Everything about the property was perfect for our needs. We stayed in October during Tartufo festival, and one of the wine tastings was at this hotel. perfectly organized and wonderful wine selections. The breakfast is very good, and has several gluten free options as well as a barista to make coffees and cappuccinos. Beds were very comfy and location was extremely quiet. Parking is under the hotel, and you just need to run into the hotel on your arrival and they will open the gate for you. After that you can enter or exit with the room key.

LOTS of restaurants and the entire old town is very walkable.

We love the Calissano! Great, helpful staff and wonderful rooms. The balcony off our suite was a dream. They also keep expanding their breakfast items, so to see vegan croissants and nondairy yogurt was wonderful.

Spent 4 nights at Hotel Calissano in August while doing wine tours. Chose it based on a recommendation from the tour guide and it did not disappoint. Staff was very friendly at the reception, the bar, and the restaurant. It is a five minute walk to the pedestrian zone of Alba so the location is excellent and easily accessible. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station. My room was a good size and very comfortable. Despite being next to the elevator, it was very quiet. Would happily recommend Hotel Calissano and will stay there again the next time I am in Alba.

Alba classy hotel

This hotel is the best that we have stayed in on our current trip of over 30 days. It is a quality hotel located in Alba which is on the edge of magnificent hinterland scenery.
The hotel is well located with good secure parking, a good restaurant and a good quality room. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Incredibly helpful staff from the moment I booked on-line to the check-out process! They really went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and had no issues along the way. Shortly after I booked, I received a phone call from the hotel to ask if I had any questions and to clarify what type of room I needed (I was traveling with my family including two children). They proactively sent a map of the area and suggested making dinner reservations in advance due to the busy nature of the restaurants in the area.

The hotel was nicely decorated and extremely clean. The rooms (we had adjoining rooms) were spacious enough for our family to not be crowded. The hotel is situated nicely in a quiet area that is still very walkable to the main part of town with all of the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay in Alba and would highly recommend the hotel.

Amazing hotel in our night stop in Alba

It was a last minute decision booking as we run out of time for our next distinction. And it turn to be a gold find. The hotel was very exceptional on all sort of way . Near to the center , big and clean and clean room plus with parking. Just the breakfast was a little disappointed not much choice but still good.

We loved this hotel. We didn't realize we booked an apartment, which is next door, but it was PERFECT for us since we were traveling with our adult daughter. It was incredibly spacious with 2 large bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a large bathroom. The service was incredible, the breakfast buffet was amazing, and the finishes, fabrics and extra touches were luxurious. Also, the location is walking distance from excellent restaurants and the shopping district. I plan to go back to Alba soon and will stay here again.

We have stayed at Hotel Calissano on four consecutive visits to Alba, usually in the fall, during truffle season. It feels like home to us. In a world of modern, sterile, cookie-cutter hotels, it's refreshing to stay at a hotel with charm.

The hotel is very convenient to central Alba. It is very neat and clean. The front desk staff with the exception of Bruno who was great, was nice but not as helpful with questions as we've come to expect in Italy. Several times we were left to book things on our own or find out about them ourselves whereas at other properties the front desk staff/concierge would either book a dinner for us or find out the answer to a question if they didn't know.

Convenient Business Hotel near Alba Center

A good, clean and well kept business style hotel that is only 5 minutes walk from the Centro Storico (historic town center) of Alba. Beds were comfortable and breakfast buffet was of an expected quality.

Good base for Piedmont

We were in the area to do some winery visits. As it was off season, it made more sense to stay in Alba, the larger city. Calissano was a great base for that, steps away from the main drag (Via Manzoni) and with convenient parking for the car overnight. The look is slightly dated, but cleanliness and comfort are more than adequate.

Great location and great service

Best service we've ever had at a hotel. When we needed flowers (it was essential), the manager got a florist to open her store and drove my husband to pick them up. Every recommendation the staff gave us was perfect. They're multilingual and pretty much everyone speaks English well. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. It's a five minute walk to the older area of Alba with its historic buildings, shopping and restaurants. Great buffet breakfast. We stayed at the hotel 9 days and can't think of a negative experience there.

Great stay in the Piedmont wine area.

A nice place just a short walk from the center of town. Staff is extremely helpful in planning visits to local wineries and other area attractions. While there, get directions to the hazelnut growing area and try some of the local hazelnut oil. Very yummy.

Luxury in the perfect location!

The hotel staff could not be more accommodating. Check-in was very efficient and friendly. The concierge immediately informed me that the English television stations started at channel 201, which was a frustration at other hotels. He even walked us out to the underground garage to ensure its location and method of entry. The lobby is warm, luxurious and inviting. The room was even more luxurious and a very comfortable size with a king bed and a large modern ensuite. The linens and towels are high-end and the bed was firm and comfortable. The breakfast buffet will amaze with the selection and the staff will attend to your specific cappuccino requirements.

Ótima localização (entre 10 e 15 minutos a pé do centro histórico). Local bem tranquilo, de fácil acesso e com ótimo estacionamento gratuito. El check-in es a las 15.00. Llegamos a las 12. Y nos fuimos a pasear. Volvimos a las 14.30 y nos dieron la habitación a las 15.35. El personal de limpieza de las habitaciones, grita en los pasillos y al limpiar otras habitaciones, mueven las camas haciendo un ruido insoportable. Imposible dormir la siesta.
El restaurant no nos admitió un día porque había un grupo grande.
Destaco la amabilidad del personal y la calidad edilicia como la excelente higiene. Hay un grave problema de organización( management) que empeora porque vienen grupos de gente( tours).

Fantastisk personale.

Det er virkeligt et fremragende personale man møder på Hotel Calissano. Super professionelle på den gode måde, hele vejen rundt. Denne gang var det især den eneste tjener der var i restauranten, der imponerede med sine sprogkundskaber og evne til at alle blev set og hørt og fik man “til tiden”. Sikke et flot fransk der blev talt, til stor glæde for de franske gæster i restauranten.
P-kælderen er virkelig god. Vi havde købt en del vin på turen og det kunne ligge sikkert og ikke for varmt i bagagerummet. Elevator fra p-kælder til alle etager.
Alba er en meget hyggelig by og der er kun 5 minutters gang til byen fra hotellet.
Vi fik skiftet håndklæder hver dag og det var luksus, men unødvendigt hvis man tænker miljø. Kunne også være rart med mulighed for at lave kaffe på værelset, men det er småting. Akustikken i morgenmads restauranten er ikke så god, kom tidligt hvis du vil sidder i nogenlunde ro. Alt i alt, endnu et dejligt ophold.
Vi kommer gerne igen for 4. gang.
