We had a quiet, restful stay in the shoulder season. Enjoyed the fireplace and the view of the mountain. Would have been a true ski-in stay as the lift is 50m from the door. Took several beautiful hikes nearby and enjoyed the local restaurants.

Staff needs some training in hospitality management. Didn't seem staff was well trained. Took too long to check in and staff didn't have answers to basic questions. Also, restaurant service was very slow. number of servicers for the number of tables was not satisfactory. Dinner took 30 minutes to get cocktails, and food took too long to be served. Breakfast was even worse. First day it took at least 1 hour to be served and the second day the cook/chef didn't show so there was no breakfast available - which is unacceptable for what is considered a high-end hotel. When I logged a complaint with the front desk, I was told that the restaurant was separately run by a third party - and therefore they had no responsibility - unacceptable response.

We didn’t get to try the hot tub (which was one of the things we were looking forward to) because it was at full capacity both times we tried. The pool was very nice but would have been much better being heated more. It was still too cold to stay very long. We were disappointed that the restaurant and ice bar were both closed. The unit was very nice and beds were comfortable. The staff were courteous and professional. We will definitely stay again. We’ve already made reservations for December but we’re hoping the restaurant and bar will be open by then and that the pool will be warm enough to enjoy this time.

The main floor window leaked a lot after a rain storm. We put a measuring cup under the leak to capture the water. Otherwise great location for touring Fernie.

We love coming to Lizard Creek! The suites are spacious and a great base to be tucked away in the mountains and exploring Fernie. The outdoor hot tub attached to the condo building was a great plus, and very relaxing (especially during the quiet off season)! It was sometimes hard to reach the front desk staff, but interactions were always very friendly. The spacious underground parking is another plus.

Cons
1. False advertising on Expedia website. We reserved a one bedroom loft and it was quit large in the picture (Not what we got, it was probably 1/3 of the size). complained to the front desk and they gave the usual \"I'm sorry about that\", with nothing else said. For the 6 people it was very small.
2. It was just disappointing for what you pay and the staff did nothing to correct it.

1. False advertising on Expedia website. We reserved a one bedroom loft and it was quit large in the picture (Not what we got, it was probably 1/3 of the size). complained to the front desk and they gave the usual \"I'm sorry about that\", with nothing else said. For the 6 people it was very small.

Excellent location for skiing. 2 bedroom suite was large and well laid out. Only issue was the lack of a shower in the master bath? Not sure if that is common acroos the property or not. We enjoyed the restaurant and the communal hot tub. Ski storage was also very convenient.

Wonderful place to stay right in the mountains ready to ski/snowboard. Beautiful views, friendly staff, large rooms and comfortable beds. You get a full coffee pot so you can bring coffee grounds and a full kitchen setup - stove, fridge, dishwasher, etc.
Very icy entrances that hadn’t been cleared resulting in many falls and the bathtub needed a good scrub which we didn’t appreciate having to do. However we would still highly recommend despite these two oversights.

This was a nice place to stay. My fiancé and I got an upgrade when checking in because the room I booked was getting worked on so instead of staying in a room with 1 queen bed we got a room with a king size bed and 2 queens.

I was there a night. I would say that the booking is misleading. There are several add on which means the advertised price was way off. The room was expensive especially when it’s off season and several of the amenities were closed

I was a little disappointed with our booking. Expedia said EVERYTHING was included in our price, when we checked in, we had to pay an additional fee of $28 to park. It was a very quiet evening in the parking lot was empty.

We ventured to Lizard Creek with our daughter. Our main reason was to enjoy the outdoor heated pool and hottub. Unfortunately the hottub jets were not working at the hottub located at the pool. We found the heated pool to be quite cool and requested the temperature to be turned up. That didnt happen and we spoke to other guests who also found the pool too cold to enjoy.
Our room fridge did not work, and thr coffee maker was broken as eell.
The room was not very clean and requires a deep clean. The dishes were dirty and we had to wash them ourselves and wash the tub so our daughter could bathe in it. Our phone didnt work so we had to walk to the front desk or text the desk for any assistance.
