Hotel is under alot of construction at current time. We have stayed there many times and understand the need for updates and maintenance but it would have been nice to know in advance or perhaps reduction of rates during the Reno. I'm sure that the hotel will look amazing when we return next year. Staff is always amazing and rooms are always clean. Thanks for a great weekend!

Amazing! I have stayed in fernie many times and this place blew everyone eles out of the water. And way better rates. My family could vacation here and never leave the hotel and have a blast. So much to do , extremely clean, movie theater, huge kitchen , games room with pool table , air hockey dart boards etc. Pool, hot tub , sauna and so much more amd the beds were so cozzy . Loved it there, i cant wait to go back.

Attentive and friendly staff. Separate common kitchen area. Ample parking space and other amenities.
The Air conditioner was not usable, it was emitting a very bad odor while operating. So could not use it. The hotel staff did not had any de odorizing spray as well.

The stay was great the rooms were clean and very spacious, the only thing I had an issue with is the pool at one end of the Inn and the hot tub at the other so when having kids it was either or not both pther than that is was a great place to stay

Close to Elk River and Downtown to walk around. Breathtaking views of mountains for monring coffee. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff overall. Had to unplug rattling air conditioner. Carpets could be replaced.

Not a great place for this price!!

Breakfast: Expedia mentioned breakfast for this property; however The lodge did not offer breakfast, they do rather breakfast snack such as A muffin, a fruit or a coffee. No eggs, bread, milk, or any other stuff.

Swimming Pool: as per hotel policy, they only start after 2 pm and closes early in the evening, that makes no sense as the lodge guests cannot use it. It’s just an eyewash!

Restaurant: is non-operational, not knowing the reason.

Price: I signed room documents stating a fairly lower price inclusive of Taxes per night roughly two third, while paid higher to Expedia. Not fair!! Feeling cheated!!!! Lodge appears already pricy for the facilities they offered, and Expedia made it worst. From a customer’s perspective you expect better when you pay huge.

Additional Comments: paid for 2 similar rooms with Balcony; while I got only 1 room with Balcony. There was around 15% price difference in both rooms when I was booking on Expedia and the same was confirmed by front desk staff. As the Lodge was fully booked, so I had to stay like that.

I need the price difference back and some compensation for my inconvenience and false representation done by Expedia.

It was the last room available so we were happy to have it.
The morning continental breakfast could be improved with labeling on the muffins as it was hard to tell what type it was and would help with allergy’s. To-go coffee cups would have been welcomed.

The outside of this hotel lools unassuming but the rooms are fantastic. We had 4 kids with us and they had 3 queen beds in their room. You dont find that most places. The movie theater was sweet! Free laundry too!

Bed and pillows were comfortable. The sushi and pizza places next door were both good. Front desk staff was excellent. The only toiletries provided were shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Room was older and could have been cleaned a little better, but comfortable enough.

Staff were nice and helpful but the place is ageing and wasn’t the cleanest. Bathroom walls and corners were gross, and the towel rack ripped out of the drywall. Should be cleaner for $200+ a night. You can stay at cleaner and nicer places in Fernie for that price.

Very cute hotel. Rooms are not renovated but they are clean, cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Pool was so fun with the kids. Wish we were staying longer so that we could have used the theatre, or spent more time in the game room. Will stay here again next time we're in Fernie!

Travelled to have a relaxing weekend to celebrate our engagement. Advertised hot tub was not in service. Day after we arrived the sauna was out of order. Restaurant was closed. Beds were so hard we could hardly move when we got up. And the hot tub & sauna weren’t in service! Breakfast snack was terrible. Dry muffins, a couple pieces of fruit in a bowl. No yogurt as advertised. Coffee was weak like dirty water.

Should’ve received a substantial discount when advertised amenities are not available.

Makes for a perfect home base in the Fernie area. Close to everything , and the hotel has everything we need - Pool,Hot Tub,Sauna, even a great games room and mini movie theatre. Rooms were clean, Service was top-notch. Would definitely recommend

This is our second time here - we visit Fernie 2-3 times a year.

Central location, nice staff, some upgrades in the rooms since the last time - new flooring, better coffee makers.

Basic breakfast but it was all I needed.

Unfortunately the restaurant has been closed since COVID- staffing and other issues. It would be nice if they were able to open even for a basic breakfast seating

This place smelled of stale cigarettes from the moment we stepped inside the front doors. The smell down the corridor barely improved as we reached our room. The bathroom had not obviously been cleaned as there was a lot of hair present on the floor and in the corners. Upon a close inspection, the toilet had not been cleaned thoroughly. If we’d want to use the fridge, nearly all of the shelves had been removed. The door did not automatically lock which we thankfully had checked before we left. Breakfast in the morning consisted of fruit, yoghurts and muffins from Tim Hortons…maybe from the day before? If we had been set to stay more than one night, I’m not sure that we would have.

couldn't open my door with the key...had to go back to the receptionist and she gave me a different key. Once going into the room, checked for cleanliness and found long black hair on numerous pillows and on the bedsheets. The windows were difficult to see out of due to not being washed outside.
By then that was enough for me and I checked out!!

The property has bike storage, and area to clean both your bikes, and ski equipment. They have a hot tub, pool, games, and theatre room. Beds are comfortable. Overall, good, clean with lots of activities, only knock is rooms are a bit dated.

The check in was quick and painless. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issues would be a very low to the floor toilet, the parking being a bit of a hazard - easy to go forward into a 1 meter fall from it, and the game room being quite outdated.

This is just a very middle of the road hotel. It’s in need of a very good cleaning and some updating. The breakfast that they advertise is anything but breakfast. Some yogurt, coffee, muffins and bananas were out. Enter rooms via a key. Mostly used by road construction workers it looked like.

Parking isnt the greatest, but otherwise this hotel is great. Kids loved the swimming pool, and it was handy having access to a full kitchen. They also loved the bunkbeds un the room, and our dogs loved the little personalized treat bags!

Hotel and staff was good, but Hotels..com advertised breakfast included. I booked this hotel because it listed as BREAKFAST INCLUDED. Breakfast consisted as a small yogurt, muffin and small apple. I had to go to breakfast after finishing the hotels breakfast. :(.

Looking at the reviews I was expecting a nice and comfortable stay. The room was barely clean. Sandy floors by bedside as well as the tub. The AC/heating unit was so loud we were unable to sleep so we opened the window to cool the room down, which required monitoring, of course. The bed was so uncomfortable my back hurt all night. It was an unfortunate stop our family took on our big move accross the province. For the price, it wasn't worth it at all. I wish we would've been a different place so that we could have rested. The one good thing is the staff. Very friendly.

Not a very good place: run down, there was a bunch of hair all over our pillows and sheets which they just shook off and didn't bother changing, not a real breakfast - they just give a bag with a muffin, yogurt and a really green apple.
