I had a wonderful stay here! Location is optimal for exploring Maputo on foot. The room was large and spacious, with a large and comfortable bed, air conditioning, electric kettle, tea and coffee making supplies, a mini fridge, a flatscreen television with international news and entertainment channels (roughly half in English), ample luggage storage, an electronic safe, an excellent buffet breakfast with many local and international options like fried and boiled eggs, fresh fruits and veggies, breads and spreads, beans, cooked meat dishes, etc. (7am-10am), friendly and helpful staff, a full gym with cardio machines, cable machines and free weights (I really loved this aspect and even used the gym to train for 2 hours after checkout!), and a conference centre. The hotel is very new and modern, but there is a bit of water damage in some of the rooms (ceilings and baseboards namely). I am not exactly sure where this came from.

The only negative aspects I can think of were that the water pressure in the shower was rather low and there were mosquitos in my room the second night, but I don’t think this is necessarily the fault of the hotel.

Free luggage storage is offered at this hotel if you need to hold your luggage after you checkout. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. Super Spar is about a 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, I had a great stay here, and for the price, I was impressed with all that the hotel offered! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Impossible to reach

I honestly can’t tell if this place exists. Starting a week before my stay, I tried to get in touch with them — via hotels.com, with the number listed in hotels.com, the number on the hotel’s own website, the email listed on their website, and the contact form on their website. An agent with hotels.com also tried to reach them, without success.

Well located hotel, no frills, spacious and comfortable rooms. There are many things in the room (especially bathroom) that are either a bit broken or missing (the handheld bidet was clearly missing, the shower and the washbasin drains were a bit clogged up), but overall it doesn’t affect the stay too much. Initially it took some time to get things in order, for instance the AC and Tv remote both were not working, and it took them more than an hour (and me to go down twice) before they finally came up with me and finally replaced the batteries. But otherwise for just a night or two nights stay it’s quite decent!

This last stay was my third at this hotel. It’s greatest advantage is it’s location. But every stay has been marred by surely staff, rooms that only have amenities for one person when they had been payed for double occupancy, no drinking water in the room, broken aircon and badly managed breakfasts.
Stay if the location and price suits you but expect less than decent service.

Toilet leaked. Reported on arrival and every day thereafter but was never fixed. Area surrounding toilet and shower very wet and slippery. Had to use both bath towels and mat which left no clean towels to dry off with. Shortage of towels in hotel, late afternoon delivery and very early pickup of soiled towels in the morning.

Sheets too small for mattress. Mattress sagging badly, easy to slide off.

Pillow very, very hard.

Please do not book this hotel. I had a very bad experience staying there on the 8-10th. The first they gave me didn’t look clean at all; the rug by the bed was ripped, wallpaper falling apart, I mean, I could go on and on. I had to for a different room in which they charged extra 1000 mt. The next morning when I went for the breakfast, the waiter told me that the restaurant didn’t have coffee or tea. I was shocked. I then asked the receptionist where I could get a cup of coffee, she suggested a a different hotel near by.

Do not west your money, you will not have hotel experience. Thank me later

Stayed here a few times. City Centre location next to Rovuma Pestana. Fairly New building but inadequate lighting for shaving in bathroom and all night reading lights were missing. Flooring had water damage (Rm705) at entrance to bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good.

booked two suits with balcony views only to be given one normal room, the other second room hadn’t been reserved although we had confirmation it had been, first room had air conditioning units directly outside the window although our air conditioning was stuck on 25 degrees and very noisy, second room was the same, no suite or balcony.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The lobby was ok. The lift and hallways definitely need to be renovated. The room looked amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Quite spacious and even had a balcony. However, the drapes and air conditioning unit had not been cleaned in so long that they were very dusty and growing some mold. I have asthma and initially had difficulty breathing. Had to open the balcony door to let in some fresh air. The area around the hotel is meh, but it’s still a good location to access much of the city. I would consider staying here again IF they make necessary improvements. I hope they do 👍

The hotel is in good condition. The rooms are as per the pictures online. The hotel bedding was not clean and the pillows were not changed. The hotel location is closer to city tour areas such as the Samora Machel statue, the historical Catholic Church and the central market but the hotel surrounding areas are not so great but safe. Breakfast needs to be improved and waiters could not understand english

Central location of Maputo. Only one concierge woman was very pleasant, rest of staff rude and not aware of the \"art of hospitality\" that they claim to be. Strict breakfast check-in for a not so good breakfast. My 2 rooms were paid in full w/ free breakfast before check-in, yet we were rudely asked if we had free breakfast included for our rooms by breakfast staff. Rooms were spacious and pretty clean. Only thing was my room had mold scent. Great comfortable beds though!

Decent place to stay in Maputo

Considering the city, it was a very nice hotel. We did lose power in our room and had to figure it out ourselves that the breaker in the stairwell had tripped. Also, parking garage a bit of an issue. Nice hot breakfast. Overall a good value and we felt safe in the hotel.

Reception was modern and welcoming as was the room which was comfortable however, the hotel is badly let down by the standard of the hallways/corridors leading to the rooms. On the second floor there was damp evident going up the walls.

Breakfast was OK but could have been better with some butter or jam for the dry toast.

Friendly staff were a bonus.

The 4 star rating I feel is very generous. At best it is 3 star.

The hotel is brand new but a new details are yet to he ironed out. The room was spacious and clean but the telephone did not work so all communication with the reception had to be done in person. The hotel restaurant is average and food takes a long time to arrive. The location is somewhat run down but reasonably safe even after dark.

My name is Obert Ntimane, I booked for 5 rooms and paid for all of them, only to arrive at mid night to be told that the hotel is fully booked, even though we paid in full and received confirmation. we were given vouchers to go to a hotel we don't know. They also did not have rooms and referred us to the third room, eventually slept at 02h00. obviously prices differ.
In short, I demand a written apology about the ill treatment suffered by myself and my family.

On arrival they didn't have rooms with a silly excuse and send us to a different where we slept very little because the AC was not working.The next day they wanted us to remain in these inferior hotel and we left back to original hotel(no transfer from them after waiting more than an hour)back at hotel Maputo we got a room with AC and a nice bed and the nightmare was over...Hotel Maputo needs a lot of TLC but I don't think the owners care,great workers doing a good job for peanuts,sorry that we couldn't help them more.

They sold our room because it was through Orbitz.

Worst experience ever. They sold our room after we stop by two days prior to inform them we will be checking in-late. They had our reservation incorrect. They tried to down grade our room. Terrible service!!!

The hotel dont serve any alcohol and that is not stated anywhere on hotels.com. Even the breakfast was below expectations for a 4 star hotel even the star rating in the hotel only shows 3 stars.

The hotel is guarded parking but when we got to the car the first morning(sunday) the side mirror had been stolen. When we told the reception about it they said that the guard told them that we didnt have a mirror when we arrived, so they made us look like liers. The same thing happen to two other cars in the same parking and they got the same answer. We asked to speak with the manager but we have to wait until monday morning. We got to talk with someone with more responsibilities and still he was referring to the night guard saying that the mirror was missing when we arrived. After convincing him that is was there he then tried to say that we had parked the car outside the hotel parking and they could not be responsible for any loss. We showed him that we were parked just below a sign that said \"reserved parking Hotel Maputo\". He have to check the video surveillance of the parking and we agreed to that knowing that it will show the theft of the mirror. Of course it was something wrong with the video. After 1 hour of discussion he agreed on getting us a new mirror. I drove him to a garage shop and they made a new mirror from glass and cut it to fit the frame of the side mirror. They then glued the mirror to the plastic snap-on fitting and said it was done.

Terrible service, hotel pocketed the difference.

Booked and prepaid for this hotel, on arrival was told there was a problem and we were being over to another hotel near by. This hotel was if a poorer standard and not equipped for international business travel. Hotel Maputo refused to refund the prepaid money so that I could find my own accommodation.... They pocketed the difference as the replacement hotel was much cheaper. The manager would not see me. Terrible service, myself and my colleagues will never book here again.

La chambre de luxe était spacieuse et moderne, avec coin salon. Grand lit King et décoré avec goût. Bonne pression dans la douche et douche pluie. Très bel hôtel.
Seul bémol: les employés sur place semble travailler plus de 12h (de nuit). L’accueil à l’arrivée le soir était un peu froid mais on peut comprendre s’ils travaillent beaucoup trop.
