While I could go on about how clean, comfortable and beautiful the hotel and grounds are, the real stars are the staff. Every single employee, from the front desk to the kitchen staff to the housekeepers were constantly seeking ways to better our stay. Everyone is beyond kind and helpful. This was a second stay for us and we were again so impressed. I said it in my last review, but worth mentioning again....the sheets are AMAZING!!! I can not wait for our next visit this Fall.

The staff was not friendly at all. If a guest had any requirement the staff said I cannot do anything about it. The elevator was never operational, during the span of my stay, and they did not offer any help taking my luggage upstairs to my room. The breakfast was awful and always out of items. The air condition unit was very noisy. The staff would come and make comments on the clothing of our ladies when they were sitting in the hot tub, dressed in proper suites, designed and manufactured for swimming pool and hot tub. After this we had to tell the staff that this not the way to talk to a guest. The even number rooms are very noisy from the highway traffic and guest cannot sleep the whole night but count vehicles passing by on the highway. When I requested a room change, again the answer was we cannot do anything about this, and I was advised to talk to expedia instead. Very awful stay, I will suggest to people going to fernie, to look for any other hotel, but stay away from this one, The Fernie Stanford Resort Hotel.

Very quiet and god sleep, thought this might not be the case with the amount of vehicles, but it was.
Staff here was excellent - accommodating with a request for late checkout, and helping us out with a special request. Think the fellow at the front desks name is Sandy, great service

Air conditioning works great however the vent blows directly onto the person on the bed bedside it. There was no way to redirect the air so was quite annoying at night. Got creative and put our suitcase on the suitcase stand between the bed and the a/c, then propped the lid up so the air would go up and over.

Nice bar and restaurant large windows to see views of mountains and river.

Only downside is the proximity to the main Hwy 3 close for accessibility but a little noisy.
All in all pretty good place to stay.

We’ve stayed here before and really enjoy this hotel — beautiful views, comfortable beds, balcony, and the jacuzzi tubs and pool/hot tub are a big highlight for us. We’re already planning to come back in the summer for hiking near Island Lake Lodge.

This stay had a slight hiccup with cleanliness on arrival, but the staff and management handled it incredibly well and went above and beyond to make things right, which we really appreciated.

Great customer service and still one of our go-to places to stay.

The kitchen in the condo was poorly stocked with essentials to actually cook. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. Rules to clean, but no real cleaning supplies provided. If it were not for the AWESOME staff this would have been a poor experience.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast offered is average, it would be nice to have hot water or coffee available during the day (would rather not have to use room machines) The gym equipment was old and not working properly.

That water slide is a great thing to do after skiing! Even if you're not a kid!
Breakfast options were plentiful and we had a great dinner at the in-house restaurant the first night (souvlaki).
Room had a couple of unique and highly appreciated features: overhead light in the middle of the room and door that beeps if not closed fully

Staff was courteous… TV setup was totally confusing. Most channel indications were wrong and some basic channels were either unavailable or impossible to find.

Amenities are okay, but the hotel can use a renovation.

Rooms are in desperate need of renovations. The common area like hallways, stairs, game room were very dirty. Pool area is starting to get run diw as well, everything is looking pretty rusty.

Breakfast doesn't start until 7:00 which is unfortunate. We had to rush to eat to get to our hockey game on time. Lots of other guests seemed annoyed they had to wait until 7:00 as well, the skiers just grabbed their gear and left instead of waiting.

Me, my husband, and our three kids stayed here and really enjoyed it! The pool is awesome, the continental breakfast was delicious, and with only being a 5 min. drive from the hill you literally couldn’t beat this place. Most affordable and best bang for your buck in my opinion! Will definitely be staying again.

Hotel is a bit tired and dated. Room was clean and serviceable but needing an update.
Breakfast was shocking. Cereal with cardboard bowls and plastic cutlery. Milk from individual portions designed for coffee.
A waffle maker that you had to make yourself, the automatic one was broken.
Gluten free bread but no designated toaster so cross contamination is certain.
Tables either rocking or with big wads of cardboard attempting to level them.

Also a school trip using the hotel meant kids running up and down the corridors, shouting and banging on doors.

Crucial question would I stay there again…….a resounding NO!

Not a lot of options for breakfast, had very few choices for warm breakfast, (oatmeal, waffles, toast, and pancakes but the machine was broken) if you’re coming here for the free breakfast, I’d go somewhere else, no bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, etc. the room itself was clean but when we looked around the heating filters were covered in dust, the jacuzzi tub had dirt/ mold coming out of the jets, and stains on the curtains. The loft bed was nice and clean, well made. The hair dryer did not work. The pillows were hard as rock.

The family room layout was perfect for our family of 5. The kids enjoyed the waterslide and we enjoyed the hot tub (small and sometimes crowded). The hotel restaurant is a hidden gem that serves great food at reasonable prices. The free breakfast is ok, but leaves a little to be desired.

This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel and sadly the upkeep has really gone downhill. The hotel looks rundown, and in need of a refresh/clean. The rooms are dirty, and worn. Our Tub was damaged, toilet cracked , Patio screen door ripped and off the tracks. All things that can be looked past, but the room itself was extremely dirty. Beds, sheets, counters, toilet and walls. Absolutely Terrible
There is never anyone at the front desk and when you ring the bell, if someone does come, they look annoyed to assist, even when checking out.
The pool is nice and the kids loved the slide. Very unfortunate to see such a nice property be neglected to this point.

We have been staying at this property everytime we go to fernie which is typically 2-3 times a year. It just seems like the property needs better maintenance and upkeep. The Indian restaurant attached to the hotel is now gone as well and the new restaurant isn’t great. A little bit of proper upkeep and cleanliness would help. Also the continental breakfast has gone a bit downhill with lack of staff in the breakfast area.

We got the jacuzzi sweet. Room was clean as always. Staff is nice. The pool and slide are the main attraction for the kids and adults. Worth a stop if you like to slide. It's a really fast slide. So much fun.

I booked this hotel for a get away with the kids. The property has seen better days but is still serviceable. The room was a good size with a loft which didn't really have enough privacy or allow the kids to sleep while other lights were on . The pool was nice enough with a great big water slide. The breakfast was quite basic. All in all a good value but could use some paint and some lighting updates and one or two hot items at the breakfast other than 1 waffle maker.

Easy check in/ out, beautiful room, very clean and dust free. Soft pillows and fresh smelling bedding. Exceeded my expectations for sure. Pool and pool deck were clean and well maintained. Dining area was as spotless as everything else and the breakfast bar was well organized.
I’m not easily impressed as I’ve travelled a great deal for both work and play and have been grossed out by even 5 star hotel/ resort conditions. I will be back and would recommend it to any of my friends or colleagues 10/10, staff is doing an amazing job at Fernie Stanford.
