bottles were there after we brought our own. We ate on the patio and the dining area by the pool as well as breakfast. Can say we felt like we were at a resort.

Too much cost for an old apartment complex with a fancy name slapped on it. We requested and booked a room with a view of Rome, the put us on the other side of the building facing the other apartment complexes opposite of the city center direction. When we requested them to fix our reservation they tried to charge us an extra 149 euros a night and we already paid close to $1200 for 3 nights…terrible. This Waldorf is probably the most disappointing one we have stayed at. It wasn’t terrible because the facilities were cool and unique and the complex was large, it was just too overpriced for what the rooms were and the location is too far outside of town. When it comes to real estate, the price is all about 3 things: location, location, location!

We had a great time in a very nice hotel. The only thing I didn't like was the shower system in the room. The shower only had a half-part partition, so depending on the angle of the shower head, the bathroom got wet. I think this is a design issue that needs to be improved. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

The worst experience with customer service in my life. I think a hostel wouldn't treat its guests the way my wife and I were treated. It transpired that halfway through our stay we have exceeded our pre-authorised deposit for extra charges. So on Saturday night we get a time stamped letter at 10.30pm to immediately speak to management and then we got a follow up letter at 5.30 in the morning!! We didn't notice the first letter since we came back to the room late at 2 in the morning. Our TV started flashing that we urgently need to speak to management. I spoke to management and told them I am checking out the following evening and will pay all outstanding bill then. They then accosted my wife at breakfast to pay immediately - even though they had our passports and credit card information. When I calmly complained about the aggressive nature of enforcing this, the manager snapped at me sarcastically and mockingly that we should not come back to the hotel if we have a problem with the way they run their finances.
Moreover, the crowd is very rowdy and unpleasant in the hotel and the rooms and facilities are extremely dated and in desperate need of refurbishment.

Room size if amazing and facilities including Spa which is comparable to the one (if not better) than David Lloyds! This was a beautiful property on top of a hill in a quite neighborhood that offered minimal dining & shopping all within a 5-10 minute walk from the complex. The staff was very pleasant & eager to assist with any needs - the food was good and the room was beautiful with a gorgeous view (our room was center of the hotel overlooking the pool & garden and the city of Rome in the distance). I would stay here everytime!

I’ve been a guest of the Cavalieri for over 20 consecutive years. The location is outstanding, the staff is very welcoming and attentive. The negatives are that the rooms could be updated, carpets should be removed and replaced with wood floors, rooms should have the option of a walk in shower and the imperial lounge (which is extra) should be open till 11pm like is was in the past . Guests are paying extra for those floors and should have the option to come in there after dinner even if only for drinks and to relax . I think that these small changes would elevate this property to the next level.

Please look at your room location before accepting it. We stayed 2 times in Sept. despite many rooms available, we were placed in a construction zone due to extensive plumbing problems . Drilling, hammering, yellling 7-3 pm. For 3 days. No wonder the bathroom always smelled of urine. No heat in room. Took 15 minutes to get hot water. Last day there, indoor spa/pool drained. Cigarette burns in nightstand and couch armrest unraveling. Paid 700/night and got a view of a massive radio tower, on the other side was beautiful Rome. Why were we treated so badly?
