We had the most delicious lunch at Ro Bo, the hotel's restaurant which is on a par with a Michelin-starred establishment. The hotel manager was very friendly and gave us lots of great recommendations for things to do during our stay, including visiting the nearby Lascaux Caves. Our room was beautiful and quiet, and the air conditioning was perfectly set, which was great for catching up on sleep. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

We really loved our stay at this hotel! The hotel is so historic and beautiful! Our room was clean, spacious, and had cold air conditioning! The housekeeping service was excellent. The front desk staff were so helpful to us and we appreciated them very much. We did not eat at the hotel but walked to several very good restaurants and cafes. Parking was right in front of the hotel. The town is so walkable and just lovely. We visited both Lascaux II and IV and well as other historical sites and they were all a short drive from the hotel. We were gone for six weeks in total through Spain, France, and Italy, including a transatlantic cruise and our stay at this hotel and the entire experience of visiting the caves was our highlight of the entire trip. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone!!!!

5 stars is not good enough for this wonderful property. Everything about it is scrumptious. Huge rooms beautifully outfitted, lovely public spaces, and a perfect location in the village.
We hope we can return some day.

the problem is the property was listed on Expedia as an \"upscale spa\" with a long list of spa amenities. but, it's not a spa at all. they give you a brochure for a spa across the bridge and down a few blocks that you can book with. when i brought this up with the manager, Delphine, she blamed it on Expedia. After my complaint the misleading listing and description was all changed. besides this, the hotel is quite nice, great rooms, friendly staff and a nice onsite independently run restaurant.

Stunning property in a equally beautiful French village. The hotel is exquisite.
The walkable village is lovely with many shops
and good restaurants. Highly recommend.
Close driving distance - 5 mins to Lascaux caves, 8 mins to Chateau Losse.

Luxury without the stuffy

Unexpected luxury in the heart of Dordogne. You could feel the grandeur and history of the hotel. Tastefully preserved with all the modern comforts. Plus a close walk to the medieval town and riverside.

We booked the suite, a perfect escape for our family of 4 (plus a toddler). The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurants was special, with a unique deluxe menu of local foods/wines. We sadly didn’t try the pool or spa, but would definitely recommend all the amenities.

This place was so beautiful. When we arrived, the staff was nice and welcoming. The rooms were also spacious with great views. We had a plumbing issue in our first room and they promptly moved us to another room with an even better view. It's perfect if you're looking for a quiet getaway. And the pool had just opened, which was also wonderful. All around a great property and I hope to go back one day!

Fifteenth century manor house on the river in Marignac, restored and tastefully converted to a ten room boutique hotel, with elegant salons, pleasant terraces, excellent restaurant and charming staff. They are adding a spa and swimming pool. Gorgeous place in a delightful village. Very convenient to Lascaux IV. I would return with pleasure.

Beautiful hotel & rooms. Parking right outside the hotel. Room was beautiful but missing a few things like water, coffee machine & chairs for relaxing in.
€8 for 2 coffee’s is pretty expensive, as is €12 for a small cocktail.

The location is superb being close to the many things to see. Parking in front of the hotel was readily available. There is a wonderful park across the road for a scenic view of the river and a picnic lunch. You can have a glorious dinner at the hotel.

The place is really old of course and thus space in the room can be challenging. Curtains in the room to block the morning sunlighare very effective but is not easy to open or close. Closet door canno be full opened as it hits the foot of the bed. The bathroom door is a bit creeky. They have a safe on a high shelf so is a bit hard to access. They have a bathrobe which is nice. Plus a pool which we did not try out.

If the exterior doesn't impress, nothing will. Balcony rooms are accessible by anyone on premises, so heads up, it's not private. Other than that, it was a winner for us!

Lovely building with nice view

Good welcome at reception and beautiful old room. Reception staff excellent and made good recommendations for dinner and sightseeing in spite of my limited French and her limited English. Room clean, spacious and quite unique.
On the downside the restaurant wasn’t open on Monday or Tuesday evenings and breakfast wasn’t great value though the quality was good.
Nice historic building convenient for Lascaux and further exploration.

a bit let down

arrived early and the room was ready only to be told that the restaurant would be closed at night. we had a call from the hotel to say that the restaurant would be closed for lunch and open in the evening. very disappointing as it was my husband's birthday. there was no tea or coffee in the room and the bar was shut as well. very disapointing and would not be recommending it to anyone. breakfast a was 17 euro's and there was corn flakes and bread, jam etc we thought it was expensive for what we got.

Très bel Hôtel situé dans un bâtiment classé Monument Historique, juste devant la Vezere.
Personnel très aimable et de bon conseil.
Hôtel superbement décoré, avec goût et raffinement, tout comme les chambres dont les moindres détails ont été pensés par l’architecte d’intérieur.
Magnifique et vaste chambre, bien équipée, notamment avec des produits cosmétiques de qualité.
Sympathique piscine.
Parking devant l’hôtel.
Un superbe hôtel, raffiné, à conseiller sans aucune restriction !

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel installé dans une magnifique demeure en pierre du Périgord. Plusieurs tailles de chambres, dont certaines avec terrasse, selon les besoins et les envies. Dommage que les rideaux se soient pas opaques, en plein été on est réveillé très tôt par les premiers rayons de soleil. Bémol sur le petit déjeuner, avec des viennoiseries insipides et aucun produit fait maison.

Tres bel hotel, notre chambre etait petite, pas insonorisee, pour un 4 etoiles, pas de plateau d'acceuil dans la chambre, coffre fort pas accessible, papier toilette pas de qualite.
Le personnel est tres agreable et nous avons tres bien mange au restaurant.

Bel hôtel, mais restaurant pas a la hauteur

La suite pour 4 personnes qui nous a été donnée était au premier abord incroyable... Ensuite quelques petits détails lié au fait que l'hôtel est un vieux château (parquet ancien avec quelques trous, fenêtres disjointes..). Par contre, le restaurant n'est pas à la hauteur, la carte contient des plats aux noms compliqués... Et finalement plutôt sans goût.. Pour 275€ à 4... Des progrès à faire de ce côté là.

Bel hôtel, manque d’expérience, un peu cher!

Bel hôtel plein de charme et bien restauré. Bien situé pour la visite de Lascaux et à proximité des restaurants. Chambre correcte et très sobre. Un petit manque d’expérience du personnel à la réception est à l’origine d’un malentendu par rapport au prépaiement de la chambre et la facturation. Petit-déjeuner relativement dispendieux. À recommander avec réserve.

Très belle demeure, décoration de très bon goût, accueil et service attentifs. Nous avons également dîné au restaurant de l'hôtel : là encore, une très belle surprise. Carte courte, très bons produits et cuisine créative. Une très belle pause après -ou avant - Lascaux.
