Really a great place to stay. It’s convenient to many attractions and in a nice area. 10 minute walk from the train with nice food and coffee options nearby. It has a laundry room and a sufficient gym. The only downside is I felt the room could’ve been a bit more cleaner when I arrived (still dusty in the room and I found hair around the place). I let the host know and she was very accommodating and overall helpful. I will stay here again if I’m in Athens.

Arrived late and the room was not cleaned. Rubbish, dirty towels, dirty plates etc but thankfully they moved us to another room. Next day when we returned to the original room it still wasn’t ready and we weee aw ok en from a nap to allow the cleaners back in at 16:15 to complete the job. Management just tick the boxes, no gesture for the two inconveniences and poor management of apartments. Despite this, apartment in good location but management team need a shake

It’s quiet, safe, clean, and right next to grocery, coffee, and easily walkable to attractions and sites. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don’t skip on this place! It is awesome!

Bathroom funtionality and having sink in the shower was not always safe or approrpaite.

bed - directly against both walls did not suit my travel partner. would not be suitable for someone with mobility or joint issues

Communication was avaialble through whats app or expedia with host.

20-25mins walk to central athens if you are willing.

We had a great time at the Hercules Residence in Athens - the accommodation was spacious and of a high standard, with the gym and wider facilities an added bonus. The location is quiet but convenient, within quick access of the historic Acropolis and central sights. Eva was very helpful in handling our pre-arrival and needs during our stay. Would recommend!

Pleasant stay!

Three couples stayed in three bedrooms. The rooms were very clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The location was great, in a quiet neighborhood. The metro station was only a 7–8 minute walk away, and major tourist attractions were just 15–20 minutes on foot. Definitely a place I’d recommend to others.

The property was very clean and spacious for a studio! You have the option to cook there and plenty of storage for clothes. The instructions to enter the building were very clear and the property manager always responded promptly. The local was great as it was more quiet from the center, however you could easily take the metro/bus which was only about a 10-12 minute walk. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful roomy residence with a well supplied kitchen. Communication with the owner was excellent and she responded quickly to our messages and brought extra garbage bags when asked.. Lots of outlets, quick walk to markets and bus stops, comfortable bed, excellent shower. There are free laundry facilities on the lower floor. Any street noise wasn't bothersome at all. Would stay here again.

Property was perfect for our needs during our stay in Athens and placed us in a quiet area that we could still walk to the main attractions / areas. Although we didn’t cook the Kitchen had lots of appliances and ample utensils — could have used a pair of scissors.
AC worked well and was very appreciative during our August visit. Bed situation was a bit tricky to get in/ out and make, but overall our stay was great. Hosts were amazing and replied quickly to any request we had. Great good recommendations as well!

We enjoyed the unit and felt the place was clean and comfortable. It isn’t in the hustle and bustle, which meant we could always find street parking, and was only a short uber ride from the main attractions. It may take a bit to secure an uber if you’re there during peak(hot) tourist season, but with our group, we needed the convenience of uber so we didn’t have to find parking in city center. The gym and playground downstairs were nice extra features but the outdoor space wasn’t as pictured. No cushions or hanging seat and the hanging pots weren’t maintained. We really only used it to hang laundry which was unfortunate because I thought it would be a nice oasis in the morning/evening. Our host was amazing with communication! Loved the coffee shop Ubuntu and bakery Oliver’s that were walking distance.

Property Seems to Lack Regular Maintenance

I have the impression that a couple of years ago (perhaps around 2020), the owner made a huge investment in the rooms, but since then, no maintenance has been carried out. In my studio, a lot of things were broken and/or not functioning properly: 1) the glass box in the wash was not closing properly (making the water spill out to the bathroom floor); 2) one handle in the box was broken; 3) hangers in the bathroom were loose; 4) the lid for the batteries in the remote control was sloppily glued with a sticky black tape; 5) the mechanism that should allow the TV to go around the living room and bedroom was loose and could not stand still in any of the rooms.
It was clear that all of these issues were not new - most of them were clearly old, but they were never fixed. I reported the issues and they offered to send someone to take a look, but when on a vacation (AND WHEN YOU CHOOSE A HIGHLY RATED PROPERTY), you expect the room to be neat and functional and not to make your vacation around a day/time that the “handyman\" can come over to fix problems that never should be there in the first place. The high rating seems to derive from the \"golden era\" of this property, which seems to be sloppily managed nowadays, unfortunately.
However, the location is very good and the neighbourhood has a lot of restaurants and stores, very close to the metro station as well.

The property was exactly as shown in the photos. There were lots of washrooms and showers for the 7 of us. Nothing is provided other than some salt & instant coffee so make sure you get coffee filters, cooking oil etc.

We felt super safe in the building. The area was safe to walk around as well. There are a couple of grocery stores and lots of restaurants within 10-15 min walk. Would absolutely recommend this property.

This property is extremely well kept and clean. We were surprised to see that the room came with all the detailed amenities such as an oven, toaster, stovetop as well as basic condiments for cooking. Nice, safe and clean apartment to stay. It’s 15 min walking distance from Acropolis. It even has kids play ground, I love that! I like the balcony too. If you are using the dyer machines, please don’t expect it to try your clothes completely. You will need to hang it to try. It took me a while to figure it out.

The apartment was lovely, modern, well laid out and decorated. The host was good at communicating with local info and checking in details.
It was lacking in kitchen utensils, including no corkscrew.
The loo roll holder wasn’t on properly and the roll just falls off. The low shower head holder needs refixing. As you can’t flush toilet paper, it would’ve been good to have spare bin bags.
There’s a new cafe, Bistro 6, that recently opened around the corner which was lovely for breakfast.
Good restaurants for dinner we founder were a 10min walk away.
It was well located for all historic sites.

Close to public transit and some bars/restaurants. If you’re coming from the airport, plan your transit in advance as our flight was after metro hour and local rules that made our family split into two cabs and marked up the night time price.

We stayed on the ground floor property and it was very spacious and bright. Bathrooms were great, clean and lots of hot water. The neighbourhood was good with a couple of excellent coffee shops nearby. Grocery and restaurants are nearby as well. We were able to walk to the acropolis and other sites easily and safely (approx. 20-30 mins). The apartment could use a few more, bowls and mugs, as well as some staples (sugar, oil, garbage bags). Laundry and gym are a welcome extra. We enjoyed our stay.

As a family, we really appreciate having the option for a 2-3 bedroom apartment instead of all crowding into a standard hotel room. Hercules Residence was clean, comfortable and had amenities such as laundry facilities and lockers for leaving luggage when you arrive to the property before check-in time. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. The WiFi worked well. Checking in was easy, with the instructions communicated to us in plenty of time for our arrival. Our apartment was in a quiet area of town, but an easy walk to the Acropolis and busier neighborhoods in Athens. Definitely recommend!!

The apartment was large and modern with great air conditioning but that’s where the pros end. The area was not good and definitely not a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis. The location and lack of access to anything really made our trip difficult. It took about 45 to walk back from the museum. We had difficulty getting in and there was no one to help. Luckily someone else staying there showed up after we had been trying the key for over an hour. Every interaction with the property felt like it was a bot as every answer about the key was the same response. No one ever answered my questions. The key took 7-8 turns in a variety of directions because it had 5 deadbolts. That should tell you all you need to know. Outside had no cushions for metal furniture so also unusable. Definitely stay somewhere up the hill and not here.

I'd go back again. The apartment was clean and spacious. We liked being able to store our luggage when we arrived.. It was a bit of a walk to get to the Acropolis area--maybe 20 min. --but we liked walking. When it rained, we grabbed an Uber. Very safe neighborhood! We found coffee shops and even a cute bar/restaurant nearby. There are very limited supplies in the apartment so you must buy everything. (Even trash bags! I felt those should have been included, especially for the bathroom). Also, they provided a large jug of laundry soap but it was out so we had to buy some for just one wash.

Brilliant apartment amenities; good range of kitchen equipment, everything we wanted, and access to gym and laundry a big bonus. Furniture, kitchen and bathroom all seem very new and well fitted. Outdoor space is shaded with decent furniture.
Eva communicated with us before our stay, and was prompt to respond to emails.
The area is not the most convenient - 10 mins walk either way to metro stations, but central enough to get to the bottom of the Acropolis easily if you don’t mind climbing up the hill.
Lots of graffiti in the area (this is to be expected); but we still felt safe walking around at night.
Family with 2 teenage boys, we really enjoyed our stay.

Hercules Residence is a wonderful place to stay in Athens. The apartment was incredibly clean. The balcony, living room, and kitchen were such a great bonus. There is laundry for free, an excellent gym, and a lovely play room for small children. We enjoyed walking to the numerous grocery stores, bakeshops, and restaurants. The location is a beautiful walk to the Acropolis and other sites and there are numerous metro stops within an easy walk. We used it to get from the airport and to the Piraeus ferry. Communication from the owner was quick and we appreciated the messages to make sure everything went well. I highly recommend Hercules Residence. We will happily stay here again.

This was the perfect place for our family! Easy walk to all the sights, plus yummy bakery and grocery around the corner. We couldn’t have hoped for better. Also Eva was quick to answer any and all questions about the property, booking transfers was perfect… all around highly recommend staying here while you are in Athens!!

The property was in an excellent area of town, very close walking distance to all the main attractions. Great amenities in the apartment itself, very nice renovation and was great for 6 adults in the three bedroom apartment! We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, locations ...

I cannot recommend this property enough. It was a 10 out of 10. It is wonderfully situated less than a mile from the Acropolis and the Monastiraki Market (which is a shopping marketplace). The apartment itself was clean and had everything you needed. The staff communicated well through email. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Athens.

Location was awesome. We walked (20-40 minutes) to everything we wanted to see during our 3 day stay in Athens. The place was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the ability to do our laundry for free and hang out on the nice balcony in the mornings. Overall we felt very safe and satisfied.

This is a great property. It is clean, modern, and spacious. Esmeralda was a joy to work with, and she arranged for transportation for us to and from the airport. The apartment is in a great locations as well. Highly recommended property and when we return to Athens, I will be reaching out to Esmeralda in order to stay there again.

Had a wonderful time in Athens and our stay at the Hercules Residence was a contributing factor to the overall experience. They are very centrally located and we could walk to just about everything we needed and most of the popular attractions. Thank you, Esmerelda!!!

Nice apartment and very nice support

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Esmeralda and Carolina are very responsive, helpful and helped us with taxi reservation, and other questions. The area is quiet and quite close to two subway stations. Highly recommend the place!
