The property was not a castle , but it was just as nice to stay at. Convenient walk to town , they had a wonderful pool at the property and hot tub ! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the property. We had a great made to order breakfast in the morning. Your restaurant staff were attentive, friendly and professional.. 👏👏👏. Would highly recommend this hotel if you’re in this part of Ireland. Only negative they played American music in the lounge . 😩

Our room safe would not lock but we were provided with safe keeping of our valuables in the property main safe. Overall we really loved this property and would recommend it.

This property is part of a few proeprties. Ensure you park in the designated spaces - there are above and below ground spots, included in the room rate. Used the hot tub, didn’t know that they require bathing caps on to use the pool. Restaurant was very good, had live music the night we were there. Spacious room and very close to the town - we walked into town for breakfast. Would recommend

We had a really enjoyable stay. All the staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was delicious, as was the meal we had in the bistro.
There was a good selection of drinks available at the bar, and the nightly entertainment was good fun.
The room was very clean and comfortable, and the pool looked very inviting, even though we didn't get a chance to use it this time.
We will definitely return sometime, as there is a lot more to explore in Westport.

Hotel has a really bizarre layout and seemed dated generally. The pool is part of a club that others in the community use. As a result it wasn’t as resort/family friendly as we are used to. For example our 11 year old needed to wear a swim cap while in the pool and wasn’t permitted to use the hot tub. A bit disappointing as she was looking forward to using a pool. Location is great though.

Excellent hotel, just a pity our view was to back overlooking bins and food entrance yard and lorry arrives at 7.am each morning. Food was excellent as were staff. My only gripe was in the bar/lounge at closing time being asked to stand for \"the soldiers song\" (Irish National Anthum.) I am not a bigot, have stayed in Donegal dozens of times, had holidays all over Europe and never heard a national song being played, surely Castlecourt Hotels Ireland needs to step out of the 1960/70s and move on in life.

Breakfast buffet selection

There is a breakfast buffet for things such as fruit, serial, croissants, juice. But you order your main breakfast from a menu and this is served to you.

The full irish breakfast was overcooked. It would be way better if they had a self service buffet, the best berakfast selections i have ever experienced are all in Scandinavian countries. Managemnet should have a look at this, much healthier and tastier, and less staff required. (I travel for a living, stayed in 30 hotels around scandanavia and Europe last year, so please take thus as a constructive observation).

We enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is lovely and has all the faciliities you could ask for in a break away. Including a Gym, Spa and swimming pool. The beds were very comfortable which would be a big thing for me, i love my sleep, the room was hot as there is no air conditioning but it was August. The food in the dining room wS lovely, the service was brutal in the dining room, wrong orders been brought to the table, confusion a d inexperienced staff seemed to let this one area down. Be prepared to speak up in this department.

This elegant hotel is situated in the centre of Westport, in the middle of private parkland. A selection of restaurants, shops, bars and pubs are all to be found within 500 m of the hotel.

The nearest nightclub as well as public transport are located within 1 km of the hotel, easily within walking distance. The coast (with beaches) is only around 6 km away.
