the hotel is trashed out. the sewer system was backed up and there was no refund for the room. I had to book another hotel because of the smell. The staff said there would be a refund for the 4 nights but there was none. Pitiful experience and i'll never book oyo again.

I would give them negative stars if that were an option, and recommend that Expedia make that an option. There were bed bugs and a dirty rooms when my guys arrived, and when we they went to front desk they were not offered another room or refund which either would have been great, but again they are not worth the risk or money, stay away.

I booked with Expedia to stay at the OYO in Waco, Texas September 12-14. I arrived at 3pm at the OYO. The woman behind the counter said they had no rooms. I said I have a reservation. She said they did not have a room. I said that doesn't make sense. She said she had one room without a tv but she was waiting on maintenance. I said I would take that room. She said I couldn't have it. She gave me the number (347) 752-4172 for Oyo customer service. I left and called the number. It was an automated message saying my reservation was cancelled. I ended up without a room. I AM TICKED.

I booked a room two months early at this location. At check in I'm informed that there are no rooms available. Even though I had booking confirmation for months. Manager was extremely rude. The location itself looks like it belongs in a third world country. It was unbelievably dilapidated and dirty. Furthermore hotels.com then charged me a no show fee. For a room I never received. Going on a week now and customer service still has not refunded and has been zero help.

Upon arrival, I was informed the payment and deposit was cash only. This seemed very shady. The room was not clean. It did not appear to have been swept, and there was some kind of yellow liquid dried onto the bathroom counter. The air conditioner worked, but not well, and never fully cooled the room. It was hot in the room overnight. The pillows provided were rock hard. We went out, and returned around midnight. Our room key stopped working, so we went to the front desk. No one was available to help or provide us with a new room key. Fortunately, one of us was in the room asleep, and we had to wake him up to open the door. Had someone not been there, I have no idea how we ever would have gotten back into our room.

I am having to sleep in my car because there is nothing else avaliable and it reached nearly 100⁰. Impossible to find no overnight staff
Directions to the property were unclear, the property was not visible from the interstate and after driving around in circles for well over an hour we were greeted by a locked door and a NO VACANCIES sign with a phone number that went unanswered. I finally got a room nextdoor at the Roadway Inn, with an overnight staff, a very comfortable room and plenty of parking. To add insult to injury they charged me for the room at the OYO even though we were unable to stay there.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. We had booked this room about a year before we were scheduled to arrive since it was to see the solar eclipse. This was one of the few hotels that still had rooms available. When we got there, front desk told us they overbooked and we didn't have a room after all. After being on the phone with Hotels.com for about half-an-hour, we were able to find another room, thank goodness. Not to mention, the hotel's condition was horrible. It looked dilapidated and there was actually a man sitting on the floor of the lobby crying. I'm actually glad we didn't stay there in the end. Never again

When arriving to check in a lady came to my car asking if I was there to check in. I let her know that I was and that I had a reservation. She started laughing and said, “oh we are overbooked”. Upon arrival to the hotel, the lobby was full of people that found out their reserved rooms were no longer available. I gave the the clerk my booking number provided from OYO, they claimed the room was already booked. Hotel rooms were going at a premium that night because of the sun eclipse and it seems the clerk was taking advantage of the situation at the expense of people that had legitimate reservations.

I'd be embarrassed to let anyone pay for this room, much less the price gouging because of the eclipse. There is no pride in this property -- it's exceptionally run down. Stains all over the walls. Water stains on the ceiling. Mold in the bathroom. The TV came on, but there was no signal to allow you to watch programming. There was this random, beat up, office chair just put in the room for some reason (there's no desk). The bath mat had holes in it. The beds were decent to sleep in, and the water pressure was ok. Still, I'd either fix this place up or close it down.

Horrible, should be shut down. Has reservations for Sunday before the eclipse, April 7, 2024 and when we arrived the woman at the desk said there was no available rooms. Said they had a plumbing issue, however just before arrival we got a message from the hotel saying they were awaiting our arrival and stay. I booked this reservation through Expedia for a business trip and received a confirmation. However, when we arrived at the hotel in Waco after a 3 hour drive from Houston, I was told that the hotel was sold out and that they would not honor my reservation. Apparently, other guests were experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately, there were no availability for hotels in Waco due to the eclipse traffic. As a result, we turned around and immediately drove back to Houston for the night.

I was going cheap so I chose OYO but this place was terrible. They only had a couple of rooms available and one smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (like someone recently had been in there smoking) and the next was where someone must have been staying because it had an electric hotplate but the door didn't lock. The third room was in the best shape of all 3 but was old and not in the best shape. The kicker was no wifi. This place was terrible so I said I was going to cancel the rest of my stay which the manager said I could. The next day (I had to stay because it was late at night when I checked in) I cancelled and they would not refund my money like they said they would.

DO NOT BOOK, no matter how cheap the rates are. I made a reservation to this hotel and had my confirmation email 2 days prior. When I arrived in person to check in, I was told the hotel over booked. They had signs printed there were no vacany and the front desk rep told me there were no rooms left. They walked me without having the decency to find me a place to stay for the night. They didn’t offer any help, barely spoke any English to communicate. Save yourself trouble and do not book. Luckily I was not stranded late at night with my family.

Although we reserved a 1 king bed non smoking room, we were given a 2 double bed room with a missing smoke detector and smelling of cigarette smoke. We asked if another room was available, none were. The room was cleaned daily. We had to ask for shampoo and soap because it was not replaced by the cleaning staff. The plastic cups provided by the hotel weren't replaced either. The hotel was old and not updated, the online photos were deceiving. The price we paid for the room was appropriate for what it was.

The pillows smelled like dirt, there was no doorknob on the bathroom door, there were numerous holes in the walls with toilet paper stuffed in them and stains everywhere, the door was not sealed and allowed sunlight to seep through the door, there was no coffee pot in room or lobby for hot water, the trashcan was full of black water, when i went for check-out after 8 am, the doors were locked and nobody was there to help. I was very disappointed in my stay.

We pulled around the building and a cleaning lady was dumping dirty water into the parking lot from the second floor. My husband said we were not going to stay in such a disgusting place. This is the worst motel I've ever stayed at! Roaches and bed bugs! Hair in the bath tub, trash under the edge of the bed, air conditioner did not work, only one towel and one wash cloth for 4 people, no soap or shampoo, bed cover was stained, smelled like some kind of smoke, drug addicts hanging around outside meeting people, our door had trouble shutting with a gap underneath so it was a little unsettling. My feet got extremely dirty after just walking one time from the bed to the bathroom and back again. Hair on the pillow. Refrigerator did not work. We had cold food with us. Soda machine took my money. Tv had lines across it and very few channels. Nothing good to watch. Toilet paper roll was only half full with no extra roll. The mattress was hard and smelled like cigarettes. Accessible room shower was not very disability friendly. The receptionist was not very hospitable. I felt like a criminal the way I was being treated. I had to wait a while for the desk employee to get there. There was something sticky on the nightstand. No stopper in the sink. The pillows were very small and flat. There needed to be three pillows per person to have the correct pillow height. For an accessible room, I would expect to have a bed that wouldn't hurt my back. I have had 4 back surgeries. I couldn't get myself up after sleeping on the bed. That is completely ridiculous and unacceptable! I shouldn't have to have help up in an accessible room! DO NOT RENT A ROOM HERE! CHOOSE ANOTHER ONE!

The motel is located on the service road of a highway. Requires a $50 refundable security deposit. (It appears to be because of their usual clientele.) Very noisy. (Parking lot activity. Highway noise. Other guests.) The flooring was fairly new, but otherwise the condition of the room was very poor. Dirty walls and caulking along the baseboards. Dirty entry door. Dirty bathroom door. Toilet seat loose. Tile in shower in need of repair. Ugly area in ceiling of shower with a dark spot in the area of a previous repair. Toilet seat loose. Front face of vanity counter detached and gapped. Dirty grout in shower. Rust in shower. I saw a couple of tiny roaches. It was a cheap place to sleep with a bathroom, but you definitely get what you pay for.
