We had a great stay in a wonderful 2-BR cabin right off of a ski slope. The cabins are really well designed and new! It had a huge walk-in shower. There were large flatscreen TV’s on the wall in the bedrooms which we really enjoyed having. It had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee bar. It is a short walk to the fabulous golf course right down the road. My husband and daughter loved the swimming pool, which was nice and warm. The restaurant in the main lodge was awesome. We will definitely be back!

One of our rooms was spacious, clean and all mechanical working properly. The second room, which I stayed in, had a space heater on the floor and a window air conditioner (which was noisy and not keeping the room cool). Can tell attempted to updated the room, but it is an older resort and they took a cheap approach when remodeling the older rooms. Bathroom was not very usable, had a pedal sink, no where to place anything, walkway into the bathroom had a incline I stumbled over the first time. It is not marked and not really visible. Shower had cracked tile and patched areas, very low shower head. They do have newer cottages to stay at but would need to walk uphill to get to the pool, hot tub, bar, dining area, which is a draw back for some. I would not want to stay in the hotel area again, might consider the cottages, due to them being new and more modern.

Check in was smooth. I would recommend this motel for sure. We don't golf or ski but we found plenty to do in the area and took advantage of Famers restaurant on site. The only thing I would want is a microwave in the room. There is one in the lobby for everyone to use but....

The hot tub, pool and sauna were wonderful.

A few months back we drove 5 hours to stay at this beautiful resort. After being checked in for about an hour we decided to go look at the pool. My 5 year old daughter was so excited to go swimming that she was skipping down the hallway. After we got back to the room & started getting ready for the pool, we received a phone call on our room phone asking if we had a child in the room. First off what a weird question. After responding yes, we were told that my child was being obnoxious & that we needed to keep it down because the owners were staying there & complained. I was absolutely flabbergasted. I thought my husband was joking at first. My child skipped maybe 10 steps down the hallway & that is considered obnoxious? It also was early in the evening & the resort was not busy whatsoever. We immediately packed up our stuff & went to another hotel. We were shocked & couldn't believe what had happened. You'd think the owners of the hotel would want a positive customer experience. We will never go back.

Pros: cabins were recently renovated, the pool and restaurant were both good

Cons: cabin was not clean. Every surface dusty, dead bugs in corners, mirror wasn’t cleaned, floor had dirt and black hairs all over it (we both don’t have black hair or pets with us so it wasn’t from us.) The bed and towels were clean which I was thankful for but everything else could have used some more attention.

the condo was in run down condition and not very clean. The fireplace and dishwasher wasn’t working, the sliding door took two people to open, the kitchen was not fully stocked with basic necessities, the main bathroom was in poor condition with the toilet seat and toilet paper holder falling off, and needing more toilet paper.
The beds were very comfortable and the views of the ski lifts and skiers was fun. It was convenient to the ski jump event. The hotel needs better staffing, it’s the second time in 5 months that we’ve been there and the restaurant had only one server and took an hour to get our food. It’s such a great resort if it was better staffed and would be updated and in better condition.

The cabin suite was absolutely stunning. You have a view of the entire ski resort in your front porch and in the back you have the woods area that looked awesome in the snow.

However, upon entering the cabin we noticed a huge amount of ladybugs and dead bugs in the room. We called front desk to double check and they let us know that during the cold months, they tend to get in when front door is opened and closed frequently (makes sense, the cabin is basically out in woods so there would be bugs around trying to get to warmth of cabin). After the call, they did have cleaning crew come and pick up some of the bugs and they were very understanding and kind which was nice. Although it is expected, it was a bit unfortunate because along with that, it was evident that the room was not cleaned before hand. A lot of dust in places, the counters of some of the table tops were sticky with leftover residue of some sort and we had stained bedsheets.

Overall, the stay was nice but we might have not gotten the best experience because of insufficient cleaning.

First of all the stairs were covered in snow, never once did they shovel.Inside there dead ladybugs and flys on the floor,qhen i cleaned them up thefloor was very dirty. I killed over 100 live lady bugs, i kinda get it with the weather change BUT it was really gross. Inside the microwave there were a bag of nuts, cheeze its and cookies. Clearly they did not clean. Really liked the idea of the cabin.

We had an amazing time staying at Pine Mountain! My adult kids and grandkids stayed at the Alpine Haus and loved it. I stayed in the Lodge in. King room and it was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and had everything I needed. Famer’s restaurant is one of our favorite places and we had a great time with wonderful food and drinks for both lunch and dinner.

Not worth the price

I would have thought with the word \"resort\" on the name, it would have been at least clean. Our floor left our feet black, the white bedding had makeup on it, greasy fingerprint smears on the TV, food crumbs on the nightstands and garbage under the beds.

If you want a quick meal, avoid the restaurant downstairs. We were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant. Our server spilled a drink on a phone and did nothing to wipe it up, just apologized while the rest of us threw our napkins to save the phone.
Our server didn't come back to ask if we needed anything or to refill drinks.
Food was good but when it came to the bill, we waited 20+ minutes after asking for to go boxes to get it. And then another 20 for her to come back around to ring it up.

Normally, I'd chalk it up to just an off night but the following morning breakfast was even worse. We received our food over an hour after ordering. We asked our server when the food would be ready, she stated they were plating it now...it came out 15 minutes later. And again, we waited 30 minutes for the bill & to be rung up.

Our awesome cabin stay in the UP!!

We truly enjoyed staying at Pine Mountain Lodge in the cabins. Accommodations were excellent. Great living room with a large screen TV as well as the two bedrooms.
Bathroom had a very nice shower, the mirror was super cool with its own light and defrost.
I know this cabin would be an amazing place to stay in the winter for the ski season!! Great view of the ski hill.

This resort represents a great value. Most areas were solidly very good for the price we paid for a summer stay. The grounds were naturally beautiful. We enjoyed the UP sports hall of fame in the restaurant. Prime rib on Saturday night was quite good and well priced but accompanying potatoes were nearly raw. Kitchen staff may need a bit more training to work that out.

Room was NOTHING like the picture. overpriced!

Did not try the restaurant or bar due to the negative reviews of it from locals so I can’t comment on that.

The good- Bed was very comfortable and it had a nice view from the balcony. The pool room/sauna/locker area is well maintained and the front desk has fresh towels for the pool. They will also give you warm cookies anytime you ask. The staff was very friendly.

Now the bad - it was about $150 a night for a double room. It was so tiny and the air conditioner was so small it never stopped but never got below 70. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in the hall or rooms next door. They allow dogs and there was one across from the room with a super loud bark. A group of golfers stayed near my room and were up super late on a Sunday night even though quiet time is ten pm.

Several things were in need of repair in the room, tissue holder broken, toilet paper holder came off the wall, no microwave in the room, no ice bucket. Paint was covered in stains when shined with a blacklight. Bathroom trim was starting to peel. Shower knob was shin high and the shower was tiny with no doors so water went all over the floor if you used it. It took at least five minutes to get hot water. The main lights in the room and bathroom are super bright you almost need sunglasses. The bathroom light shines right on the bed so you’ll blind anyone trying to sleep.

No dresser in the room and it had a very strange layout, smaller than a studio apartment.

The A/C was not working, and the outside temp was in the 90's. Could not sleep. The shampoo/conditioner/liquid soap dispensers were broke so I had to physically remove them from the wall to use them. The service in the restaurant was terrible for both my dinner and breakfast. I was ignored by wait staff. My breakfast was not what I ordered and was burnt.

We had THE BEST stay with our dogs in cabin 5! The cabin was spacious, accommodating and so clean. Our ONLY complaint was the corners of the bed frame were very sharp and stuck out. We all skinned our legs at some point! I wish the dog fee wasn’t so much, but we will be back!

We drove 5 hours to Michigan to see a cabin for sale and stayed here. We have three children under the age of 8. The cedar house we stayed in was absolutely tremendous for our family of five! Separate kids and parents bedrooms, a living room, a washer and dryer which came in handy to dry off everyone’s swimsuits ! The pool was very large and our kids had a blast and mom and dad loved the very hot hottub! The location of the property was dreamy… we saw deer right off our balcony and a beaver that would visit in morning and night. We honestly couldn’t have designed a better hotel room if we tried. For a family of five the room or mini apartment as we called it, was phenomenal ! The staff were all so happy and cheery and made you feel happy to be there. Overall it was a fabulous experience and we will definitely be back !

You can tell staff is needed, it took around 15 min to check in as the receptionist was on the phone and had another people waiting, we “had” to be upgraded -to a One bedroom which it was nice, however we could hear EVERYTHING from the guests upstairs, the room was given to us early, which was nice but it wasn’t exactly ready. Then at the restaurant it took about an hour to get a ceasar salad and 2 drinks, you could hear other customers complaining about the waiting time too.

Dog friendly mountain getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. The best thing is how pet friendly they are. Everyone loved our dog and he was happy to get the attention. They even gifted us dog bowls and treats when we checked in.
The grounds are beautiful and the mountain is fun to explore. We took the stairs to the top of the ski jump and the view is breathtaking. Overall, it's a beautiful resort with character and a little something for everyone.

The parking situation for the guest was very poor. There was another ski, jumping event being held. Which limited the parking for the guests of hotel. I was told prior to that that all I had to do was show my reservation and that I would have a parking spot during the event in the hotel parking lot when I arrived. There was no parking available. I had to park a long ways away from the hotel, which was inconvenient. I would think that paying $300 for a night at your hotel you would at least provide parking for the guest in the actual hotel parking lot, not mile and a half away. Other than that, the employees were courteous and understood my dissatisfaction in the parking situation. I would hope that you would rectify the parking situation prior to next year‘s event.

We love Pine. Great skiing. Very family friendly. I love the real wood fire pit outside with lounge chairs. Sitzmark bar Ana music is awesome. Hotel rooms are a bit sketch, our door to the bathroom did not open all the way as it hit the toilet. But still comfy bed, pillows. New condo/ duplex rentals. Only rant is the darn restaurant. It's been an issue in the past And i generally avoid it. This weekend it was snowing and adults had a drink while kids swam. Decided to eat at restaurant. We did have a larger group which can be a challenge but adults decide to have kids eat first, while we wait in the bar area. 8 Kids order noodles, hamburgers And chicken strips. It took 2 hours for the order to come out!!!!!!! It was not that busy in the restaurant. There seemed to be adequate staff And 2/3 people in the food prep area. I suspect this is a constant problem. Please just limit your menu to 4/5 items and do it well. We've been to Pine many times over the last 5 years And the restaurant has always been an issue... plan to eat out!!

The room was small, as was the bathroom. They had full beds, not queens so it says it sleeps 4, but it's tight quarters. The heater wouldn't respond very well, so sometimes it would stay on and roast our little room. Lucky, the windows opened, and we had a great view of the patio.
Besides that, it was outstanding, and we are already planning another day trip to ski and board! Yes, great restaurants, solid food at a good price. The staff was very friendly, we are complete beginners, but still, equipment rental was very easy. The bunny hill was the prefect place to spend two days with my family falling down and getting back up. Lucky i had some people to give a zero experience, 30 some good pointers. Friendly staff, nice people!

Room was dirty, had flies dead around the room, looked like it had not been cleaned or vacuumed. No hot water working in room sink or shower.

Rented a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. Left right after we checked in. Filthy in every room. All the blinds in all rooms were broken. The screen door for the balcony wouldn't open. We went down the road to the Marriot.

The con to staying at this property was the amount of dogs in the hotel. It was actually a little scary walking down the hallways and having what seemed like large dogs barking loudly and jumping at the doors as you walked by. And the barking ALL NIGHT LONG was exhausting! I'm pretty sure these dogs were left in the rooms all day alone while the owners were put biking the trails.
