Bangkok68 was a very VERY disappointing experience foe me & my family. The rooms are somewhat pokey (small) & walls are bare concrete, not even painted, with an EXTREMELY tacky adhesive poster stuck above the bed. Air conditioners were badly placed with wired type control completely out of reach without a ladder. Also both a/cs were on need of maintenance.
As far as facilities were concerned the paucity of same was startling. For example the two rooms had no glasses in the bathroom, soap &/or shampoo came in miniscule bottles that had already been used but not replaced. Rooms had 2 mugs in each room, one room had a kettle, but there were no coffee or tea provided. Beds were adequate, but pillows were absolutely awful. Bed linens & towels were old & threadbare. The restaurant advertised did not actually exist. Receptionists seemed completely uninterested in doing anything.
I would be very hesitant to give ANY sort of recommendation for this hotel

The only problem was the room i had stay door need to bang it to close , otherwise overall is a pleasant to stay. From the hotel turn right n go straight about 8 to 10mins , there is a number of eatery like Macdonald, 24hrs mini mark, n walk further 6mins will reach MRT E17 Suttisan . Morning market around that area go to explore n get reasonable foods.

There are much better places to stay.

Went thru my passport like they were immigration officials. WiFi didn't stay connect. I had to use my Hotspot. One roll of toilet paper on the refrigerator. Noisy from people shouting and semi construction. No coffee at night. I had to walk 7-11, about 3 blocks away. Shower didn't turn on immediately. Went downstairs - Front desk staff lady had a crappy personality. I will never stay here again. There is much better value for money at even lower rated hotels.

Stay was just ok. Photos looked much better than the actual property. Staff was unwelcoming, just a typical tight lipped checkin. Room was comfortable, but had a very boring aura to it. But we just wanted to sleep, so it was ok. This is not a honeymoon hotel, but ok for the money

I stayed in the Superior King room with double bed and a bathtub.
Pros:
1. Price was reasonable.
2. Room was clean.
3. Minimal furniture with large bed.
Cons:
1. Shower handle was broken.
2. Bed was rather hard.
3. Lacking in customer service. Asked for extra hangers to hang my clothes and the receptionist said that it will be sent to my room, however, it never came.

Night no problem at all, room service every day, 2 bottle of water per day, lots of food near by the only problem here Is the traffic although the hotel is only 5km to city but u can jam for 1h in taxi.

I've stayed at Bangkok 68 before, and it's great value for money. The most recent experience was a little bit offputting. When we checked in to our room, there was a massive pool of water running through the connecting room next door. The fitted sheet was in a very poor condition - there were ripped places all over the sheet and the sheet was too small for the bed. Our bathroom was decent. The shower was in a very bad condition, the pipe to the shower fitting was broken all over, so the water never reached the actual shower head, it just leaked out of the holes in the pipe. The cleaning staff were very lovely. They cleaned every day and brought us fresh towels every day. I just wish the shower worked and the bedsheets were in a better condition.

If you like concrete walls like a prison cell it's for you ?? Bathrooms Dirty ?? The cleaning of the linen and room is terrible ?? But staff at check are wonderful and helpful ?? But they work with what they have and the swimming pool location is Brilliant but pool needs a very good cleaning ?? Cleaning is the key at this Hotel ???

worst experienced was the taxi drivers, they wont use miter they usually demand the baht amount when we need to go somewhere.
the receptionist didnt offer like package tour which we expect to have that. the room is okay, but the bathroom is clog when we take a bath.

I like staying in this hotel when I am in Bangkok. It is simple, straightford clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I can easily park my car. The MRT is close as are local restaurants and Au Bon Pain and McDonalds, 7/11 and a supermarket.

Cheap, clean and friendly.

I come to this hotel often when I am in Bangkok. It is close to MRT. There are small Thai restaurants in the street. Au Bon Pain and MacDonalds around the corner and 7/11 and supermarkets close. I can also park my car.

I was very happy with my stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was open all the time with a pretty good menu. Chang beer 40 baht. Taxis easy to find. The soi is quiet in the night which is rare for Bangkok, no noisy trucks and bikes outside the window. The only downsides were the're pretty stingy on toilet paper and soap. No bars of soap so bring your own. The air conditioner in my room didn't have a remote for temperature control it was either on or off , so you were cold or warm at night. No biggie, I would stay again for this price.

A little disappointing this time

I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago. This time I am a little disappointed. The bathroom is obviously not cleaned over a period of time with dirts visibly seen. Given the hotel is not centrally located, the price isn't a fantastic deal. Guests should be able to locate a cleaner hotel with the same price in this region.
The hotel practices strict provision on the shampoo / shower gel / toilet rolls...so be prepared to face rejection if you request more of these items.

We stayed there for 3 nights, and the aircorn is leaking terribly, the bed is not comfortable at all, toilet shower you can choose either very hot or very cold, because the water heater is not able to control the temperature, so either you want to get your body burn, or freezed. The worst thing is, we checked out at 11am, while waiting for our flight at 8.30pm, we put our luggage bags at the hotel reception area, when i collect back by 4pm, all the luggage wheels are cracked & broken, i wonder what happened, but when we asked the receptionist, they only said no idea and never bother to answer me at all.

Poorly maintained place. There was only one English-speaking staff. Checked in for 4 nights, changed rooms thrice, last one was because the power in the room conked out. Area is quite far from everything but that's okay. The internet connection was probably the only good thing about this place.

We were only there 1 night. Friendly staff.
The room was clean but I found the swimming pool area dirty. Empty bottles and dirty plates from room service were left in the pool area overnight and all day. Also left outside rooms and not collected.
We had a leak in our bathroom which left the floor in one big puddle. We didn't arrive till late so they must of known about it. They gave us towels for the floor as maintenance men had finished for the day.
Apart from the leak I was happy with the room and the hotel in general. The pool area was nice and a great view as it was on the roof. The metal sunbeds were very uncomfortable. I would stay here again. The hotel is about a 10 Mins walk from the MRT station.

The hotel is about 12 minutes away from the MRT Suttisan station. There are 7-eleven, Family Mart, cafes and McDonald's nearby. The wifi connection was troublesome. You need a separate user ID and password for every device. For the room price, it's value for money if you know how to get around from the hotel. The hotel is about an hour away from the city center by walking to the MRT and changing to the BTS.

Other than that, would recommend to those who will be out most of the time and only for bathe and sleep. Good deal on Expedia better than walk-in rate. Old hotel that has benn given a minimalist makeover. Room clean with hard beds. TV has few English channel. Noisy aircon over bed was too cold to leave on. No kettle in room but can get hot water at reception. Few staff speak good English. Rooftop pool nice to cool off but no shade. Attached cafe has local food. About 15 mins walk from Sutthisan MRT. Well located to get to DMK airport about 30 mins by taxi.

Fake information by hotel

When I checked in past noon, the room they gave me was inconvenient for my mom although I asked for convenience for the elder when I booked the roo.

They changed a room which was half the distance to the lift, but the aircon was not working, it comes out air but not cold nalthough the temperature was adjusted to 18 degrees celcius. I asked for a boiling flask, they told me no stock.

The toilet bath was not separated, it's open concept, so when you take a shower, the whole toilet gets wet and you will be walking all over the room wet though there is a floor mat towel. There is no hangar to hang your clothes and not provided even you request. The hotel is more like a self service hotel with your own utilities.

They only interested to earn the money rather than to provide standard hotel service to customers although it's cheap

Simple enough

Good price matches with hotel quality. Room is clean but not gorgeous. Staffs are very simple like a robot. Taxi mater from the center of Bangkok is around 100 THB (3USD) or 10 mins walk from Subway. All are simple enough.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing was that the pool was not usable except for 1 day out of 7. That is a big deal for us. We paid more for a pool. Be sue to inquire a out the pool before reserving a room. Lots of bikes, tuk tuks and taxis available - not much around the hotel itself.

The hotel is clean and has very helpful the staff that can organise anything anywhere in Thailand for you. The hotel is far from the centre but with two metro stations close by getting to the heart of Bangkok is easy. The rooms themselves are better than the corridors and public areas of the hotel.

Nice hotel, but be prepared to go the distance if you want to go to markets or tourist attractions. Also, only one of our 4 tours was willing to do hotel pickup because we were too far from the heart of the city. That being said, the hotel and staff were very pleasant. Pool is nice.

I only overnighted here while travelling from Cambodia over to Kanchanaburi. Would probably have been a better experience if I didn't get taken by a taxi driver. Thailand cabby's need to stop taking tourist the long way to the hotel. With the internet and google its not hard to see that my hotel that is 6 KM from Mo Chit and had to make the taxi stop at 16 KM. The hotel staff was very helpful in ensuring my taxi the next day was reputable. Thank you Bangkok 68

I loved my stay at Bangkok 68. It's great for some relaxation before or after some hard travelling. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They give you minimal information so if you want to find out about something you need to ask. Anytime I did ask for something though they were really helpful. The room was cleaned every single day, they refilled our water, towels, toilet paper etc.The food is delicious and the restaurant is open 24 hours which was super handy. They have a laundry service which might be a little pricier that other places but they get it back to you the next day. The main perk is the pool. It doesn't close until 9 pm so you can go for a swim after your day of sight seeing. It is a little far from the party areas for getting a taxi back at night but it is only a few mins walk from the metro. There is also a super market, a bank and some restaurants nearby. My one problem was the bed. It was pretty hard which made it hard to sleep at times. The wifi also only seemed to work on one phone at a time which was a bit annoying, but this is a minor detail. Over all, if you just want to chill out and do some sight seeing before heading off on your travels, Bangkok 68 is perfect.

Terrible hotel. Miles away from the centre. They have the rudest staff out of ever hotel I've stayed in, in Asia over the past 3 months. Wifi is terrible and the restaurant also has some of the worst food. We ordered a curry with rice the rice came 20 minutes before the curry!

We love this hotel!

Excellent hotel! We booked online for two nights at Bangkok 68 and decided quickly to extend our stay another two nights. The room was spotlessly clean (cleaned everyday), the bed comfortable and the shower was hot - by far the best room we've had on our 2 month trip so far. Hotel staff were super effecient - the restaurant in the lobby seres great food and is open 24hours a day. Spent some time in the pool on the roof which was again super clean and cool views - they should put a picture u p online! The location was great for us too - sutthisan doesn't have a lot to offer but you can get the mrt to chatuchak market really easily and also connect to the bts - this hotel is an absolute bargain!

really enjoy my stay in the hotel, we were unsure how to get to some attractions and the hotel staffs helped us a lot by telling us how to get there by Bts, mrt etc. also there are 7-11 nearby. The 7-11 food is really nice and affordable. The only negative one is that the housekeeping in the hotel room is not really clean. The bedsheet is a bit dirty with stains. But the room is really spacious, I wouldn't mind recommending my friends and family to come here if they visit Bangkok!

Great swimming pool and close to the subway

My partner and I stayed in Bangkok 68 for 10 nights and we really enjoyed our experience over there. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel itself and rooms are simple but very practical and quiet.
We just used the subway/train/skyline everywhere we went and that was the best decision we've ever made.
The swimming pool gives you great views of the city and it's the perfect way to end a busy day.

checked in on august 12 .prior to booking of the room, it stated that the room comes with a shower/tub .when went in the room,the toilet only has a shower.when down to ask the counter.they told me my room dont have a tub and asked me to upgrade if i wanted a bath tub.

during the first night felt the pillow was real thin,it felt like was lying on just the bed,asked to change,they cant change for me too.second day came back notice the bedsheet wasnt changed too .informed the counter then they got it change out.

overall the hotel is clean,rooms is very spacious, but the location isnt very convenient if you are not familiar in bangkok ,opposite has a convenient stall but close around midnight,has to walk around 10minute to the nearest 7-11.take cab around 40bhat to nearest mrt station.the hotel comes with a roof top pool too.

Illusionary comfort

The food very limitied and the room lighing reminded me of a fallout shelter grey cement walls with flood light. The travel tour/host for the hotel was a complete liar and rip off artist. Hotel located far from main area of bancock attractions not family orientated as well.

Good staff

The staff are the only thing that makes this hotel worth staying at. otherwise, it's really not looked after properly. loads of insects, wifi never works (anywhere in the hotel), bad location, lights inside the room so dim that you could barely see anything at night.

Accommodating but location not convenient

The hotel is located on a busy road which made it easy to flag down a taxi. The main problem was when we wanted to return to the hotel, many taxi drivers said it was too far. The hotel has basic accommodations, but was very clean and accommodating for the price. There is a 7 Eleven down the road, a nice local shop with good genuine Thai food across the street. There is also a coffee shop right next door. The pool was okay, but the staff was great at getting us new towels whenever we needed. It was also nice that they had a tour assistance as it was easy to plan trips.

Happy coustomer

Nice hotel, close for the bus station and regional airport . You can have a late check out at 6pm for £7 I was happy with this or free if check out at 2pm ,
This is my 2nd visit the staff are friendly
I still have not used the pool , but I would recommend this hotel if you are using the regional airport or North bus station .

Functional facilities

Although a little out of the way and of the beaten track the hotel was cool, quiet and convenient. The pool was a fantastic treat and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
