Comfortable, clean room. Well equipped. Good breakfast and in-room drinks.
Bad point: room was too hot (no air conditioning in winter, only heat), duvet too hot and noisy road prevents having the windows open much. No convenient place to plug in kettle or coffee machine without moving furniture.

Nice location, very central but quiet with lots of good restaurants on the same street. Good, friendly service with very generous mini bar.

Room felt very small and quite dark particularly the wardrobe. Fine for one or two nights maybe but after 4 nights it started to feel cramped.

Great place to stay

I visit Athens most years and always try to book the Ilisia Hotel. It is well placed for the Evangelismos metro station en route between the airport and city centre. Staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean and comfortable with air conditioning, fridge and coffee making set. Breakfast has a good range of options. Highly recommended.

This hotel is a small hotel in a great location - city center (only a 5 minute walk to the Metro and 2 stops to the Acropolis). The rooms are well appointed albeit typically smaller as the hotel is in the city center. The bed was super comfortable. Great quality amenities and linens. Great water pressure in the shower. Sliding doors lead out to a large balcony with a table and 2 chairs and some plants. Breakfast was fantastic for a hotel in the city center. The staff was super sweet and extremely helpful. There are a number of great restaurants within a very short distance. I would definitely return and stay here again next trip!

My family and I just returned from our stay at Ilisia Hotel in Athens. This is the second time that we stay in this hotel as we were looking for a beautiful, clean hotel with personable, genuinely friendly staff and this is exactly what we enjoyed throughout our stay there!!

Everything from the reception staff to the breakfast and cleaning staff were always ready to help, discreet and smiley which made our stay even more special!! It is a very sweet hotel and we were happy to know that they are expanding themselves as we speak to built apartments for guests!

We would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone for everything they did for us and wish them a very happy and prosperous new year!!! We look forward to coming again in the summer!!

Nice, clean, ok breakfast, great fresh orange juice, free minibar with beer and soda. The bathrooms on the upper floor need renovation, the showers are very small (bathroom on the first floor was completely new and great, but my colleagues weren't that lucky).

Friendly greeting. Clear information on facilities. Nice room for overnight stay. Breakfast, perhaps less choice than some hotels, but for me a good range of cooked food, fresh fruit, yoghurt and breads. Friendly and efficient check out. Have stayed here several times and will continue to do so.

The hotel and staff are very nice and in a great location but the room could have been in better shape. The shower head was broke and the bathroom lighting could have been better. There was some type of motor outside the room that constantly turned on and was loud. Very annoying and difficult to get to sleep!

It was very convenient to a place I was working in Kolonaki. Also very close to a Metro station and various bus stops. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant, good bed, useful desk, refrigerator fortunately not stuffed with over-priced food and drink. Nice breakfast.

The only problem I noticed was that the room was too hot, and the air conditioning put out hot air. This may be a seasonal problem. It is very warm in Athens for this time of year, and the HVAC may be set only for heat. I kept the balcony door open whenever I was in the room to cool it off.

It is located in an excellent neighborhood around the corner from the Hilton not far from the Metro walking distance from many museums, near many restaurants and bakeries up the hill from the hotel. The included buffet breakfast is excellent as long as you understand that Europeans do not like cold stuff as cold as Americans like it and hot food as hot as we like it. I would have loved to have a microwave in the breakfast. The front desk staff is excellent. I would return.

We stayed in this hotel two years ago and the staff remembered us and made sure we had the suite we requested. A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
There are several restaraunts close by and museums within easy walking distance.

The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, a short distance away from the city centre. Our first room had AC problems, but the manager provided a replacement room down the hallway immediately. The breakfast was quite decent; some local pastries were made available which was quite a change from the usual spread. Quite a pleasant stay overall at a decent rate.

Usually I travel much, world wide and never rate any hotel in the world excellent “full rate” but this hotel I would rate it and advise everybody to book in Athens,
We lost our ferry to Santorini and were tired but came back to the hotel at 11:00am after checked out, we had the breakfast and even they gave us a new room free of charge until next ferry time ...
best hotel stuff I ever meet them in my life ...

What they don’t tell you is that 10 feet from the entrance is a strip club!!! The hotel is very dated, old and our room smelled like stale cigarettes despite being labeled non smoking. The shower was extremely small and it had some caulking done that looked terrible. Loved it when our cab driver told us that “ there’s lots of sex in this hotel”. Found out why he said that when we saw the strip club next to the entrance! On the good side, it’s a short walk to the subway.

The hotel is very tired looking and needs up dating. 1st room we were given was very small, dark, no natural light as the view was of concrete walls with bird poo every where. We asked to be moved the next day, staff were happy for us to change rooms, The new room was much better, although we were unable to lock the balcony doors as the lock was broken, didn't bother to complain. We asked for a kettle but were not give cups etc. There are fridges in the rooms but they didn't work in either room we were in and a member of staff couldn't get it to work either. The staff are nice enough but I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

Good location but fails at the basics

Public areas seem to be better maintained than the rooms. Tired decor and furniture but worst part was my full of hair bed-sheet that led to a sleepless night (called reception to change but no-one picked up!). A sleepless night was followed by one of the worst breakfasts we ever had - location is the only upside as it is close to the Metro station (airport line) and couple of stops away from the city centre.

A bit difficult getting around as most of the information or signs are only in Greek. The city needs signs in several languages for tourists. The print size used in most documents is too small, even with glasses. However I love Athens and the general feel of the place.+

The hotel is aged but still in good condition partly renovated. Our room was slightly small and L shape but comfortable enough with balcony; Alhough it was looking to the street thanks to the sound insulation. We enjoyed to take shower probably the best among same class hotels in Athens.
Hotel's location is an advantage to provide accessibility to reaxh Athens landmarks with alternative transportation, even having close proximity just few minutes walking to the restaurants, cafes and bars,
Breakfast bar is ok, even better serving kalamata olives and halawas in the morning.
All hotel staff are doing great job, always helpful, polite and friendly , big thanks

This hotel got the job done for a one night stay awaiting for an early departure the following morning. The single twin size beds were quite small and not the most comfortable, but we managed. The common areas are well kept and the hotel in walking distance to food eats.
