If you want beach access, this is the place to stay as it’s right across the street! Our room was a sea view and it was stunning! The promenade and beaches were recently put in, with continued construction to expand it further. There is lots to do in the area and the white pebble beaches were amazing but you’ll definitely need water shoes. If you have mobility issues, there is a section of the beach that is designed for those with mobility issues (ramp and sea access via hoist or ladder) and it’s right across the street from the hotel.
Buffets had lots of choice so it was easy to find something we liked. Only challenge we had was the coffee situation. There was a machine to get an espresso but there was only one and the line was backed up.
The included saunas were well appreciated!

The Valamar app is a game changer. A quick way for requesting things such as house keeping. The buffet dinner was overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options.

The hotel is by the seafront & had great seaview but things are very much in progress & felt rather isolated as there is just one corner shop and nothing else nearby. Public transport is non-existent. No buses, too far to walk into town and no shuttle bus from the hotel. Cost us a fortune back & forth into the city centre via taxis. Never jump into a taxis unless you have negotiate a fixed price. They will look for the longest route so they can charge a fortune.

The hotel was nice and the room as well, but the reception service was just average as they maintained a 3:00 pm check-in for us and not others. The waiter in the dining room brought all of our food at once: appetizers, mains, etc. But he apologized profusely when he realized his mistake.

This hotel is lovely, the pool facilities are fab. But it could do with some parts being updated, our shower was in need of that. Cleanliness in the bed room was also not the best. Breakfast was good, apart from the regular breaking down of the coffee machines! But no complaints over all.

Everything was perfect exept the Electric cord. I couldn't charge my phone because the power cord didn't fit. There was no charging system for the charger cord. Fortunately, I was able to safely charge my phone at the reception desk.

I enjoyed my stay but I didn’t give them a five star because the hotel needs better cleaning. My bathroom sower had mold all around the shower. The hallway carpet was so dirty. The pool area wasn’t very clean with mold around the pool glass. The glass around the pool was so dirty also the glass on our balcony was so dirty. Also the hotel on the 1st floor smelled really bad I don’t know if it had to do with the carpet being dirty and getting wet from being on the same floor as the pool it definitely needs a deodorizer in the vents. Overall a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was very good had great options. I would probably stay here again but the cleaning is a must in order for me to stay again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was new and clean, very well maintained. Easy access to the beach as well as “boardwalk” with various beach bars and sun lounger rentals. Beware that sun loungers on the beach will cost you 20€ a day/a piece. The hotel offers a parking garage, which is also 20€ a day. Breakfast options were wonderful. I would skip the dinner buffet as options were slim for the price of 30€ a person. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge in the evening, the staff was very kind and personable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated more transparency regarding the additional surcharges before booking.

We loved the location, up and coming hot spot next to parks and beach. The food was sub par. We ordered several things and seemed like they microwaved frozen food and charged a lot. I don’t mind paying up for a quality service however the staff needs to be trained how to treat the customers. They were very short and even rude.

Check in very slow due to lack of staff, it took 20 minutes. We had lunch in the restaurant it was very poor quality, the burger was not cooked through, the chicken salad was very small, the meal was expensive and not worth it. The outside pool is freezing hardly anyone in it, not enough loungers for the number of guests. The room was ok but not that clean. The shower in the bathroom runs water out onto the floor and there is no way to stop it so had to use lots of towels to mop it up. The staff didn’t seem to enjoy working at the hotel. Overall I would not return to this hotel.

Overall mediocre stay. The roof bar is unfinished with a swamp instead of a pool the staff said they couldn't finish it. There's benches and chairs up there but that's it. The same sad songs and 3 piece band each night in the patio next to the main road is your only source of entertainment. The bar is grossly overpriced, €8.50 for the worst Heineken you'll ever taste.
Balcony had no furniture, there's nothing in the room by way if what's local how to call reception or anything cultural or hospitality wise. Small pool overlook the main road, no music at the pool area.

This place was a hidden gem. My adult kids also did a free Mediterranean bath, which is part of the amenity who would’ve thought this is such a gem and such a beautiful place. The beachfront is right there. Everything is pretty much walking distance. It is one of the most beautiful locations and there’s more to come in the next year or so there’s gonna be so much in front of the beach that it will be just an amazing place to stay at the drinks the rooftop bar the breakfast. Everything was just amazing. What an amazing location.

Awesome hotel in front of the beach. Great stay for families as well as extremely quiet environment. Its also just about 3 kms away from historical downtown Split to be able to make it to town for culture, pictures, great food and some gelatos while your at it. The complete front beach of the hotel is being remodeled so it will look even nicer in the following months

The room was clean and had modern decor. We loved the view of the Adriatic Sea from our balcony. The breakfast was delicious! There was a wide variety of food options to choose from. It even had a cook prepare an omelette exactly how you want it. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was beautiful. There was another pool which also had a view of the sea. It was covered, which was a nice feature so you don’t get too much sun. In addition there was a hot tub you could use. The workout room had lots of modern equipment to choose from to get your exercise in for the day. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

There are hardly any restaurants near the hotel. And the restaurant staff of the hotel is not.reliable.
On first day i went around 5pm to have snacls and drinks in the whole restaurant there were only 5-6 guests but the waiters failed to take an order up to 15min. Didnt even come to take drink orders. I decided to leave. Later i ordered food in my room i orded a veg dish, they brought me a non veg. Pasta.

There have been several negative reviews regarding this hotel and I couldn’t disagree more. Although I can’t comment on the restaurant for dinner - the selection at breakfast is ample. Originally being a party of 10 which became 6 the reception staff were very flexible when I requested to swap all of our rooms around. 3 of us were in an executive room on the 8th floor - this room was brilliant, spacious, 2 toilets with a shower and a bath. Sea view. Towels changed daily. I messaged ahead of our stay and the staff provided a bouquet of flowers balloons and Prosecco. One of our rooms had a faulty tv and they changed it with hours. The only downside we experienced was a sticky door which they did mention in advance. Staff were friendly and efficient - I think some people find them abrupt and rude but I think this can some times be down to a language barrier. The beach front directly in front is now open although still works going on close by - this didn’t impact us at all. Pool area is nice although water is freezing! I door pool jacuzzi and spa treatments are great. We had a lovely stay and would return.

Beautiful, beautiful hotel. Unfortunately, when we visited in September, there was construction going all around the hotel. We were not able to go out and do any walking to the tourist area because of the construction.

This is just about a four star hotel. It lacks the staff attention to detail that is required. Our room was missed for cleaning for 2 of the 6 nights. The staff were unapologetic and the bar prices were eye watering. I understand that the construction will be over in a year or so but we didn't get any warning. It would not take much to get this to a first class hotel.

Amazing hotel, friendly staff, and lovely pool overlooking the sea. Pebble beach on the sea, great with water shoes. There was construction during our stay, but it wasn’t much of an inconvenience… We took Ubers and walked home from the old city and beaches. Highly recommend!

Maybe its due to the construction around the property, but the staff was not trained for this kind of hotel. They were very rude and impolite and not bothered about guest experience as well. The only person who deserved to stay was the guest relations manager. We had to fight for everything- from check in to getting the dinner bill added to the room.

Property is very good but on a website it’s says beach front but there is construction around and only small part available. No umbrellas or chair available. I have to walk 15-20 min to a beach club or take a Uber. Inconvenient. Club charge for chairs and umbrellas arond $ 45 per person.

I booked for a family room to included a sofa bed. There was so sofa bed, but they eventually wheeled in a cot bed. There was looks of cobwebs in the framework of the feature wall behind the bed. Staff was not accomodating. The roof top flooring had many lifted amd broken floor boards. Not what you would expect for a 4 star accomodation.

Clean and modern hotel. Breakfast was delicious with good variety of food. The room was the best part of the hotel; comfortable bed and soft sheets, the bathroom was spacious and clean. The pool area surpassed my expectations; there were two pools , an indoor and outdoor pool with a jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Did not have a great experience at this hotel. Did not have a smooth check-in - was given a food voucher to make up for it - tried to use said food voucher and was told I could not. Everyone who works at this hotel is miserable and rude. No one smiles. I was there for 4 nights and my room was cleaned once. There is a ton of construction around the hotel so the view is no longer nice. The food was sub-par. I would not recommend and I will never be returning.

Beautiful hotel, and nicest hotel pool I’ve ever enjoyed. Service was very good. The only issue is the construction on the beach area during the day, which creates a lot of noise and dust. One area of beach was still open, at least, and the water is amazing.

We had the sea view room, and it was perfect. Staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean. The view was great (there is construction currently but it didn't upset our view) the SPA was one of the best I have been too. I would also say it has the best breakfast buffets ever. Through my own experience I tend to avoid these in hotels as they are never normally as good as restaurants, but the quality that is served was outstanding for a buffet. I would happily visit again

This is a first class hotel and I really enjoyed my stay here. I traveled during low season (stayed for a little over a week) and the staff took great care of me. I had a massage at their spa and it was also wonderful. The massage therapist was one of the best I've had. This hotel has great amenities -- pool, spa, and it's right by the beach, perfect for morning and evening walks. The area is safe, good for female solo travelers. This hotel is not at the city center. While it is close to the beach, it's not close to many restaurants or grocery stores or pharmacies. No close laundromat either. Though there is one grocery store close by, and for me, that was enough. You'd have to take a bus or Uber to the city center. Uber or Bolt cost $10 one-way on average so it's not bad. I thought the food was good at the hotel restaurant, not the best, but good. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the cheesecake is a must and the best I've had!

Overall our stay in Hotel Amphora was very disappointing. Most staff were very unfriendly and really did not want to help with any issues we brought to their attention. The hotel itself is beautiful and has some lovely amenities but it is not being well maintained. There is major construction happening all around the hotel which meant it was extremely difficult to get picked up and dropped off at the hotel. This also meant that we were not picked up as arranged for an excursion we organised through the hotel. I appreciate the construction is not the fault of the hotel but it was not mentioned at any point when booking. The construction started at 7am most days and the bedrooms that were advertised as sound proofed, absolutely were not. We could hear all the construction and our room actually shook every time a door closed nearby. We booked this hotel specifically to be near a beach, beautiful pictures were advertised on Expedia…the beach was closed due to this planned construction the entire time we were there.
We did receive a room upgrade due to VIP access and our room was beautiful. The VIP bottle of wine was only put in our room the day before we were due to leave so we did not have time to drink this.
The daily housekeeping of our room was absolutely minimal, our glasses which we used were never cleaned or replaced and our tea cups were only replaced once in the 7 days we were there.

The hotel is new and beautiful. We had the executive suite and were disappointed that it did not have even a Kitchenette, just a small mini fridge. Other than that bed was supper comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and clean. We liked the fact that the AC would turn off if the balcony doors are open. Great way to save energy. The pools were also very nice, the draw back was the limited hours of the pool bar. Roof terrace and bar was closed for private events the 5 days we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I have tried, with indoor and outdoor seating. The beach in front of the hotel is not one of the most beautiful, but our intention was to explore the islands. The hotel is a 10-15 minutes Uber ride to Old Split and ferries.

Then it’s not comfortable to get 2 separate beds joined when you book one double, at least, again, not for this kind of hotel. But all in all the best of experiences.
