These people should be embarrassed by the lack of customer service they provided.
I was unable to make a connecting flight from Malaysia via Bangkok and therefore didn’t make it to Yangon.
I informed the hotel of this and they wouldn’t do ANYTHING to accommodate. Switch to Wyndham hotel in Bangkok, do a partial refund since it was a 3 day reservation.
They basically told me tough luck.
I am now in Phnom Penh Cambodia on a 4 month tour of Asia, haven’t picked another Wyndham hotel to stay at and never will!

This is a great value. The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms and beds are super comfortable, and being right on one of the biggest tourist attractions means you don't have to travel far except for crossing the street to get to it. Having a pool and full-on weight room overlooking the lake and somebody on the cake. There is a mall with restaurants and a grocery store in the same building, very convenient.

We loved the area. The room is spacious and excellent. The breakfast buffet is highly appreciated. The infinity swimming pool is refreshing, the playground and the bar and all amenities are awesome. 2 things to improved: one- make sure to put family in non-smoking room (confirm if they preferred smoking or non-smoking room), as per requested they moved us to non-smoking room and also the tv is not functioning well.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very helpful, kind and professional. The room was fantastic and I was given an upgrade on arrivai which I very much appreciated. The breakfast was great as well, alot of variety and the service was very attentive especially by John who had my coffee and tea ready without being asked! I would definitely recommend staying here for either business or leisure as it's in a great location and has great family/individual amentities that are just what you want when you stay at a hotel and want a bit of pampering.

The hotel was fantastic. Forget everything you know about Wyndham in the US. The hotel is five stars all the way and looked like a Park Hyatt for a fraction of the price. The pool was lovely. The breakfast buffet was huge. The service was excellent. Thank you for an incredible stay.

I told the reception that I the details of my Minibar usage which was 01 Shark energy drink, the drink cost was 03 $ I was changed 09 $ / When asked for details / They took a long time to verify so I left. The overall experience is really amazing! Newly opened, clean, and luxurious hotel. Service is really friendly , room is spacious and the view to the lake is amazing. Breakfast has an international spread. They also provide free shuttle airport bus which is very convenient. Thank you very much for the service provided when we were there for 3 nights. Very clean and new hotel, convenient to major temples with a shopping mall just downstairs but mall has little variety of shops. The mall is very new too, so not fully occupied yet. hopefully its gets better soon. Definitely will stay this hotel again i am here.

New hotel near the lake with pretty good price. You can get luxury room in a good location to chillout near the lake and not too far to visit shopping mall or famous places e.g. Shwedagon pagoda. Staff are very nice. The bar is lovely to chill out, drink and food are great.

It’s making me miss it and don’t wanna leave the place ever! All the staff are friendly and the food are all great! We tried the buffet and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything is near the hotel and they have their own shopping mall which is a plus :) Book this hotel!!! Really cheap for its price and it’s very clean very new very classy!

A brand new hotel is only 4 months old, modern decor, pretty & clean. Shopping center is next to hotel.

Yangon is very hot lol. The traffic is also very heavy in the city. Our shoes were stolen at a temple. My wife got sick from food poisoning. This happened at different hotel when we arrived. The Wyndham hotel in a gem in a rough city. For me Yangon is a place that is a one time visit only.

Fabulous hotel!

I can not fault this hotel in any way. Service was truly great. Each staff member I came across was polite and helpful. They all spoke very good English too. The room was fantastic. The breakfast was delicious and with plenty of variety.
The gym was great and has very good equipment.
The pool was outdoors and big.
The hotel was spotless.
The bell boys were always helpful, specially John Micol who assisted me with getting breakfast while I was unwell.
The hotel is in a good location. Close to everything.

Perfect stay at Wyndham Grand!

Everything was perfect at the Wyndham Grand. The staff are all well trained, very friendly and the rooms were luxurious. Tim helped me with my luggage at check-in and check-out and he was always friendly when I bumped into him during my stay there. There is a shopping centre next door with restaurant options. It is still fairly new so there will be more restaurants, shops and a supermarket opening in the future.

Only suggestion I have is perhaps have more restaurant staff during breakfast. There are typically only 3-4 staff who are clearing the tables, setting the tables, taking guest orders (e.g. drinks and sometimes food orders) and doing general refill/tidying of the food stations. They are very hard working and I would hate for some guests to have a negative perception that tables aren't cleaned or orders are not placed quickly enough because they are so busy.

What a great one night stay to finish off our trip! We booked on an opening deal including breakfast (definetly books with the breakfast buffet!).
Our check in was very good, May was lovely and the concierge (John?) seemed to be everywhere, always with a smile. For a longer stay I would probably get sick of all the staff constantly saying hello or getting the lift for you.
We used the pool twice, it was lovely and refreshing with comfortable loungers and a bar.
Our room was lovely, although a few amrks etc on tiles which i woudlnt expect given its only two months old.
The breakfast buffet was amazing, make sure you are hungry! Everything from a seleciton of donuts, pancakes, waffles, french toast, cereal, eggs, toast (lots of breads), cheese, salad, eggs, congee, noodles soups, curries, beans, sausages, bacon - the works!
Nice location on the lake, I would stay here again next time im in Yangon.

It is a class act from all perspectives from the moment you enter the lobby you are treated as a VIP. The facilities restaurant excellent range in the buffet exceptional service. The hotel is made to impress, the decoration is only overshadowed by the attentiveness of the staff. Specially concierge John on Sunday morning who made sure I knew how to get to Shwedagon pagoda, which is a nice walk along the lake away. The breakfast is generous with many different options.

Excellent stay at the Wyndham during our trip to Yangon! Location is slightly further to city center but we really love the lake view, and the fact that the area isn’t overcrowding. Impeccable services from all the staff, especially Ko Ko who had been a tremendous help to us on a daily basis. Rooms are spacious and superb clean! The bathroom is amazingly beautiful. They have a wonderful breakfast spread. Will highly recommend Wyndham!

Amazing experience! The staff are very hospitable and friendly. This hotel is the epitome of great customer service. The location is very good and is walking distance to the Royal Lake which is right across the street and Swedegon Pagoda is short walk away or closer by taxi. The rooms are large and there are no complaints. Internet is good. Breakfast is great and the layout is extensive! Would stay again.

Overall, very good. NIce new hotel near the lake. Beautiful, large pool, nice bar area and good breakfast buffet. The room was large and nicely decorated with a large bathroom and huge shower area and separate toilet area. I also used the spa and got a decent massage. The only thing that disappointed me was the gym, which is too small for the size of the hotel. There were only 3 treadmills, one of which was broken, and they were full when I was there, so I wasn't able to use one when I was there. There was also no mat space to stretch. The other thing I would say is that there was a slight sewage smell in my bathroom. Perhaps they are still working out the kinks in this new hotel .... Finally, I know this sounds like a weird thing to say but the staff were too solicitous. I got tired of constantly being asked how I was and what I needed, but I'm an introvert who doesn't like small talk.

We stayed here for the last 3 days of stay in Yangon. We did not regret it one bit! We selected a Lake view room and upon check-in got a free upgrade to a Deluxe room. The room is huge and has everything you need, including a walk-in closet and a bath tub that overlooks the lake! Definitely spend the extra amount for a Lake view. Service was 5 star all around, from the front desk reception to helpful guys in lobby who would always help in directing the cabs to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is a large spread that includes American, Indian, Japanese, and local Myanmar cuisine. The food was excellent. I cannot fault this hotel one bit! I would stay here again on our next visit.

What can I say. I was completely blown away with both the quality and finish of the hotel but mainly the service.
