When i vist in this hotel I already paid my living charges before but they asked me to pay tourism tax which is $11 usd amd when i gave them my credit card their credit card machine did not gave the receipt and they said they did not charge it . And they tried 2 times from my credit card and the same process and then i gave them my another credit card still same problem, their credit card did not gave receipts and they said they did not charge it but when i saw my account balance my money was deducted 4 times , means their crime card machine charged $11 from my account 3 times and my another account one time . So total 4 times its showing that they charged $11 from my account which is total $44 but they said they did not charge it anything only my money is floating and i hve to call my bank . The same problem its was on their dinner buffet . I gave them my credit card for 2 persons and bill is $26 usd but when they put my credit card their machine did not gave the receipt and they said they did not charge it but when i saw my balance my money was deducted $26 by thier hotel but they said my money is only floating and they did not gave us food of buffet dinner. But in Malaysia when i went outside from their hotel i did not face any kind of this problem. My card was working and receipts came out outside when i did my shopping. So this hotel credit card machine hve big problems so when ever people so this hotel make sure give them cash . Otherwise u will face same problem .

Swimming pool is super dirty

During peak hours, you need to wait atleast 45min for the lift!.

Luckily the morning buffet breakfast is good, but you need to come early or else need to wait in long que for your table.

Too many people, including workshop participants, making it not that suitable to relax, meeting/discussion room facing/ near the pool, making many uncomfortable to swim, but the plus point is the view of KLCC and KL Tower from our junior suites

saya dah tempah bilik bersama sarapan. tetapi pihak hotel mengatakan saya tidak bayar utk sarapan. oleh itu saya tpaksa bayar rm60 utk sarapan saya sekali lagi. bila saya check dalam itternary yg dihantar oleh expedia kepada saya memang tkejut ada sarapan. Why itternary Expedia tidak sama dengan pihak hotel tamu?? ini sangat menyusahkan pelanggan.

Hotel is very badly managed

Check in took half an hour, hotel is very badly maintained, dirty walls etc., swimming pool impossible to use since its full of people swimming in clothes, nothing to eat on breakfast, there is a beautiful view from the restaurant on the top, but they do not serve any alcoholic drinks, it was written that room service is available 24 hours, but actually they were closing everything around 11 pm.

The front desk manager in charged at that time was very helpful. Friendly working staff. Room accommodation @ 32nd floor (2 bedroom suite) was very satisfactory. Got balcony. Breakfast lots of variety to be chosen. perfect ! Go to 14th floor pool area where u can get the best view of kl @ night. Overall the best hotel so far i had stayed.

Dont book the 2 bedroom suite if you want to have klcc view or kl tower view. You will just get Istana Budaya view and HKL. However, you can have klcc n kl tower view from the pool at level 14.

Check-in was fast however the staff did not brief the check out time, breakfast time and place, which lift to use (2 bedroom suite have to use the back/parking lift), wifi usage etc. He just check my ID and payment. Then give the room card and nothing else. I have to ask about the details but I didnt expect about the lift so was a bit lost with my old parents going here and there to find the right lift.

The room was spacious and furniture was okay looks new. Camera security install to see whoever rings the door bell

location was good for street food. View of petronas tower from hotel is limited unless you are in common areas.
Free breakfast is ok. However if you are staying longer, you will be disappointed to eat same breakfast menu every day

You get what you pay for

Well, you get what you pay for. Oddly, there is nothing really wrong with the place. The rooms are perfectly acceptable. The lobby feels 5 star-ish. The building looks like it should be 5 star. BUT, nothing really hangs together. The restaurants are really devoid of character, the local area is cut off from the centre of KL, and worse of all, the pool was dirty and I was not prepared to use it. So checked out (was refunded my last night) and went to the Mandarin Oriental. Chalk and cheese. But double the price.

So, if on a budget and want a 5 star feel, this could be for you. If you want a proper 5 star experience, don't!

Big hotel in the middle of kampung baru kl in chow kit area. The room was big but need to take care of cleaning the room, as hairs were on the bathroom floor. The iron was there but without ironing board. The check in staff were not profesional and needed more training because they keep on talking among themselves when the customers at the counter. Can't find any convenient store nearby.

Great stay at Tamu Hotel :)

Food is beyond expectation. Ordered mee goreng mamak and cucur udang for room service. The order came in a nice big blue box. That was the first surprise. The second surprise was when my husband opens his mee goreng mamak, two big fried prawns were in it. And when I turned my cucur udang, I also discovered two big prawns in it. Worth every cent of the money we paid for it. And breakfast was superb. A lot of extra menu that I have never found in other hotels. Great hotel :)

However the room i get is not very clean, the floor is dusty. But thanks to the fast action from front desk and room service, they make quick responded and clean my room ASAP. Really appreciate it.

Other thing i really enjoy the cafe view. It was really great and you can see KLCC and KL tower from there.

Great place to stay, nice spacious room with a fabulous view of the city. There was a huge selection of yummy foods at the breakfast buffet and all the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The location was good as well, it was fairly close to everything, we found it was a comfortable walking distance to most of the places we visited in the city centre.

Place was very close to local eateries (traditional, seafood..). getting around the city was convenient and affordable via the grab app platform. staff were great and accommodating. allowed me to check in early for a short rest before exploring the city. room pool and restaurant had an awesome view.

The view was good but facilities and food choices (breakfast buffet) need some improvement. For 49/- per pax it’s way overpriced and does not offer good choices. Very limited rather. Refills were also very slow and overall they probably need to employ more stuff because tables took a long time to be cleared.

The food served at breakfast was not up to scratch. The bread was dried out and food in general was not tasty.

For a new hotel they seriously need to improve alot.

A very pleasant, Shariah-Compliant-Hotel. Pleasant stay in a Suite Room for 2 consecutive days. F&B were pleasing of both M'sian and international spread of cuisine. One small request but a very significant impact to customers: by all means, please provide extra at least 1 toilet roll for customers' convenient usage. Had to request over and over again from the front desk in 2 days.

It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious...
Rooms are warm while outside is very cool. Well maintained hospital. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose Tamu hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

The infinity pool is a winner

I stay in hotels at least 50 nights a year so I get a pretty good sense of each one. This is a nice, modern hotel. Large rooms with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Wonderful infinity pool wrapping around 3 sides of the hotel on level 14. Just a couple of minor things for me to comment on. The (nice big) tv has only one English language channel, a very boring news station. The hotel is just a little bit remote. There are 2 train stations each about 600m for the hotel but it's still a bit of an issue getting to them and other attractions, particularly if, like now, it's the rainy season. Finally, I was surprised at check-in to be asked for a deposit of RM100 PER NIGHT. I stayed 8 nights. I have never been asked for a deposit of that size. In the end we agreed on a credit card deposit of 300RM, substantial but reasonable. The front desk officials said the 100RM per night was 'policy' as their justification. I think they need to review that quickly and have a fixed deposit of up to 300RM because their systems allow them to check room bills and mini-bar usage daily to get any necessary top-ups during an extended stay. Other than that, I liked this hotel.

We loved our stay at the Tamu. The staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The infinity pool with a view of Petronas Towers was truly spectacular. We ate twice at the cafe/restaurant on the first floor and enjoyed both meals. A short walk and trip on the underground railway takes you to the impressive shopping centre below the Petronas Towers. Overall, a wonderful location and a very comfortable stay.😀
