Beware!! Stay elsewhere!! This hotel placed us directly above a wedding that had VERY loud music until 4:30AM. Since there are no phones in the rooms, my husband had to go downstairs at 1:15am to inquire only to be told “sorry, but wedding will go until 4:00am”. This is after I specifically requested a quiet room prior to arriving AND upon our arrival, so this hotel LIED as they obviously knew about this wedding. I have requested a supervisor contact me on 4 separate occasions now only to be transferred from one useless person to another. The small pool was EMPTY, the sauna stunk of sulfur smell and no soap. Only CHEAP shampoo that’s also gel and totally dried out my hair. No conditioner. We had reserved a room with a “partial sea view”, but were given a very partial sea view overlooking the hotel’s smelly trash bins as we were on first floor.

Won't stay again. Service and management is so poor. No help provided with bags for check in. No early check in, and no late check out beyond 1 hour. Someone from housekeeping came into our room an hour before check out with our baby still sleeping. So disruptive! Do not order any drinks at the pool bar, all their glassware is filthy dirty! They recycle food from breakfast to dinner back to breakfast.

Pros: Room was clean and the Breakfast Buffet was ok.
Cons:
1. AMMENITIES: Rooftop bar was closed, Inside Pool was closed, Kids pool was closed, and the Two small pools left were overcrowded. Bars around the pool were also closed. Wellness area was crowded with working Men giving mantainence to the pool, and the floor was all dirty and wet from the work. The jacuzzy was also full of sand or dust inside.
2. You are promess a bottle of wine per stay that is not provided.
3. ROOM: Lock on the door was broken, and matress was really unconfortable.
4. Breakfast: The ham provided was old with a weird smell.

THIS HOTEL IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

The hotel is right by the beach. It is 15 minutes by car from Diocletian's Palace. There's parking space in the street right in front of the hotel. It is on the seaboard and you can walk to plenty of shopping and dining options.
Our room was modern, spacious and there was plenty of light. It had a balcony with sea views. The mattress was sturdy and comfortable. It had a mini fridge though no microwave. The bathroom had a shower and some toiletries.
One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the pool and it did not disappoint. Our son enjoyed it very much. It was a bit crowded but it was large enough. It is surrounded by crystal walls so we were able to see the sun set from the pool. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant but we did not use it.
Breakfast was extraordinary. There were plenty of cold and warm options to choose from and quality was excellent.
Staff was friendly. We asked in the bar for some ice and they had no problem giving us some.

Property location perfect. It seems Property Management is big issue . Air conditioning does not work when temperature was 25 c . Fan given which making more noises so no peaceful nights. Staf in restaurants- breakfast are racist. No duty manager on Sundays. Food standards are openly ignored as vegetarian and allergies information is not clawar . Cross contamination was all kver but staff does not understand and care of customers. If no options in the city choose this hotel.

The room was super modern and clean; breakfast was also included, which is a plus. Our balcony looked over the sea and was amazing. The indoor pool was nice, though the hot tub wasn't hot enough and was pretty small. Too bad when we were there the outdoor pool wasn't open; it looked too nice! Staff were sweet and straight to the point.

The people one floor below us were laughing loudly and yelling….at midnight. The air conditioning was not working and the staff refused to turn it on. We couldn’t open the windows because the people below were so loud we couldn’t sleep! Restaurant was bad.

If you want beach access, this is the place to stay as it’s right across the street! Our room was a sea view and it was stunning! The promenade and beaches were recently put in, with continued construction to expand it further. There is lots to do in the area and the white pebble beaches were amazing but you’ll definitely need water shoes. If you have mobility issues, there is a section of the beach that is designed for those with mobility issues (ramp and sea access via hoist or ladder) and it’s right across the street from the hotel.

Buffets had lots of choice so it was easy to find something we liked. Only challenge we had was the coffee situation. There was a machine to get an espresso but there was only one and the line was backed up.

The included saunas were well appreciated!

Breakfast Buffet was an amazing range of options including eggs cooked exactly to order. Plenty of fruit available as well as cereals, nuts etc.
Staff worked really hard to keep tables cleared for each new customer.
Pool and Wellness Centre were beautifully laid out - provided a relaxing atmosphere. Great range of treatments on offer. Roof top bar is stunning. The hotel provides a very relaxed atmosphere.
The building work nearby forced a road closure but this was outside the control of the hotel.

The hotel is by the seafront & had great seaview but things are very much in progress & felt rather isolated as there is just one corner shop and nothing else nearby. Public transport is non-existent. No buses, too far to walk into town and no shuttle bus from the hotel. Cost us a fortune back & forth into the city centre via taxis. Never jump into a taxis unless you have negotiate a fixed price. They will look for the longest route so they can charge a fortune.
The hotel look fine at first but need further cleaning for a 4*. Curtains riped, walls scruffy, and its generally quite dusty (maybe from the continuous construction work outside). Food at the restaurant was simple with limited options for a buffet and for what they charge. Plate and food was cold and bland & dry. You will see what doesn't get eaten at night will be there for breakfast!
Attitude of staff really need improvement. They're not friendly, nor helpful...just doing their job and nothing more.
Lots of things were broken 4 days we were there. Lifts broke, two coffee machine at breakfast broke, 2 out 3 sockets in our room does not work and one of the flush in our toilet broke.

I enjoyed my stay but I didn’t give them a five star because the hotel needs better cleaning. My bathroom sower had mold all around the shower. The hallway carpet was so dirty. The pool area wasn’t very clean with mold around the pool glass. The glass around the pool was so dirty also the glass on our balcony was so dirty. Also the hotel on the 1st floor smelled really bad I don’t know if it had to do with the carpet being dirty and getting wet from being on the same floor as the pool it definitely needs a deodorizer in the vents. Overall a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was very good had great options. I would probably stay here again but the cleaning is a must in order for me to stay again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was new and clean, very well maintained. Easy access to the beach as well as “boardwalk” with various beach bars and sun lounger rentals. Beware that sun loungers on the beach will cost you 20€ a day/a piece. The hotel offers a parking garage, which is also 20€ a day. Breakfast options were wonderful. I would skip the dinner buffet as options were slim for the price of 30€ a person. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge in the evening, the staff was very kind and personable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated more transparency regarding the additional surcharges before booking.

We loved the location, up and coming hot spot next to parks and beach. The food was sub par. We ordered several things and seemed like they microwaved frozen food and charged a lot. I don’t mind paying up for a quality service however the staff needs to be trained how to treat the customers. They were very short and even rude.

Check in very slow due to lack of staff, it took 20 minutes. We had lunch in the restaurant it was very poor quality, the burger was not cooked through, the chicken salad was very small, the meal was expensive and not worth it. The outside pool is freezing hardly anyone in it, not enough loungers for the number of guests. The room was ok but not that clean. The shower in the bathroom runs water out onto the floor and there is no way to stop it so had to use lots of towels to mop it up. The staff didn’t seem to enjoy working at the hotel. Overall I would not return to this hotel.

Overall mediocre stay. The roof bar is unfinished with a swamp instead of a pool the staff said they couldn't finish it. There's benches and chairs up there but that's it. The same sad songs and 3 piece band each night in the patio next to the main road is your only source of entertainment. The bar is grossly overpriced, €8.50 for the worst Heineken you'll ever taste.

Balcony had no furniture, there's nothing in the room by way if what's local how to call reception or anything cultural or hospitality wise. Small pool overlook the main road, no music at the pool area.

Breakfast was the same everyday but with less and less choice each time.

For business I can see this hotel is acceptable but for a vacation I wouldn't recommend

This place was a hidden gem. My adult kids also did a free Mediterranean bath, which is part of the amenity who would’ve thought this is such a gem and such a beautiful place. The beachfront is right there. Everything is pretty much walking distance. It is one of the most beautiful locations and there’s more to come in the next year or so there’s gonna be so much in front of the beach that it will be just an amazing place to stay at the drinks the rooftop bar the breakfast. Everything was just amazing. What an amazing location.

Its also just about 3 kms away from historical downtown Split to be able to make it to town for culture, pictures, great food and some gelatos while your at it. The complete front beach of the hotel is being remodeled so it will look even nicer in the following months

The room was clean and had modern decor. We loved the view of the Adriatic Sea from our balcony. The breakfast was delicious! There was a wide variety of food options to choose from. It even had a cook prepare an omelette exactly how you want it. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was beautiful. There was another pool which also had a view of the sea. It was covered, which was a nice feature so you don’t get too much sun. In addition there was a hot tub you could use. The workout room had lots of modern equipment to choose from to get your exercise in for the day. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The quality of dinner in the restaurant was mediocre and I do not reccommmend the mussles.

There are hardly any restaurants near the hotel. And the restaurant staff of the hotel is not.reliable.
On first day i went around 5pm to have snacls and drinks in the whole restaurant there were only 5-6 guests but the waiters failed to take an order up to 15min. Didnt even come to take drink orders. I decided to leave. Later i ordered food in my room i orded a veg dish, they brought me a non veg. Pasta.

There have been several negative reviews regarding this hotel and I couldn’t disagree more. Although I can’t comment on the restaurant for dinner - the selection at breakfast is ample. Originally being a party of 10 which became 6 the reception staff were very flexible when I requested to swap all of our rooms around. 3 of us were in an executive room on the 8th floor - this room was brilliant, spacious, 2 toilets with a shower and a bath. Sea view. Towels changed daily. I messaged ahead of our stay and the staff provided a bouquet of flowers balloons and Prosecco. One of our rooms had a faulty tv and they changed it with hours. The only downside we experienced was a sticky door which they did mention in advance. Staff were friendly and efficient - I think some people find them abrupt and rude but I think this can some times be down to a language barrier. The beach front directly in front is now open although still works going on close by - this didn’t impact us at all. Pool area is nice although water is freezing! I door pool jacuzzi and spa treatments are great. We had a lovely stay and would return.

This is just about a four star hotel. It lacks the staff attention to detail that is required. Our room was missed for cleaning for 2 of the 6 nights. The staff were unapologetic and the bar prices were eye watering. I understand that the construction will be over in a year or so but we didn't get any warning. It would not take much to get this to a first class hotel.

Staff looked unkempt when we were checking in.
Breakfast subpar at best. Staff eager to clear tables and didn’t allow you to finish breakfast comfortably and at leisure. I had half an eaten plate left and went to refill my drink when they cleared the table.
Room was spacious, but king sized bed actually meant two singles joined by a blanket… not impressed at all. Nothing much else to say about the place. For a four star hotel and it’s prize could be better in a lot of senses.

Hotel and views were beautiful. Pools were great and rooms clean. Breakfast was good, we didn’t eat any other meals at the hotel.
Staff were responsive to sorting a few minor issues very quickly.
The area has a lot of building work and although it didn’t disturb us there were a lot of lorry’s and it was unsightly. I wouldn’t have booked if I had known about building work, irritating that Expedia didn’t notify until after booking confirmed.

I booked for a family room to included a sofa bed. There was so sofa bed, but they eventually wheeled in a cot bed. There was looks of cobwebs in the framework of the feature wall behind the bed. Staff was not accomodating. The roof top flooring had many lifted amd broken floor boards. Not what you would expect for a 4 star accomodation.

Did not have a great experience at this hotel. Did not have a smooth check-in - was given a food voucher to make up for it - tried to use said food voucher and was told I could not. Everyone who works at this hotel is miserable and rude. No one smiles. I was there for 4 nights and my room was cleaned once. There is a ton of construction around the hotel so the view is no longer nice. The food was sub-par. I would not recommend and I will never be returning.

Hotel conditions is very bad, very worn and bad maintained in general.
Getting out of the area is a nightmare because there is construction on the main road and getting a taxi or uber is so complicated and takes ages.
Service from reception staff is awful and not friendly, I didn’t get housekeeping during my stay.
I didn’t get any of my Expedia VIP services.
Definitely would not recommend this hotel at all in Split.

Beautiful hotel, and nicest hotel pool I’ve ever enjoyed. Service was very good. The only issue is the construction on the beach area during the day, which creates a lot of noise and dust. One area of beach was still open, at least, and the water is amazing.

Looks like construction is a large project that will last most of 2024, but once it’s finished it will be amazing. I’d love to come back after it’s completed.

We had the sea view room, and it was perfect. Staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean. The view was great (there is construction currently but it didn't upset our view) the SPA was one of the best I have been too. I would also say it has the best breakfast buffets ever. Through my own experience I tend to avoid these in hotels as they are never normally as good as restaurants, but the quality that is served was outstanding for a buffet. I would happily visit again

Amazing property, major constructio going on outside. The female staff was cold and distant for some reason but the male staff was very friendly. Housekeeping was terrible, 4pm after complaining and 3 pm the next day. Shining star was Carla the concierge and Martin the bartender.

This is a first class hotel and I really enjoyed my stay here. I traveled during low season (stayed for a little over a week) and the staff took great care of me. I had a massage at their spa and it was also wonderful. The massage therapist was one of the best I've had. This hotel has great amenities -- pool, spa, and it's right by the beach, perfect for morning and evening walks. The area is safe, good for female solo travelers. This hotel is not at the city center. While it is close to the beach, it's not close to many restaurants or grocery stores or pharmacies. No close laundromat either. Though there is one grocery store close by, and for me, that was enough. You'd have to take a bus or Uber to the city center. Uber or Bolt cost $10 one-way on average so it's not bad. I thought the food was good at the hotel restaurant, not the best, but good. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the cheesecake is a must and the best I've had!

Overall our stay in Hotel Amphora was very disappointing. Most staff were very unfriendly and really did not want to help with any issues we brought to their attention. The hotel itself is beautiful and has some lovely amenities but it is not being well maintained. There is major construction happening all around the hotel which meant it was extremely difficult to get picked up and dropped off at the hotel. This also meant that we were not picked up as arranged for an excursion we organised through the hotel. I appreciate the construction is not the fault of the hotel but it was not mentioned at any point when booking. The construction started at 7am most days and the bedrooms that were advertised as sound proofed, absolutely were not. We could hear all the construction and our room actually shook every time a door closed nearby. We booked this hotel specifically to be near a beach, beautiful pictures were advertised on Expedia…the beach was closed due to this planned construction the entire time we were there.
We did receive a room upgrade due to VIP access and our room was beautiful. The VIP bottle of wine was only put in our room the day before we were due to leave so we did not have time to drink this.
The daily housekeeping of our room was absolutely minimal, our glasses which we used were never cleaned or replaced and our tea cups were only replaced once in the 7 days we were there.
The spa and pool facilities were really beautiful but are not being cared for.

There is construction going on around the hotel. The room was poorly cleaned, the windows were very dirty. we wanted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, but as a result of waiting, no one approached us at the restaurant reception desk, and the waiters were minding their own business

Hotel could be great but cleaning is terrible windows dirty shower screen covered in water marks and the soaps ect not filled up again after use unless u asked along with any other amenity considering paying over £100 a night I would expect things to be replenished

Excellent stay in Split

Nice, modern hotel across the street from the beach, only about 15 minutes from the Old City by taxi. Clean, modern, spacious room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Friendly staff. Best breakfast buffet I have ever seen! Attached is the view from our room.
