This is a regular stop over when we are travelling between Inverness to France and back. The staff are always very friendly and the rooms are always immaculately clean. This has become like a home from home for us and we thank you.

Fantastic stay - perfect for an overnight before a flight. Super helpful service and nice comfy and clean room. Reception staff kindly refunded breakfast cost when we checked in as they could not accommodate a ‘to go’ option that day, but they said they would have been able to if we requested in advance.

Everything was good. The staffs were really good and the breakfast was great. It was a buffet filled with lovely Scottish breakfast. The hotel property was really good. But one thing which could be improved is that when we were on the bedroom we could hear noise from the adjacent rooms. Also the shower curtains could be better cleaned.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a couple of problems. First was toilet not flushing in room, but the Polish girl on desk was great. She tried to get maintenance help but eventually got us a change of room. Second was my wife had to return her dinner plate twice because salmon wasn't cooked properly. Again staff great as waitress obviously took salmon off bill and gave my wife a free pudding. Breakfast was nice, i thought it was continental but was surprised when there was hot food as well.

The staff were all wonderful. The restaurant looked very nice, but I didn't eat there. They had a weird rule where you couldn't bring any outside food in and eat in your room. I just thought that odd, and never had seen that in a hotel before. Also, the walls were paper thin. I could clearly hear the conversation in the room next to me, and those people weren't being loud at all.

The staff were really helpful both at check in and in the restaurant. The person serving breakfast was particularly good. The room was clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay. There was one fault, an annoying dripping tap somewhere. Sounded like the room above, went on all night. That didn't detract from the fact the hotel was clean and a pleasant place to spend the night.

Staff excellent food was terrific but on entering room tv did not work eventually a member of staff stood on a chair and reset it. No bbc1 on channel 1, channel 2 was bbc3 the next morning found bbc1 on channel 10. Fan in toilet noisy, and no sweetener with the coffee.

Lovely hotel and family suite was clean and spacious. No towels were left out so had to ask for them at reception and this was rectified straight away.
Poor breakfast. No vegetarian option so we didnt have much choice. Asked for vegetarian sausages and was told this is something that should have been pre ordered when i booked the hotel. I didnt realise this as all other hotels cater to vegetarians. Disappointing

The whole of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also accommodated an early \"check in\", for us. The food was really good, tasty and presented lovely.
The rooms were very clean and tidy.

A little underwhelming.
I booked 3 double rooms for three days as we were working at Knockhill circuit just up the road. All 3 rooms had the same issues. Low water pressure, I was in 215 and it was not that good at all, the time of day never made a difference either. Wifi access, In my room there was no wife access at all I was told I must be out of range. I tries both wife addresses the hotel used but none would reach the room. I could not use my phone as a 'Hot spot\" either as at the back of the hotel where the room was had no phone reception . Nice tidy hotel but it's not one I would go to if you have work to do. I also had no desk in my room so no space for a laptop so it was work in the bar or nothing. 6/10 as generally nice tidy and clean, good staff but a few points that bring it down.

I would give zero stars if option to select. Do not book at this poorly run hotel. Booked a family room for 2 Adults and 2 Children. Checked in to find we were given a Room for 2 Adults with one double bed. Made a complaint at reception, but hotel fully booked. Receptionist said room should not have been released to us but no option and they hastily pulled out a sofabed and moved a double bed to the side to accommodate. This meant you could not access wardrobes, shelves or desk and had to crawl over beds to move to the other side of the room. Sofa bed not fit for purpose, mattress very springy and children unable to sleep. To make matters worse, the hotel manager tries to absolve responsibility by saying it was a family room, and they have taken our feedback for future! Absolutely disgusting and appalling behaviour. They clearly don’t put customers first and you can see this at reception where staff are junior and have no authority whatsoever in dealing with complaints effectively or efficiently. When asking for the manager, they are not on site and apparently do not work weekends.
Absolute rubbish. We are a principled family and I would hate for this to happen to another family, so they will be hearing from my solicitors for breach of contract. They do not understand who they are dealing with and I will be in this for the long run until a successful conclusion is drawn.

First appearance very good. Reception efficient and helpful. Access to rooms easy by keycard.
Evening menu provided a variety of options and were all of a good size and standard. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was disappointing with limited choices. There were no Scottish options available, square sausage and black pudding would have been welcomed. The toasters were very hit and miss with regard to their ability to toast correctly.
The main issue was that the radiator in the corridor to our rooms was on full and apparently could not be turned off. When we asked the receptionist about this, we were told that “the control is on an App on a phone and it is not possible to access it”. There was no individual control on the radiator itself. Because it was generally very hot during our stay (heatwave mid-August), this had the effect of heating the rooms which necessitated sleeping with the window wide open to try to make it more comfortable. Fortunately it was very quiet at night.

The shower trap had not been taken out, the shower head was covered in dirt and mould and there were numerous long black hairs in the bathroom.
A bit disappointed with the hotel this time and may not book again.

Had a lovely weekend at the Adamson Hotel...
Clean hotel , comfortable beds ,pillows perfect for me ...rooms pretty basic ,but adequate for what we wanted.
Staff... when checking in there was only one person doing bar and reception deck , so had a good 10 min wait to check in
But on the whole staff were very polite .
Restaurant was lovely, ate in both evenings and service was great ... and not a single complaint about the food , both evenings it was gorgeous and value for money.
Would definitely recommend this hotel .

I like to stay here whilst working at Knockhill as it is quiet, comfortable and serves excellent food until a reasonable time so I can get back and eat. Wifi is OK downstairs but patchy in rooms. Ample Parking. Well appointed rooms which have been refurbished to a very good standard, with plenty of power points etc. The only issue was the shower could have been better. It looked good, but if you wanted a hot shower it was less powerful.

It is frequented by coach parties so if you timed breakfast wrong, that could be an issue. Worth asking at reception when they would be eating to avoid?

I know ‘rainfall’ showers are the thing these days, but they really aren’t great. Zero water pressure and even at the hottest setting it was barely warm. Took so long to shower as it was a trickle…
Other than the rubbish shower, the overall stay was good.

Premises is clean but rooms are basic. Tea facilities in room but two of the teabags were soiled. so just threw them in the bin. No iron or ironing board in the room so i asked at reception and had a very contaminated iron delivered to me. Also no phones in the room so guests have to walk to reception if they need anything. Frustratingly they don’t take Amex, so had to use personal credit card. Also they don’t offer the option to charge dinner to the room account, it has to be paid separately in the bar. Food choice is limited. Breakfast was also limited and the cooked offering not very palatable.

alright for cheap bed for the night but below what you would expect of a hotel. Much scope for improvement.

Great pub and excellent place to stay. My first time at the Adamson, turned out to be a great choice. The pub and restaurant have been completely refurbished with plenty of nice places to sit. The new fireplace and bar area look fantastic and there was a pleasant atmosphere. The bar and restaurant was used by both guests and locals, very spacious between tables, lounge chairs and quiet. Parking was easy, even with locals using the restaurant.

My room as very comfortable, I just a had a single bed room, but it was just fine. My bed seemed new and comfortable. The room had recently been renovated. My bathroom was nicely appointed, good water pressure. Room heating was great and it was quiet at night.

Breakfast was excellent, full cooked breakfast (and fresh….). A ok selection of cereals, coffee and tea. Also lots of fruit and yogurt. 👍

It’s a spacious, stylish and comfortable place to stay. Excellent for an overnighted or staying longer. I really liked the lounge areas and the large fireplace. Likewise the staff are really warm and friendly, locals too. I’d stay again.

Beautifully updated/extended hotel. Very smart and clean. Welcome and service excellent throughout.
Room was in original building - quite compact but adequate. Newly and very nicely decorated. Very tight space between bed and bathroom so moving around difficult. Comfortably warm. Very basic bathroom and disappointingly poor shower. Only one bedside table/ light. “Awful” mattress so not most comfortable sleep.
However, excellent value for money. Good dinner and very good breakfast

We stayed for 3 nights and were exhausted when we left. I would say this hotel is great for a 1 night stay, but not good if you are looking to relax for a few days.
There were 2 weddings over 2 nights during our stay. Could not hear the music etc when upstairs but people coming back to rooms slamming doors (no silencers on doors), talking very loudly, hairdryers on after midnight and tv's blaring, it was very difficult to get any sleep.
We thought the third night would be different with no wedding, but exactly the same noise wise. I think even getting soft close doors would help.

Staff were fabulous and willing to assist with anything. Room was spacious enough apart from the bathroom which you could only just manage to close the door whilst on toilet. Showers were a little difficult as it was like getting water supplied from a water pistol so no chance of washing long hair.

Breakfast was ok with decent choice. Was looking forward to some local scottish sausages but they were pure mush so didnt choose them again after first breakfast.

Really impressive looking hotel with great staff. It was just a shame no relaxing could happen.

Absolutely fantastic Our only fault was Although breakfast was good and plentiful it was a bit cold and it was before nine Maybe something that should be looked at at people really don't like cold food
