Staff can't do enough for you. The sea is crystal clear with a great variety of fish to sea.
The food was amazing. Recommend booking the restaurants at reception to ensure you get the chance to visit.
I can't remember seeing any rubbish anywhere and rooms were well cleaned every day.
Only downside is there was no air con in the restaurants. But that's a tiny point.

Me and my wife loved to stay at RIU at the Maldives, the island is beautiful and we truly enjoyed our time there.
I was a bit disappointed at the beginning as the reception was a bit impersonal not expected at all in a place like that.
Completely hated the booking system through the app, and didn’t like the fact that the 2 other restaurants were very difficult to book.
I have booked this trip to celebrate my wife 50 special birthday and had extremely high expectations but I felt the reception staff a bit cold and not interested.
After my feedback we got some help in the end.

I really loved the view from the junior overwater suite, the alcoholic beverages in the room were great too, it meant I didn’t have to use the pool which was always quite busy, big area of improvement is the quality of food in the buffet restaurant, most of the time the food is so overdone that it becomes inedible, albeit there is lots of variety but most of the food is lacking taste, additionally the offerings at the restaurants Sofia and Steakhouse are just taken from the buffet which is a little pointless, some of the food is also stale, I would return to this hotel if it wasn’t for the food quality, the staff are super friendly and respond to your every request. Internet is quite slow. Rooms are modern and super clean always.

Everything was great just if it’s possible to consider would be great to improve the options to reach rooms located far away I noticed some people in wheelchair having a hard time. For the rest of people having bones would it be great.

The Location was awesome, with the sea and beach quality and nearby reefs, just what you expect from the Maldives.
The staff were lovely and friendly.
The hotel itself lets the stay down, with less than attractive looking villas, dull entertainment (singers / bands), poor water sport options, which are pricey and limited.
And Ultimately, when you book a hotel that states having standards, dress codes and adult only facilities, you expect this to be the case. If people cannot abide by the description, then staff should uphold the standards the advertise. This i found was really annoying.

This was the ultimate vacation in relaxation. Singhe at the Sunshine pool bar kept the drinks flowing and every single person was personable, friendly, and helpful.

Food was great. I don't travel for food though so as long as there is food, I'm happy.

Snorkeling is amazing.

Water, unbelievably warm.

Between meals, the snack choices were limited, but there was always something to choose from.

Rooms were impeccably clean and the grounds were immaculate.

Quality of food is extremely poor. The wine offered is not drinkable. All spirits are poor quality. The beddings sheets and blankets are poor quality. All the food in the buffet is served under heat lamps which dries out the food. The salad bar often has rotten veggies. The pool is extremely dirty. Bar service is very slow and often takes 20 mins to receive your drink. Many staff are not properly trained in customer service.

I thought I already did an outstanding review of Riu Atoll. But here are some of the raves I can say about them. From the time we got greeted at Velana Airport, it was flawless. Transfer/Sales manager Jack and Ahmed are so professional, courteous, kind, and friendly. Front desk manager Ibrahim and his staff are always so helpful. The grounds are always kept clean. The restaurants and swim up bar staff are professionally trained. Very attentive, courteous, friendly, and loves their job assisting us with anything we need. They even know our drink orders already when they see us coming in. The food is always so tasteful and the chef changes the selection almost everyday. The water-sports team is the same… professional, courteous, friendly, and goes above and beyond. Just to name a few staff that needs kudos are Alps, Shami, Yana, Francis, Michelle, Anna, Rose, Ibrahim… and many more. Thank you all for the wonderful week we had. Hoping to come back some day.

As soon as you get out of Velana International airport, Riu Hotel have someone to take care of you with the transfers. We were greeted at the resort with flawless check in. Overwater suite 3028 have all the amenities mentioned and a perfect spot for sunsets. The restaurants and bars have an outstanding customer service. The housekeeping department did not fail making up our room and refilling the mini bar. The grounds of the hotel is always kept clean. The food at Dhoni’s buffet restaurant have an array of selections for all. The resort is an excellent one if you’re looking for worry free vacation. The included water sports is amazing as well as their staff Shami, Francis, and Yana (scuba instructor). I have to specifically mention Jack for communicating flawlessly and Ahmed for taking care of us at the airport. Thank you for the wonderful 7days at your resort.

Only issue was the food. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all buffet style. Some people loved it and plate after plate. Others would find a few safety foods and stick with those.

Very nice island. It is all inclusive so there are many things to do. There is a show at night, sometimes even. We found plenty to occupy us. We had a beach room, so we could step right out onto the white beach and into the warm water.
The room itself was adequate. There is a small couch, and a variety of satellite channels to watch. They stock your mini fridge originally with 2 cokes, 2 coke lights, 2 fantas, 2 lion beers, and 2 Carlsberg beers. They also provide plenty of water. I requested more coke light, and it took a while to provide. The bathroom is nice, but don't expect a tub. The shampoo they provide is in a push dispenser mounted to the shower wall, and it also doubles as a body wash.
The ocean is very clear and warm. It is very shallow,so you can walk quite a way out. There is also a great snorkeling place at the end of the island. We saw several baby sharks and a small stingray. You will have to bring your own equipment as the water sports operator does not let their equipment be used outside of the little area they have set up in front of their stall. (I mean what is going to happen to their equipment? We are on an island so it can't go anywhere). Also, you will not be able to use the jet skis (additional $150 charge for 1 person) by yourself. You have to follow a guide at a set speed.
The food is pretty good. And, if you drink alcohol, that is included as well. The food variety has Chinese, Indian, Italian..i ran out of space--SO MANY RUSSIANS

Fabulous property! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and the property was super clean from general areas to the guest rooms.

One area I felt the resort fell short in was in the dining offerings and experience. The Italian restaurant and steak house were extremely disappointing.

The Italian restaurant really didn’t offer Italian food and both restaurants did not know how to properly cook meat as they were all very overcooked. Also the wine offerings - I’ve never tasted such horrible wine in my life (not even from a box in my college days). I would advise management to download Vivino and look for good cheap wine offerings. They’re out there. The wines they offered would better pass as vinegar or cooking wine.

We’ve stayed at a RIU property in Jamaica that was vastly superior in their restaurant offerings than this Maldives property. Considering the cost difference between the two properties, it should be the other way around. Management really need to step it up in their food offerings. The dining experience was also very subpar in the special restaurants. This is the one area where staff were subpar and not on par with the rest of the resort experience.

The main restaurant was ok if a little bland/repetitive, but understandable given it’s an all inclusive. All in all it was a great stay that could’ve been an amazing stay/experience had the food/dining experience matched the everything else.

This hotel is all-inclusive which is very attractive. We enjoyed the food and drinks there. However the overall experience was not as good as we expected. We were on our honeymoon but we did not enjoy any honeymoon benefits even after informing them before our trip. We booked King size bed room but they gave us a twin bed room on the first night which really disappointed us a lot. The room has no slippers, no toothbrush and water was leaking from the bathroom. We requested for slippers and toothbrush but reception said that their housekeeping is closed and we have to wait until the next day morning. Overall, the staffs are very nice and friendly but there's definitely a room for improvement on their management.

The whole experience was fantastic! The place, the service, the amenities was excellent. Staff was very friendly, you can do a lot of things there but also be quiet and chill. The view is amazing, clear water, white sand, you can see fishes..and do water activities. There is a lot of coral around the island and food was great. We had a reservation at the steak house restaurant - also included - where we had great steak. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Avis RIU Atoll Maldives

J'ai séjourné 9 jours au RIU Atoll et globalement, c'était une excellente expérience. Le personnel était professionnel et sympathique, toujours à l'écoute. L'île est magnifique et bien entretenue. Ma chambre (suite sur la mer) était spacieuse avec une vue à couper le souffle, bien que la climatisation soit trop froide et que les surfaces glissantes dans la chambre soient un petit inconvénient.

La restauration était un point fort avec une qualité de repas impressionnante, bien que le jus d'orange ne soit pas à la hauteur d’un hôtel de ce standing. Un petit bémol sur la possibilité de ramener de la nourriture en chambre : il faut systématiquement l'accord d'un responsable, ce qui est un peu contraignant pour un all inclusive.

L'incident avec un membre du personnel de ScubaCaribe a été géré rapidement et sérieusement par l'hôtel, mais aucun geste commercial n'a été proposé, ce qui aurait été apprécié.

Le transfert de Malé à l'île de Maafushi est un peu long (attente de plusieurs heures) et le départ très tôt le matin pour mon vol retour aurait pu être mieux géré.

Petit problème de facturation : une différence de prix non justifiée entre ma réservation et le montant final.

Globalement, un excellent séjour avec quelques ajustements à faire. Je recommande !

Un séjour de rêve aux Maldives ! Les chambres sur pilotis offrent un cadre spacieux et apaisant, parfait pour se ressourcer. Le personnel, toujours souriant et attentif, fait vraiment la différence. Côté restauration, les trois restaurants apportent des expériences variées : un buffet correct mais un peu répétitif, le Dhona remarquable pour sa qualité, et le steak du Bref qui rivalise avec les meilleures brasseries françaises. En 12 jours, pas une once d’ennui, la beauté de la nature suffit à émerveiller chaque instant. Une adresse à recommander sans hésiter !

Bodde fem nätter. Vi ville avsluta vår resa med att bara slappa efter att rest runt i Sri Lanka 2,5 vecka. Och det var precis lagom. Allt funkade bra med flyg och båt m.m. Fräscha stora rum. Åt på de två lite \"finare\" restaurangerna en varsin gång då man inte kunde boka dom mer än en gång per vecka. Men, enligt mig så var bufféns mat bättre. Både vin, öl och drinkar var bra kvalitet på. Åt hummer och räkor som var helt fantastiska. Väldigt trevlig personal både i receptionen och restaurangerna. Finns verkligen inget annat att göra än att bada, spela boule, vattengympa m.m. då dom tar hutlöst mycket för både dykning och snorkelturer. Detta var inget resort utöver nåt annat, men lite check på Maldiverna när vi ändå var i närheten. Varit på ett resort i Mauritius där vattenskidor, segling, provdyk m.m ingick. Så nja... Häftigast var havet med 32 grader och snorklingen från stranden där vi såg både haj, rocka och massor med färgglada småfiskar.

Das Hotel liegt auf einem wunderschönen Atoll auf den Malediven. Der herrliche Strand lädt zum Baden und Schnorcheln ein. Für Entspannung ist also gesorgt.
Die Zimmer des Hotels sind geräumig, gut ausgestattet und sauber. Allgemein ist die Sauberkeit im Hotel sehr gut und der Service ist auch klasse, da das Personal auch sehr freundlich ist.
Das Buffet ist jeden Tag sehr üppig und es findet sich für jeden Geschmack etwas. Dass es dabei auch Dinge gibt, die nicht jedem schmecken, sollte logisch sein. Die Öffnungszeiten des Hauptrestaurants sind in der Regel mehr als ausreichend und wer abseits dieser Zeiten noch Hunger hat, kann jederzeit in der Sportsbar etwas snacken.
Die Getränke sind für ein All Inclusive absolut im guten Rahmen.
Wer neben der Entspannung auch etwas Action mag, kann diverse kostenlose Aktivitäten ausprobieren (Stand Up Paddling, Kajak, Tretboot), am Animationsprogramm teilnehmen (u.a. Beachvolleyball, Aquagym, Tischtennis, Fitnesskurse, Yoga Kurse, Bingo, Quiz uvm.), sich auch im Fitnessraum mit Blick aufs Meer betätigen oder sich weitere Wasseraktivitäten dazubuchen (Schnorchelexkursion, Tauchgänge, Wakeboard, Wasserski, Delfintour etc.); diese Kosten allerdings extra.
Beim Abendprogramm wird auch immer etwas geboten (Sunset DJ, Liveband, Parties).

Alles in Allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen und wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
