Room was unclean. I step on sharp staples and hurt my foot. A hard plastic with sharp staples was loose from the bottom of bed and I was walking bare feet and stepped on the staples and cut my foot. I was bleeding a little. I applied my own self care. Also, I requested the patio to be cleaned and dusted but it was not done. Staff was unmotivated

It is an old property but the area is amazing and well worth the money. Free kayaks. Mind that it is 20mins taxi from downtown and there is no Uber. I highly recommend it anyway. I will definitively be going back.

Pool concrete and areas did not appear to be up-kept. Gym was in disrepair and unusable, staff said its being remodeled but no work was in process or being done. Disallowed to plug in a rented golfcart. Bicycle rental not available, staff said they were all in maintenance being repaired. Drink service on the beach only available on 1 day. Inadequate quantity of loungers for guests. Food and drink quality not up to par for the price. We asked about paying to upgrade our room with a larger bed and were told the rooms with larger beds do not have a 2nd bed - Yet when we left we saw a 2nd portable bed being removed from another room??? On-site store was permanently closed with a chain on the door and closest store is a 10 minute walk. Beach towels not readily available. Hot water not always available for showering. Staff was nice and did the best they could with their hands tied. Maid service and room quality was great. Pictures of the resort are inaccurate and at least 20 years old. All in all it is a less than mediocre place with very little to do and badly needs a facelift.

First time in Loreto. Got a super package through Expedia. Great location! Great beach! Decent food in both breakfast restaurant and bar restaurant. Within walking distance to several other restaurants and bistros. Don’t miss the rooftop bar of the Aventuras Hotel.
Beautiful landscaping everywhere! Direct flight from Calgary on WestJet. 15 minute cab ride from airport to resort. Wonderful local markets on Friday and Saturday nights. We will absolutely go back!

Upon arrival, was helped by a lovely young lady who spoke English well. She told us we could have a late check out at no extra charge. The next day she wasn’t working and after the check out time when we were checking out, they told me I needed to pay for the extra time. They ended up not charging me after I challenged it. Rooms were nice enough. Two sheets on the bed, no blanket. Towels were a bit threadbare. Food and drinks were very good at the restaurant. Location was beautiful.

The resort is beautiful and located in a really beautiful place, with an incredible beach. Lucky for whoever manages this place, because this almost allows folks to be able to overlook everything else, which was by and large, absolutely awful. The food is so incredibly bad, it’s almost unbelievable. Like, you’d have to try to get to the levels of awful that the food and restaurants are at this resort. Truly incredible. Really bad flavors and cooked to imperfection. Steaks come well done, dried and jerky like, if you order any temperature.

Also, the staff could not be more bothered. I don’t know if this is due to the current climate of our world or what, but front desk, servers, land keepers, whoever! All seem incredibly put off to give anyone ANY attention.

Our experience was surprisingly positive, despite management and staffs efforts to mar it not so.

My stay was in a junior suite, I had booked it because I wanted a view, the room had a partial view of the sea, and golf course, I would say it was a nice view. The room, however was marginally clean, smelled of dust, the windows were dirty, although the bathroom was clean with the exception of the half worn off factory sticker on the base of the toilet, not a big deal, but certainly lends to lack of attention to details. The coffee maker did not work, and there was only one cup provided. The road had a spacious deck, but it was dirty, the outside light did not work, and the single comfortable chair was broken and unusable, the Chase lounge had no pad, leaving a small table with uncomfortable chairs as the only seating. The property is very poorly marked for directions on how to get to your room, no direction/map from the front desk, leading to a lot of walking around through poorly marked corridors, searching for your room. My room was on the third floor, I do believe there is an elevator on the property I did not locate it, requiring hauling luggage up three floors. The bed and bedding we’re not particularly comfortable, but adequate. Most annoyingly, there was no hot water. I believe this was a hotel wide problem, as friends that were staying in a different area of the resort and they also had no hot water. At checkout, I discussed all these issues with the front desk. Staff received cursory apologies, no meaningful explanations or offers to try to make things right.

No good room service, just one bottle of water for the whole week, we were two persons and had only one coffee cup, no spoons. The room was very cold, with not enough blankets. No soap in the bathroom. No Shuffle Service from the airport, just depending of a single and super expensive taxi service. No good restaurant service for breakfast. We were extremely disappointed in our selected master suite. We selected this room based on the pictures and description found on Expedia's site. The hotel staff were very accommodating and did find us another suitable room. The manager told us they were unable to compensate us for the difference in cost of rooms, as we booked them on Expedia. They advised us to contact Expedia, which I did.
Other than that....The room was clean, staff was accommodating, food was good, peaceful stay.

One night the hotel was building a stage for a party - the loud construction noise and the noise of two huge generators was unbearable. The hotel failed to inform guest about this until last minute. So the staff at the front desk is amazing. Dianara and Francisco were great. The hotel its self is beautiful. The property is nice.. BUT the beds the BEDS are horrible.. its like sleeping on a freaking hammock. Also the pavers and walking paths are not well lit and are broken so if your not stable on your feet be careful and via con dios.
The pool was super freezing cold and the jacuzziwas boiling hot.. the food is not great and the portions are small. But it was all that they had to eat there. Literally not even a vending machine for waters or sodas.
The best item was a burger but who goes to Mexico for burgers. And the 4 wedges of fries.. is uneventful. The property is far from the town of loreto each cab ride was 20 some bucks each way.
The plus side is that the property is on the beach

Whilst we have stayed here several times before this has got to be the very worst stay EVER! The towels are full of holes, aged and hard. The linen/sheets did not fit the beds. The fan was extremely dirty. Rooms and bathrooms are dated and faucets are no longer firm in the sink. Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and bar service was exceptionally slow. We paid for the premier room at the beach. The deck was nice and large yet there was no warm water for the jacuzzi. It’s time for a serious upgrade to this hotel!!

They have a serious problems with the sewerage smell in the bathroom.
Tried to have lunch in the restaurant that was supposed to start at A12:30 pm and it was 12:45pm and still not even a waiter in sight!!!
Jacuzzi that was supposed to work from 9 am to 9 pm , jajaja only used as little pool by kid's…
Ask for a towel for the palapa seats by the beach and the reception employe told me that they would have cleaned ones in 20min. yea right jajajaja
Men’s bathroom by the cactus restaurant, had the two only urinals covered with plastic (obviously out off order) and had to pee in a dirty toilet, on the night just before there New Year’s Eve party event..
Overall a much needed maintenance in all the resort!!!
And last : WiFi that came and went by the lobby. Obviously no signal in my room. And the only excuse for all this issues was that is the low season and not enough personnel.

Disappointing stay. Staff is not helpful and although the hotel is outdated it is also not clean. We booked an ocean view room and were given a room facing the desert. After asking about the reservation they said sorry they didn’t have ocean view that day. We upgraded to a master suite and the room smelled awful and the spa was dirty with standing water as well as standing water in the shower. The pool was also dirty and seemed oily. The beach out front was not swimmable because of jelly fish which stung multiple people but the hotel did not have any warnings about that. The breakfast was ok, and the restaurant was the only spot in the hotel with welcoming staff. The hotel doesn’t offer money exchange, does not have an ATM and will not give you change for larger bills so come prepared. We have been to Loreto a few times but will not stay here again.

Took us at least 30 minutes to check in. They couldn’t find our reservation. When they did, it still took them awhile to get it finalized. We were tired after a 14 hour drive. The bathrooms in the lobby were disgusting with clogged toilets. Then when we got to our room we had NO TOWELS. Not even a hand towel. Went back to the front desk and they wanted to give us pool towels. Then only gave me 4 bath towels. The restaurant is overpriced and the service is mediocre I had to ask the server to come to the table twice - she was sitting on her phone. The food was okay. The hotel is right on the beach and the rooms are good. Just needs some lessons in customer service and amenities.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Only two or three staff members seemed to genuinely care about serving guests. The resort was extremely quiet, yet many of the amenities were either closed or not working properly.

Breakfast was terrible — we would have rather spent the extra money eating at one of the restaurants just outside the resort. The pool was infested with bees; at one point, my fiancé removed over 40 bees from the pool after a guest was stung. No staff stepped in to help — they sat on their phones watching him do what should have been their responsibility.

Pool service was essentially nonexistent. We had to get up almost every time to order food or drinks. The room itself was just okay, nothing special.

There were multiple staff members smoking at a closed bar near the pool, and the smoke blew directly toward us despite “no smoking” signs posted throughout the property.

Overall, the staff had a very poor attitude toward guests and showed little interest in fixing issues or offering help. We were also told that complimentary bikes were available for guest use, then later told they didn’t work when we asked. Ironically, a different staff member simply inflated a tire a few hours later and gave us bikes with no issue — it seemed the earlier staff member just didn’t want to do their job.

In the future I would definitely rent and air bnb from the loreto bay community and skip the resort entirely. No worth any money! Don’t ruin your vacation.

We stayed four nights at the property. First were assigned room number 130, the room had rodent (rat) droppings, runny toilet. We asked to talk to the manager, they gave us her name.”Claudia” but she refused to talk to us. They changed our room to room number 107, the room had musty smell, after a couple of hours, we realized bubbling on the ceiling of the room and the water was dripping on us. There was a leak on the second floor that was affecting our room. So we asked them to change our room again, so finally they gave us a room on the second floor, which was acceptable. In our four days stay, we had to change our room three times. I don’t suggest anyone stay in this property. It has many maintenance problems. Location, wise, it is excellent.

Unacceptable Staff Interactions and Threats
The issues began immediately upon arrival with the bellman/baggage porter. While initially jovial, his demeanor quickly changed. Without any prior warning or cause, he aggressively stated that our family would \"go to jail if we were loud after 10 PM,\" a completely unprompted and threatening comment. His attempt to instruct us to use a mini-fridge was confusing, as we already had one in our room. The final interaction with him was highly unprofessional: he became visibly upset and threw the tip back at myself and our two family members. We actively avoided this individual for the remainder of our stay due to this rude and unsettling encounter.
Critical Housekeeping and Supply Deficiencies
The standards for room upkeep and supplies were shockingly low, creating persistent discomfort throughout the week:
Towels: The bath towels provided were in horrible condition, featuring visible holes and being so thin you could see through them. We were never provided with hand washcloths or hand towels. When we requested just one extra bath towel, the housekeeper had to make three separate phone calls to receive permission, illustrating poor process control.
Toiletries: Despite repeated requests (twice), we received hair conditioner but never received shampoo. We also had to specifically ask for a bar of soap, which should be a standard provision.
Cleaning: The room was notably dirty upon arrival, and the floor was never cleaned during our stay.

The area where it is located is beautiful, our hotel room was very spacious but needs remodeling (rusty faucet, humidity bumps in ceiling, nasty smell coming from shower drain), room was very clean. An easy 15 minute drive from Loreto on a well paved road. Restaurant is good and employees are very nice and helpful except the guy that is supposed to help with your luggage he just stood in the reception area doing nothing.

Location cannot be better. This hotel has hands-down the best beach in Loreto. I snorkeled every day and saw lots of marine life. Every day. Kayaking is also fun. Hotel has seen its best days, but staff is willing to help out with any issues. Area around the hotel has a few restaurants and convenience shops for when you get tired of the hotel's. Months June through August might be too hot to be comfortable but the ocean remains cool enough to swim and cool down.

Room was not kept clean in some aspects like the shower and bathroom altogether. The extractor was full of dust/dirt. We were only given 2 coffee cups and I asked for 3 since there were 3 of us I never got them even when asking on different days and staff. They forced us to tip in the restaurant by the pool, had no option to adjust even though we were only 3 on ordered 2 drinks and wings. The pool bar was disgustingly dirty with bugs and things all over it. Bartender didn’t once wipe it down. The restaurant Cactus was subpar and the waitstaff was not great. Other than that the beach was magical and the pool was nice for relaxing.

The beach at the resort was beautiful. I opted to pay for the meal plan which included a variety of hot breakfast meals coffee and juice which was delicious and a great deal. We had burgers, fries and cocktails at the restaurant next to the pool which were good. They seemed under staffed so we had to be patient for check in and pool towels. Their menu showed one thing and what they served was something else. The worse one was the mile shake, served it in the size cup that you get your orange juice in and then it wash like milk in flavor and thickness. I only saw the pool area cleaned twice in my stay once was the day after our arrival and the second time I had to ask the staff if it can be cleaned since it was dirt near the bar area. The same for the outdoor pool area. It need more maintenance in some areas like the bar area it has no games. I did not like that they advertise some amazing outdoor areas but you are Not able too visit them because it's exclusive for golf members however the gard did let two young ladies swim in the area but they did not allowed use to take at least one picture on the bridge, he explained that we would have to go around the beach to get wear the girls are but you can't cuz of the ocean. I just don't understand how they got to that area. Most of the staff was friendly

Room was not acceptable, found hair on linens and in restroom, pillow sheets were stained, went to restaurant on premises and was not sanitary to say the least. We were not given towels for the pool and the towels we had in the room were very rough and seemed to be overused.

Beach was nice and had great views, but do to the unsanitary of room and restaurant we will not recommending.

I loved it all! So I’m very picky about hotels. But this one is amazing. We were traveling with kids. There’s an amazing restaurant in the hotel area, so we mostly had breakfast there. Good was very good! Kids were swimming in the pool or snorkeling in the ocean. They offer free 1 hour paddle boarding and kayaking per day. Which is also amazing! One of our friend bought fish and they cooked it for us for a fee. The stuff was nice. The rooms were clean! Which is very important for us! Towels were changed daily. The ac was working really well. Overall loved it. Will be back next year for longer amount of days

Property look pretty old (some buildings have new paint) but the rest of the property needs a lot of maintenance!

I’ll rate this property 3 stars
Also, only the pool bar was open the main restaurant and the market store were closed .

MY WIFE AND I LOVED THE FACT THAT WE HAD OUR OWN \"PRIVATE BEACH\" AREA AT THE RESORT THAT WAS LITERALLY OUTSIDE OUR ROOM. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD GREAT. I RECOMMEND \"FRANCISCO\" TO BE YOUR SERVER AT THE ONSITE \"beLoft\" RESTAURANT. HE WAS AWESOME!!!!!
